We had reservations on a Monday night but still had to wait nearly a half hour to be seated. The restaurants was quite busy and maybe it was because it was one of the last nights for a $20 off coupon that went out in recent mailings. Once we were seated we had a friendly waiter and very good service. I was not impressed with my house salad that came with the meal which was nothing more than a wedge of iceberg lettuce with a little salad dressing drizzled on it and a very few tiny salad shrimp strewn on the wedge and let me not forget the four cherry tomatoes sitting on the side. To eat my salad I had to cut bite size pieces of the wedge. The other person in my party was much more impressed with the tomato basil soup that came with his meal instead, than I was with the salad. I will say the salad dressing was quite good despite my dislike for being served a hunk of lettuce. My entree was of a pretty modest portion with only 6 medium sized prawns, red potatoes and a few green beans. It was also one of the more lower priced entrees also so the modest sized portion went with the price. The quality of the taste of the dish was, on the scale of one to ten about a six. Nothing to get overly excited about but decent and that is in general how I feel about this restaurant. When you feel like eating out but want to go as you are and keep it more moderately priced, this is the place to go. You still have a great view and a nice ambience here and great service. read more

This was very disappointing. The service was poor (took 20 minutes to get a soda), but better than the meal. Medium here means well done and Luke warm. I wasn't sure if my meal had been microwaved because that is how it tasted. We will never go back. read more

Thid restaurant is normally one of my favorites how ever on my Wednesday visit they stumbled and I have a couple suggestions. 1. When the general manager is addressing a customer complaint, like she did with the table next to ours. Please ask the tables nearby how their service is so far! You might Learn something, such as the table in the corner has sat dirty dishes piled high and pork chop bones on the floor since prior to our food arriving and still there after we left, and we had dessert. 2 don't comp the people who said the bread was bad, it was and you kept serving it. Dry cold tasteless. I took a picture of the table, oh yes three tables nearby finished and they were all bussed promptly, but not the one I got to stare at the entire meal 3. Ok I just had Lunch yesterday and Simply put.....it was fantastic. The fish and chips were crisp and tasty..... my wife had Salmon again perfect. Our favourite HH place. Blue cheese salad is the bomb! $3/5/7 are very reasonable price. Great view of the marina. Outside seatings. Fireplace indoor. Sometime we can't find a seat but when we do we love it. Yeah, service is kinda slow. So be a little patience and order all your stuff right away! Not great for arranging a large group for there is no guarantee you will get seatings. Especially on a sunny afternoon. Been going there for years now. Still recommend it again and again. read more

Delicious! The service and food are always good! The drinks are tastey and the happy hours appetizer menu is spectacular. We ALWAYS bring our out of town guests here for lunch or dinner and sometimes sunday brunch. The view of the marina is perfect from almost any seat in the restaurant. read more

A bit disappointed. I had calamari for an appetizer, which was fine. The entree was flank steak. I ordered it medium rare. Depending on which slice it was either medium or raw. The green beans were well done. To add to the Denny's type ambiance, I was seated by a family with two screaming kids. I cannot recommend the food here. This was my first visit came for my sister's bday dinner. It was a 4:30 reservation. Wasn't that hungry when we came, by the time we got our food I was pretty hungry. I wasn't expecting such a small portion. I ordered the steak and prawn. It has some flavor. My husband ordered the prime rib and was highly disappointed. Not worth the prices! I ordered shrimp which was supposed to have potatoes.....well... only six shrimp served, an enormous bowl of potatoes and $18 later, I was trying to kindly open a conversation and tell the waiter that it was a bit ridiculous to charge that much for a bowl of potatoes when it says shrimp on the menu, he basically darted away so fast I couldn't even say anything! This place has gone from pretty good most of the time, to mostly bad, most of the time. It is sad to say because this was a go-to place on the Everett waterfront. The menu has gone from good to meh, and the service from solid most of the time to horrendous. We will not be back. If you have a decent palate, don't waste your money. The Cheese and Garlic appetizer was composed of something lukewarm and mealy in a pot; the salads were fine; entrees of Steak Oscar and the same penne mentioned by another reviewer pasty and flavorless. I told my partner, "It tastes like everything has water added to it - like the flavor should be there, but it's not". The creme brûlée had a strange texture and the sugar top was not adequately caramelized, and was therefore gritty. What was good: nice, attentive service and the (locally-harvested) huckleberry slump. Don't go, unless you just want a drink! My glass of $5 chard was lovely. read more

EASILY THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE I' VE EVER HAD. I ordered pasta, and one hour later (despite the place being empty of customers) got completely uncooked noodles that smelled horrible. I think they just dumped them out of a box and threw a stinky, slimy sauce on top that had god-knows what in it. The chicken that came with it was not cooked all the way through, still pink in the middle. I never complain to the waitstaff or manager, but I did this time. They offered to remove the charge from our tab, but didn't offer any other food as replacement. My husband's 6 oz. steak with NO sides was at least edible, so we shared it and left. We paid $45 for ONE shriveled steak and two glasses of water. The manager shrugged. The waiter could not have cared less. Absolutely horrible. I will never go back. read more

