It is pandemic time and I cannot remember a time where I felt this appreciated as a customer from majority of the staff I came in contact with (all masked during my visit) . Tonight my server Conner laughed at an inside joke at out table that just rolled through the evening. Which leads to the meal; my veal piccata was done perfectly, veggies were prefect texture and consistency. NY Strip was the exquisitely done presented followed by taste and cooking to match the oak oven cooking. Portions are sufficient. Wine selection is admirable. Ambiance is mellow and conversation had all around with hearing other patrons. Get out and eat good food with good company. read more

We went there with our work group today, we have been there before with our Boss who recently passed away. We went there to remember him and also because we had really good time last time we went there. Everything was good our waitress was really nice her name is Jennifer. But we did have 2 entrees that came with hair.. yes 2 of them. When the first one came we were shocked and she had not even started eating when she saw hair tangled on her chicken salad. They were nice and made a fresh batch. As I was eating mine "shrimp linguini" I got hair on my mouth I took it out and went to restroom to throw up the food I had in my mouth(manager if u don't believe me please do go look in the trash that's in the ladies bathroom you will find that I am not lying). Anyways so when my colleague complained about our food the manager came out and blamed it on us indirectly saying "this never happened in our restaurant before, all the cooks wear cap" so you are trying to say we took our hair and put on our plate?!? Instead of being apologetic he had an attitude. He also tried to blame it on waitress, we told him that one of the food was tangled in the hair and on mine there was small hair.. I met a colleague here for lunch on a weekday and it was packed- I could see why! The downstairs portion of the restaurant is a cool little Italian market and deli (where we ate) which has a work casual vibe. Upstairs Antonio's is fine Italian dining which I am interested in trying one day! My colleague enjoyed the spinach and pancetta salad and I ordered the 10" Gorgonzola and fig pizza. YUM! All the ingredients are fresh and top quality. The service was alright overall- they were very busy at 12:30 with the lunch crowd! I recommend budgeting time to peruse the market that is full of wine, meats, cheeses, sauces and fine pastas! Decor in this place is cozy. There is parking on both sides of the building. read more

Yum, yum, yum. Worth it. This is a great celebration place or work dinner location. My parents took me here for a birthday lunch, and I loved it. Pasta is fresh, service is great, and overall the food is amazing. While you can get similar dishes downstairs in their cafe, you can't get the same up-scale experience there. I realized in all the times I've eaten at Antonio's I've never reviewed it. What a shame. This place is one of my favorites in Orlando. Whether dining downstairs(casual) or upstairs(upscale), it doesn't matter. The food is wonderful. The service even better. The ambience is superb. The location is in a great area of Maitland.(right by Lake Lily Park) But every single time I have eaten at Antonio's I have never had dessert. And for anyone that has eaten there the dessert counter is right at the downstairs entrance. And I always forget about it. So today I didn't. I pop in for lunch and order the following items: Carrot Cake, Taramisu and this chocolate cake(can't remember the name of it) and a cup of coffee. OMG. Period. I think I've found my new way to eat at Antonio's. Their desserts are beyond description. So here's the new deal for me when I dine there: lunch is dessert. Dinner: upstairs and swanky. Go here. I came by Antonio's today for lunch with a friend. When I arrived originally, I didn't realize there were different options between upstairs and downstairs, so I went upstairs and sat and looked through the menu. When my friend arrived, she told me that downstairs was much better and to come down. Since she's been visiting Antonio's every Thursday for 10+ years, I trusted her! The atmosphere downstairs was really neat. Find a spot at a table between the store shelves. It's small and intimate, but also feels bustling and unique. They bring homemade bread with olive oil and the bread is amazing. Crusty with soft insides and oh so perfect! They had a handful of wine selections served by the glass and a nice lunch menu with salads, sandwiches, and pastas. I ordered the caprese sandwich with pasta salad on the side. The sandwich was good. Great bread and all of the ingredients tasted very fresh. My friend ordered the spinach salad with chicken and it was a huge portion and looked very tasty. I would like to come back and try their pizzas! The parking situation was rough when I arrived. Perhaps there were large groups of people eating lunch when I arrived, but there was zero parking available. They have complementary valet available, but there was a line up of people and one person working the valet stand so it took me about 15 minutes to get into the restaurant from the parking lot. If I wasn't meeting a friend, I would have definitely opted for another restaurant. Parking had cleared up when I was leaving, but it still took me at least 10 minutes to get my car back from the valet. If this is a common occurrence, I suggest better staffing the valet area to entice more people to visit! The inefficiencies and time waster is just a bit of a turn off. read more

