Worst customer service response ever. Here's HYUNDAI customer service future: Some of the interior paneling in the storage area of our 2023 Santa Fe phev is cracking. It's still under warranty. The dealer told me my only recourse was to deal with Hyundai directly to get approval for the repair under warranty otherwise they could not help me! Contacted HYUNDAI directly they said don't get involved in issues between dealers and customers and told me I had to resolve the issue with the dealer. Both are insisting the other is responsible pretty much telling me I'm screwed. Leaving me in the twilight zone. How do I resolve that if both the dealer and Hyundai insist the other party is responsible for solving my issue? What kind of service is that ? This is my brand new TO ME 2023 Hyundai Sonata and if it wasn't for Dante answering my call n showing me every car within my budget and closing costs so I wouldn't be surprised when I arrived. I absolutely love my ionic five Hyundai. It's the first time I've owned EV vehicle. I'm writing this because I'm very disappointed in the after sale process. The features of the car were not gone over with me in any sort of way. It comes with many high performance features that I do not know how to use. The manual is cumbersome and YouTube has not been very helpful. I called to make an appointment to be shown how the vehicle can be used but got no response. I would highly recommend you make sure they will spend 30 minutes with you after you've bought the car so you leave knowing how everything works. read more

I started by contacting COSTCO. When I arrived they were courteous and respectful. They gave me a fair price for my trade in. The whole transaction was pretty smooth. Dante Green was the sales rep and was most helpful. He spent the better part of an hour with me in the car explaining all the bells and whistles. He offered me a second delivery and I took him up on that. My recommendation is check with COSTCO and then go see Dante Green. read more

Dishonest, lying, deceitful business. I was reluctant to go there due to an unsatisfactory experience 11 yrs earlier at All Star Ford. I thought maybe since so much time had passed, All Star Hyundai would be better. I was sorely, (and expensively), mistaken. I selected the car I was interested in from their online advertising. When the car was brought out, I noticed it had a significantly higher price sticker than the website price. The salesman assured me the website price was correct. After I test drove and decided to purchase, we sat down for paperwork, and during this time the lying and cheating began. I noticed an "optional" Stargard service had been added to the price and questioned the salesman about it. He stated it was the GPS Navigation system and would also locate the car if it was stolen. I place Apple Airtags in my vehicles, so do not need additional tracking and told the salesman I did not want this option. He told me it had already been installed on the car and couldn't be removed. After I bought the. Car, I discovered it could have easily been removed in a matter of minutes. I also saw something optional called NDS and questioned it. I was told it was part of the theft deterrent, but no real explanation of what it was. Again I was told it was already done, so I would have to accept it. After i got home, I found out it was some type of etching of the VIN number....something else I did not need or want. When I got to the finance department, the lying and deception only got worse. During this time, I saw there was an "optional" catalytic convertor etching applied. I said I did not want this either. The finance person outright lied and told me it was a California State Law that all new vehicles are required to purchase catalytic etching. I later found out this was not true. They advertise a military discount. When I requested it, they tried desperately to deny it to me. I showed them my ID.Me VA verification card. They didn't want to believe that, and said they needed my actual discharge papers.......48 yrs after I was discharged! Who carries those around with them when car shopping? I opened the ID.Me website on my phone and showed them it verified my military status online. Very reluctantly, they honored it and gave me the discount. The next thing I noticed is that even though i was giving a substantial down payment plus a trade-in, the monthly payments were extremely high. I asked what the finance rate was. My FICO scores are all ABOVE 800....yet the finance rate was a whopping 13.99%! I balked at this, and they cut it in half to 6.99, but I should have pushed for an even lower rate. I discovered the final proof of deceitfulness and what crooks they are after i got home and was able to fully scrutinize the paperwork. As I mentioned before, "optional" products were installed/charged for without my having requested any of them and despite me repeatedly saying I didn't want them. One was the