Terrible experience my Hyundai Elantra had multiple recalls and one where the brake could cause a fire and they said there was no fix to this issue yet. Took my car in at 8am and was promised my car back by 3pm and they kept my car without my consent and never called me to communicate anything. Service center never answers the phone Every time I called to check to see if my car was ready the receptionist would keep transferring the call putting me on hold and the phone would constantly be disconnected with a voice saying goodbye. I requested a supervisor and he never came to the phone or returned my call. The shuttle car took me home after dropping off my car packing the car with other people which is a Covid safety issue people coughing the whole way home but would not pick me up to pick up my car they kept my car over night without my consent causing me to miss work and then next morning called me multiple times rushing me to pick up my car and sending a driver to my house to pick me up without even notifying me first and I reported it to manager Chris who seemed to not even care I would not recommend you buying a car from here. read more

My experience was pretty terrible. I came in to Hyundai Catonsville with my 2015 Elantra on May 29th. The car has a sluggish transmission and an engine that's surging consistently. When I arrived at the service area at 1:15 for a 1:30 appointment, I was told by a gentleman named Ben that the entire diagnosing process would take about an hour. I asked specifically about that more than once, as I had to pick up my daughter at 5:00 pm. I assumed there would be plenty of time based on what I was told. Two and a half hours later another service technician, Doug, finally approached and told me what they had discovered. He said they were unable to detect the issues I had been experiencing. However, my battery was showing "poor" when they tested it, and that might be the cause of my problems. Key word- might. Replacing it would cost $330. I knew from my research that's almost $150 more than the average for replacing a battery in my particular vehicle. When I mentioned that, Doug said if I didn't replace my battery there I would be charged $135 as a diagnostic fee, so I might as well do it there instead of going somewhere cheaper. Gentlemen, you literally held my car hostage, and made an extra expenditure of $150 the only sensible way to retrieve my car. When I agreed to let them replace the battery, I asked Doug how long it would take, as I was already there more than double the estimated time I had been given. He told me half an hour. An hour and a half later I finally approached Doug to find out what was going on. At this point it was past 5, and I had been forced to make other plans for my daughter. He checked, and, looking embarrassed, came back to me and told me the car was back in the lot. Who know how long the work had been done. Also, he said, I had a brake light out, but they had replaced that for me for free. He also said he had been able to get the cost of the battery replacement down to $220 for me. That sounded great! And far more reasonable than the initial estimate. When I went to pay, however, I discovered that I HAD in fact been charged for the light replacement, and that the cost was NOT $220 but, in fact, more than $330. When I went back to Doug and said as much, he looked at me and said "Yeah, sorry." and went back to helping another customer. Finally, when I left the building to find an attendant to retrieve my car, there was no one to be found. I finally did find him he brought the car to me, only to get out and leave a stain on the seat and the smell of unwashed rear end and body odor inside the car. I drove home with the windows open, and had to clean and detail the interior to remove the stains and smell. I'm sure that sounds minor and laughable, but after everything else that happened, this was a truly terrible impression to leave me with. It's now a week later, and the car is still exhibiting the same problems. Problems that, if you sit in the car and leave it running for less than a minute, you can easily detect. I have no idea how the service people there were unable to detect ANYTHING after testing and driving the car. This leads me to believe that the techs there were uninterested in fixing the car's true problems, and instead wasted my time and money with a fix that was not part of the problem and solved literally nothing, but was much easier and cheaper for the dealership. I am, truth be told, completely furious about it. I now have to waste even more of my time and money fixing an issue that I trusted Hyundai Catonsville to take the time to find and fix properly, the first time. To recap, after nearly 5 hours at the dealership with very little communication, being manipulated with pricing that went from $330 to $220 to $330 again, and made filthy by the lot attendant, I will not be returning to this location. read more

