It's great to have one here in Glendale. I got my membership at Lake Havasu in Arizona and have been going there for gym workouts since I lived there, frequently using other locations as well, like the Palm Desert spot, which is a great location. This one was nice; enjoyed the free parking and all the amenities all the other ones have, like showers, but it is not top tier. Machines are broken; some have signs that don't work. There's also a lack of other machines that are more obvious in other locations; it seems like they only carry the basic machines, which is fine if you want a simple workout, but there's very little variety here. The palm desert location is small as well but has more variety than this one. I do like the privacy, though; it is not as crazy or chaotic as other gyms. Coming in at 9 pm on a Tuesday was great; there were only about 4 other people here, which I loved. The other well known gyms are busy and filled with chaotic, judgmental people. In this one, everyone was just there for a workout. Small gyms and higher price points do tend to keep all the $10 membership people away, which makes a big difference in gyms. So far in my return back to LA, I am in search of a great Anytime Fitness location, and there are others in the San Fernando Valley I need to check out. I may come here once in a while, but I do need to see what else is out there. I just feel like something is missing here. read more

Anytime. Anyday. Anyway you can. Anytime Fitness - Glendale is no frills good clean fun. Located on Colorado Street on the corner intersection with Louise Street, parallel from Glendale Central Park. You can enjoy this little big location any day of the week with key fob access. They offer a 1 day free trial membership, that I wish was more like 3 to 5 days, but a win is a win! All the cardio equipment is in front with a great view of the street and local Glendale life. Some of the bikes and non treadmills can feel a little mushed together, but they do utilize all the space the best way they can. Restrooms and Showers are tip top, with crazy amazing water pressure. Some cubby holes and lock boxes to store your belongings. Parking is easy in their private lot, however it is limited. It's only a blockish from the the Americana and two from the Glendale Galleria. My boyfriend doesn't live far from here at all, so it's an Anytime I hope to revisit a little more getting back into the swing of being more active. Studio is really nice for free use if no classes are happening. I'm not a full member again yet, so I can't speak to all the policies that have been updated, but with the exception of less amenities and locations Anytime Fitness is exactly what it promises and this one in Glendale is one I appreciate. read more

Just signed up last week (shoutout to Stephanie--she made the sign-up painless and was an absolute gem). Been a few times since, always at night, and honestly... I feel spoiled. It's clean, bright, and I pretty much get free rein of the machines. The equipment's in great shape, and best of all--no herds of gym rats camping on benches while binge-watching TikToks. Apparently, AF being a step above the bargain gyms also means people here actually work out instead of practicing their best "phone stare" routine. Seems like they've made some much-needed upgrades! There used to be a back room that I never really saw anyone use -- I'd go in there sometimes just to stretch since space was tight in the main area. I really liked this gym at first--it's clean and a nice place to work out. However, I've had some frustrating experiences with their system and policies. This happened quite a while ago, but I still want to share it. When I first joined, I was told I could stop my membership anytime and restart whenever I wanted. I paused once and returned a few months later, but even though I rejoined around the 4th of the month, I was charged as if I had been using it since the 1st. This was never explained to me in advance, and when I asked about it, the staff only said, "That's how our system works." Another issue was with the key. I was told there would be a $40 charge to "rent" the key, but later found out that it's actually nonrefundable. I don't understand why I had to essentially buy such an expensive key, especially since it wasn't clearly explained when I signed up. Finally, when I tried to cancel my membership, I was surprised that they asked me to pay for an additional two weeks beyond the day I requested to quit. For example, even if I wanted to stop on the 5th of the month, they said I still had to pay through the 15th-30th period before I could fully cancel. Overall, I feel like some of the details were not communicated clearly, and policies seemed to change depending on the situation. I hope the gym can improve its transparency so that future members know exactly what to expect. read more

