I have come in here periodically to meet my mom for lunch; she works in the area. The decorations have not really changed since they were the Pantry. However the menu definitely has. There is more variety in the options. The daily specials are definitely different. There are still gluten free options which are marked on the menu. There is no guarantee avout cross contamination but their gluten free pancakes are awesome. The food comes out quick and is very filling. Everytime that we have been we have had excellent service. Our drinks, be them water or coffee, never are empty for long. The servers have no issues brining hot sauce to the table when requested. I have only ever seen parties of less then 4, but given their setup, I think they could handle larger. There is a discount if you pay with cash. I will definitely come back. read more

This restaurant is in the same location as where the old Pantry restaurant used to be located. Don't even think that it is anything like the prior restaurant because it's definitely not - other than it looks the same inside and it is a restaurant! We came here for breakfast on a Friday morning and my friend got the breakfast special which included two eggs, bacon, sausage, or ham and toast. He had to pay extra for the potatoes. I got my usual egg whites and toast and it's pretty hard to mess that up. I actually did like the Rye bread that they use, but that is the extent of that!! My friend was not impressed with his breakfast and said we would never be going there again. Our waitress kind of slammed the plates down on the table and only checked on us once so service wasn't over the top good either. Overall, no big deal and no reason to try it again. read more

I absolutely love this place! I'm currently out here for work, and it's become the perfect breakfast spot right across the street. I've already been there twice and tried the French toast, biscuits and gravy, the Lumberjack breakfast, and the sausage and egg sandwich. The biscuits were a little crumbly and the gravy had a bit of a different taste than I'm used to, but honestly, everything else has been incredible. I can't rave enough about the French toast -- even the bread alone is amazing. The bacon is perfectly cooked, the eggs are super fluffy and delicious, and the sausage and egg sandwich was absolutely amazing. Added a picture of the sausage and egg sandwich -- which was absolutely amazing. I wish I would've gotten a picture of the French toast too, but it didn't last long enough for that. That alone should say how good it was. I've tried quite a few breakfast spots around here, and this has officially become my go-to breakfast place every morning. read more

I had the garden pancake and my son had the french toast. Neither of us thought the food had flavor, and the coffee tasted more like hot water than coffee. Service wasn't good either - it took forever for our waitress to come take our order, and then we had to hunt her down to get a refill on the coffee. read more

French toast the bread they used seemed to be mad just for the French toast it was delicious. the bacon was thick cut and could have been a little bit crispyer but it was good as well. We visited the Golden Toast Cafe during their opening weekend and had such a fantastic experience as a family of four! The food was absolutely delicious--every bite was definitely a "golden delight"! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. You can really feel the love and care the new owners put into the place and the food they serve. I visited this place close to closing time and asked the waiter for recommendations. She suggested the Chicken Champagne, which is apparently a popular dish prepared by the owner and it did not disappoint. Even though they were about to close, they welcomed me with a smile, never rushed me, and kept checking in to see how the food was. The owner is very friendly, and the entire staff was just as welcoming everyone had a big smile on their face. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again. read more

Ordered cherry crepes and there were only 4 cherries per crepe. Charge an extra $2.70 when I asked for more . Got 4 more cherries per crepe. Yes the crepes were delicious but having to pay extra to have enough cherries to actually fill the crepes is crazy!! Love everything else i've gotten there but this really put me off. When i brought it up at check out, our waitress was apologetic but really couldn't do much besides saying sorry. We go there alot since its a new restaurant and they lost much of The Pantry crowd. The service and the coffee was excellent. However, the food is subpar compared to the Pantry. I know they are trying to keep the menu similar to what the Pantry had but the taste is totally different. The prices are reasonable, and the ambience hasn't changed much from the previous restaurant. We will go back to try out different items on the menu to support the new restaurant. read more

Service was terrible, also had to send food back multiple times. we were very patient but after sending food back 4 times as they could not get the order right. we are now frustrated so ask for it to get boxes to go. we asked for manager who was extremely rude. The service was terrible at this place. We sat for 20 minutes before I had to get up and grab a manager to tell them no one had helped us yet. When the waitress came she said she still need more time. After another 5 minutes I got up again and another manager took our order. The drinks never came, so I had to go up and ask for our drinks. They got my daughters order wrong 4x so by that time we asked for it to be in a carry out container. When I talked to the manager asking for that item to be taken off the bill. She refused and said because we were getting it to go. She never apologized once for the bad service. We will not be going back there ever. The manager there was the worst of our experience. Ordered pouched eggs well, was served runny egg water soup, disgusting! Ordered hash browns with onions well done, received warmed boiled potatoes with raw onions. I asked for new hash browns the way I ordered them. We waited 30 minutes and when they finally came they were exactly like the first order. My husband ordered an omelette with hash browns and toast, he never received his hash browns or toast. When the bill came my husband said he would not pay for food he didn't receive so they took $4 off his bill. The bacon I ordered crispy, was served precooked bacon, dripping in grease. When I asked to talk to the manager she took the position it was our fault for ordering well done hash browns. There were 8 cooks in the kitchen and they couldn't handle the orders. We received our food at different times in stages, I can only imagine that the cooks aren't communicating with each other. Normally I understand mix ups but when they blame the customer for the problems that says a lot about how they run their business. This place will go under if they continue to do business like this.