***Deceptive Advertising ALERT*** My daughter and I shopped at this dealer Fri March 31. Online they had posted a 2011 Hyundai Elantra sedan with 105,668 miles priced at $7470. Steve our sales person was very nice, professional and sincere. We were made aware that the price is actually $8470 because if you scroll much further page two the following is stated - "All prices exclude $1,000 Cash taxes, tags, and certification fee plus a documentation processing fee of $300." This is very misleading. I even offered an additional $300 for a price of $7770. Steve had to go see the sales manager and he would not budge on the price of $8470. I have never been to a dealer where the sales manager did not come out to introduce himself. NOTE Prior to arriving I gave all my information to have my credit run. Steve, told me there would be no issues after they ran credit. I mention this because we really wanted this car as my daughter will be going for her drivers test 1st week of April. **** From FTC Federal Trade Commission website - - For online ads, "if you have to scroll down for a disclosure, that's a problem," she says, adding "a disclosure can't cure a false claim." I saved the online price for March 31 on my cell. Just so happens today's price on April 01 $8470. I will be making the FTC, Better Business Bureau and Maryland State Attorney General's office aware of AntWerpen Hyundai of Catonsville deceptive ad practice. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the service I received when I went to Antwerpen Hyundai Catonsville. This dealership is built on dishonesty and manipulation. I would not advise any women to go there alone. About a week ago I went to Len Stoler Hyundai in Owings Mills and because of my own short comings I did not walk away with a new car, instead I kept current Hyundai and I was perfectly okay with that. About a week later I received a call from Antwerpen Hyundai Catonsville stating that a customer of theirs wanted to buy my car and asked me if I would be willing to sell it to them/make a trade. I explained to them how my attempt to trade at the Owings Mills Hyundai didn't go well and I did not want to drive from Parkville to Catonsville and compromise my credit again if there was no guarantee. They confirmed that I would leave with a car and it would not be a waste of time because they had a customer who wanted to buy my car. To assure me that I would walk away with a car despite what I went through at the other dealership they told me the manager, Kevin Cary, would work with me directly at my 10am appointment. Before my appointment I called to confirm that with my credit and current car note, everything would go smoothly, Karl Smith said he and Kevin would make sure I walked away with a car. When I arrive I tell them I'm there for my 10am appointment with the manager, Kevin, they stated that he was off. That was my first red flag, why would they promise me an appointment with a manager who is off and the appointment was made the day before? Next, I spoke to the manager there and explained to him that I was at a different Hyundai dealership last week and waited for 4+ hours and left with nothing at my own fault (credit) and did not want to put my credit though that ringer again. I was upfront about my credit score and explained that if they did not think it was possible, I did not want my credit ran because they ran it a lot last week and I do not want to worsen my score. I was assured that it would not be ran and that he did not need to run it to work the numbers out, it would only be ran if they found a lender willing to accept my credit, etc. I was handed over to the sales member, Karl Smith, who appeared to be very nice and helpful which all turned out to be a false (he mentioned he had another side to him but he said that was only if someone messed with his family) he ran my credit through SEVENTEEN different lenders without my permission. I only found out because I get a notification from credit karma every time my credit is ran. Karl told me he just needed my social to see my payoff quote. When I arrived I told Karl I did not plan to put down anything he said that was perfectly fine, when he calls me back for an update he tells me I would need to put down 4,000-6,000 dollars if I wanted to walk away with a car. After I asked why did they run my credit without my permission and especially after I told them everything I went thought last week he proceeds to say, "well there is nothing we can do, it's not our fault it's your fault, it's because of your own circumstances you can't get a car". He continued to repeat that it was my fault it didn't work out about 5 times. Form the START I told him my info and explained what I went through at the last dealership I was upfront unlike them. I was lied to so that they could get me to come in (one hour away) and instead of being honest about there intentions I walked away with NOTHING and my credit was ran by SEVENTEEN different lenders without my CONSENT. Karl Smith told me after taking some time off he was brought to that dealership by the director of two Hyundai dealerships to make it "better" when in actuality he is only doing more damage. I plan to report this further, but for now I would like to warn people (especially women if you are alone) to PLEASE stay away from this location. They are dishonest and extremely manipulative. Our daughter and I bought her a 2016 Tucson Hyundai there earlier this year. Shortly afterwards both rear doors wouldn't open. Turns out this is a known problem and Hyundai extended the warranty on those doors because of it. Took the car in for service; service manager said they'd order the parts and call when the