Stopped here on the way out of town on a holiday weekend and so enjoyed the service, drinks and relaxing view. The restaurant was empty since it had just opened around noon, and we got to choose where we'd like to sit. We chose a very relaxing table overlooking the beautiful driving range, golf course and wonderfully landscaped oasis. Delish Bloody Mary's topped with just enough snacks. Professional service with staff coming from all over the world for the summer season. This place has a country club feel, which you would expect at a golf course, but it's not super fancy. Menu has something for everyone and focuses on Midwest favorites like steaks and seafood. Nice choices for wines. Everything was done in a prompt and friendly way with high quality. We stopped in for lunch and we're seated immediately. Very efficient service. Placed order and got our food quickly. Sooooo disappointed when the food arrived. Had to send my salad back as the greens were brown. The waitress commented that's the best they get! Moms burger was dry and nearly black highlights were the fries and the delicious onion rings. Review, Antler's Restaurant, Whitehill Golf Course, Breezy Point, MN - August 10, 2024 To say we were disappointed does not begin to cover our experience. My husband and I had a 6:00PM dinner reservation, which I made on Open Table, and of which I got confirmation. We were staying at Breezy Point Resort, and wanted a lovely, fancy dinner for our last night at the resort. We arrived a couple of minutes after 6. We were greeted immediately at the host stand when we went in. They found my reservation and seated us right away, at a 2-top. Water was already waiting for us at the table. I was hopeful. We glanced at the menu, but set it aside, wanting to order a drink and enjoy it leisurely before ordering dinner. We chatted, drinking our water, and commenting about the other 4-top and another couple who had already been seated and were working on salads and appetizers. After about 10-12 minutes, we observed a party of four being seated to our right. We glanced at each other and said, "well, we'll see what happens." Shortly thereafter, a server came to the new party of 4's table and took drink orders, and told them the specials. "OK," we thought, "maybe that's not our server. Our server should be right along." A few more minutes go by. We are out of water now. No one has approached us. We discuss potentially leaving if 20 minutes go by. Next, we observe a party of 4 being seated just behind us, at the window. "OK," we said; "we'll see what happens with this party." Lo and behold, a different server came to their table to wait on them, take drink orders, and so on. 20 minutes PLUS had now gone by. We got up to leave. My husband walked outside; I wanted to talk to someone. I went to the host stand, and asked for the manager. I was told there was no manager; all the restaurants were connected and there was no manager per se. One worker asked if I wanted to talk to a server; I said no, I wanted to talk to the person in charge. She said, I'll get him. I waited several minutes. Then, someone from the back came out front, who was evidently in charge. He and I talked. His name was David. I explained what had happened. I asked him which server was responsible for our table tonight...he didn't know. I asked him what their process was, for covering various sections of the restaurant; he didn't know. He looked around and said, "I don't know how you waited for 20 minutes, when we aren't even busy." I said, "I know!" He said, "Do you want to talk to the server who was supposed to be at your table?" And I said, "that's not my issue, that's yours." I asked, "Is there anything you can do?" He said, "I don't know." Bottom line, he was not able to explain what went wrong, was not in the know about which server was working which sections, and was not in a position to offer me anything. I mean, a good manager would say, "oh, I'm sorry, come back and sit down, how can we make it up to you?" Nothing. Moral of the story: Beware. Beware. Beware. Think twice about going here, and then think again. read more

My husband and I were very pleased with our our first experience with Antlers last Thursday night. It was just beautiful out on the patio as we watched the golfers finish their day. Server Whitney even made sure we had a white table cloth on our patio table. We enjoyed cocktails and appetizers. We then moved inside and enjoyed a lovely dinner. We were so impressed that we brought our cabin guests over the next night to celebrate our 27th Wedding Anniversary-they also appreciate quality food and service. You did not disappoint us. This was quite possibly the worst food I've ever experienced in breezy point! What happened to this place? The filet mignon was like a horrible cut of loose meat. The lobster was mush, ishhhhh. The baked potato was cold the martini was warm ! What a horrible experience. I mean horrible! It was like a no name steak and a mushy gross lobster gross! For 100 bucks I wish I chose elsewhere! The mushroom soup is phenomenal here!! A nice place with great seafood and a bright atmosphere. A bit higher priced but if your looking for a nice restaurant to go out to this is a great place for that!! Their Caesar salad with some added salmon to it is a great basic dish to go for! read more

Started dinner with an appetizer of bruschetta, very flavorful thick bread, my favorite! Dinner was absolutely devine. Saltimbocca for me, lobster for the spouse and cheese cake for dessert. We made a reservation. Honestly, I can't speak to the food- we didn't stick around long enough to find out. Our 7:30 reservation was in their book, and that was all they got right. There were 5 of us- the hostess asked if we could just scoot up an extra chair to a 4-top. Not wanting to be difficult, we said sure. Ten minutes after sitting down, the hostess came to inform us that we wouldn't be getting served for another ten minutes because they were "backed up". We waited about 25 minutes before deciding to go elsewhere, as our server had informed us that she wouldn't be with us for a bit still. She proceeded to place other orders, get checks ready, and chat with the hostess a bunch behind the bar. I tried to get their attention to let them know we were leaving, but both of them avoided eye contact. The only sensible person I encountered was the 17-year old staff who was kind enough to bring drinks out for the kids. Speaking of kids, they didn't have their kids menu ready because their printer was broken, and the hostess told us she assumed our server would just inform us. COVID wise: no sanitizing of menus, tables positioned too closely together, hostess wore her mask under her nose most of the time. Overall, do not waste your time. read more

