Yuri and his team helped me move a couple of weeks ago from Boston to Cambridge. I was moving from a big building. They were quite efficient - helped me wrap up all the stuff that was unpacked. I had a couple of pieces of furniture that were just fixed and they made sure they were delivered without any problems. I asked Yury to unpack the box with my phone charger first (that was the first thing I needed) and he knew exactly where it was. They also set up the TV quickly so that the guy from Comcast could get my cable / internet working. Bottom line - they wanted to make sure I got what I needed as well as they could. All in all it was an excellent experience. The service elevator in my old apartment building was not working so it cost me a little more than I was expecting but they told me that upfront. I would definitely use Anton's movers again and would recommend them wholeheartedly. They are extremely efficient, know what they are doing in moving, and adapt to the situation to get the job done. I've used Anton's movers 3 previously and had great experience. However, this time around, the crew messed up assembling my couch. We were very specific with the instruction, and we told them that we will help if there is any confusions because we know the couch was tricky. They said yes we got it, proceeded to assemble, and left. A few days later, we noticed that the couch started to wobble. It turned out that they didn't follow the instructions, and they took a screw from another part of the couch to cover up the problem. We emailed the management with pictures and did not get a response. It was the dishonesty that we're most upset about. read more

The good: My movers were fantastic. Two young guys. I think one was Manny, and I don't know his partner (blonde Russian guy). They were exactly on time, careful with my stuff, and moved quickly even though they were charging by the hour. Also, I had to change my time last minute, and the company was accommodating. The not-so-good: The company wouldn't honor its $80 / hour discount rate that it advertises on its website. Something about it being summer and a busy moving time. It instead charged $90 / hour. Still, it was the cheapest mover around, especially w/ the Yelp deal. The quality was great for the price. read more

I moved from Boston to NJ recently and the guys at Anton's did a great job! They packed everything up in about an hour and a half and not a single item was scratched or broken!! Unfortunately they were running behind and ended up coming about 3 1/2 hours later than scheduled, but someone called me first thing in the morning to let me know, which I definitely appreciated the heads up. Their quickness and efficiency more made up for it and it even cost less than I was expecting!! Highly recommend, just be flexible with your schedule on moving day in case they're running behind. read more

FYI. Please read. On 6/28 I hired Anton's Moving Company to go from Newton to the storage in Sharon. I paid $1030 for this move. On 7/10 Anton's Moving Company performed the move from the storage in Sharon to the apartment, also in Sharon. I paid $745 for the move. During the moves, a number of items were damaged and lost/stolen. 1. Big part of my son's Lego collection (that he collected from age 4 to 12), that had great sentimental value, got lost. Current total value of Legos lost was $1914. 2. The leg of my antique table was broken off. It is worth $250.Anton's Mover's gave me $20 for it. 3. New, in the package full-length mirror was lost. 4. Dishes worth $200 were broken. The total damages were $2444 I am not counting the scratched furniture and things that were left behind that I had to drive in my car later They are not BBB accredited. Anton's Movers offered me $450 to settle without filing a claim. I filed a claim with insurance company. It is possible that "lost" items are not covered, I do not know that yet. So, unless you want your belongings broken, lost, or stolen, do not hire Anton's Movers. The movers are the best I've experienced so far They are extremely efficient, and know exactly what to do. Everything is wrapped up and taped before moving and they don't slouch on the job. Awesome experience! The best movers we ever had. We hired Anton's to move a van load of furniture and boxes from our Newton home to our son's apartment in Manhattan. The 2 guys arrived on time (actually a few minutes early) in Newton and NYC. They worked quickly, but very carefully. They clearly knew what they were doing and cared about their work. I offered to adjust my time so they could accommodate another move, and when the other job went sideways, Anton and his team stepped up to get our move done. I love Anton's movers! I got several quotes from other movers before choosing them with a lot of variation in rates. It was not easy to pick a moving service, because it was not clear if there was a correlation between price and value. I finally decided to try Anton's because of a word of mouth recommendation, and I have no regrets. First, their rate was in-line with the more reasonable ones that I had obtained, but both their website and customer service agent were much more professional and seemed more trust-worthy than competitors in a similar price range. Second, they were extremely flexible about changing dates when the closing on my house was unexpectedly delayed. On moving day, the movers arrived promptly, listened to me attentively when I described the plan and began work. They shrink wrapped all of the furniture and carefully disassembled what needed it. Exceptional job. Our team of four showed up on time and ready to go. Based on the pictures and information we emailed them they estimated a 6-8 hour move. These guys hustled from start to finish. They were all polite and took the time to ask questions when needed. Everything made it into our new home without an issue. I was recommended this company by a friend and the quote seemed reasonable so we booked them for our move. The crew who showed up seemed very nice and, at first, very efficient. However, we felt like once they saw how well we had packed everything and how quick of a job it would be they significantly slowed down. They said because of the truck they had to take back roads and what as a 20 min drive for us was over an hour for them, which seemed more like they stopped for lunch. Then, when we arrived at our new place, we had to use the loading dock, which understandably delayed things a bit, but I truly could have run the items up to our place faster. It was absurd how long the unpacking/moving in process took and it really seemed like the men were intentionally delaying the process to earn more money. Not to mention they then broke an item of ours in the move and told us it was broken already (which was not true since we used it the night before the move and it was in tact and not broken). I wasn't going to post anything, but after watching people move into our building the last 2 weeks who were in and out in less time, but had more stuff than we did, I am extremely frustrated and disappointed. With all the good reviews in guessing I was an anomaly but I feel compelled to share my story. Ive used a different company a few times and they were great. At the end, I was happy to pay them for all their hard work. By the end of my experience with Antons, I just wanted them gone. So I had a pickup request of a piece of furniture an hour away so the job was to drive, pick up, drive back and deliver. Easy. I also called them beforehand and told them that I needed a desk moved down the hall and maybe a tabletop moved. On the phone, they said, of course they are there by the hour so whatever you need they can do. Perfect. Day of job, they arrive, bring in the piece and put it in the room. All going well. I said okay let me show you the desk I need moved. Response:. Oh no no no, that's not part of the job. I said, I called a few days ago and they said it would all be fine. "Let me call to confirm this because it's not on the job list.". Few minutes later, okay where is the desk. Oh and, if we get a ticket you are responsible because we are double parked. It's like he was angry at me for asking him to move my desk. After a lot of huffing and puffing (from complaining, not working hard) they move the desk. He says I have to go get the paperwork from the truck. Comes back and I said would you mind moving this partial tabletop to the back alley on your way out. Mind you, this is something I could have done but figured they were here. Response:. Why didn't you ask me this before the other guy went back to the truck? So sorry I asked you to carry something on your way outside. By the end, I felt that they hard overcharged me because by calculation they had begun their drive at 630a but at that point I just wanted them gone and didn't want to fight them on that one. I fully regret using this company and will be going back to the guys I have really loved working with in the past (move and care). I literally was so happy with my other guys over multiple moved that I gave them a bigger tip than expected every time...the thought of a tip didn't even cross my mind with these guys. Maybe he was having a bad day but don't take it out on the customer. Update: they reached out to me and apologized for the experience. Goes a long way so thank you. read more