Was a member for 4+ years. Signed up for all club access at a certain rate. Never had an issue, enjoyed the freedom anytime allotted. They just now (12/23/24) called me and said they need to reassign me to a club that I have most recently frequented. Cool, nothing new it's been done several times in the past with no issue. However this time they said they need to raise my bi-weekly rate, or I lose access to this club. I pushed back because I have an all-access membership and the rep just scapegoated their owner and said "well the owner just wanted me to inform you". My guess is the "owner" didn't want me have all-access at the price I signed up for. Crappy way of going about this imo. Cancelled my account and they said I will still owe a cancellation fee because they need a 30 day notice. Hilarious all things considered. Beware make sure you read the fine print before signing up, or they'll nickel and dime you. read more

I visited this gym consistently as a guest. There is ample parking in their private lot. The type of clientele I've seen is a lot of older people. Mornings tend to be chill and not super crowded. There are a good amount of treadmills that look out into the bustling street. In general the space is on the smaller side but they do a good job at arranging the equipment so it fits. I also feel that the equipment is relatively clean. I wish they had a standard incline bench set up & straight bars but due to space constraints can see the challenge with fitting them in.. I have some feedback for management around the cleanliness of the bathrooms. The bathrooms here are pretty gross. They smell and feel very musty. I've been a regular at a number of other Anytime Fitness locations (Rosecrans San Diego, South Scottsdale, Arcadia in AZ, Hermosa Beach) and none have bathrooms that are absolutely repulsive to be in. Please do right by your members (especially the ones that shower here) and hire a reputable cleaning crew that uses bleach or chemicals that truly disinfect all the surfaces within the restroom. read more

Was making a review when they actually called me (of course nothing but great things to say). The front desk is amazing, the custodian is always cleaning and says hi, it's quiet during non-peak hours (I like to clear my head and listen to my lectures and podcasts), of course 24 hours, and they run the AC and have mini fans in the summer. They have basically everything you need and four showers as well. Great price, too. Especially if you are a Veteran. You do not think it would be that hard to find a gym like this in LA. read more

This gym fits my needs and really liked it here until the smelly person invasion which happened a few weeks ago. The last several times I've visited, the gym has reeked of body odor and it's been difficult to breathe, let alone have a pleasurable workout. I'm scared the smell is permanent since it doesn't seem any of the windows are able to be opened. I've looked. The culprit is likely a new member because I've been a member for a long while and this has never been an issue in the past. If the owner/management reads this and is wondering how to handle the problem, here are a few ideas: 1. Purchase a couple ozone generator machines. I've seen them on Amazon for around $100 each. 2. Post signs stating that members and visitors are expected to maintain proper hygiene, including but not limited to showering and applying deodorant. 3. Upon signing a new contract, the new member should be required to sign a document promising to maintain proper hygiene. 4. Install more ceiling fans and power them on high. 5. If a person with overpowering body odor tries to renew his membership, just say "Sorry, we're at full capacity." Other than that, the staff has always been friendly, the equipment is decent and even though it's become much busier lately, parking usually isn't an issue. I hope the problem is fixed soon and I can continue working out here. read more

April 25, 2024 Providing an update to my previous review. In the six months that have elapsed, I had forgotten that the staff person who eventually helped me cancel my membership had assured me that he would refund me for the month of November as I had not been in the gym for some time. I appreciated the gesture but was not too confident that he would take care of it. Well, after being notified this week of another Yelp user's reaction to my review, I recalled that promise to refund my monthly charge from November'23. I decided to call the site and amazingly the person who picked up the phone was perfectly polite and professional. In fact, after just a few seconds I realized that I recalled her (from her unforgettable and distinct voice) as the original person who toured with me when I initially started at the gym. She was great, within five minutes I had received a call back from her exactly as she promised and informed me that the refund would be processed within a few days. Today I received confirmation that yes, she and Anytime (ABC) had refunded my credit card. I can't imagine why it took the business owner months to reply to my initial Yelp review, but I can truly say that I hope he sees the extraordinary way that one customer service representative can impact a client's views. The person who helped (and toured) me is STEPHANIE - please appreciate that gem that you have there. She made all the difference and because of her quality handling of my account, I am open to rejoining once I return to Glendale later this year. read more

