They even said they had "never seen anything that bad" and insisted we needed to buy two new tires. I decided to get a second opinion at American Tire, and they found only two nails. If I could give them ZERO STARS, I would. Their service department is the absolute biggest rip-off around. I had them fix a broken temperature dial in my truck last year. After the "Fix" was in, the knob cable somehow got frayed and broke last week. I took it back to them today against my better judgement and they tried ripping me off again. They told me for a tidy little sum of $1,411.00, that they can re-fix the problem that I already payed $600.00 to fix last year. Weird that they never even mentioned a thing to me about the frayed cable when they fixed the dial last year. I have had several TERRIBLE experiences with John Carter, and the managers of the service department. I would absolutely buy another Toyota, but I will NEVER give these ripoffs another nickel of my money again. I have been taking my Toyota for service and fixes since last year to Reliable Automotive here on 18th Street by Macs Old House. Service Dept needs major revamp of their ridicules prices they charge their Toyota Customers. I was quoted $119 for an oil change, I asked if they can rotate the tires and they said, yes but it will cost you an additional $60, I asked why so much $$ since a rotation should not take no more than 10 min? their answer was, that is the just the rate. When i asked to use 10% discount coupon I got from their website, they refused since its not a scheduled maintenance therefore it does not apply to any work I am getting done in my car. So I refused the additional charge of the rotation. Very poor decision from this dealership to deny a lousy 10% Off coupon, especially in this economy...This is the last time I am visiting this dealership. What a Rip-off. read more

After spending $40,000 on a car and a couple thousand dollars extra for a warranty, first time I call over there to get a hold of anybody, they loop me around in circles on the phone forever and nobody ever answers the phone so I can't talk to anybody about the warranty. I have been a Honda family for many years because they lasted over 300k miles for me and I drive it to the ground. I just happened to check Toyota because it was fairly close and it was raining so I was going to do my car shopping the next day before the tariffs take effect(like I said my Honda is on its last legs over 300,000 plus miles) which would have added about $8000. to the car (included used cars as well). I was actually looking for used cars, thinking it would be much cheaper. Julius came out even in the light rain and helped us. He was great because he was not like those pushy salesmen I had in the past which irritated me and would turn me off right away with that kind of sales tactic. This guy was funny and had a very calm demeanor-a likeable guy! He was calm through the whole time which made it easier. He showed me all the ones I was researching and looking at other dealers and at Carmax, Carvana,etc (I was planning to go to CarMax for the wide selection the very next day). I hadn't planned n buying at Toyota at all. I liked many of the cars (in fact, they had a very nice used Mercedes SUV that looked brand new with white/cream leather seats and sharp in black with low mileage I really wanted-of course, my husband reminded me about repairs down the line-he is too practical because I would have gotten that one if by myself! So someone go get that one quick-a good deal!!!). The used cars were still in the 25-30K plus range and even more which was disheartening to me, but that was everywhere I looked and I was resigned to pay that much for a used car. Then the very last cars he took me too which he thought I would like were brand new, and exactly what I was looking for without even knowing it! It was a Toyota Corolla Cross SUV! I am used to the big SUVs but hard to find these days with the cargo space I had before. Now, it was time for a smaller suv(especially due to gas prices being uncertain but most likely going up with inflation and the Iran, Russia situation-yes, I think of everything that impacts my wallet!) and most of my kids are grown with their own cars. This still had remarkable cargo space for my Costco and Home Depot runs. It kimd of looked like the Honda CRV. I never even thought of a Corolla-yes, practical, fuel efficient with one of the best gas mileages I had seen so far! I liked the silvery blue(celestite color) exterior and white/light gray interior seats. Had a big screen too but not too big-just the right size. Drove like a dream! And BEST part it was cheaper than all the other USED cars I looked at online and at the dealers even-negotiated down to about 28k base! Julius went to bat for us back and forth- my husband refused to budge. You know that appealed to my frugal side! We both would have walked if they didn't negotiate. LOVE the car and was cheaper than both my used and new cars to insure too! I am a happy customer! All thanks to Julius-I could tell as soon as he met me that he assesses his customer very well and approaches them according to the customer's personality and demeanor. He is good at it-a natural salesman and patient with my multitude of questions! Oh and need to mention that they ETCH the vin numbert on all catalytic converters(included in the price) and there is Starguard on all vehicles and you can see where your car is located and police can as well. Also they have an SOS button if you get in an accident they will alert emergency(ambulances and police) and talk with you inside the car. This is provided free and Toyota Care which gives you two year's worth of free oil changes and tire rotations,etc. Giovanni, the finance guy, was friendly and personable. Only thing I did not like was I am not used to signing the contract first with 12 signatures and then looking at it! I am the one who reads every word of a contract and he insisted they can change anything later on-that did not seem right to me and they should have a sample for us to read first then sign it electronically. That part did not sit right with me to read it after-it was ok after, but still.... Lori, the business manager, was great as she called and did a follow-up. She answered any other questions and will help me with my app(Julius also stated he will help me) which I am impressed with her follow through! She is very thorough and good at what she does! Now I am a fan of Toyotas (last one was a Camry for one of my kids and now this car-so maybe I am now a Toyota girl instead of Honda!). You can't go wrong with either brand! THANK YOU ANTIOCH TOYOTA! Extremely disappointed with my experience at Antioch Toyota. I came in today to pick up my vehicle after having work done, and when a porter went to start it, we discovered the catalytic converter had been stolen and the transmission lines were cut while the car was in their possession. I was told by the General Sales Manager, Don Brown, that the service manager is on vacation until Tuesday and that there was no concrete answer he could give me about what is going to happen with my vehicle. I was advised by a service writer to keep my rental car and that my insurance would cover it, but when I contacted my insurance company directly, they said that was not correct. I understand people take vacations, but the fact that all decision-making stops because one manager is out is unacceptable. It is now Friday, and I am being told to wait until Tuesday just to get an answer about a serious situation involving theft and damage that occurred on their lot. I was also told that Antioch Toyota does not currently have a general manager to handle issues like this and that Don Brown reports directly to the owner. My question is: why hasn't the owner been contacted? Instead, I was told to go rent another vehicle and that it "sounds like" I would be reimbursed--again, nothing definite, nothing in writing, and no real plan. As of right now, they are doing absolutely nothing to actively help resolve this issue. No accountability, no urgency, and no clear communication. This has been incredibly frustrating and stressful, and I expected far better from a dealership of this size. Proceed with caution. read more