Great calamari and steak! Everything will definitely be the way you want it, and of course that comes with the high price of this upscale semi-romantic restaurant. The service is great and I can't get enough of their fresh baked bread! That being said, the Caesar salad was perfect, but an iceberg salad was literally a quarter of an iceberg lettuce covered in ranch! This one item is the reason for the 4 star rating I gave! If you don't order this you will surely have a 5 star experience, and be sure to bring that special someone who deserves such a fabulous night out! read more

Happy Hour at the Woodfire is fantastic! Great prices and great happy hour menu. I rarely eat outside the bar for official dinner. My only complaint is that it's a little tough to find seating in the bar area during peak Happy Hour times around 5 to 7. read more

Came here for a family of 6 celebration. Food was good, but served luke warm due to wait staff. Waiter was horrible. Sadly manager and other wait staff were seen hanging around on walls, chatting, etc. A good manager would have seen this and been all over it. I know having worked at a local competitive restaurant for 3 years in the Mukilteo area. If I were the owners, both would be fired. Wiater took 10 minutes to greet us. Beer was served with head dissolved and 1/2" empty. Appies were cold. Waiter didn't even serve the food -- others did. Waiter didn't even offer second drinks. Wouldn't return based on waiter. The hostess is never friendly, the wait for the bar is ridiculous, being they allow people to cut and then after fighting to get in for the specials, the quality has gone WAY downhill. The pizza has been hard as a rock or burnt, the garlic spread has been watered down and the wings are nearly half the size they were 6-months ago. The Garlic & Herb Chicken used to be my favorite meal, however they have these awful cooked carrots with the chicken, again now smaller for the premium price. What a disappointment. I gave it one star because the food tasted good. The waiter was nice, but it took forever to get our food which was totally over priced. $16 for a bowl of seafood mac and cheese? My boyfriend is 6'4" and a big eater. This should have been an appetizer. At the end of the night our waiter brought the check and then disappeared. We tipped way more generously than we probably ought to have, especially when we finally got tired of waiting for our waiter to collect our payment and took our bill up to the hostess to have collected. Just got back from lunch with my mom and 2 daughters. The service was incredibly SLOW! The service was slow from the moment we arrived! We ordered as soon as our waiter showed up (about 10 min after we were seated), then we waited & waited & waited... It took 30 min for our food to arrive. The plates were really hot, so I assume they had been ready a long time. As soon as our food arrived, I asked for the check because my 1 and 3 year old were getting antsy. Again we waited & waited & waited for the check to come. After we finished eating and I took my daughter to the bathroom, I tracked our waiter down and asked for the check again. Luckily I had cash, who knows how long it would have taken for him to run a credit card. read more

I went to the wood fire at 3:00 this afternoon with friends. The waitress asked it we wanted to have a beverage. I said well yeah. We sat and waited for an hour. Then my friend said to the waitress. Can we have a drink the waitress said she would not serve us that another waitress would help us. I not say another word to this lady the every one of the staff members were rude and cold and wouldn't serve us. It was very uncomfortable and I did not deserve that treatment. Went in for the Mother's Day brunch with family. Highly disappointing. It was advertised to include a fruit platter and blueberry coffee cake as part of the experience. That did not happen, the waitress explained it was the two slices of fruit and the dry cranberry scone that came with the brunch entrees (assuming breakfast items) please don't false advertise to your customers. Secondly their eggs are not even fresh eggs, they come from a carton like at a buffet. Lastly, our waters were not once refilled. Will not be back after this experience. read more

Started with a cup of crab and corn chowder which was barley warm, the bowl was taken up by 3 very large "croutons" which were actually just soggy cubes of bread. I ordered the mac and cheese with chicken for my main, the chicken was dry and stringy, the sauce was more garlic and grease then cheese, so off putting I couldn't eat it. My husbands fish and chips were over cooked and the freshness of the fish was questionable. Service was horrible, had to ask several times for water refill. Choice of wine by the glass was limited. The waitress did offer us a card for a discount for our next visit, both myself and my husband agreed that we wouldn't be back so left it on the table. Great views of the sound, went on a Saturday evening around 8:00. They were not very busy, but still took nearly an hour to get our food. My wife ordered grilled chicken which was very dry and I had steak and prawns which had a total of 3 prawns. Their sourdough bread was decent. read more

I went in for dinner a few days ago, not expecting much after reading reviews here. Wow did we have a better experience then you all did! The bar was packed so we sat in the dining room. I guess they changed most of their menu by lowering prices and adding more casual stuff. Let me tell the prices were great. The four of use had full dinners for less then 100 bucks with drinks. You can't do that anywhere anymore. I have a steak and it was good and the beef appetizer was great as well. The wine list had a bunch of bottled wines for 20 bucks and glass wines for 5, not bad. We asked the waitress why the changes and she said the owners wanted to give people a good deal when times are hard. Who does that? The look of the restaurant is ok, not great, but for these prices and food quality who cares. I will be driving down again for dinner soon and I think you all should give it one more shoot you might be surprised as I was. cheers read more
