When I drive across the San Mateo bridge I make it a point to stop for a sweet treat! I walked around downtown and stumbled upon Antoine's! The inside is small but you're there to get straight to the point. What cookies do you want, grab your box and go! I like how simple the box / packaging is. The cookies are great and a good stop when you're walking around! I like to pair mine with ice cream around the corner! ONLY thing is I wish they came across the San Mateo bridge into Hayward / Union city / Fremont area!

Dangerously good--this place easily lives up to the hype. Every cookie hits that perfect balance: not overly sweet, incredibly soft with just the right chew, and layered with flavor that keeps you reaching for another. You can tell they're made fresh with attention to detail. The shop itself is super cute and inviting, and the staff adds to the experience--friendly, efficient, and happy to help if you're deciding between flavors. Love that they box everything up nicely too, which makes it great for sharing...or not. Fair warning: self-control goes out the window here. One cookie is not enough--you'll convince yourself you're "just trying a few" and somehow walk out with a dozen (plus one for the car). A dangerously addictive spot I'd 100% come back to.

This is my favorite cookie shop. The cookies are chewy and about the size of my palm (glove size small/medium LOL). My current favorite flavors are cookies & cream and toffee. This shop reminds me a lot of Anthony's cookies in SF.

Antonie's Cookie Shop never disappoints! My go-to is the Cookies & Cream cookie, and it's packed with Oreo flavor in every bite. The cookie is perfectly soft, rich, and loaded with cookie pieces without being overly sweet. If you're an Oreo lover, this one is an absolute must-try. Easily one of the best cookies I've had, and it's the reason I keep coming back.

Soft and delicious cookies. Also way cheaper then crumble and taste way more delicious

Toffee: crunchy outside of the cookie with toffee bits Dark chocolate: soft texture all around with dark chocolate The cookies are on display to view the selection. There were samples available of one of cookie. Service was quick. These cookies are not sweet, fairly priced around $2.00 each and a light midday pick me up.

The honeycomb cookie is my favorite cookie from Antoine's. It is perfectly soft and chewy, and is amazing when eaten warm. They even have a little oven in the shop that you can use to warm your cookie. The shop is conveniently located in downtown San Mateo among tons of restaurants, making it a great place to grab some dessert after a meal.

Stumbled upon this cookie shop while exploring downtown and I couldn't resist grabbing some to go! The Honeycomb and Toffee were both delicious, but I'd have to go with the toffee as my favorite! The pricing is very fair at $2.75 a piece. It's a tiny shop but we got the only bench inside for our kids to enjoy their cookies & cream cookie. I love that they also offer day old bags for purchase, and there's even a microwave if you just can't wait to enjoy them!

While texting with a friend while eating my bowl of soba, this business came up in the conversation. After finishing my meal, I waited for my takeout order and told one of the waiters outside that I would be right back. Walking about a block and a half, I found this shop on 2nd St on a familiar block where I tried a then new ramen place. I studied the window menu before walking in to get a few cookies for myself and one for a friend. I for St tried the 66% dark chocolate cookie (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=RMi41eymtttQISpvTP9_Vw) when I got home. I enjoyed the dough and that the chocolate was less sweet. The next day, I tried the semi-sweet macadamia (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=Uu_1E48RfEBUeodlUdObKQ); though slightly sweeter (chocolate) I enjoyed that the macadamia nuts were still crunchy and fresh tasting. I finished my last cookie, the snickerdoodle (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=_EEphcbyzU9UFLBDisNEOQ), the next day. Smooth and buttery with the hint of cinnamon, this, being my favorite non-chocolate cookie flavor, is a solid version. The gal who took my order and packed them as requested was cordial and nice. I enjoyed these and will stop by the next time I dine in the area.

I stopped by on a weekday afternoon. There was a good crowd in the store. I went for 3 cookies. Peanut butter cup was my favorite. 66% dark chocolate chip cookie and cookies n cream were also good flavors.

Love this cookie shop! We typically stop by when we're in the area and it never disappoints. These cookies are not too sweet or too chewy or too crunchy. They are PERFECT. I usually just order the milk chocolate and semi sweet cookies and both are equally my favorite. I have yet to try the rest but I'm sure they're just as good!

Antoine's continues to be my tried and true! I just ordered about 100 cookies from them for a corporate event and it was staged and ready to go for a quick pick up! The cookies were so fresh and just about everyone complimented them at the party! It was super easy to do the order online too even though I called first just in case, because the quantity.

Love coming here! The cookies all taste so good and really appreciate they have a nut free allergy process separating tongs and boxes. My favorites are the cookies and cream, toffee, honey comb, and white Mac nut! The kids always love the snickerdoodle, chocolate chip, and cookies and cream. Cookies are a good size People are always so friendly here! Center of downtown San Mateo for a nice walk or to pick up some cookies after a meal. They also provide you a way to heat up your cookies!

Are these like cookie crumble? Update thank you for replies. FYI I can't stand crumble.

Hell No! Antoines cooks their cookies. I don't like Crumble

Hi could I order a large quantity of individually wrapped cookies (100) for pick up on a Thurs afternoon to serve at my Carmel Valley wedding three days later? How far in advance do I need to order and any special notes on storing cookies for 3 days?