Stargard Anti theft system. The charge for this service was $1995. When reading the paperwork at home, I found it is guaranteed that if it fails to "assist" police in recovering the vehicle within 30 days, the FULL AMOUNT of the purchase price, ($1295), is refunded. If the service costs $1295, why the hell is the dealership charging $1995? Furthermore, although it utilizes GPS, it is not the navigation system of the car and is not required for GPS service, although the salesman described it as such. As if that wasn't bad enough, the final discovery really blew the ship right out of the water. Going through the vehicle manuals at home, I found there is a service called BlueLink that comes standard on the car, free of charge. The system was never mentioned to me by the salesman. Not even when he was extolling the features of the car did he ever mention the word BlueLink or what it does. The reason they don't mention it is because among other functions, it is also an anti theft, car location system that assists law enforcement in locating and recovering your vehicle if it is stolen. In other words, the EXACT SAME type of service the dealership is adding for an inflated price of $1995 is already a feature provided by the manufacturer at NO ADDITIONAL COST. On top of that, the free BlueLink service can immobilize the vehicle...something the $2000 service lacks. Can a dealership be any more deceitful and dishonest than that?....I don't think so. All Star Hyundai is the epitome of why people don't trust car dealerships and feel they are all crooks. I advise everyone to go elsewhere if you are thinking of a new vehicle purchase. If you feel you have no choice but to go to All Star Hyundai, by all means, do not let them sell you the $2000 Stargard system...you already get the same type of service for free as a standard feature on the car. Why can't I give this place a 0??? Really super long story short... I came into Hyundai for a simple oil change and diagnostic. I explained to them there was a sound going on anytime I turned (VERY obvious sound). They promised me they'd give me a Lyft ride home and that the service will take 2 hours. They told me to wait 5-10 mins for my ride. After 1 hour and 15 minutes, I asked them how much longer. Then they lied by saying they're waiting for approval. The manager, MARCO, walked in being unaware of the situation. Then they proceeded to actually book me a Lyft which took another several minutes. After I got home, I waited 7 hours for my car. When I picked up my car, they told me they couldn't find anything wrong with my car... they rushed me out and got me good to go. Well... it only took about 30 seconds for me to drive away and see low tire pressure in my car. Immediately I turned around onto the property and told them. Josh told me not to worry and that he's pump some air. He told me the sensor was wrong and that it was the wrong tire. After he pumped air, he told me he's not sure why that happened and that there is a good chance it's going to be flat. I told them that if that's the case, I don't want any surprises and you guys will have to fix it. They said absolutely I will be 0 charged. I drove home, not far. The next morning I turned my car on and the pressure dropped instantly. Immediately I drove the car to the dealership AGAIN, when by that point it was completely flat. They told me they'd "DO ME A FAVOR" By taking a look after 2 hours. I told the I have many appts that I can't miss and why should I wait if it's their fault. They literally GAVE ME A FLAT TIRE. I was already upset but stayed regulated. Had my boyfriend come inside and allll of a sudden, they could take a look in 20 minutes. SEXIST. They told me that my tire is flat, and that the nail is on the part of the tire that would require a tire replacement. At this point I was upset. They proceeded to tell me that they would "help me out" by taking care of the installation as long as I pay for the tire and everything else. SO ridiculous. They tried to BLAME ME for THEM giving me a flat tire. Getting me to pay for THEIR mistake. It got worse. They told me that they're working the best they can and that I need to compromise.... Lmfao. They took a LOT of pictures of the tire, sent them to the manager, MARCO, who proceeded to quickly tell them that they can just simply patch it. The tried to rush me away. I told them (this is true) this is ILLEGAL to patch, it's unsafe and needs to be replaced. They tried to say that it was safe and that there wouldn't be any problems. After my boyfriend confronted them, all of a sudden "the manager didn't see the pictures yet". They got on the phone with Marco and when h heard me ask if I could talk to him, HE HUNG UP ON HIS OWN EMPLOYEES. I tried calling and he became a ghost. The excuse of not having any managers on call was that he's "spending more important time with family" and no one else was available to be an interim manager. Several hours and a