My boyfriend and I hadn't been here and years and decided to go last week. I love the market where you can grab a bottle of wine and bring it back to your table for a very fair corkage fee. They have lots of fresh made desserts, salads, entrees to grab and go. The menu has changed slightly and has gotten a bit bigger than I remember which was great! My boyfriend and I shared a bottle of wine, Ceaser salad, Lasagna and we even got dessert. Everything was perfect and they were kind enough to split our dish between two plates. I've been going to this place for lunch for years and I love that you eat inside of a little grocery store. Tables are scattered throughout so you're never really sitting on top of the people at the next to you. Plus you get to "shop" while your sitting there. Pick us something for dinner from the deli case or grab a bottle of wine for those long afternoons back at the office. (Kidding. Totally kidding!) They're eggplant Parmesan, lasagna, and chicken sandwiches are all delicious. The service has always been good and the food always just how it's supposed to be. I've eaten upstairs at the "fancier" part of the restaurant but was disappointed by the options on the menu. I liked the choices downstairs much better. The food was ok but not spectacular and the service left much to be desired. I never went back upstairs after my one experience because I wasn't "wowed" and downstairs was so much better! read more

If there was a 0 stars for this place, that is what I would rate them. We went last night and the food was marginal (over cooked chicken and about 10 pieces of lettuce in the salsbut the service was HORRIBLE. Our waiter completed neglected us. He was rude, rushed, and ruined our experience. I was really looking forward to a relaxing evening out after a long week but this was a waste of my money and time. I won't go back ever. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Update: I just got very nice call from Greg, the owner of Antonio's. He took the time to call me and discuss our experience and was genuinely interested in hearing about it. Kudos to him and that's why they have been around for so long. Thanks Greg. Update: we returned to Antonio's using a gift card that Greg sent to us. We ate downstairs and it was wonderful! I have ordered take out many times from this restaurant. I order take out only as a result of the rude wait staff. I thought the food was tasty, but didn't want to deal with the tiny seating area, the snooty wait staff & have to leave a tip too. Well, this week I ordered our usual meals (Pollo Piazziola & Pollo Carciofi), and when we got it home & began eating - I found a long black hair tangled up in my pasta. Disgusting. This place doesn't make their cooks wear hats or hair nets, which has always struck me as less than appetizing, but this was just too much. The restaurant is in Maitland, and is frequented by the pseudo upper-crust geezer wine crowd. I'd love to know what any of those folks would do or say if they were treated to an unsanitary treat in their linguine. Stay away. We tossed the food & got take out from Romano's Macaroni Grill where the cooks wear hats. read more

The downstairs market eating area is so unique! There seems to frequently be a wait to eat downstairs, BUT you can get a bottle of wine and begin to drink it while you wait! What a win! I went with my parents and we all enjoyed our dishes! The portion sizes were very generous and we all had leftovers. The only problem was that my dish and my mom's dish had cold pasta with hot meat. We went here for Valentine's Day- we were expecting a nice traditional Italian menu- we were disappointed the valentines menu offered very little choices and were unaware that it woukd be a different menu. Let me start with we were extremely pleasantly surprised with the food. First of all the lobster bisque was literally heaven- the BEST soup I have EVER had- there wasn't a lot of lobster in it, but I'm not even mad - the taste was exquisite! We then both ordered the pollo picatta- also wonderful - the lemon sauce was perfect- not too heavy or light. I did wish there was some type of risotto that accompanied it, but overall still an amazing dish. For desert, I got the Valentino and my boyfriend got the tiramisu. I wish I got the tiramisu- very good. I wasn't too big a fan of the Valentino only becuase I feel like I could have gotten something similar anywhere else and there wasn't anything special about it- it just tasted like chocolate mousse in a dark chocolate cup. Split a shrimp chipotle fettuccine with the kids (10 & 8). My daughter was in love with the vegetable soup of the day. Cool to be able to grab a solid bottle of Zenato Ripassa at cost and a negligible $5 corking fee. Overall, tasty meal, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. My family has been going to Antonio's for years regularly. We absolutely love it there. The food is always good and the staff is always great. I really love the downstairs market area. They have the best things like foods to go, sauces, spices, etc. I want to buy it all! This was an awesome cafe. I love that you are sitting in the wine collection and grocery store. Get a bottle of their wine of the day. I actually came here twice in a week that I was visiting. I have heard about this restaurant for years, but never been there until a couple of friends suggested it for last night. We got there around 6p and headed upstairs to the bar that overlooks Lake Lily. We were prompted greeted by our waiter and order several drinks as well as appetizers. For appetizers we had pigs in a blanket with Italian sausage and an artichoke dish -- both were very good. It was such a nice evening (and they had heaters) we decide to dine al fresco on their upstairs patio. We started off with the calamari which was excellent, not very greasy and had nice flavor. Next, we moved on to the main course which was eggplant parmigiana for me. I'm always in search of an excellent eggplant parm and this did not disappoint. In fact, it was one of the best I've ever eaten! My husband had the gnocchi which was also some of the best I've tasted. Service was wonderful as well. Antonio's never fails to disappoint! This is by far one of my favorite restaurants. I've been here numerous times in the past and I'm glad to finally write a review. The lower level of Antonio's is sort of a marketplace deli and grocery area. With shelves of unique deli items, such as italian pasta, sauces, fine cheese, wine, meats and many desserts, it's a great place to pick up something quick to make at home or you can even get a slice of cake to-go. And they make the BEST cannolis ever, you can also get these to go too! The upstairs is more a of fine dining area that makes a perfect date night for anyone. They have a full bar and also have small rooms you can reserve for special events. We love this restaurant so much, my husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here in a small room and it was perfect. Each room also has a screen and projector, which we used for a video slideshow during our dinner. Also, if you decide to reserve a room, they also put together a set-priced menu, which was very helpful. A favorite of mine from the menu is the fried calamari for an appetizer, it's fried, but it's SO good! The complimentary homemade bread and olive oil with seasoning is For the main dish, the veal picatta and the veal marsala are divine. I would also recommend any of the fish of the day, or the wood grilled salmon, if seafood is your thing. Another thing to add is the waiters are on point, they are usually old-world Italian waiters who are experienced servers. All in all, between the linen table cloths, beautiful view of Lake Lilly, and delicious food and wine, this restaurant the perfect go-to for a date night or group setting. The hubs and I enjoyed a child-free lunch at Antonio's Market & Cafe in Maitland. Antonio's has been in business since 1989 and has a spot downstairs for their deli, market and cafe, while upstairs is reserved for dinner service. I noticed a little advert for cheese pairing and found that they offer assistance in choosing from their collection of many varieties of wine and champagne, and pairing it with the perfect cheeses from their deli for take-out and parties. I also learned that you can ask the deli to prepare a cheese plate appetizer (it's not on the menu), with the option to choose your cheese or have them select options, and in any price range. Here is what they whipped up for us. We sampled a generous wedge of mushroom Brie, blueberry Stilton, crackers, aged Gouda, and a creamy bleu cheese. I was in heaven...and was delighted to take home leftovers to enjoy later. We were also given the suggestion to try an organic pink grapefruit fruit spread with the cheese and crackers and this proved to be an excellent flavorful addition. We ordered some bruschetta as well, which had a generous amount of tomato. The hubs ordered chicken parmigiana which came with spaghetti. The chicken parm was huge. Definitely enough to share or to have leftovers. I ordered the sausage and pear sandwich. This sausage sandwich came with sliced pear, Gorgonzola, caramelized red onion, and honey mustard sauce served on a baguette. I chose the pasta salad as a side and it was also very good. Again, enough to share or have leftovers. (Especially when you've had two appetizers.) In addition to our constant over-ordering when we get the chance to enjoy food "kid free", we had to find a few things at the market to sample. The hubs chose Baci and jelly beans, while I opted for sea salt cashews covered in chocolate and a vanilla croissant. The market has lots of unique items, from an assortment of imported meats and cheeses, to dips, spreads, cookies, and meals and desserts to go. If you haven't been to Antonio's I definitely recommend you visit for lunch (and I hear dinner is even better). I look forward to visiting again and taking some friends to share with! read more

