Good location, thought it'd be convenient. Went there when there's a night time orderly, didn't bother to open the door just walked away bc I needed a fob to scan. Literally there to ask when the manager will be there to sign up. Felt super disrespected bc he didn't care about the business, he's just there to manage the trash. There was also a cockroach outside, so place grossed me out and I won't be doing business here. When you own and business, keep staff that are invested in the business. read more

I came here with my husband once. It's nice because it's open 24/7 can't beat that, that's so convenient. It's always kept neat and clean. The size of the the gym is on the smaller side, but it has what we needed, weights and treadmills mostly. Staff are always friendly too. read more

I have been going to this gym for several years. It is open 24/7 and it's usually not crazy busy like some other gyms in the area. I like that it seems very spacious for a smaller gym. Once you are a member, you can access any of the gyms in the chain in other cities/states. They have everything that I need there- 5 treadmills, a stair-stepper, a couple bikes, rowing machines, 2 cable machines, cages, free weights, class area, yoga mats and a handful of other machines. Everyone at the gym has been super friendly, however they are stickers about swiping your own key fab in (you can't just walk in after another customer without swiping). They also have a couple of bathrooms with showers, lockers (bring your own lock) or just throw it in a cubby- I've never had an issue. There are a couple trainers that I've seen around too, I think you can get 1 complimentary session. read more

Sunday 1030 a.m. gyms full. Football season. None of the TVs are on. Do better. monday morning: TV's still off with a couple showing the roku menu. Studio floor is dirty. Barhrooms out of toilet tissue. Mgr walks in, doesnt notice any of this, and starts working out. Member asks her about the TVs. Omg, she goes and turns on ONE tv (out of like ten) and goes back to working out. Like its monday morning and this place could use some attention. Most other locations are far cleaner (with the exception of berkley). Eta: okay okay, its prior to staffing hours. But still, not a good look. I mean the studio floor is really dirty and its always dirty. read more

I thought this gym was 24 hours, whether staffed or unstaffed? Gym has a sign up that says be back @ 3 PM and the doors are locked. Although staff are inside just chatting it up? Someone explain? This is very inconvenient for some one trying to be consistent and paid for parking due to this areas lack of. read more

Similar issues to others with regards to canceling. Staff on the phone refused to cancel or transfer my membership. When I asked for the manager he stated he was the manager, however, this appears to be a lie as the website shows the manager is a women. Would not recommend this gym. There are better alternatives in the area. I wish I had known this before. read more

It's so frustrating when things are more so for convenience than hearing how great staff is. I just joined Anytime yesterday, 12/13, and while my visit was pleasant and the woman I spoke with was friendly, to be able to speak with someone was quite troublesome. I did voice my opinion thru email, received a response, and the tone was a tad condescending. Neither party fully understands each other's time/schedule but it was just more elaborate than it needed to be. It seems relatively clean, there's a decent amount of clothes piling up for the lost and found but should be good for easy, solo morning workouts. read more

The staff, trainers and management accused me of soliciting clients for training and threatened to cancel my membership to the gym. I was training with my fiancée and apparently, a couple approached me. I gave him a pointer on lifting. The trainer felt threatened and instead of approaching me directly, went to management. They refused to have my accuser and me in the same room to address the situation. They also lied and said they don't have the recording of the incident that took place, when the hard drive has a terabyte (90 day recording). Everything that came out of the manager and trainer's mouth was a complete farce. As a physician, I don't need to train people. Why would I train for $70/hour when I clearly make a hell of a lot more money. Well, at the end of the day. Anytime fitness has lost two accounts. My fiancée loved it there because of the intimacy. We have memberships at LA Fitness and they appear to welcome us with open arms. read more

Its not bad, but just a bit overpriced given that there are three planet fitness locations nearby. (One on crooks in Royal Oak, One in Detroit off of 8 mile, one in Oak park on 10 & Coolidge) If this gym is within walking distance of where you live it may be the best option. read more

I had similar issues as referenced in prior reviews. When I would pop in to get in a workout was the team all smiles?, yup. However, things change when you cancel your membership. Lots of sass and attitude. A process that should be easy, turns into something that requires compatible technology when their documents should work on all devices. I walked up there to cancel, I was told to go home and send an email. They should have helped me right there. Customer service isn't about barfing up company policy that works for the company, it should be working with the customer to resolve issues given existing conditions. When people get upset about their ridiculous processes that were created for the company's best interest, they need to get better at accepting feedback. We're not here for attitude, feedback about the company's processes should not be taken personally. read more

Terrible customer service by management at Ferdale location in Michigan. I paid 1,080 for 24 training sessions beginning in January 2020. After only 12 sessions covid struck. Now the "owner" of Anytime Ferdale claims there is no record of this transaction, and therefore refuses to refund the money I paid for 12 sessions I didn't receive. Thank God for receipts and bank statements! read more

The contracts are a scam. They charge a ton of unnecessary fees under "ABC financial". Staff was unhelpful and inept at managing contracts. Also, parking is a nightmare at this location. If you live in Ferndale/Royal Oak, do yourself a favor and go to another gym. This one is not worth the money and hassle. read more

DO NOT ENTER A CONTRACT. I use the Troy location of Anytime Fitness because it's closer to work than my original sign up location in Ferndale. However, this resulted in my membership being transferred to the Troy club and me being subject to this club's policies. In Ferndale, cancellation requires a 30-day notice and a $100 fee. However, the Troy location requires me to pay out the full amount of the contract that is left. I'm very upset about this unmentioned membership transfer with different conditions. I'm starting school where there's a free gym and I'm apparently strapped to this facility. read more

I have been frequenting this location since it opened. I have come at all times of the day and this is my honest opinion. The place is always pretty clean, music playing, and enough equipment. If you come in the morning place is empty and everything is stocked and cleaned great. Afternoon is similar until about 4pm when it gets fairly busy. Between 5-7 you will struggle to get a cardio machine and the weight area will be crowded. Later at night it gets empty but sometimes cleaning supplies are empty and the equipment can get gross. Overall i enjoy working out here just avoid peak hours and you will enjoy it as well. read more

I strongly dislike this location. Incredibly overpriced for what you get (access to the facility, that's it) Very Dirty, hand sanitizer has been empty for months now. Vending machine has been empty for quite some time as well. Studio floor is disgusting, looks like it's never swept and I've seen ants. Not sure when/if they clean EVER, looking forward to canceling and switching to a different gym. So over it. read more

I've been going to this Anytime for roughly the past year and love it. Very clean, plenty of bathrooms and showers, multiple squat racks, equipment is well maintained, lots of foam rollers, doesn't get too crowded, has great Rogue Fitness bars, good dumbbells, and the staff is very friendly. I've been to many Anytime Fitness locations across the country and I'm very pleased to call this one my home gym. read more

A decent place to work out, especially during non-peak hours. Clean, organized, and well-maintained. Believe it or not, I really enjoy working out from about 3am- 4:30am when the gym is typically empty; however, it seems like more and more people are having the same idea lately and it is not uncommon to have a 1/2 dozen people there, even at that ridiculous time. Otherwise, I agree with other reviewers that if you go during peak hours it can be quite crowded and frustrating with people camping on the machines while endlessly screwing with their phones.