My fiancé and I have been going to this location for the last 7 or 8 months, and we love it. The atmosphere is great, and the employees make you feel welcome. Justin, the manager, has the best energy. We usually come in around 9:30 and stay til 11, but we haven't been seeing him recently. He literally makes sure to connect with every member and it's so refreshing to see, after being at so many terrible big box gyms. Andrew the trainer is also awesome! read more

Love this gym! I've been a member of all the other big clubs and nothing even comes close! Since lockdown, there's been almost no futbol played and I needed to get back into condition. So I joined their personal training program with Andre, and can't believe the difference in my game. I used to ache for days after a full 90 minutes. My hips were tighter than rusty gate hinge, and I didn't even realize that they were the key to on field performance. I've been to almost every gym in Glendale since the the early 2000's. Bally's, 24 hour on Brand (now defunct), LA Fitness, Golds, Equinox, etc. By far, my favorite has been Anytime Fitness. It's a 24 hour facility, so you're going to get to go on your own schedule. Private key to get in, since employee's don't work 24 hours out of the day. Speaking of the employees, the entire group of men and women who facilitate this gym are phenomenal. They all have their own unique personalities and the trainers are top notch. They care about seeing their patrons improve. Unlike these other major gyms in town, that have relegated their staff to be obnoxious sales people. You're always going to get a response to a question with care and professionalism. This is important whether you're a novice or a pro. The people at the gym are generally clean and respectful of the etiquette. We clean the machines after use, and we re-rack our weights. It's a great gym. Can't really say much else. read more

I have had to go the Glendale Library to use their bathroom and then return to complete my workout. Glad this isn't my regular location. I'm so disappointed at the lack of mask enforcement here. This is the second time I've come since the recent opening and this is the second time I've seen problems. First time half the people here weren't wearing their masks above their noses and a select few around their neck. I took pictures and emailed corporate. This second time only 5% of us were wearing masks properly. The SAME person not wearing a mask at all from last time is here. The kicker? There was actually an attendant here TALKING to these dudes about anything but their masks. I was at the smith machine and some dude comes to work on the bench 3feet away with a mask below his nose. Love belonging to Anytime Fitness! One membership gets you into over 4000 locations worldwide and this location is so clean and smells great, unlike the overcrowded big box gyms that smell. When I went into the restroom It felt like I walked into a spa. I came to take a small group training class- it's on the Purple Turf and was a lot of Fun! The Coach(Christina) was great! They have their own huge parking lot and if you forget your towel there's fresh clean purple ones to use. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, with a family atmosphere. I came here ONCE, I'm a regular at the Carlsbad and Culver City location through active & fit, since I do commute regularly. I live in east L.A., work in Culver City and drive to San Diego on the weekends ... and chose to give the Glendale location a shot... I was notified today that I will no longer be able to use the Glendale facility (again after going ONCE) and that my key card will not work because I had access to anytime fitness through my insurance company and not a "genuine member". They also said IF I was interested to pay an additional $45 after my active & fit monthly fee, they can set that up. I came here ONE time.. if the anytime fitness services are not offered through my insurance, please get that straight before belittling and making your customers feel less than. Thanks. read more

I have visited almost 10 anytime fitnesses around the usa. This one is really clean but small. It located in densely populated area so the main and the biggest flaw is only two shower. Also showers has limited time of visit - 10 mins. It is unbelievable dry hair during this period of time. By the way showers includes hair dryers. Equipment are in good condition. Very clean and safe location not far from the Americana! I like that everyone has to use their key fob to come in and there are cameras and sensors to make sure people are not tailgating. They have a few other safety measures as well which is good because I've seen a few sketchy looking people asking to go in to use the bathroom. This is a smaller gym so there's only one elliptical but there are multiple beautiful private restrooms, some with showers inside. This place is clean and the staff here is great. I use Active&Fit through Cigna to go here and it's been a great experience so far! There is free parking in their lot right outside. read more

