I know every shop handles things differently, but I know this number too well. So, I drove 30 miles to my favorite country car place and was told my brakes had 15-20k miles left on them(I drive about 6k/yr). That's three oil changes, not an "urgent action item". My shop told me one of the "dirty" fluids was clean without anything in it or being burnt. One other fluid needed changed. So my $3000 bill is looking to be $1100 with all that and some other things. This is a great shop for convenience, but I would suggest a second opinion if they give you a fishy report. Again, each shop is different. One might say " you need to fix one so replace all four" or sometimes a wire and some careful fixing can save you a $300 part replacement. But, my $4k car just needs to be well maintained to last me until I'm ready to replace it.

And it's pretty frustrating when you are on a busy road blocking traffic and can't get a human on the line for over 15 minutes! Constantly having to yell TOW TOW TOW to the infuriating recording which then texts a link for you to FILL OUT and SUBMIT that doesn't work. The person who provided the tow was great-- I know it was not his fault but AAA is too greedy now. They take your money but don't have sufficient staff to provide service in a timely fashion.

Typically, I've waited 20 to 30 minutes at other inspection stations. After asking what was taking so long I was told that it is normal to take an hour and half for an inspection..........REALLY!! To add insult to injury they presented me with a proposed repair order for various things for $889.01. I finally was able to leave at 2:20 PM, without agreeing to do any of the suggested repairs. They performed the oil change well enough, but they always seem to be a bit less welcoming when you state that you don't want the tire rotation service. My main issue, however, is that they did not appear to top off my fluids although they include a $6-plus charge for that service on your bill, according to the genial woman who checked me in. I ended up having to buy washer fluid myself to refill my vehicle's reservoir. Also, I would have liked to have gotten the checklist of systems they checked, and the videos they used to provide. Did they not check everything because I didn't want to have the tire rotation? I don't like having to think about that possibility. I'll likely still go there for oil changes, but I am hopeful service will be a little better overall.

Save time & money: go elsewhere!!!…read more My wife had a flat tire, and made the mistake of having it towed to AAA Car Care at South Square. They decided that all four tires needed to be replaced, plus a couple other things, and quoted over a thousand dollars (!!!). I said how about you patch the flat tire and I'll come pick it up- which they refused (!!!- professing deep concern about our "safety" lol). Since it was now mid-afternoon the day before Independence Day, I had to scramble to find another shop to tow it to ON MY OWN DIME (the lack of a spare tire is another story). Luckily I was able to find one and they patched the tire for $32; all the tires are just fine (no evidence of "dry rot" as claimed by AAA). This is a great place to go if you're itching to spend extra for stuff you don't need; otherwise you should GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

My experience here in the last few years has been much better than the many years ago from my first review. Whether it has been small upkeep items or big huge "gotta get it done or else" issues that come up, they have been great in communication. Not only do they keep me posted on where things are and when to expect my car back but also go over all the possibilities once they diagnose what may be needed. Some visits are small financial ones while others, as you would expect with a much older car, can be more expensive. However I have found that they consider all the possibilities and usually do the best for my old car and my wallet both. I have been happy with my recent experiences here and giving them a much needed updated review for it.

On Interstate 40 our Honda Odyssey suddenly made loud noises and lights were lighting up. We managed to get off the highway in search of a gas station. Amazingly a AAA randomly showed up in front of us. The men there immediately figured out the problem and set about to fix it. It was the alternator and battery. They worked on the car and three hours later we were on the road again. Everyone there was kind, professional and sympathetic to our situation. We highly recommend them and are very grateful for their help.

If you like paying extra for your policy because they dont seem to grasp anything more difficult than a simple deducible change, they are also right up your alley. No, he can't either. Please note - no one would listen when I repeatedly explained that THE CAR IS DEAD. I had it on the road, got an error, brought it home, it barely rolled into garage and died. Everything is dead, no lights, no locks, nothing. Guy keeps trying to jump it, blah blah, an hour wasted, finally says he cannot do it and his "dispatcher" will call back. That never happened and it's like my request just "disappeared from the queue". Last night at @9p I scheduled a tow for between 830-1030a. It is now 1035a. I called to make sure they got the right info, etc etc. And here we are. No one cares, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I have been extremely pleased with services I received at this location on multiple times. I've had a full synthetic oil change and they handled a few major concerns I had and my vehicle is running smoother. Owning a vehicle comes with regular maintenance and I'm glad I can trust AAA with my vehicle needs in these last couple months. They alleviated a lot of stress. I've previously been a dedicated Toyota or Firestone customer. I've had AAA membership for over a decade and I wish I had given them a try sooner.

The open desk arrangement for service managers (and travel agents) is accessible and comfortable. The comprehensive safety check sounds good in theory but, in substance, not thorough- they missed noting my cabin air filter was removed. The video with the report is non-specific and mostly for "show." However, they did catch my need to replace spark plugs, which was needed per spec. The service manager, Mike, handles customers well and I appreciate the good value he gave me honoring a AAA coupon; no games. I often do this kind of routine work myself, but this was a cost effective and comfortable alternative to "DIY" in 85 degree heat.

At one point the dispatcher advised us to contact the police department if we believed we were in danger. I've been a member for 45 years, I faithfully pay every year. For what? To get the run around? Potential members beware!
