Anthropology at Chandler Mall is always such a dreamy shopping experience! I'm a huge collector of the Anthropology Bistro Tile collections, and I love adding new seasonal pieces to my collection. Their newly released Halloween collection is absolutely adorable -- the perfect mix of charming, whimsical, and beautifully designed pieces that make my heart so happy! I picked up a couple of items to add to my collection, and I'm already excited to style them for the season. The store was clean, organized, and beautifully displayed, making it easy to browse and find exactly what I was looking for. During this visit, no one offered assistance, but I was able to find everything I needed on my own and had a smooth shopping experience. I absolutely love this store, especially the smell of it. I feel like they have a great variety of clothes, seasonal and home items. It's always fun to browse or to go in with a specific need, most likely they'll have it. Customer service is what made this trip the icing on the cake. I mentioned that I've been in previous trips and that items haven't rung up right and I noticed it when I got home. She said don't worry I'll hit the extra sale off. I said that's not what's happened, if the, "plate" or whatever item isn't rang in at the sale price than the 40% off isn't as helpful. She said I understand. She then checked that each item rang in correctly and then did the additional 40% off. She asked if I would like the receipt with me? I told her she did a perfect job and there's no need for me to review it. Her other co-worker finished up and asked if she could help wrap. I had two gift items separate from mine and they made sure to make them so cute!! I spend a considerable amount of money at this shop because I love their products, esp clothing and jewelry. I bought a necklace that was quite lovely, about two months ago. As you well know, the jewelry there is not inexpensive. The necklace clasp broke. I went to the shop this morning and did not have a receipt. I offered to have the information looked up on my debit card. But unfortunately, I had replaced my debit card because of fraud at my bank. The girl made a face, shook her head no and stated unfortunately, I had to have a receipt. I responded, I thought this necklace was pretty unique to this shop. She made a face and stared at me. I walked away, surprised at the lack of customer service. read more

We don't frequent this store often - likely because they don't have a good variety of sizes for their clothing items - but it's always clean and inviting. It's spacious and well maintained. The staff working here is friendly but not overbearing. You are able to shop and browse in peace, which I appreciate. read more

Perfectly curated feminine / modern / vintage inspired clothing, home accessories, gifts, furniture, bedding... Visiting the Dana park location Anthropologie is a dear treat as this mall is a beautifully spacious outdoor mall with low traffic... Meaning it's never busy! Anthropologie is a roaming experience where one cannot find a clear path around the store. This forces me to ping pong from rack to rack appreciating the product & merchandising. They put outfits together in each vignette but usually I focus on dresses. I was greeted when I entered the store and once I started selecting items, they started me a room and asked my name. I appreciated Linda in the fitting room- she was there to grab sizes if I needed her. Unfortunately the 3 way mirror is in the community area and this makes you basically "model" anything you want to see the back of. I really would love to see belts in the fitting room to try on with the clothing. The product here sells itself, the customer just needs to "discover" it! I behaved on this visit and purchased a "new" knit dress perfect for the summer/fall transition and their signature candle. Both the fitting room associate and the cashier shared they had just received it earlier in the week. The anthro program is helpful to be a member because they store your receipts on file in case of a return or exchange. read more

The customer service at this location is absent, I'm a frequent Anthropologie customer who shops in store and online and I was disgusted by the way the three girls working in the store refused to speak to me the night of 02/22/23. I was the only customer in the store and none of them greeted me. They were all just sitting behind the counter chatting and knew I was in the store but didn't care to ask if I needed anything. I was going to purchase something but ended up just ordering the item online when I got home. This is why brick and mortar stores are a dying breed because of employees who just don't care to help others, they are entitled and that's about it. read more

Anthropologie is my first choice for shopping when I want to dress like a Mormon Mommy Blogger. I'm not sure how these 22 year old stay at home moms can afford the steep prices, but I'll be damned if this stuff isn't super-feminine and adorable. Kidding aside, here's my advice for shopping at anthro. Shop the sale area but be aware that their sale prices can still be unreasonable for most people. When I see a belt *reduced* to $100, I kind of want to punch someone. You can find some gems in there though so it's worth taking the time to look. Know that most of the brands that anthro carries tend to vanity size so if you wear a size 14/16/XL, you will still be able to shop here. Sign up for their loyalty card so you can get 15% during your birthday month. That brings me to final bit of advice. Buy the anthro-exclusive AG Stevie jeans! They are the comfiest and most flattering jeans you will ever squeeze into. Other pluses for anthro: great return policy, electronic receipts, and helpful staff. Maybe it's because this store is in my neighborhood, but I definitely feel more comfortable shopping here than the Scottsdale location. read more