parts arrived. She said parts would take a week to arrive. For two months our daughter would call and leave messages, since no service manager ever answered. Never had her calls returned. Finally she got through to a service manager, who snapped, "If you haven't gotten a call that means we don't have the parts." Our daughter politely asked if the service manager could just check and see if the parts had arrived. The service manager hung up. Our daughter has called since and left messages. No call back. This was the first Hyundai anyone in our family has ever bought. It will be the last. A car with rear doors that won't open is pretty worthless. read more

This is one of the worse car service centers I have ever encountered. They must be con artist, because they are robbing people of charges for services that don't need to be done. After all the nonsense, she simply asked for a car wash. They said they won't do it and sent her off her way. Run fellow Yelpers! Find another dealership. I feel as if this is a relationship where I continue to give them chances and they continue to break my heart. I went in for service; hopeful that I was going to leave with a smile. However, this time the car valet person decides to take the keys from my husband as if he was going to get my vehicle and never comes with my car, he decides to go to lunch! I am patiently waiting and waiting, watching cars come in for service and leave from service. At this time I go inside to talk with the service advisor Marty, and everyone is looking at me as if I was losing my mind. When I describe the service technician, they immediately start calling him to find my keys. I am furious at this point demanding to speak with the Service Manager. I had to have him paged twice! FIVE minutes later still no car! At this point, I threaten to call the police because I have given my car keys to a person that has disappeared. The service manager had to call the valet driver on his cellphone to find where my keys went to and low and behold my keys were back on the service board without anyone know. After a half hour of waiting and YELLING! My car shows up. You will never get a review from me again from Antwerpen Hyundai Catonsville because I will never return. I will take the hike to another location; maybe I will try Jones Junction Hyundai! I work too hard for my money and expect proper treatment from the time I drive up to the dealership. This is the 3rd time I've had an issue with this dealership. They are awful! I dropped my car off last night for scheduled service today. They said it would only take an hour or so and would call me when completed. Well I just called to check on it and the service department is closed and the car is not done. WTF? They will not honor statements made, they sell "extended warranties" which turn out to be not worth the paper that they are written on (in fact, there is no paper, because in violation of MD law, they don't give you the warranty copy, just a brochure!)The personnel leave like rats jumping a sinking ship. They disavow providing any assistance. DO NOT EVER BUY A USED CAR FROM THEM especially not on Saturday at the end of the day. The person who sold me the car wasn't there a few weeks later. I had to threaten to file against them to get them to email the alleged extended warranty to me. TERRIBLE service, terrible sales team, super pressure salespeople. Just SO, SO bad. I didn't actually think to look at Yelp reviews of a car dealership before going there, so I didn't know about all these other reviews. My experience was similar to some of these other reviews, though. Short version if you don't want to read the rest of this too-long review: their online pricing is super-skeevy deceptive, and they totally dropped the ball on several aspects of follow-up after we did buy the car. Long version: We went there because they had a car we'd found online, on one of the major sites where you can find and compare cars (not sure if I can name it here, or if it matters). Anyway, it was the right car and the right price. Our experience started out good - I called ahead to confirm that it was still there, as it was a 45 min+ drive. The manager promised to hold it for me. I got there and it was still available and I was assigned a salesperson. I told her I wanted to pay cash and that the online price (which I stated) was our max price. I said I was concerned about how much extra fees etc we'd have to pay. She said to expect $2K-$3K in fees/taxes but she'd ask her manager to knock down the overall price so we could stay at our target price, the online price. But then, before we even did the test drive, she suggested I start filling out the loan/credit paperwork. I noted how weird that would be at that point, since I actually hadn't even seen the car yet, and would be paying cash. She agreed we could do the test drive first. Thanks? Test drive was ok, except the car reeked of cigarette smoke. I asked her about it and she shrugged and said the service shop workers smoke a lot in the shop, and then when they sit in the cars they make them smell smoky. How does this dealership think this is OK? She said they'd clean out the smell before I took it, which....thanks? I did like the car and the price so when we got back, I agreed that she could pull the paperwork together so I could