BUYER BEWARE -- I visited Anus during their grand opening week and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The restaurant was extremely chaotic, the staff seemed overwhelmed, and the wait times were very long. There were flies throughout the restaurant, which immediately impacted the ambiance and overall experience. When I finally received my food, the curry was extremely thick and appeared improperly blended. The meat was overly fatty and filled with loose bones. I almost chipped my tooth while eating because bones were throughout the curry. There was also an excessive amount of oil in the dish. I was genuinely expecting a much better experience based on the hype surrounding the opening. Unfortunately, between the service, food quality, cleanliness concerns, and atmosphere, I would rate my experience 0/10.

We decided to try Anu's Indian Bar and Grill and what a disappointment. We were very disappointed with the service and food. Won't be back again!! The Samosas were sprinkled with white pepper on top and their website photo show 4 per serving, both the Butter Chicken and Saag Paneer also looked totally different from the website photos both looked more like soup with no flavor on anything! We also order Jeera Rice and the server forgot it.

Everything about this place was too good! The place is cute it smelled really good coming in. I loved the $5 margarita deal and desserts. Everything was explained well and there was pictures on the menu to show what the food look like. Overall I enjoyed myself and will definitely come again!

(This is my opinion though as every meal I tried was spicy) but non the less they were delicious. Wonderful and helpful staff and great portion sizes. Things to definitely try is first the mango lassi drink! Delicious!!! Don't knock until you've tried it! Then the burnt garlic fried rice with dynamite chicken or the chicken tikka masala also enjoyed the lamb masala. Their menu is a mixture of fusion and traditional Indian foods. The only thing I didn't enjoy that much was two of their deserts, the gulab jamun which is like donut holes soaked in sugar, it was overly sweet for me and then the gajar ka halwa which was like a sweet potato desert. Everything else was tasty and delicious and I truly had a great dinner.

It was pretty good, though the exterior seasoning was a little too smoky for my taste. It like eating a crumbly tofu wonton dumpling that's been pan fried as it was slightly crunchy. The mango lassi is creamy yet thin enough to drink. They only have bottled water. An ice cup can be requested. The Sichuan fried rice with chicken was tasty and is a good dish to taste a version of basmati fried rice. We tried sitting in one of the booths, but it was very chilly.

A friend and I were visiting Houston for a few days and were looking to binge on good Indian food…read morethat texan Indians are always boasting about. This place didn't disappoint. We ate our hearts out and enjoyed every dish we ordered. We started with goat bone soup which took me back to my childhood when we used to eat at the dhabas on the highways during our family trips. It tasted exactly the same, peppery spicy and delicious! We also had veg kal dosa, cut mirchi and gongura mutton curry. Cut mirchi was so delicately made and it melted in my mouth. Dosas were great with the gongura mutton. The quantities were generous and prices were reasonable for the quality. Service was awesome! I am officially jealous of the people who could eat this food whenever they want to.

1/5 Stars - By far the worst Indian dining experience I've had in recent memory. I would give this…read morerating less than 1 star if that was an option. Here's the summary: Subpar Food - Entirely lacked authentic flavor; tandoori chicken arrived lukewarm (tasting microwaved), and "extra hot" korma had zero spice or taste. Inattentive Service - Required flagging down staff just to place an initial order. Hidden Charges - Unlabeled table water bottles were covertly billed without prior disclosure. Questionable Payment Practices - Staff demanded blind payment on a card reader, refusing to show an itemized bill beforehand until insistence forced them to cancel the screen. If you'd like to know more: The food lacked any authentic flavor or expected preparation. The tandoori chicken, usually served sizzling on a hot plate (my experience at other Indian restaurants), arrived lukewarm, tasting as though it had simply been microwaved. Both the korma and the dishes requested at an "extra hot" spice level were entirely devoid of flavor and heat. Service was equally disappointing, requiring us to flag down a waiter just to place an initial order. Compounding the poor experience, two bottles of water left on the table were billed at $1 each without any prior disclosure or mention from the staff. Most concerning was the payment process: the waiter presented a card scanner with a total, refusing to provide an itemized bill beforehand and stating we could only see it after paying. (Only after insisting did the waiter cancel the payment screen so I could review the charges). Between the subpar food, inattentive service, and questionable billing practices, this establishment feels shady and untrustworthy. I cannot recommend it and will not be returning.

The moment I walked through the door, the smell alone had me questioning why I hadn't ordered anything for myself. I walked up to the counter, gave them the name on the order, and boom the food was in my hands. I truly appreciate a restaurant that respects to-go times, and they absolutely nailed it. While exiting, I noticed they also offer a lunch buffet from 11-2:30 which immediately caught my attention for a future visit. Now comes the dangerous part. The kids opened their containers of butter chicken with rice and spicy aloo, and my mouth instantly started watering. The portions were generous, and I found myself asking the same question over and over...**Why didn't I order anything?!** Curiosity officially got the best of me, so yes... I stole a bite. Actually... maybe two. The butter chicken was incredibly flavorful with a rich, creamy sauce that had me wishing there was another container with my name on it. But the real surprise for me was the spicy aloo. I'd never had potatoes prepared quite like that before, and they completely stole the show. I wanted that entire side for myself. Needless to say, next time I'm not just picking up food for the family I'm ordering my own meal too. This visit was more than enough to convince me I'll be back to explore the rest of the menu.

I had an alternate plan initially, but timing didn't work out for me, so I perused my bookmarks as I took the parking shuttle to my car and settled on Curry Masala. I called them once I got to my car and was told my order would be ready in about 20 minutes, as my GPS read out that I was 20 minutes from the restaurant. Everything was coming up Milhouse. Because I am a basic B, I ordered chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. It was ready about 3 minutes after I arrived, and off to home I headed. I enjoyed both, but thought the tikka masala was definitely the better of the two, and the wife agreed. We had a favorite Indian spot really close to here that has unfortunately closed down, so I have been on the hunt for a new one. Curry Masala did not quite match that level, but it's not a bad option when in the area.

Cleanliness Service…read more Family friendly Flavor I loved the staff and their attentiveness. But the flavor, seasoning, and execution of the food needs work. If you don't like spicy or seasoned food, this place works for you and you don't need to continue this review. If you do care for those things and you try this place, you might agree that the flavor profile is catering to the demographic of the location that the restaurant is in and not the authenticity of the culture that it should represent. I know of another location, but this is not to take away business for one restaurant, but to help encourage this one to lean more into its authentic flavor. Even if that means moving locations because your demographic may not care for it. I had chicken Biryani (safe for an American) but the chicken was dry and with minimal flavor. The rice lacked flavor. The raita was ok, if you like everything blended together. The onions and lime/lemon you might usually have on the side was not offered with this. Fried cauliflower with chicken 65 seasoning, had a good spice level, but it was soggy.

Ordered a nice hookah with a flavor that was sweet, yet tangy strawberry/kiwi flavor that was pretty solid. We ordered Madras Prawn Curry and it was the best dish as far as tasty and were fresh, yet mild though we had asked for medium. Also a Chicken Hakka Noodles which were equally good. Chicken Lollipops were also ok but kind of small yet great as a sharing item (5) per order. So, service was friendly and top notch and provided at first by Chandan from Goa, India and then a local Hispanic lady who was pleasant but seemed in a hurry. Overall we enjoyed the experience and will be back. Only issue was they allowed some of the regular patrons to play soul songs and dance and that was fun to watch them do their dancing in sync like a urban boot scoot but when some with bad voices did karaoke it was painful. But we were done so we left by 10:45 before their off key voices killed our vibe. We will be back if in the mood. Food 4.5/5 Service 5/5 Ambience 5/5
