Grew up here and came here all my life since a little kid, but now I live in San Diego and I legit do not eat pizza anywhere else than Antonio's. The slice flavors are the best! BEST Pizza in Amherst. Great staff, amazing selection of toppings on slices! My *ONE* complaint is that they don't deliver... This is possibly a good thing for me, in all honesty, but, if they delivered this would be slice heaven. The other thing to note, from being a Antonio's of Easthampton client, is the menu is limited to ONLY pizza. But, they do pizza right. Head in, go to the glass display case, and make your selections. (There is SO much to choose from!) It's a good mix of toppings that should please everyone. From the classics, to the outrageous. There are veggie centric and meat centric slices. Everything is a topping. Once you've placed your order, move to the front part of the counter, order a drink, and pay... Then move out of the way for the next person. You'll be called up to get your slice(s) when they come back out of the oven. (It all goes into the oven. I've learned not to argue this fact. ; ) ) The drink options are fountain or a bottled drink. They have a good selection of Seltzers, which is really nice. It gets STUPID packed at night, so be prepared to hang out a bit... Probably the best slice you will find in Amherst, MA, although that's not saying much they have a nice staff and decent pricing. Antonio's offers a wide variety of slices with interesting combos. My wife and I spent a few weeks in the area housesitting, and checked out this heavily renowned spot. And honestly, we don't see what the fuss is about. Pros: numerous topping selections, reasonably fast service, about as clean as you can expect with the heavy traffic, and the dough was very good. But the sauce was just average, the slices were lukewarm, and the prices are ghastly: I paid nearly TWICE what I would for the same topping (and a slightly larger slice) of pizza at my favorite place just two towns north. Now I get that part of the raison d'etre of the town is soak the college kids, who lack other options, but the mere existence of "OMG tortellini PIZZAAAAA" is not enough to get my attention. I want good value for my money, and for the money they charge, I want a slice that competes with Santarpio's or Pizzeria Regina's in Boston. This doesn't. read more

We stopped by here recently and had a few slices of Pizza. It was not the same as in the past. The Pizza was TOO DRY and did not have enough Tomato Sauce on it. And, the little sauce it did have was lacking in flavor. It was pretty tasteless. And, the Pizza actually tasted kind of old like it had been sitting out on the Counter for like 6 to 8 hours plus. It was really disappointing for us and to us because the Pizza here has been very good in the past. But, not on our last visit. We may or may not give this place a try in the foreseeable future. If we do, we might have to wait until the UMASS College Students return in the Fall of 2019. Because when they do, they tend to have a much faster turnover ratio on the Pizzas they serve because the Students consume a great deal of Pizza in a very short period of time and that ensures that the Pizza is usually fresher and tastes better versus sitting on the Counter for many hours and getting dried out. The Crew was fairly decent today, not the usual guys, and they just did not seem to be bringing their A-Game when we visited, although them somewhat tried to do so. Please bring back the usual and regular guys working there. They seem to know what they are doing and they are originally from New York City and New York State and have a special touch for making the Pizza just right to educated Pizza Lovers like us! read more

This place is a mecca for pizza lovers who went to school out here. You might find a pizza place you like in the place you live now, but you will compare it to this place until the end of time. Too dramatic? I am new to this place - it either was not here when I was or it was and I was to stupid to try it. It is tiny with very few table but there a lot of benches outside that you can sit. I am old school cheese or pepperoni and they do both really well. My son likes all the combos that they have here but again, it depends on what you want from a pizza. On our last visit, he had chicken with broccoli which he shared and it was good! There is usually a line but it goes by quickly. If you need a quick bite, give this place a try. read more

And I mean the best - that wonderful crunchy crust (even the underside), lots of wonderful cheese, and a tangy sauce. - Today, it's still pretty good, but not as good as I rememeber it. It still has that wonderful crunchy crust, and it still has that awesome cheese loaded on top, but that sauce is awfully weak. Not much in the flavor department there. Both were great, good to look at and delicious. when I came to pick them up the kitchen had made a mistake and made two regular pizza instead of one large. They offered to make a large but I didn't want to wait, so they did not charge for the regular pizza and gave two slices of pizza to make up for the lack of a large pizza. I love pizza shops like this one. Small, but with LOADS of pizzas, all different and unique. I couldn't believe the selection here. It seemed as if the pizzas could go on forever. I wanted to try everything, but with only 3 people ordering and a limited amount of room in our bellies, we had to settle on trying three different slices. My mom went with the pesto portabello slice with fresh veggies and mozzarella. I went with the margarita and my sister went with the BBQ chicken. We all agreed that the best slice out of the ones we tried was the portabello pizza with pesto and the veggies. It was packed with flavor. Our second favorite was the margarita with fresh tomatoes.. It was SO tasty and fresh. The BBQ chicken was our least favorite because it was strange. The chicken was BBQ, but the sauce on the pizza was red sauce. The red onions were delicious on it, but it was missing what every other BBQ chicken pizza has- the zing from the BBQ sauce. Overall, we loved this place. Possibly the best pizza you will ever eat. If I'm craving good pizza, I will make a two hour drive just to go there. The place is small but everything moves fast. You walk in towards the right and salivate as you pass by the display of pizzas. Give your order and the pizza is thrown in the oven to be heated. The wait is quick and in the meantime look for a free table. There are only three small tables, two free standing island tables, and a small bar table. It's okay if you don't find a seat.. You'll find that the moment the magnificent slice of pizza touches your lips you will slowly make your way to the front to get another slice.