see the full price including taxes etc, and whatever deal they could give me. Well she came back, gloating about the deal she'd gotten me. Remember that the online price was X, which was ideally my upper limit. She'd hinted that there would be $3k in fees, but that they'd try to knock $3k off the price, so I'd pay X out the door. Well...she was proud to tell me that they'd knocked $3k off the price, but I looked at the bottom line price, and it's still my original X price plus $3k. Whaaaa? Well it turns out, as she (and then her manager) explained: the online price is somehow just not a real price that the dealership actually recognizes. The REAL price was X + $3k, and they kindly knocked that $3k off, but then of course there were still the $3k in taxes/fees. Sorry for the vague math, yelpers, but the point is that it was a total bait and switch. Plus the manager was trying to mansplain it all to me, and I was thinking, "No dude, I GET what you're saying. It's just f*ing BS." What the what do you mean that the online price just isn't REAL? Well I did manage to get them down to a price I was comfortable with. And I unfortunately knew that it was the only car around that would work for us. So I went for it, despite my anger at that point. The rest of that evening was fine. I couldn't take the car home that night and asked if they could deliver it, which they could not. But they agreed to go pick up my husband at his office and bring him back to the dealership so he could take the car. Which was nice, except when they brought him back to the dealership (in the middle of his workday, as agreed), they made him just sit there for at least an hour, because of some issue with them not getting a necessary manager signature ahead of time. A week later, we were still talking to them because the car (used) only came with one key and fob, and they'd said they'd ask the other owner to find the second. Well it turns out, they were actually supposed to just make us a second key and fob, as part of it being "certified preowned," which I didn't know. But the saleswoman also claimed not to have known, which...OK I guess, we all learn as we go, she seems young and inexperienced....but she made me so mad because instead of just apologizing for not knowing, she tried to shift the blame to a bunch of other people there. Which is just such BAD customer service -- she also really needs to learn this. Just apologize if you or your business made a mistake, and try to make it right. In trying to make it right, she clearly wanted to make it as convenient as possible for her, and not us. I stuck my ground, got a different manager involved, and got what we wanted. There was still one more issue where they totally dropped the ball and pissed me off after that. I'm running out of room so I'll just say that they promised to call me back about that, and they never did. The whole place is awful. The end. read more

I have a 2011 Hyundai Genesis and it's getting old. To preserve her life a little longer I asked Hyundai Antwerpen to give her look. I have worked with Patti multi times and she is the epitome of customer service. She knows the mechanics of cars and gives great advice. If she doesn't know something she doesn't make things up. She knows the experts to go to. Although getting my car upright is hella expensive, it's worth it. Their quality work is great. Today Im here because my car rattles when it starts up in the morning after sitting for a night. Plus i need 4 new tires($700). Because they couldn't hear the rattle, they gave me a rental car for free because they want to keep it overnight so they can hear the rattle in the morning. That's what I'm talking about. I don't mind spending money here because the service is wondeful. They also know I spend a lot of money here and treat me as such. Learned the hard way today that the so called "internet specials" at Antwerpen Hyundai Catonsville are a complete scam. They basically come up with this by subtracting every possible manufacturers rebate from their "best price". These rebates consist of such things as: "Mobility Rebate" @ $1000 - Qualify only if you install handicap accessible equipment in the car (LOL, seriously?!!!?) "School Graduate Rebate" @ $500 - Qualify only if you graduated from college in the last (2 years?) "Customer Appreciation Rebate" @ $500 - Qualify only if you currently drive a Hyundai. "Military Rebate" @ $500 - Qualify only if you are in the military. etc... This information was vaguely disclosed in the fine print of the internet special, along with all the usual legal speak. However, the "internet sales manager" at Antwerpen Hyundai, Yessica Palacios would not give us any information until we went there in person. We arrived and she was briefly polite, before immediately disclosing that the entire internet special was based on these conditional "rebates", making the ACTUAL price $3000 higher! Essentially the ONLY way you'd get anywhere near this so called "internet price" is to install handicapped accessible systems in the car, be a recent college graduate, already own a Hundai, AND also be in the military... LOL! We attempted to negotiate this now $3000 inflated price down, but were completely blown off. Yessica Palacios became rude and condescending, while she continued to state that "this is where we