$29 for a large Hawaiian pizza if you use a credit card. Come on....That's 2 toppings, and it's not like they put extra anything on there. Food is good , but out of principal can't recommend because of overly high prices. read more

Very disappointed...viewed online menu, called and ordered a Sicilian pizza listed price of $26. When my grandaughter picked up the pizza it was over $32. I called 896 pie and they stated prices have increased but not updated on website. I understand that there is 6 % tax but $6 more. Talk about false advertising. Decided to try this place out since Oxford Facebook group mentions them sometimes. While I thought the toppings were all great, there's something off with the crust. It is way too chewy, like it was days old crust or something. I also got a cup of crab bisque and it must've been the bottom of the soup can cause I got an overdose of old bay in it. We've tried 896 pie a few times now, and had their pizza and sandwiches - both hot and cold varieties. We've found all to be pretty good. Though you can dine in, we consider it more of a to-go spot; not much to the dining area in terms of ambiance, comfort, or effort. Though they have a few things pre-made and ready to go behind the counter, there wasn't much, so I recommend calling in your order. If you're getting sandwiches, be aware they don't sell chips/pretzels/etc.I want to give 896 higher than a three star rating, but it's just not there for me. read more

One of the best cheese steaks I've ever had. They use local mushrooms and if you get the sausage on your pie they do the sliced, which is by far supreme to crumble, IMO. Besides the big and bold flavors of their special pies, 896 Pie has the Sicilian style! I highly recommend ordering it. We tried 896 Pie because of the reviews. Afterward, we discussed how we didn't understand why the reviews had been so high. The tables were sticky. There were large dust covered cobwebs in the dinning room. The drink selection was limited and half of one refrigerator was empty. The pizza was fine but not exceptional and the staff was friendly. Overall, the dinning room needs more consistent cleaning and attention. Disappointing. read more

It's Landenberg pizza I mean you get what you pay for. gets the job done in a pinch. Don't go out of your way for it though.

896 Pie, After hiking in White Clay State park to see the Mason Dixon line tri-state marker we header over to 896 pie because they had a 4.8 rating on Google maps (75 reviews). Luckily they are BYOB and I had packed some B. I went with the Stop Sign steak. There version of 'how much stuff can you put on a steak sandwich and still call it a steak sandwich' including ketchup and Mayo. I am not into ordering Mayo but I am glad there was Mayo on this cheesesteak!! The top bite where it was mostly meat and roll as okay but the second bite where everything had settled into the roll was a flavor party!! Landenberg may be far to go for just a cheesesteak but when you add in Mason Dixon line tri-state marker, BYOB and a very good Cheesesteak, It was a very good day and they are getting 5 stars from me. read more

Went last night...ordered large red pizza with mushrooms and onion rings. Onion rings were good. The pizza was horrible! Hard thick crust...the pizza dough itself was so tough...it was like wet cardboard! Sauce had a strange taste and a handful of mushrooms! Couldn't eat the crust.....tore it off and the outside to birds and raccoons. Never again! One more thing. If you don't tip enough.....the manager calls you at home to complain and says they are not coming back! Pay your employees! Our tip is in addition to your employees salary! read more

Came to the area to look at a house for sale in Elkton so, we had to check the quality of a local pizza joint - this one hit all the marks! The sauce for the differing slices we tried was delicious! The toppings were fresh and plentiful! The Pizza Fries we got on the side were excellent! Brent, the owner; super personable! Sad to hear this morning that the house we were looking at just went under contract but, I'm not sure if I'm more sad that we're not getting the house or that we would have been neighbors of 896 Pie! Fantastic pizza place for the area. Way better than Rosa's that was in the location before. I have gotten just pizza and fries from them. I normally just get slices or a whole pizza. The crust is crunchy and sweet and the sauce is also sweet. I have gotten the BBQ Chicken pizza as well. Really tasty and tangy. The fries are always on point. I love crunchy, crispy steak fries and I cannot find a better place to get them. They are most certainly at the top of my list for the best pizza place - ever. read more

Ordered food here many times. Food is average which doesn't really justify the higher prices. Often I call and they don't have staple menu items - no sauce for wings, no meatballs, no bread for sandwiches. Odd. I could deal with all that but they nickel and dime you and add hidden costs. Started charging a credit card fee with no notice. Added charges that aren't on the menu. My last order, I ordered a large Stromboli. Clearly says on the menu sauce inside or on the side. Cool. I ordered it on the side. The girl rings up my order and I notice an extra $1.75. I asked what it was. She said for extra sauce. I said I didn't order extra sauce. She then tells me that sauce on the side is considered extra because the sauce inside is pizza sauce and the sauce on the side is special marinara. That is not what it says on the menu - it says you have a choice. I only have 1 sauce and it was supposed to just be on the side. It also says extra sauce is only $1.00. The explanation? They raised the prices. This is not the first time I had an extra charge. To add insult to injury, I got home and there was no sauce included at all in my order. read more

We called ahead and ordered a large "Whole Pie" & a large "White Special Pie" and we were told that it would be 30 minutes. We were on our way home so we took the long way to kill some time. When we arrived 30 minutes later we walked in and it seemed pretty chaotic behind the counter but right away I was asked what I wanted. I then gave him my order # and no one new where it was, I was even asked "are your sure you called". Turned out they made one of the pizzas but not the other. Then they said we can make you one now (and wait another 30 minutes, I don't think so) I said no. The response from behind the counter was "sorry bud". REALLY! read more