I am addicted to Anthropologie. I love absolutely everything about this place. I also love that I don't have to drive to Scottsdale to shop there. The staff is always very accommodating. I shop a lot online and have to return things occasionally. When I bring it into the store, they don't require the receipt or even tags to return! They are very helpful and give great styling tips! I suppose the only downfall would be the price but I think it's totally worth it. Their clothing is so unique and you know there won't be a ton of girls with the same top or dress as you. Good morning, I just wanted to share my experience at the Hyde Park location in Mesa Arizona yesterday afternoon. I normally visit the other locations in Scottsdale Az, but was in the area and decided to look for a few items on my wishlist, including candles as during the summer, it's pointless to have them delivered as they melt and arrive ruined. Shortly after my friend and I arrived, we were approached by someone I assume was the manager at the time and made small talk. Afterwards I began to browse around and look for items that I had saved on my wishlist. As I started picking up items to purchase, I noticed the woman was literally behind me after each item I picked up to place behind the counter. After that another salesgirl approached me to take a dish towel, which I thought was odd,but then I didn't have to carry anything. After looking around for a few more minutes, I looked around and also noticed that other customers had items in their hands but had not received the same "special" attention that I had received. At this point I decided to check out as I felt singled out and disappointed. Upon reaching the register, the salesgirl seemed surprised that I had more items than she thought. As she rang up my purchases, I asked her if she needed my phone number for the Anthro program as she had asked the two people before me for theirs without being prompted. Afterwards as I was leaving the store, my friend had told me that after we had talked to the manager, he overheard the manager tell the other salesgirl to watch us. I was now furious, as I didn't understand why we were being watched in the first place. I was wearing a tank top and shorts with pockets with just enough room for my car keys and no bags. While I briefly considered taking the items back to return them, I decided not to as the exchange would have been heated and I was not going to let my day be ruined because your employees made snap judgments about someone for whatever reason. The funny thing about this was that all of the items I purchased were large enough for anyone to see I would have taken (cake stand, wine glasses, cookbook, Large Voluspa candle, dish towel) over $100 worth of merchandise. The reason I decided to write this is because that after having a chance to reflect on it, I find this inexcusable and will no longer support that kind of behavior by continuing to shop at that location for anything and will let anyone know who asks me about the experience I had at your store in the future. read more