stand" regarding the price. We asked her to speak with the manager. She looked irritated but said she would talk to the owner of Antwerpen Hyundai himself. Yessica came back a few minutes later and wouldn't move the price down even one dollar! We asked to speak with the owner, and she actually laughed in our faces, before making a condescending comment about how "he's the owner no you can't talk to him!" We asked one final time what she could do about the price, and she blew us off once more. Needless to say, we left immediately and she didn't say a word on our way out. NO incentives were offered, and NOT even a penny was taken off the starting price. We are extremely disappointed after being tricked into visiting Antwerpen Hyundai, only to be told that the "internet special" was based on ridiculous conditional rebates, and that no negotiation would take place PERIOD. We've been to two other Hyundai dealerships where the sales personnel were FAR more professional and polite. Obviously they're all out to make money, so you have to play the game. But there's no reason to be completely nasty and condescending to customers, and these internet offers are straight up scams that shouldn't be legal! The car salesman was awesome. The Finance Department is very shady. Bought a Jeep and signed the paperwork. Got a call several days later saying they found a lower credit rate. Wasn't interested, because we had already planned to refinance through our credit union. The sales manager then stated she deleted our contract, because she thought we would be interested in the lower rate. What business professional who has been working in dealership for years does that? So we go up a SECOND time. This time they are rushing. They give us a box of car wash stuff for being inconvenienced. The woman says,"Wash your car and come up and get it sprayed." We thought it had something the box they handed us. We sign and go home. They no longer print contracts, they give you a thing for your computer at home. We printed out the contract and noticed that they added 995.00 to the contract without saying a word to us. Went back. The manager said the 995.00 was for the " spray" she mentioned. She stated thst the boss said, "Since they saved so much money, add the spray to it." The "spray" turned out to be undercoating. She said he gave it to us half price. So, they inconvenienced us and for that, added 995.00 to bill. We had them take it off. Our belief is that we got a great price on new 2020 limited Jeep Cherokee. We refused all the warranties and have great credit. Her boss wasn't happy she found a lower interest rate, made up a story to get us in and quietly tack on 995.00 to get more money from us. The one manager slipped up by saying her boss said, "Since they save so much money, add the spray." Outrageous. read more

They were rude and tried to refuse to take a coupon they have on their website, saying it is only for new cars even though the coupon clearly said it was for new AND used cars. First of all, I tried to purchase a car from Antwerpen Hyundai Catonsville because I live in Catonsville. But....a Hyundai dealership 10 miles north offered me the identical vehicle for $1,500 less. Can't speak to the other reviews but my experience was great here. Maybe my sales person was just better than yours! If you want a good experience here go with Anastasia! For me she was the perfect balance of attentive and helpful without being pushy! Fun to talk too, made the experience enjoyable, and definitely helped me get the car I wanted. Between her and the manager Jamail they ended up getting me in a car on my first visit and I didn't even feel like it was an impulse buy. Got a better car than I thought I'd get for the price I was looking at but they made it happen. I do agree that the online prices are a little wonky but I feel like that's a lots of dealers. Would be nice if Jack would say yes to fixing that. But ultimately it was a great car buying experience and I already love my new car. The salesman was ho-hum. They have a weird thing where they give free oil changes, but not through any official program. The salesmen fund it. They seem to realize this is necessary to compete against the dealerships that offer it officially, but the unofficial nature means I have to call this guy and set it up each time. Inconvenient. The service is also not very convenient. They seem to take a long time even on simple things. There's no 'dropping in' for an oil change, making the above deal inconvenient compared to a dedicated lube shop. I also think the car is poor. I had multiple oil leaks in my first two years of owning the car. There's been a ton of recalls. I hate the inverted gas pedal arrangement. The stock tires are so bad in poor weather that they constitute a homocide attempt. I've already had brake issues. I had way more issues than a young car should have. It's now been a couple years of relative quiet, but I would never buy a Hyundai again, and not from Antwerpen if I did. read more