long long story later, they bought a new tire. My car was there for several days, and they denied to give me a courtesy vehicle. I was stuck without a car. When picking up my car, my father asked to talk to the manager, for whom he rejected to talk to because he was too busy: "can't you see I have stuff to do? I don't want to talk to you!". Unprofessional, unacceptable, rude, lying, illegal-actioned people. Marco needs to be fired and things need to seriously change if this place doesn't want to be shut down. Service team is awful. Made an appointment for friday for a recall and the lady in the front told me i could pick it up the next day at 10am. I get there give my name and the other lady says its not even in the system and my car was last here in 2023, even though i just dropped it off the night before. She then tells me they cant fix it for another 3 days and to come back because " its not a safety issue ". Im sure if it was her car that was so susceptible to break ins she wouldnt think it was no big deal. No offer to make things right either just a can you bring it back another day. Yeah right. Ridiculous business practice. I'm debating whether I need to call a lawyer for selling us a new vehicle with defects. We had brought car in after buying 3 times now. This place is approximately 50 miles from us. The first time was scheduled so they can "detail" it and so happen their guy was not there. No calls for that trip. Second was scheduled so that they can take a pictures of the cars issues and replace the issues and defects. Then third time was scheduled because the parts were there and they were going to fix the issues. The parts weren't there and they had to take more pictures so they can submit the claim. With no ETA on when parts were to come. We bought the car late October and it's now 2 months and we just got in contact with their service manager where we were told that we have to come in so they can take pictures and submit a claim. read more

While our salesperson was extremely kind and helpful, the experience was completely ruined by the behavior of the finance person. He could be heard in the background making rude comments and flailing his arms around just because we knew what we were comfortable spending. WRONG DIAGNOSIS and WRONG REPAIR 01/23/2025, I brought my Hyundai Santa Fe to All Star Hyundai. My car had the engine light on. I was asked to pay $225.00 for diagnosis. Service advisor Juan reported technician proceeded with adjustment and reset to clear the engine light. I also asked Juan to replace the transmission fluid for my Hyundai Santa Fe. I paid a total of $493.24 for diagnosis and transmission fluid replacement. After the car was serviced by All Star Hyundai, I noticed some liquid leaking on my garage floor. I thought that was normal due to some residue left over from the under car cover from the transmission fluid replacement. After 3 weeks, I still saw liquid leaking on the floor. 02/20/2025, I called and brought my Hyundai Santa Fe back to All Star Hyundai. 02/21/2025, the service advisor Juan reported Hyundai technician identified three leaking's: 1/ The engine valve cover gasket needs to be replaced to fix the engine oil leaking. 2/ Both radiator hoses need to be replaced to fix the radiator coolant liquid leaking. 3/ The windshield reservoir bottle was cracked and needed to be replaced to fix the windshield wiper liquid leaking. Before my Hyundai Santa Fe was serviced at All Star Hyundai on Jan 23, 2025, I did not see any leaking from my car. I mentioned this to the service advisor Juan, he denied Hyundai technician touching my car engine even though they replaced the transmission fluid. Later on, I called the service advisor Juan and asked for an update. Mr. Juan said the radiator coolant liquid was leaking coming from the thermostat housing of the radiator. Mr. Juan said the thermostat housing needs to be replaced instead of the two radiator hoses. The service advisor Juan quoted $1938 to replace these below items: 1/ The engine valve cover gasket 2/ The thermostat housing of the radiator. 3/ The windshield reservoir bottle 02/27/25, the service advisor Juan reported all leaks had been fixed and no more leaking. In the afternoon, I came to pick up my Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2015. I noticed some liquid still dripping from my car. A Hyundai technician showed up and checked. He found the leaking actually coming from the windshield wiper pump. Hyundai technician also checked and found no crack and no leak from my old windshield reservoir bottle. I mentioned this wrong diagnosis and wrong repair to service manager Marco who adjusted the cost of the part and labor. On the Feb 28, 2025, I paid $1463.08 to replace these below items: 1/ The engine valve cover gasket 2/ The thermostat housing of the radiator. 