This is my FAVORITE pizzeria. I'm admittedly a bit of a pizza snob, and WOW, this place is the real deal. When they first opened they didn't offer delivery or online options ... Now they Deliver!! 5 mile radius from the store, AND they have web-ordering (www.LaMia.pizza) Best of all, they know their customer's! I did an online order a few weeks ago, and forgot to select Delivery ~ they called me and said "You usually get delivery is that what you wanted? or are you going to pick it up tonight?" I was amazed, How cool is it that as a customer you're not just another name on a pick up slip?! Things I love that you have to try: Plain Cheese pizza (sometimes you just need to touch home plate with the basics) The Tiramisu The Chocolate Cake Bacon and Pineapple Pizza (Yes bacon) Tuna Salad Salad Turkey Hoagie with hots and sweets FRIES! (the bacon cheese fries w/ jalapenos is sooo delish) Cheese Steak Stromboli - sauce in it -&- sauce on the side Cobb Salad (with turkey AND add grilled chicken for added protein and deliciousness) ... If you're ever looking for a great example of living the American Dream ~ Look no further than La Mia Pizzeria in Chadds Ford, Pa. I've been a fan of this place since the first day they opened. From the excellent food & "sandy" crust to being closed on Sunday's (have you ever inquired as to why? It's because Sunday is their "Family Day" ~ How much do you just love that?). They are GREAT people, and LOVE that shop -- Not just the owner and his daughter, but all the employees -- They actually care and love what they do & Get this --- when you say "Thank you" they reply with "You're Welcome!" with a SMILE! Their drivers are so fast & friendly, (but) I must admit I do still love to pick up my pizza while this place booms during a dinner rush! The second I walk in I get excited for them. I used to think La Mia had excellent pizza. Tonight I was sadly disappointed. Not only did they mess up our order - we ordered a large half plain cheese/half white with broccoli and ricotta, we got half plain cheese half red sauce/cheese with a mess of ricotta and a sprinkle of broccoli. There was so much ricotta the pizza was mushy and soggy. To top off our ruined dinner when my fiance started eating his slice of pizza he found three long white hairs in the pizza (we both have dark hair! Gross! Will not be ordering from here again!! Additionally when called to report the hairs they accused us of animal hair, I don't have pets. They were human hair and it was baked into the cheese. When called about this, the employee didn't mute the phone and yelled to whomever "do you want me to tell them your not here." Daughter of owner rudely texts me, yes TEXTS me. La Mia Restaurant has quickly become my absolute favorite place to order from in Mendenhall. The chopped antipasto salad with extra Italian meat & cheese is honestly addictive--I've had it four days in a row and still can't get enough. It's perfectly balanced, super fresh, and packed with flavor. It's best with the olive oil & vinegar dressing! The pizza is equally impressive--think classic New York-style with just the right amount of chew and crisp. I especially love that they let you choose how baked you want your crust--a small touch that makes a big difference. On top of the great food, their delivery service is top-notch. My orders always arrive earlier than expected, and the young delivery staff are polite, conscientious, and clearly take pride in their work. La Mia is consistently delicious, reliable, and a true local gem. Straight 5/5 stars. Highly recommend! read more

The store has been closed since Christmas Holidays 2025 while they were renovating the kitchen. I'm pretty sure they now use a wood-burning oven,because you can't get this type crispy/charred crust from a conventional oven.I'll have to ask next time I visit just to be sure. Anyway,I tried a 16" regular pizza w/ 2 cheeses ,a 16" upside down pizza, and a cheesesteak (w/pepperoni) & a (huge!) bag of fries . Pizzas come in 2 sizes--S 12" ,and L 16". Steaks are one size. Starting with the steak and fries,they were very good,like borderline 5-Stars level of good.Would definitely order again.Steak was cut up nicely with plenty of melted American cheese and a good bit of chopped pieces of pepperoni.Fries were kinda thick cut and very tasty.Steak was a bit pricey at $17.50,fries were $5.95 The regular pizza that I got,I ordered it with Mozzarella and Cheddar as well as my usual Pepperoni.