Can't say enough about my experience. I went online Wednesday to look at the sonata, contacted Antwerpen and they called back the next day. Went in to test drive on Friday and was approved instantly. The friendliness of the staff, they are extremely knowledgeable and willing to do whatever it takes to make their customers happy. I was thinking that it would take about a week to be able to get a car. I walked in about 1:30 and drove out 2 1/2 hours later in a brand new 2015 Hyundai Sonata Eco. Test drove several to get a feel of what I wanted. Picked the one, and was cleaned gassed up and ready to go in no time! This has to be the most unprofessional dealership I've ever been to. Their website asks you to contact them to get a special e price for the vehicle you're looking which they won't give you over the phone. You have to come in and test drive it only to find out that there is no sale price. We couldn't agree on a deal so I thanked them for their time and left. The General manager contacts me the next day asking what it would take to close the deal and after working out a deal on the phone he then proceeds to dodge my phone calls and sells the car out from under me. Not to mention they told me the reason they couldn't go any lower was because they paid $23000 for the car at auction. Giving it a 3 because my buying experience was good and I love my Kona, BUT their service department is the worst (except for Deanna). No one answers the phone, so I left 3 messages yesterday and NO ONE called me back. I got through this morning and they can't take me til next week. I have a flat tire and just want it patched or replaced. Legally I can't drive on the donut except to get it fixed. Very, very frustrating. One of the worst experiences i have ever had at a car dealership. Every fiber of my being was telling me to walk away from the deal, however they were the only dealership in the state that had the used car I was looking for. The car only came with one key, they did a document called a "we Owe". They never called me about the new Key, when I called them about it they said "O sorry we moved to a new building and don't have the key anymore". When I asked to speak to a supervisor he said he would follow up with me in 20 minutes. He never called back and won't help me with getting the key they owed me. read more

Absolutely terrible. The only saving Grace was the new manager Jim who came to my assistance right at the very end. He said it's his second week and he has to make lots of big changes. I dont know why the google review is so high. My experience was much more aligned to the average Yelp Score which is about a 2. I dropped my car off on Friday night and was told it would be looked at first thing Saturday. I eventually had to call on Saturday, no big deal, and my info was taken and my case manager Sean would call me back. A few hours later I called back. Sean was apparently talking to the technician at that moment and would call me back. Okay, great. Except another hour went by and when I called for a third time the service department was closed. Naturally it was again closed all day Sunday. Come Monday do I get a phone call? No, i once again need to call twice and FINALLY Shawn calls me back mid-Monday. He quotes me an astronomically high repair bill including things that did not need to be done. I did some research and got a quote from another repair shop which I presented to Shawn. My initial quote of $2200 was eventually lowered to $861.50 with one suggested repair not being completed. So great, everything was finally done. I called Tuesday, Shawn was not in but I was told my car was repaired. Great. I show up after work close to closing to pick up my car. Tatiana (at least thats what she said her name was) was the cashier. She presented me with a bill of $1650. Surprised I informed her that Sean had given me a final price of the aforementioned $861.50. Tatiana is a total failure at customer service and should be replaced immediately. She was cold, showed no sympathy and simply told me all her managers had left. WHAT A DISASTER. Pay the bill or you don't get your car. I had to ON MY OWN seek out someone who could help. This is when the new dealership manager Jim spoke with me. Thankfully he resolved my issue after about 15 minutes and I was able to leave with my car. I hope Jim is able to improve this dealership. He was the only pleasant part of the 5 day ordeal. With as many repair shops that are out there I WOULD NOT give this place my business. I hope you do the same and avoid the headaches that I have experienced. read more

Was here this past weekend. The Jack price is fake. The sales person told us it only applies if you can qualify for all the offers like veteran, handicap, new college grad, etc. Other dealers does not do this. They also showed us a "new" car they advertised on their website that had 5K miles on it. We appreciate the candor of the sales rep. He told us he gets yell at all the time because of the false advertisement. We went to another dealership and brought a car that night. I really don't know how they survive. This dealer uses a bait and switch with a $1250.00 hidden charge. Called ahead and confirmed availability of car. 20 Minutes later Im at the dealer, and willing to buy. Sit around waiting with cash in hand. Sales guy comes by and tells me "sorry that car has already been sold" - Proceeds to give stupid reasons...blah blah Proceeds to try to upsell me. I play along, find another car within my price range (not as good as the deal they had got me in on) Before moving further the sales guy says that there is an additional 1250.00 surcharge in addition to the sticker price, plus taxes and registration. Screw these guys - they're not honest, they're scammers - No longer have BBB rating, so there is not many people who you can complain to. Don't give these guys your hard earned money. read more