The manager at Dana Park Anthropologie is a horrible example of a leader. I have always loved the quote, a manager simply manages people but a leader leads people. This woman is setting a poor example for the type of customer service Anthropologie strives for. I have been an Anthropologie customer for over ten years now. I spend thousands of dollars there every year because their clothing is unique and so well made. I typically shop at the location in Kierland but have recently moved to Gilbert. I was in the mood to shop and spend some money so I decided to give the store a try. I immediately find four pieces that I love within a few minutes of being in the store. The manager walks up and asks if she can start me a dressing room. I kindly decline but thank her for offering. She gives me the nastiest look and insists that she take the clothes from me. I explain that I prefer to keep the clothes w me so that I can match them appropriately to pants or jewelry if I can (otherwise I forget what I've picked up and can't match outfits properly). She looks me up and down as if she is judging me and says, "suit yourself if you want to carry all of that you can." Annoyed, I continue to shop the store and am successful in finding several shirts, a few pants and dresses. I selected one wrap belt to pair w the dresses and hung it on one of the hangers. The manager i notice is watching me the entire time. Makes for a lovely shopping experience let me tell you. I start making my way to the dressing room, checking out things on the way. She follows me rather closely and asks if I am ready to try on. I reply that I am almost ready but just checking to make sure I didn't miss anything. She sighs and says, " ok I'll just wait for you." She puts me in a dressing room and says that I cannot bring the belt in the dressing room. I ask her if I can try it on outside of the dressing room in which she replies with attitude, "you can try it on as much as you want. I don't care. " ok then. I know I have brought a belt into the dressing rooms before. It became obvious to me that she was either just being a bitch or was paranoid and judging the fact that I look young and thinking that I might steal the belt. I'll have you know I don't go shopping and spend money in places that pre judge me or make assumptions about me. I make good money and I will not spend money w someone that is rude. She then calls on her radio to the other employees that she put me in a back room and that someone needs to come back and stand near my room. Another rude gesture but I tried to ignore hoping that she is just having a bad day. A girl ends up standing there the entire time playing w clothes on a rack in the back room pretending she is doing something. When I am done the manager magically pops up right away and makes sure to check my room right away. She asks if she can bring my clothes up to the register in which I reply no AGAIN because I still have sole looking to do. She makes a comment under her breath and walks away. I later go to cash out and a girl helps ring me up. I end up spending $500 or more at the store regardless of the poor customer service I have just received. As soon as the manager hears the girl say how much my total is she immediately comes over and changes her tone. All of the sudden because she realizes I am spending money she cares about what I am doing today and what other shopping I have to do. Where was this concern while I was shopping and did she forget the fact that she treated me like a 15 year old that she didn't think had the money to afford their clothes? While the girl was checking me out she told the manager that an employee called in saying she would be 20 minutes late. The manager didn't even acknowledge the girls statement not respond with a thank you or concern that the employee was ok. I am not surprised because with the way she treated me I would completely believe that she treats those that work for her even worse. This woman obviously doesn't lead by example and has no concept of customer loyalty and how to provide breakthrough customer service. In the end, I could have spent two thousand dollars because I loved the clothes. But I bought only what I really really wanted because I wasn't sure I'd find it at another location. But the fact that I had to consider not buying anything because of the way that I was treated is unreal. And I will not forget the experience I had. I will share this experience with my friends who also shop at Anthropologie and I will not shop at this location ever again. At least as long as she continues to manage that store. Poor management, poor customer service and a loss of a customer. Hope it was worth it. She needs to learn how to protect her store without sacrificing the customer's experience. read more

This store is very cute! It's a girls paradise. Every time I go into this store, I want to buy everything. It is appealing to the eye, smells good and the staff is very welcoming. The sale section in the back of the store is small and if there are several individuals back there it is hard to get around. They usually have good sales and the selection of items is usually very good. Since this store isn't in a main stream shopping area, you get to choose from more sizes. It also has it's downside that the store my not carry all of the items that the other stores carry. It is tucked away in a beautiful, upscale plaza in Mesa Arizona. The plaza is Dana Park. I have been to this Anthro probably about 4 times, I have been to Anthros all over the country as my job requires travel. They are all very friendly with the exception of this one, they never welcome you when you come In And when I bought something today they did not even say thank you. It's not any one person because I'm sure they have been different every time. It's just this one the girls here are the most unfriendly lack of disregard for the customer I have ever had. This is my favorite Anthropologie location aside from San Francisco (multiple stories of heaven)! The manager is absolutely amazing! I love her so much! She has remembered me from years and years ago of me shopping at the Scottsdale. I truly feel like a VIP every time I come by to shop. A while back, I was ordering some curtains and I mentioned an online-only chandelier I had my eye on. A month or so later, she called me and let me know that while they were re-doing their bedroom display, she found the same chandelier I wanted tucked behind other supplies in their storage room. She offered to sell it to me and even gave me a bit of a discount for a few scrapes and a little dust. I was blown away! The chandelier now is the focal point of my room, and I love it so much! Not only are the products they sell amazing and unique, but their customer service can't be beat! read more

This Anthropologie is spacious - it is a one-story building of course. I'm giving Anthropologie one star for their new birthday program. I used to get 15% off my purchase. I could spend $10 or I could spend $100. The new birthday program is a card for 15% off a purchase of $150. So in essence, here's $30 for your birthday and we get $120 out of it. This birthday program sucks! Anthro gives only if it gets something in return? That isn't a birthday gift. That's like giving my mother a gift certificate for her birthday for 15% off my legal services. Here, mom!
