I thoroughly enjoyed my decision to go here. I was 38 hours into my fasting, was working in the area and looking for somewhere to get a big quality meal for an affordable price. Looked up "corned beef sandwich", which lead me here. I'm so glad I chose Antonio's Coney Island. They stacked a good portion of juicy corned beef on some grilled rye bread, with Swiss cheese and tasty sauerkraut. In the box they added a pickle spear and some thousand island dressing. It was so tasty, if I wasn't working I would have went back and got another one. Secondly I also ordered their vegetarian omelette which I substituted green peppers for spinach. (No regrets) also had mushrooms, onions and Swiss cheese (I think?) regardless the eggs were NOT burned which is hard to do with a omelet. Came with hash brown, I suggest getting them extra crispy. Comes with side of bread, chose rye bread. Used the omelet and hash browns to stack inside bread and make a sandwich out of it. What a meal! Wasn't hungry the rest of the day. If I'm in the area again, I WILL BE BACK! The wait staff was very kind, the restaurant was clean and tidy. Absolutely no complaints. It wasn't a 10/10 just because there was wiggle room for higher quality ingredients but a solid 8.1/10 stars ranking. Super solid. Come here and enjoy, they have a good sized menu. Went for lunch and was very impressed with Gyro Pita. Tender and flavorful with the right amount of tzatziki sauce, onions and tomatoes with a soft pita. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The last time I was here was 5 years ago and came here today for a late breakfast. They did rearrange the place and did some updates. I ordered half pancake, vegetable omelet and Antonio's omelet. Pancake was tasty and had flavor. I make pancakes all the time and can figure out if out of box or from scratch. My partner ate the Antonio's omelet completely. The service was friendly and attentive. Coffee was free but if you want strong coffee, you can pass. Money for value and good food, I'll come back. I support small business. read more

I feel like I should review this.. Tuti, Hannah, Tracy are all so great to me and my girls. The best. The owner isn't too bad either. Love them here. This place is great! I just had the hot meatloaf sandwich that comes with mashed potatoes and gravy and soup. I don't know but it all tasted like it was heated up 2 days old food. I think that they use thickener in the brown gravy and the chicken lemon rice soup. The soup was thick & tangy & potatoes and gravy and meatloaf had a funny after taste. The presentation of the food was not the best. The meatloaf was layed on top of 2 slices of bread. My Mother in Law ordered the fish and chips that comes with coleslaw. They didn't bother putting the coleslaw in the order and she said they give you a generous portion but it tasted bland. My Husband got the pancakes and bacon. We've eating here for many years, the food is delicious and the portions usually necessitate doggie bags. Tracy is our favorite waitress but they all make us feel like family regardless of how busy they are and the meals are prepared promptly. Can't say enough about this gem in Warren ! read more

In the Yelp! scheme of things nothing has changed (star wise) but in my mind this place just got raised half a star. I just had one of their coney's and they have a pretty good quality hot dog. I don't remember it being this good, maybe they got better or I'm just spoiled w/ all the coney islands here in Michigan and I forgot. Except for National, the hot dog I had here was better than most of the other Coney Islands in my area. Oh, and to make things even better: Monday & Tueday they have coneys for 1 dollar. The only problem I've had w/ this place is one time the normal cook was on vacation or something because the pancakes came out not tasting right. honestly the food is really delicious, after the new owners (Tony and Alma) came in, the whole restaurant has turned for the better, new inside look, the food is very good, the people are way nicer, honestly a great experience. now that i go there more often i'm starting to see the same customers and my guess is the food is really just that good! the atmosphere is super nice! definitely a go to place when in the area. so far my favorite meal is the club sandwich, so much food for such great prices! i love it!!! read more

Where do I begin? I have gone to Antonio's since the first day it opened, 8 years ago or more. I used to live in Fraser and that was my stop. I haven't been there in a year, but everytime Im passing through, I always stop in for breakfast. Clean resturant (big on my list!) Good food, a lot for your money. Everyone there seems to work so hard to make their resturant a success Once I went on mothers day with my mother for breakfast, and the owner went to every table and handed everyone a single rose! It was so nice. I live about 15 miles away now, and I wish I had one out my way, because my family eats out regularly, and we sure do miss the luxery of their wondeful carry out!!! PS. This place used to be so amazing with a friendly owner and friendly staff we used to come here at least twice a week! After moving away we were in the area today and decided to come in to enjoy a Greek salad and say hello to the people we haven't seen, unfortunately we found out that they have new ownership... who I witnessed tell a customer to mind her own business about the business hours apparently now they are closing at 3 and she simply just asked what was up with the new hours and the new owner went off on her! No wonder this guy is losing customers you can't speak to people like that especially when she was just inquiring about the hours I will never be back! read more