Service was GREAT! Jessica and our busboy were rock stars. The food however was just OK. Two years ago portions were bigger and the sides far better than the Brussel sprouts and au gratin potato's served New Year eve. Frozen hash browns in a bowl mixed with cheese and a broiled cheese topping were horrible. My filet mignon was overdone, somewhat dry and cooler than I and most others would like. I'm not a send it back person, especially when seated with others. The meals came out two at a time, so there was a delay for some reason and the other meals, a shrimp entrée and a chicken & rib combo were also mediocre. The chicken looked boiled and our friend barely touched it (texture & taste issues). The scallops my wife ordered were fine, although served in a bowl swimming in some kind of sauce was new for her and she's a big scallop fan. Used to be a great place to go, but given the high prices, smaller portions and the just fair food we'll venture elsewhere for a supper club or upscale restaurant experience. Chicken and tortellini in white sauce was well done. Hungarian beef soup was very good. Tomato base and a nice amount of solids to liquid. Bread pudding we did not care for. We like bread pudding. The sauce was good. The bread had a nice cinnamon flavor but it was too dry. Maybe it should have soaked longer. Not sure but it was a two star dessert Came again and had the pork medallions with Hungarian mushroom soup and garlic mashed potatoes Very nice cream sauce has honey and Dijon mustard with the pork Vegetables were perfectly done. Steamed warn but crisp. Italian rum cake would be worth the trip at 6 dollars. Just a hint of rum and very light with creamy frosting. The service has always been good. We went here for our special dinner our first night at Breezy Point resort. I had Steak and my husband had ribs and chicken. My steak was cooked the way I liked it. However, I was given a cold baked potato. The sweet waitress brought me another one, not warm enough to melt the room temperature butter. Finally, I got au gratin, fresh from the oven and hot, although not what I ordered. My husband's meal was middle of the road. Nothing spectacular about it. I only ate here because I got a $50 voucher from attending a stupid timeshare thing. Very expensive for some mediocre food at best. Go eat off the resort, like at Pequot Lakes. I ordered the tuna. It was very cold and there was only 5 strips that was barely enough for a mouth full. It was tasteless. The eel sauce that came with it was also tasteless and very sticky. It came with barely a mouth full of spinach. Do not order the tuna. I also ordered some appetizers, but the waitress forgot it so we never got to sample it. I did like their bread though. It was very tasty and moist. My water was never refilled, but the wife insisted we leave a nice tip, which we did, but I told her I will Yelp about this place. If it wasn't for the $50 voucher, my bill would have been $100+ with tip. Not worth it if you don't have a voucher. Beer is also expensive. $5.50 for tap beer is ridiculous. read more

We are regulars at Antlers during a four month Summer stint every year. When we showed up late last week we were mostly disappointed in the food because the restaurant had been slammed and they were running out of food. But we commented and the Chef came out, sent more food our way and made us happy. Fast forward to tonight, we knew we needed to give them a try again and WOW. On the classy side compared to most of the area options. That being said the things I like most on the menu are the simplest. Great burger, amazing Hungarian mushroom soup, and appetizers. I never feel underdressed coming here and order these options in the quite bar area rather than fighting for a seat in one of the packed area bars. Was there for dinner last evening with my wife and daughter. Had the salmon Oscar and it was the most unappetizing presentation I had ever had. The sauce looked like something a baby had spit up, with no color contrast. My wife's walleye Oscar had the same awful looking sauce on it. The sauce tasted fine, once you got past the appearance, and the salmon was cooked properly. The veggies were not cooked, almost raw.The augratin potatoes were slightly over cooked and lacked salt and pepper. My daughter's wild rice dish was not seasoned at all. My fiancée and I were here back in mid-July. I think it is safe to say it is the best meal I have ever had. We had tuna tartar for an appetizer and Hungarian mushroom soup to start off the meal. Words cannot describe how delicious both of those items were. My fiancée had the filet mignon for his meal and I had the seafood platter and both of those were delicious as well. This is a really good restaurant and their Maitre'd works very hard to make sure you're happy! The martini's are excellent and I couldn't find a better tuna tartar appetizer within 300 miles. If you're tired of burgers and beer, try this lovely restaurant over looking the golf course. read more

I have been going to Antlers for 4 years in the summer. I was there this past weekend and I probably won't be back. First I miss Don the maitre D. He was always pleasant and came to every table to if you where enjoying your meal I always have gotten the walleye but this time is was prepared awful. We celebrated a special event by going to Antlers Restaurant near Breezy Point, MN. Early in the day, I left a message requesting a reservation and Deb, the restaurant manager, called within a short period of time. I explained we were celebrating a special event and she was very accommodating. She said regardless if we had 2 or 6 people she was going to reserve a great table by the window overlooking the arch bridge and golf course. True to her word, we got exactly that table. She started our experience with great hospitality on the phone and then warmly greeted us as we arrived. Our evening then evening continued on a high note. Our server Tammy then lead us through a wine sampler and aided us with great dinner and appetizer suggestions and regularly checked back with us for anything we needed. BTW....best mushroom soup I have ever had and our Salmon and fresh vegetables were done perfectly. Then the manager and Tammy surprised us with a great double chocolate tort...yum!!! The lodge setting, the dinner and our service could not have been nicer. I recommend this place if you are in the Brainerd Lakes area. We will be back. WidgeonOne read more