3/ The windshield reservoir pump. In the afternoon of 02/28/2025, I picked up my Hyundai Santa Fe. On the way home, I heard a strange noise from the engine. As soon as I got my car into the garage, I saw liquid leaking from the floor. I took the video, called service manager Marco and drove my car back to All Star Hyundai. In the late afternoon of 03/03/2025. service manager Marco mentioned his master technician found: 1/ Two coolant leaks are from the water pump and two throttle body hoses. 2/ One Oil leak is from the oil control valve. On the next day 03/04/2025, service manager Marco asked me to pay $2,219.45 to repair the leaking as he mentioned above. I mentioned to service manager Marco that All Star Hyundai gave me the wrong diagnosis and wrong repair. More than that, they damaged my car engine. I expected All Star Hyundai in Pittsburg fixed those leaking at no cost to me. Service manager Marco reduced the repair price to $1396.51. After 12 days, I already paid $1463.08 after I paid $493.24 for diagnosis and transmission fluid replacement and my car was still leaking and All Star Hyundai asked me to pay $1396.51 more to fix. On the same day, I took my car home to check with a local technician. Local technician only found leaking from hoses which connected to the thermostat housing of the radiator which was replaced by All Star Hyundai. There is nothing wrong with the water pump or oil control valve. I paid the local technician to reconnect those hoses. There is no leaking from that day until now. read more

The service desk cost me an hour of my time and forced me to hire rides. Their simple oversight will also require me to make a separate trip back to the dealer. I dropped my car off today for recall repairs. Since I could not get back from work before the service office closed at 5:45 PM, they said they would leave the keys with the sales office. The sales office is open until 8:00 PM and I arrived at 7:00 PM. The sales manager said nobody left my car keys with him even though the sales clerk said he would. This same sales manager said nobody notified him that I would arrive after hours to pick up my car. Because the sales clerk did not walk my car keys over to the sales office and did not inform the sales manager I would pick up my car after hours, I had to hire Uber ride home. After I got my spare car key, I hired another ride back to get my car. That cost me an hour of my time and 2 rides. Since my car key is still at the service desk, I have to return to the dealer when the service desk opens on Monday to get my key. That is another imposition on me. All somebody had to do was walk my car key over to the sales desk and tell somebody I would pick up my car after 5:45 PM. Because of that simple oversight, they imposed on my time today and will again on Monday. They also imposed a financial cost on me because I had to hire Uber. All Star Hyundai is only getting a 1-star rating from me. What will All Star Hyundai to make up for the way they imposed on my time and my money? read more

I hope this finds the owner and manager of this dealer... My mother in-laws Hyundai Elantra needed a heater core hose that was leaking causing overheating diagnosed by Firestone and referred to a dealership repair because of the parts needed. I called Hyundai service department explained the situation and dropped off the car for a diagnostic for 250 dollars. At the end of the day it was reported back that the technician diagnosed an engine replacement needed!!! I am not a mechanic but the car ran fine no check engine light ever came on, smoke, engine noise, or lack of power and last but not least the engine oil was clean. We declined the work and brought it to another local mechanic shop nearby for a second opinion regarding the engine replacement. The shops diagnostic found no engine replacement was needed after leak tests and compression tests. They found some hose clamps and hoses that weren't secured also a small hose that needed replacement near the front of the radiator that I also mentioned to the service advisor that they claimed couldn't identify. Total cost for the work was 450 dollars and the car is running fine no issues no overheating. The car also passed a smog check without any issues with the same engine working fine as of today. read more

It was very minor. To have an appt & my car sits there (not counting the holiday) and NOT to get to run a diagnostic for that long is really unacceptable! AND FOR THE PRICE! The service at All-Star Hyundai is absolutely horrendous, and it's clear they have no understanding of basic customer service or how to run a successful automotive business. We took our brand new 2024 Santa Fe in for service because the second-row passenger captain's chairs weren't dissipating heat. The vehicle sat there for three days, and during that entire time, we never received any updates or phone calls. When we reached out, all we were told was that the vehicle was "being worked on." To our shock, when we visited unannounced, we discovered our car was simply parked in the lot, despite being told it was actively being serviced--pure dishonesty. To make matters worse, when we picked up the vehicle and drove it the very next day, the battery was completely dead. We had to call AAA to have it towed to a different Hyundai dealership. Vallejo Hyundai quickly identified the problem--All-Star Hyundai had failed to reconnect wiring for the second-row seats, and worse, they had left a dome light on, draining the battery. The lack of competence, honesty, and basic care at All-Star Hyundai is appalling, and we will never return. After the exceptional service at Vallejo Hyundai, it's clear where the real professionals are, and it certainly isn't at All-Star Hyundai. read more