Order one day in advance online We will charge you .25 per wrapped cookie…

How to order a baker's dozen with discount online? Thanks!

    Coupon code DOZEN

How big are the cookies (diameter)?

    3.5-4 inches

Is there an option for individually wrapping each cookie if a dozen or more are ordered?

Yes you can ask for that in store or online in the notes section of your order. Thanks for asking!

Do you have suggestion how to keep these cookies fresh for about a week? Is it better to store them in a fridge or pantry?

You can freeze them. That will retain the flavor but not the texture.

Are day old cookies being sold again?

yes, they were selling day old cookies in bags by the counter when i went (september 2021)

Do you offer any vegan cookies 🍪?

    Unfortunately we do not

Do you offer the option to buy cookie batter to bake cookies at home?

That’s a great idea. Maybe in the future!

Where can I find an ingredient list for these cookies?

I see the answer about not being gluten free. How about allergens? (Fingers crossed) Would the non-nut recipes happen to be free of the other top 5 or so?

Hello, we mix all our cookies separately and bake them on separate sheets. But we still have heard from customers who had an allergic reaction to non nut cookies.

Can we call and order in advance? Then just come and pick up?

Yes but on busy days we may not be able to accommodate this request. You can also just come in and purchase.

Will you guys consider partnering with delivery apps like DoorDash during this COVID-19 period, maybe with a minimum amount to order?

Thanks! Yes we are waiting to hear back from Postmates.

Does this cookie shop offer large, cake-sized cookies?

Thank you for asking. Unfortunately we do not.

Do they offer gluten free cookies?

I am very sorry we do not.

Is this the same cookies and cream cookies like Anthony's in San Francisco?

True story: Anthony hates me. Shortly after I opened Anthony came to confront me about getting into the cookie business.

Does Antoine's offer mini or smaller sized cookies?

Unfortunately we do not. Thanks for asking!

We got the last one of the croissant, so I can only imagine how fast things run out. Baked to perfection - flakey and not dense at all. The croissant did get a bit too sweet over time. There's two tables inside and one bigger one outside. It can get a little crowded with everyone waiting for their drinks. I'm glad I got to try it! I'd come back - lots more to try. I had my heart set on a pistachio croissant, as I love all things pistachio-flavored. When we stepped into the café a bit later, we were informed by the super friendly staff member behind the counter that someone came at 8am and bought ALL the pistachio pastries. He said that's atypical, and that under normal circumstances, there should've still been some since we came before noon. While it was a tad disappointing about the pistachio sellout, I still wanted to try some bakery items, so I opted for a cinnamon twist and a regular croissant. I sampled them with my friend before leaving, and they were pretty solid. I slightly preferred the croissant with its nice glossy exterior from the egg-wash and soft, fluffy interior. Overall, between the exceptionally friendly service and bright, spacious, comfy environment, I had a great experience here. Only hope to get my hands on a pistachio croissant next time before they sell out.

She was definitely a drive from San Jose to San Mateo but well worth it. When you pull up to her house, it may be difficult to find parking as other customers are picking up-- I ended up waiting for 1 person to pull out of her driveway so that I could park. The street is pretty packed with cars. Can I first say what a pleasure she is in person? Claire is super sweet and she's the reason I love supporting small business. We ordered the Mocha Crunch cake. Current prices are $50 for an 8". It's cash only so be prepared. The cake itself is on the light side (not as light as Asian cakes but I wouldn't call it dense either). Unlike some other reviewers that found it dry-- I highly disagree as it was not the most moist cake I've ever tried-- But it wasn't dry either. It was right in between and good enough for us. The Mocha flavor was lightly infused in the frosting and filling. It wasn't super overpowering but it was definitely there. The crunch topping was perfect and so unique. The only other place I've tried a crunch topping is in a latte from Kamurocho in Pleasanton. They have a "Honeycomb Latte" that is amazing. We served half the cake at one gathering and we ended up bringing the leftovers to another gathering. The cake was devoured. We were all hoping the bitterness from the mocha coffee flavor can balance out the crunch but we were disappointed. Interestingly, we then moved onto eating a chocolate cake from Marvel Cake and the chocolate was able to balance out the sweetness and cleansed our pallet a bit. We all felt that a cup of coffee would be perfect with this cake. The cake inside could also be a bit more moist. So all in all, the crunch got the thumbs up but the overall cake not so much.

They only allow around six people to queue inside, so there was a pretty steady line of people waiting outside. This place gets BUSY. We tried the black sesame iced latte and a single origin pour over. The pour over was easily a 10/10 for me. I love light roasts that are super fruit forward, bright, and almost tea like, and this was exactly that. The barista was also incredibly friendly and even shared his recipe with me, which I really appreciated. The black sesame latte was one of the drinks we kept seeing on social media, so obviously we had to try it. Unfortunately, it was not our favorite. The black sesame tasted pretty grainy and bitter, which clashed with the sweetness of the coffee rather than complementing it. I would probably give that drink a 3/5. One thing I really liked is their whole bean selection. They had a ton of freshly roasted coffee available, including beans from Hydrangea and Black & White. Overall, Kaizen gets a 4/5 from me. The pour over alone is enough to bring me back, but I was expecting a little more from their black sesame iced latte