My sister recently purchased a certified pre-owned 2014 Hyundai Elantra. The purchase was pleasant, but when they asked her to bring it back to repair the rear bumper cover, and buff the front bumper as part of the deal. That's when everything went bad. No one remembered her, they told her it would be a day, she showed up several times and no one wanted to help her. She ended up asking me for my help. I called and finally got some answers that her vehicle would be ready tomorrow by 2pm. At least she is in a loaner, right?! Wrong, as she was going to work, check engine light comes on and starts sputtering, she was barely able to get it home. There are tons of bulletins online about this issue, and it was made out to her like "What did you do". She called Mike Jones her sales person, to get another loaner and after he checked w/ his supervisor was told NO. WTF is that?? Loaner is supposed to be reliable transportation, nothing fancy (I mean c'mon we are talking about Hyundai) and now she has a lump of turd sitting at her house and has to uber tomorrow to get to work. I have to get involved to get answers? Now they won't call me back -- I warned her not to go there in the first place and now she knows why. Hyundai has the best warranty out there -- I wonder why? People aren't buying a quality car, they are buying a warranty. read more

Initially completely agreed on a lease price, then i go in to sign and they mysteriously raised the price 2K. To say the least, i walked away and bought the same car at another dealership a week later. DO NOT GO HERE. Beware of the Internet YES Pricing, false advertising!! They include every possible incentive in the price, of which only a third most people can use. We test drove 2 NEW Tucsons there, a 2016 and a 2017. The 2017 had 8 miles and drove great. The 2016 had 6500 miles on it and drove like it had 26000 miles on it, it shimmied and the brakes were half gone already. The 2016 was discounted $7K and the 2017 $10K, funny money. Now comes the most irrational part of this place, they wanted more for the 2016 than the 2017, yes just CRAZY!! And just as crazy, they actually only took off the usable factory incentives..... If you think this story is bad, try going to Jones Hyundai. They wanted even more for their Tucsons.... Wound up getting a 2017 Tucson from a smaller dealer and got $6K off the MSRP!! and they delivered the car to us from over 80 miles away... read more

I could not believe it today when this dealership flat-out refused to provide me with a quote for a new car i'm helping my friend purchase this Saturday. Over the past week, i called the dealership asking for a quote. I also requested a quote using their online their chat function and Internet form. Each time, I was told they could only provide a quote if I came into the showroom. So, today I went to the showroom. My jaw dropped when the salesman nonchalantly told he wouldn't provide a quote unless I was ready to buy at that moment. The only reason I went to great lengths to obtain a quote from this dealership was because my friend lives very close to the dealership and wanted to purchase from them if they provided a reasonable quote. Fortunately, I have a couple of very decent quotes from other Hyundai dealers in the area who want our business. read more

Left upset and insulted today by a salesman G who has only been there for a month. Test drove the Sonata, but was not ready to buy yet. I'm a hard sell and I shop around and use a very effective negotiating system to buy new cars. I don't believe in going in and buying from the first place you go to. After test driving he sat us down but wouldn't give us details (final price, options etc) until I gave him all my information. I said I wasn't ready to do that, and only needed a spec sheet with all trim level options at this time. He said he cant do that unless Im going to buy that night. Wtf? So, a little annoyed, I got up to leave. When I did that, G said "well that's pretty rude".. Right in front of my father. I'm sorry but you NEVER call a customer rude for not buying from you right then and there. Ever. Especially when you've frustrated them by not giving them information unless they commit to giving you their information. I informed him that he was the one being rude bc what he said was uncalled for. I said I definitely didn't want to do business with him now, and he said "same here". When I asked if I could talk to his manger he said "sure go right ahead, he's not going to care" Seriously? Never going to be a customer of Antwerpen again. I was honestly a potential customer and was even thinking of returning to purchase at a later date, definitely not now. I've never been called "rude" by a salesperson before. I test drove several other brand cars today, and left without buying from any of them and none of them treated me that way. I just can't make a big purchase after 45min, and no customer should be talked to in that way! Nothing against the Hyundai Sonata. Thought it was a nice car and is still on my short list. read more