They would get right back to, most times within a day for an email response. I paid exactly what they quoted me. The guys were Nick and Rudy and they were awesome! I hired Anton's movers for a move from NYC to Webster, MA and had an incredible experience. Tony gave me an amazing price and was easy to get ahold of. The movers arrived right at the beginning of the arrival window and worked very quickly (2 hours to pack the truck)! They even helped me dispose of my mattress. The best part was unloading took only 20 minutes and they organized everything in my garage perfectly. I've moved 4 times in last 5 years, one of which was also from MA to NYC and this was the BEST experience I've ever had. Yelp has got it right - Anton's Movers is as good as it gets! When I was looking to move, I called at least 20 different moving companies ranging from Gentle Giants to the no-name local laborer. Out of all those calls, Anton's Movers were the greatest choice all around. Their price is competitive to beat out those no-name craigslist laborers, but they were professional and friendly enough on the phone that they actually made me want to do business with them (I couldn't believe how many people were rude to me on the phone when I was calling for a quote). On the day of my move, I ran into the usual issue - my rental truck wouldn't start. Anton's movers were patient with me and did not charge me the 1-hour wait time it took for U Haul Roadside Assistance to reach me. After I got the truck going, we agreed to meet at the new home and they even made it there before me! They cleared out my full 14-foot truck of various boxes and furniture pieces within 1 hour. They did not damage my furniture and was courteous throughout our entire interaction. I will definitely use them again for my next move. read more

This was my best move ever. And I've lived in 16 places in Boston in the past 10 years. These guys were seriously the best and smoothest move I've EVER had, with zero problems and, just as important, no hidden fees. The extremely reasonable price we were quoted for labor, travel, etc. was exactly what our move cost us in the end. They were exactly on time to our old apartment and loaded up REALLY quickly---with just two dudes (Tony and Stan), too. They kept us informed of their whereabouts via phone calls during their entire trip. When they got to our new place, they unloaded just as quickly, even though we're on a second floor walkup here as compared to our former elevator building. Stan was crazy-drenched in sweat by the end, but clearly didn't care, and Tony (who could easily double as a male supermodel) had accidentally cut open his pants on something, but also couldn't have cared less. In fact, they were so courteous that they THANKED US for packing so well and being ready to go. What an amazing experience we had with Anton's Movers! My husband and I just moved with Anton's today and everything about working with them was excellent from start to finish. Setting up the move online was very easy and their pricing was very reasonable. We had a team of 4 men and a 26 foot truck, and they were FAST, careful and thorough. They moved us from our 2 bedroom apartment in Somerville to our new single family home in Charlton--all within 6 hours (this includes travel time of about 60 minutes each way), which was right where they quoted us.