I originally bought a Hybrid Sonata from Enterprise in Walnut creek cause I liked the USB charger and it got better gas mileage and started taking it to All Star Hyundai to have it serviced for minor things and the staff at the service dept. were always so helpful, as time went on I kept my 2013 till 2024 as I was a little leary about something going wrong major ( like the ev battery ) and wanted something bigger to haul things around easier so I bought the 2022 Santa fe , not as much power but other than that it's does the job. This review is for their service department. I really like my vehicle, but the service department here is terrible. Anything more than a basic oil change is a pain here. I brought my car in with a nail in the tire. I told them, and they said they'd fix it for no charge. Awesome, right? Turns out they just aired it up and rotated it. A week later, I had a flat again. Then, I asked for a quote for a cracked headlight lens. They said they would call me with the estimate. The call never came. Most recently, I took it in for a bunch of error messages on my dash and a fuel door that wouldn't open. They said they couldn't find an issue with the fuel door. Although they cleared the error messages, now my navigation doesn't work. Oh, and I tried the fuel door in front of the service advisor, and it wouldn't open. He said he'd call when the part comes in. No call so far. I'm actually considering selling my car just so I won't have to deal with this service department. Honesty my car shopping experience started out fine. The internet sales manager was nice and I got to test drive the vehicle. When we started talking about numbers that's when it turned bad. I saw on their site a lease deal for the 2021 Kona SUV SEL model for $189 a month and that's EXACTLY the car I test drove and wanted to lease. I have great credit so no worries there, I've been leasing cars for over 10yrs now. Why was it bad? They didn't honor their ad, so why put it there!?!? The ad said 2021 Kona SUV SEL and that's the EXACT car!! The sales manager just kept to asking me to put more money down or pay more monthly but I'm wondering why aren't they honoring the ad. She wanted me to pay more for the stupid car. This subcompact suv is worth $22k at most, she told me the total cost is $33k! Do you think I'm stupid? For a subcompact suv? I paid $33k for my Honda Pilot. In the end they didn't get me solid figures and just keep on trying to convince me to pay more monthly or with a larger down payment and I said no to both because I'm confused on why they couldn't get me the deal on their WEBSITE! They took my finance paperwork and said they would try to work something out. I didn't want them to run my credit before I committed to a price so I told them forget it and walked out, taking my finance paperwork with me. From looking at my long list of reviews, I've bought and sold more cars then I can count. This dealership it definitely one of those where I will NOT return to nor recommend to anyone. They get you in with their good deals on their ads/website and blatantly lie to you and don't honor the promotion/deal! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!! No thanks, I'll go get me a Lexus for $33k! read more

I bought a 2025 Hyundai Ionic l 5 So far I am pleased with the vehicle. However I am disappointed in how the company manages its offer of 'free charger' or a charging credit of $400. I opted for the charger since I plan to install a level 2 charger . I expected to receive a charger . The salesman , Eric sent me a link to claim the charger and that is when I found out I must use a Hyundai vender for installation . The estimate was twice as much as the estimated cost local electricians gave me. It costs me less to purchase the charger and have it installed myself than to have Hyundai install my free charger! I have left emails with the sales manager and my salesman along with corporate customer service requesting to change to the. $400 credit since I did not have all the information needed to make a cost effective choice. . There has been no response . I feel it was misrepresented and gave impression that we receive a free charger in reality Hyundai makes a nice profit in the installation . read more
