The term we came up with was "inoffensive" - no spice to speak of in anything, despite the items being seasoned and not bland. The mixed grill is huge and the grilled cheese included is a fun addition, and the ingredients in the tacos tasted high-quality (lots of raves about the tortillas) but there was no kick to anything. Perhaps we needed to adjust expectations, but when I come to a Mexican place - even a chain - I expect a little more, you know? Service was very slow during an admittedly slow time of day and it took a long time to receive anything besides chips, but everything was fresh when it arrived.