Hi everyone. I'm planning a 50th anniversary party for my aunt and uncle , and I heard great things about this restaurant. I called this evening around 7pm to ask a few questions , and the gentleman who answered the phone told me that we was in the middle of dinner and he was not putting anyone on the phone. Very rude to speak to a potential customer like that. They just lost a huge dinner party , but they probably don't care because that's the attitude that people have now . The food was excellent! The Veal Parmesan and the Lamb Shank were cooked wonderfully. The staff was incredibly friendly. It is mostly an older crowd who dines at this restaurant, so as a younger couple we definitely stood out. The atmosphere was calm and quiet. Nice for a formal date night. read more

Went to Antonio's tonight for the first time as part of Magical Dining and left wondering why we have never stopped to eat here before! It was the best magical dining restaurant so far this year and some of the best food we have had since we moved here five years ago. While all the food was excellent, the entrees were the standouts. My wife's lobster ravioli with the extra side of seared scallops was amazing. My medium rare ribeye was prepared perfectly and one of the best two or three steaks that I have had here in Orlando, beating out steakhouse specific restaurants we have dined at. The wait staff was attentive, informative, and well trained. The entire dinner was never rushed, well timed, and throughly enjoyable. We look forward to returning again soon and if you haven't been to Antonio's, you should make a reservation soon as well. read more

Me and my wife had a reservation at 8:30pm and we had an inconvenience that we had to show up 10 minutes prior kitchen closing and the host was very understanding and let us in and sat us down without problem or hesitation, and our server was great he was very attentive, helped us out with the menu. Disappointing. Last time we were there it was a great experience and outstanding food but not so last night. The guy checking us in seemed bothered. Not someone who I would have greeting guest who are about to drop $300. Rushed to the table without so much as have a nice evening, enjoy your meal...nothing but pretty much tossing the menus and then gone. Waiter was ok, nice and informative but again seemed rushed. He helped us pick out a nice bottle of wine. Was surprised at the small wine list but we found something very nice. The muscles we had start off our meal were outstanding but the NY strip my wife and I had fell flat. So so flavor and a little chewy. It came with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. We really didn't have any choice besides that. Maybe the menus limited do to COVID.... Desert was so so also...our waiter seemed bothered we ordered Irish Coffees to end the evening seemed he just wanted to get the hell out of there.. I guess I'm a little old school I thought waiters were supposed to leave the paied bill on the table until you done with your meal and gone.....even though we were not impressed we left a nice tip.