I have driven ALLLLL the way out to Antioch for my Highlander's service as in the past (and with my paid maintenance package) they were polite, easy and quick in-and-out and it was always easy to make an appointment. This is why the 2 stars (past experience). But this experience will cause me not to return. Their system texted me saying I had a service due and a recall to take care of. Using the link THEY sent me I scheduled the service which the system defaulted to including an oil change, and I selected I wanted the recall done. The service advisor said they'll do it "only if they have the clips, as they have to be pre-ordered." I said I've had this appointment on the books for more than a week, why wouldn't the clips be ordered? When the service was done, they didn't change the oil (said it didn't need it) and they didn't have the clips for the recall. SOOOOOO, I drove over an hour in Hwy 4 traffic to get my tires rotated. They said they'll call me when the clips are in for the bumper recall. 1. WHY would you allow someone to request a recall to be done when you're not even proactively getting the parts you'll need when the appointment is set? 2. WHY wouldn't you do my oil change when that is what I selected on my appointment? 3. WHY when Highlanders have a recall wouldn't you have these "clips" in stock? Service advisor made it sound "easy" so then why don't you have parts? We're all busy and I CHOSE Antioch Toyota but this time took almost 3 hours out of my day to get a simple tire rotation. So beware, don't order any services through their automated system, apparantly the information is not reviewed or verified before you get there and you may waste half your day. read more