Waiting for my nail appointment I decided to grab a quick breakfast carryout. My choices were Antonio's or Leo's and due to the lower star rating for the opposing competitor...here we are! First, walking in my first smell and thought was "this place needs to be cleaned!" Looking down the floor was speckled in spilled food and everything had that slight greasy glisten. Yes, I thought of turning right around but I didn't. Second, it looks in order inside but truly needs a deep cleaning. There is a nice big counter where you can sit to eat and a nice sign to indicate carryout. My greeting was generic and lacked a friendly smile. Next, the menu has one of everything. To me this is a red flag indicating a LOT of frozen processed food with little to no flavor. Plenty of omlette options and your typical breakfast options. I opted for an egg white veggie omlette, no toast and hashbrowns. I sat at the counter and my order came very quick! Cost for my breakfast and an orange juice $11. IMO ...this is a bit much especially when your using canned mushrooms. I was charged $0.99 for egg whites which I truly don't understand. It isn't a different egg...??? Overall, it was bad. The veggies were nicely cooked and soft. The hashbrowns were I believe fresh and hand grated. It wasn't floating in butter...but still a tad much for my liking. It's a coney...for me not a bad breakfast but I wouldn't come back. I like fresh and whole...and not this tummy ache from all the extra butter and junk. read more

This is really not on my neck off the woods but when i was looking for a place to eat I found this on YELP! and thought, "why not." I ordered their friend mushrooms and chicken gyro in a combo. The fried mushrooms were the usual and exactly what our been craving for this particular night. The chicken gyro though was kind of bland. Even the sauce was a little tasteless for my taste. There was Edgar i think should've been the cucumber sauce that goes with gyro but even that didn't have enough flavor. The "seasoned" fries didn't have any seasoning at all except for the extra "crispiness". The wait staff was friendly though and apologized for not being more attentive to because of a big part of at least 12 was there aghast of me. Antonio's is a good place to grab a burger, or more. I'm a fan of Antonio's basically because they offer a decent meal for as low as $5. I mean, it's like fast food without all the fat and being able to be served! I like their burgers a lot. They're meaty in a way that I can't describe, except that they don't look like those prepackaged patties that... you know, try to look like they're not prepackaged. I can always tell when a place uses those because they look and taste like crap. You're really not going to find something to eat in this place over $10. There's a certain charm in that, for sure. Our food was very bland and blah. Ordered an omelette and a combo breakfast and both lacked flavor. The omelette was not fluffy and actually greasy to where I did not finish it. The booths are oddly small and uncomfortable which is strange but goes along with the strange decor. Bottles on the table were not wiped in some time as well. Kind of gross. We went to Antonio's only because we had found a deal for them on restaurant.com. We drove a good 20 minutes out of our way to go there. We ordered and mentioned the voucher.... They said that they are not on restaurant.com and have never been in her 10 years there. No attempt to look into it further or offer a discount. We had kids with us and already had our drinks so we stayed anyways. The food had generous portions and prices were fair, but the flavor was very bland. I ordered marinated chicken breasts and their was absolutely no flavor. The fries were good, but everything else was lacking and the coffee was weak. The restaurant was pretty dead and now I know why. I would never go there again. They said we were the second person to come in with a restaurant.com voucher but did not look into it at all. read more

It's average. Too many televisions and lack of participating staff. Waitresses like to complain to each other, but don't help each other. We've watched our food sit in the window a few times and no one wanted to run it out. I think it's an owner and friends like to sit and talk politics. Not the best place in my opinion and wish they were more attentive to helping a busy waitstaff. We needed coffee and saw one of the people at the table get up. Get coffee for the table and put the pot back. They finally got new ketchup bottles instead of refilling the old ones over and over, I used to ask for to go packets of ketchup. I have been going to Antonios at LEAST once a week for 15 years. Growing up it was me and my sons date night resturant. THIS PLACE WENT TO GARBAGE once the owners changed. It use to be like seeing family when going there. I commented on the time change (closing at 3) the owner approached me and was SO RUDE!! Basically told me to stop talking about it. They will do what they want. I got up and walked out!! A lady and her daughter saw this. As we walked out she asked me what that was all about. She was disgusted as well. She said her and her daughter WILL NOT BE BACK either after that. So 3 customers lost in a matter of minutes! I dont even want to give this a 1 but I had to pick something! Worst experience at a resturant in my life! By the way the old Antonios crew is at Andreas on 12 and Bunert! That is where I will be going from now on! Love this place. Great service, clean, consistently good food. My boys used to go to school near here and we would often go after sporting or school events. I love the Chevapi dinner but the waitress or cooks seem to have a problem with "crisp" bacon in the omelette & I MEAN EVERY TIME !!!! We have become somewhat of regulars here at Antonio's, especially for Sunday morning breakfast. We really love it here because the food is great, inexpensive, with excellent variety and wonderful staff. The owners are normally there greeting and socializing with their patrons on Sundays, which really adds to their charm. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a nice, casual, low key restaurant to grab a yummy bite to eat. For a good cheap breakfast this is the place. All the usuals plus a good pork chops and eggs selection. 3 nice sized chops with spuds eggs and toast. Yum love chops and eggs. Coneys are meh, but a decent gyros. Saganaki is served with all the enthusiasm of a rectal exam, i mean put a little opa into it girls. Otherwise service is spot on. Very clean. read more
