Chadds Ford, PA - we sought a quick bite to eat before heading over to Longwood Gardens for the evening illuminated fountain show, which is just 6 minutes from here. This seems to be a mostly takeout pizzeria - no indoor seating - but there are tables outside. We ordered a 16" large pizza, with half plain cheese, and half with 3 toppings. The pizza was good - I thought the crust was great, nice & crispy. The fries were also crispy and crunchy but were oversalted. The staff are friendly and gave my kid a pizza sticker sheet which entertained him for a while. If I were a local I'd definitely be a regular customer. read more

My mother and I got a 12 inch margarita pizza and it was genuinely the best margarita pizza I've ever had. We devoured that pizza in minutes. We waited after we ordered and it was cool to see the pizzas being made from scratch. I got a piece of chocolate cake as well and it was delicious. Recently moved back to Chester County in Kennett Square. I'm from northern ChesCo and not super familiar with the current good food sports in the area so I asked for advice on a locals Facebook group and glad I did. Been to La Mia 3 times in 7 days(remember folks I just moved into my home and it's a wreck so ordering out is a very helpful) I can't say enough good things. So far I've had their Italian hoagie, cheesesteak, meatball sub, Cobb salad and cheesecake. Homemade meatballs you can also buy separately which are delicious. All the food has been very good and the prices are more than fair. Tonight I picked up the Cobb salad and cheesesteak. They actually wrapped up the grilled chicken for the salad separate in sandwich wrapping paper to keep it separate and warm and they also put the crotons in a separate bag so they didn't get soggy. That's A+++++ thoughtful service right there. I'm almost 50 and never seen anyone separate the salad's protein, which I think is a genius idea. The staff have all been very friendly in person, they are easy to communicate with over the phone for orders and it's very clean. I was lucky to talk with the owner's daughter my second visit and she told me how her father started the place in 2017 and has been in the food industry over 40 years which obviously shows with the quality. Called based on yelp and needed food for my adult kids at home while I was out. Super friendly over the phone, courteous when determining if they delivered to our location, easy payment and tip over the phone. The girl I spoke with was super friendly and polite. Ordered a simple cheesesteak, hoagie and fries. Food arrived timely and just saw my son since the order last night and he said "ear mark that place. A nice little pizza shop, I'm happy to have found today at work. They serve a crisp thin crust pizza that isn't too heavy on the sauce or cheese, and therefore not overly greasy as well. (I know pizza is subjective but that's exactly how I like it). I thought it was delicious and will likely try a sandwich next time. I'd love to see a chicken ceasar wrap on the menu someday, but there's plenty of options now. Very friendly people, and fair prices too. It appears to be take-out only, but there's a few outdoor tables for nice weather. Ample parking, order from the kiosk inside, credit accepted/cash appreciated. Highly recommended. read more

I got the cheesesteak - I instantly fell in love with LaMia Pizza but the longer I was there the more I fell out of love. Nice place, the guy was nice as could be, the Cheesesteak tasted and looked great but the more I ate the more I realized there was a lot of lettuce on the bottom giving the illusion of a lot of meat. Someone recommended La Mia to me saying it's the best they've ever had. It was pretty good, got a large cheese pizza took only 10 minutes. Pizza came with a good amount of cornmeal on the top and on the crust of the pizza. If you're a fan of pizza with cornmeal this may hit home for you. Some pieces I had almost fell apart while others were fine. Like others were saying on the reviews that it's a tad bit soggy and I'd have to agree. A longer cook time may have made me consider bumping this up to a 5. Crust was nice as well thin and crispy. Some oregano or seasoning on top of the pizza a light amount of it, it missed some slices. Overall some solid pizza, I drove 20 minutes for this would I do that again?... sure. Definitely some good local pizza though, will definitely have to come back to try the strombolis from the pictures I've seen they look great. read more

The pizza here is really bad, and I honestly don't know how this place is so well reviewed. Friends and family reviews/popular owner? The crust is thin and soggy and simply doesn't hold up to the weight of the sauce or the cheese. The pizza itself is bland, with the only discernible flavor being some slight sweetness from the sauce. The calzone is okay but nothing to write home about. Had a surprisingly different / bad experiences than other reviewers and really wanted to like them, right around the corner from us. Funny, their are so few items on the menu (which is fine) you'd think they'd have items the make well but everything was problematic. Our first venture was mushroom onion pizza. Like Brent K commented, the pizza was soggy & guessing because the vegetables. While I don't like dryer crispy crust, preferring soft chewier crust, this wasn't moist or even very moist but outright soggy. Other weird thing was the onions - they were sliced so extremely thin and long, they felt like string in your mouth (looked like pizza covered in thread) and strange chewing thru it. Seems like plenty ways to cut onions for pizza that would be fine but this method is awful to eat. Convenient nearby so tried again, cobb salad and sausage pizza. Again, unfortunately, both really weird and bad. Cobb salad is know for being a "chopped" salad with cubes or chunks of ingredients. Instead their turkey was thin sliced deli turkey which had been rolled, then sliced forming spirals of long narrow strips of deli meat. That have been okay except you don't get that chunk of turkey taste but thin slice, processed deli turkey taste - totally different and disappointing for a $9 salad. The sausage, though, was worse. Elsewhere have had either crumbled pieces or as slices of Italian sausage but theirs was nothing short of horrible. Crumbled is usually fingernail size, moist. Theirs was actually crumbs, dark dried out like tiny bacon bits - just awful. Literally had no sausage taste, just tasted like crumbs of beef jerky. So so weird and nobody else commenting on any of this. They seem nice enough, literally are down the street to save a trip into Kennett but such disappointing food. read more

Menu is limited but ample. Ordered 2 large pizzas 16" and cheesesteak loaded. The cheese pizza was very good, crust done just right. Sauce isn't the sugary crap you get from typical places. Veggie pizza was excellent. Only downside was moisture from all the veggies made the bottom of the dough a little soggy, but very tasty. Cheesesteak was awesome too. Very tasty and full. HUGE portion - all the extras, lettuce, tomato, fried onions and peppers. Get it with the works. They will be adding delivery soon. Going back for sure. read more