These folks are genuinely dedicated to great customer service. The financing process was the same. I never felt pressured as I have been at so many other dealerships over the years. When I went to pick up the car, Jim and Ann's niece Laura was there to give me a very thorough (and patient) tutorial in how everything works in my car. Ahmad was a great salesman and answered all my questions and has a calm and patient personality whom I would absolutely recommend to family and friends. I sent him what I was looking for and they created confusion by having two different people responding to me. He then got incredibly condescending and rude when I replied saying I didn't receive his last email with the breakdown. After that I decided to go with another dealer. I then had a sudden loss in the family and missed the offer through the other dealer while prepping for the funeral. Great buying experience! This was actually the best buying experience I've ever had. All the way through the finance office. I used the internet sales department with sales rep Laura. She was very easy to work with, straight forward and friendly. We worked out numbers online through a couple enter actions over 2 days. She was able to work out a price that I wanted before I stepped foot in the door, making record time in and out of there with the car- 2 hours in and out including car prep and setup stuff. I'm definitely recommending anyone here. There might be other good Toyota dealerships and sales reps. But my experience here is definitely top tier. Hopefully you get the same. let me start off by saying ive never had this type of experience happen to me buying a new car. i bout my car from luis whos no longer there. same day i drove my car home i had to call the dealership to let them know my car was having issues . called and they advise i take it into services the next day. once i took the car to services a service provider came out and said its your drive train mind you just bout the car less then 24 hours. dropped the car off to only get a call that said oh no it was just your transmission fluid low red flag. i never was able to speak to the previous service provider who mentioned my drive train. i had to speak to a sales manager by the name of steve who did absolutely nothing to help me. they avoided me avoided my calls and voicemailes and basically made me deal with a car with issues day once since i had it. i took my car to a different dealership and asked them to see whats wrong with my vehicle to be told my transmission is going out. do not buy from them read more

Hasid was the Sales Agent who we were in touch with although when you email him, the sales manager, Jim also replies sometimes when Hamid was not working. Still in inventory shortage, there was no negotiation but rather a markup over msrp still. Also this car is in high demand so... it is what it is! Pretty straight forward here. The owner responded one cannot see the grease. That is absurd. The tech never opened it or mentioned the part was broken. Consequently I think they broke it and were trying to hide it. I want to make it very clear that this review is directed at Jim Benham, and no one else at the dealership. My family purchased a used Toyota from Nissan last year from this dealership and since we had such a positive experience, we visited again to look at a new Toyota Crown. We were referred to a specific salesperson - Giancarlo. Unfortunately he was out of the office so his boss Jim contacted me. Jim called to tell me that the car was in and that I welcome to come down and test drive it "if it's still here". As soon as I got off work we headed down and asked for Jim. He was with a client so his sister Anne came to assist us. She informed us the car I was looking at just came in and she didn't know if it had gone through inspection and she didn't know if we could test drive it before inspection. I explained to her that my mom commuted from Tracy to bring me to test drive and purchase this vehicle. Anne went to check on the car and came back with the car for me to test drive. Afterwards I asked Anne to run some numbers so I can see what my payment would be. At this point Jim shows up, introduces himself, and starts rambling about how much the car is ($50k+) and asking the typical salesperson questions. He wouldn't pause long enough to let me answer. He tells me if I put down $23,000 my payments would still be almost $1,000 a month, at which point we are trying to figure out how that's possible. Then he proceeds to tell me that people that only want to put $1000 down always walk out without a car. And that his wife is in real-estate and how he wants to live in Lafayette but he settled for concord because that's all he could afford, so I needed to be okay with settling too. He told me he had other nice cars in my price range, such as a Toyota Prius or Camry and I needed to settle for something else as he felt that I couldn't afford this car. At this point I'm irritated and no longer interested. He hadn't run my credit, didn't know what I could afford, and clearly didn't know what he was talking about. He kept saying that his wife always says he doesn't listen and it's a problem, so clearly he has a problem listening to women and has no business financially shaming me without knowing my financial situation. Finally this guy walked away and his sister Anne was trying to do damage control showing me other cars Jim felt were in my price range. I was not interested in anything else, and I was just trying to be polite since this wasn't her fault, and then we left. Jim is way too comfortable in his position and being able to talk to people the way he does. I'm assuming because the car was brand new so he thought he could scam someone else into paying way more than they should. But obviously it's worth the inconvenience of traveling farther away to get the vehicle I want from a dealership and salesperson who isn't trying to scam and belittle their customers. read more

Service department frickin rocks. Excuse my enthusiasm but I'm happy as all get out. My 16 Tacoma had a recall at 100000 miles. Just broke in for a Toyota, got a new running gear warranty. Dang, service and parts rock. Sales? Ana is a super ambassador, first smile you see. Then, service mgrs are rock stars. Kevien was true to his word , got the job done early and under budget.
