100% recommend Antidote Outdoors. I came in looking for a rack but had no rails/no cross bars, and they set me up with everything I needed. They actually had just stopped making the rack I wanted, but had one extra in the warehouse - so they went and got it for me. The product is great, has held up through a few rain + snow storms and lots of desert sun. But really the people behind the company are what's incredible. The guys are super friendly and wanted to be helpful, but I'm sorry to say their products and their advertising are suspect. While the website listed the board with a 26 lb weight, what I got was over 30 lbs. They graciously offered to swap it for an upgraded model that they assured me was really 26 lbs (which i gave them an extra star for), but when it arrived the new one had visibly misaligned fin boxes - poor quality control I'm afraid. I probably wouldn't have said anything here, but they agreed to fix the faulty specs on their website and they never did. Sorry guys. read more

Stayed in constant contact adjusting his ETA as he drove north. He showed us the Doggie Standup Paddleboard which she loved and just like that, she had a brand new board. I admittedly made a huge mistake purchasing from Antidote. I paid $3,200 for a rooftop tent that leaks, along with a really terrible experience from the beginning with this company. I had a terrible experience from the beginning of no communication after multiple attempts to simply verify that a craigslist ad was legitimate (emailed through the website, called the company multiple times with no answer. There isn't a voicemail message at all, let alone one referencing Antidote Outdoors. There's a bit more to that story, but getting to the meat - my Stargazer RTT leaked when I received it. I wrote in to talk about how to get it fixed as it was under warranty, and their response was to remind me to "air out my tent" after use, and to "make sure the windows were zipped". I have been camping my entire life, and know the difference between some condensation buildup and a leak that has soaked the interior fabric lining and my mattress. After a lot of back and forth, they offered to give me $200 back. I declined, as that was yet another slap in the face from this company. I am so disappointed, and angry at myself for going against my better judgement and spending my money here. Maybe they are great to deal with locally, but they should really not be selling to people out of state if they can't provide a working product, or a solution for when their product is faulty. My experience may very well be a one-off, but it has shown that they do not know how to respond when issues do come up, and do not care to resolve it. Please, please beware. I don't want anyone else to make a $3200 mistake. I wish I had had a review like this to read before I went forward. Antidote - you have some great reviews, and clearly have some neat products. But you have really, really missed with your customer service. Again, they did not even acknowledge any of the issues I had in simply trying to purchase or get information, which is a detailed story. I know I'm just one little person from Idaho, but I hope that there is some type of change made in how they handle situations like mine. read more

Had online listings at different prices in So Cal Area. They admitted there were several listings at different prices but said 'it was mistake'. Did not honor the lower price of only $50. I do not feel this is Good Business and certainly Bad Karma. Not Aloha. I called around some shops/surf craft professionals since I have not personally seen/used their boards. Supposedly taking advantage of Covid and the current 'great market' for SUPs. Supposedly Boards are not made to last (like a surftech), no retail shops carry them, they are just selling them out of warehouse. Most likely Made in China. read more

Wanted to purchase a rooftop tent from these guys because they had a good price and I see their paddleboards all over south bay. I picked out the one I wanted after chatting with some of their people, but on the weekend it was supposed to be delivered they let me know that they had run out of the one I wanted. I was a little bummed but decided to get the bigger one because I was eager to get out and camp. The guy who came to deliver it was kind, he had some issues with snow and ended up coming a day later, but I appreciated the communication. I started to take out the hardware and figure it all out, only to find I was missing over half of the hardware I needed. I called the company and they said they would send out the missing stuff asap. Missing pieces came a few days later and I got my neighbor to help me get it on my car to mount, only to realize the mounting hardware didn't work. Again, I was pretty frustrated but contacted the company asking if they had longer bolts, different brackets, or could help me figure something out. Whoever I spoke with just kept trying to convince me to buy different crossbars for my car, and gave me no real help. I ended up having specialty brackets made and got the tent up. I finally went out to use my tent on a camping trip and the first and only night I got to use it, the tent would slowly collapse on me about every 5-10 minutes. I got no sleep, as I was repeatedly being woken up being nearly crushed by a tent that couldn't support it's own weight. I contacted the company that morning and they told me the gas struts may have moved during shipping. I inspected the struts later and found one of them had blown out, and actually damaged the side of the tent in the process. I contacted the company yet again asking for information on parts or just requesting some kind of support and they didn't even have the decency to respond. The frame of the tent appears to be the same as roofnest, only difference is the inner tent material (which I wasn't particularly impressed by), so I would save yourself and buy from a company that may actually care about their products and show some respect to their customers. read more

I went paddle boarding in Lake Las Vegas for the first time last summer and I was hooked! It sounds super hippie like but it was really peaceful just paddling on that open water. I have since moved to Southern California and was shopping around for a paddle board and didn't realize how expensive the boards are! Most places you'll be paying upwards of $1000!! B*tch please. Ain't nobody got time for that. Costco was the cheapest price I was able to find before Antidote Paddle at around $700 plus tax.