I made an appointment to tour this facility this morning. I arrived at the agreed upon time after having received multiple email reminders and confirming my appointment via text message. Once I arrived, the door was locked which is understandable for security reasons. The sign said to call the phone number if touring the gym. I called 4 times and nobody answered and nobody let me in for the 15 minutes I was there waiting past my appointment time. Essentially I just went to this gym to waste my time. It's really disheartening to see how this gym treats potential new members. Definitely turned me off. read more

Pros: - Free parking - Super clean gym (you see the workers vacuuming and cleaning all the time) and everyone wipes down afterwards - Great gym culture. From my experience everyone is courteous and nice... unlike other places - Not crowded! - Did I say not crowded? - Cool new equipment - Open 24/7 - Staff didn't pressure me into anything and are always helpful Cons: - No basketball gym, sauna, or other things found at a 24 hour fitness gym. I have always struggled with working out in the gym. I was not allowing myself to go because I had no clue what to do. That used to be the case until I went to Anytime Fitness in Glendale and got a trainer, Andre Kim. He has helped me so much in a span of almost three months. He is always motivating me to keep going and if I ever feel sad because I did not reach a personal goal, he tells me not to sweat it because everyone's health journey is not going to go the way we plan it to be. False advertisement of 7 day trial. They force you to buy a key for $60 then I was told that I needed proof that I lived In Glendale to try the gym out.Seemed like a trick to get you to join without experiencing how tiny and dirty the actual gym is(according to several reviews). Why would you not allow someone to try it before joining? You don't want the business of people who work in Glendale or live there with an old address on their ID? Thankfully Crunch Gym is down the street had WAY better customer service. they allowed me to try the gym no questions asked, it's much cleaner and has way more equipment and locations. Quick update since they just responded to my review: This person insinuated that I have an issue with county mask mandate which isn't my problem. My problem is that you guys are way too greedy to let people out of a contract for the reasons listed below. Maybe try reading my post before making such a callous assumption. I understand the mask mandate, I don't understand why I have no option to back out of a contract that was set in much different circumstances. When I go to other businesses, I go there willingly and spend money willingly. Im not going to your business willingly, and you're still taking money from me. That's pathetic business ethic and conduct. So the gym itself and the facilities are pretty good. My one star rating is purely based on the contractual agreement with the Gym. 1. There's a disaster policy in the gym that essentially that they can siphon you out of money regardless of what disaster is present. Which leads me to the second issue. 2. I think it's pathetic that we can be vaccinated and still have to wear masks for cardio. While I know that's the surrounding policy for most businesses, I think the big difference is that I am not paying monthly subscription to those businesses. And if I was, I feel like I should be given the option to opt out that contract. 3. When I agreed to the contract of the gym I signed off to predetermined terms and conditions. The policy shouldn't cover drastic changes to the policy inside the business, and if it does, there should be an option to opt out of the contract rather than tell me the same garbage answer "Pay the remaining months and you can opt out" That's pathetic. We got our membership to the gym months before Covid. I think it's shady business to alter the stipulations of the understood terms and conditions and be extremely socially unaware of the situation this pandemic has created. Times where money is tough for most people and the circumstances are much more different, we can't ask for it to be cancelled without paying off the rest of the contract? That's shady. No matter how you twist it. Im sure Im going to get a response by management but it's going to be pretty much the same garbage "it's contractual". They will drag that vague clause in the contract to it's absolute limits. How socially unaware and heartless. read more

I LOVE anytime fitness. When I first signed up almost two years ago (I think) I wasn't sure if I was ready to commit to the gym again. I had paid for LA fitness for almost 4 years and went maybe a handful of times. Coming here changed everything for me. This gym is the perfect safe and comfortable environment for beginners. It's also great for anyone who is advanced and wants to get in and out quickly. It's usually never too busy and there's little to no wait time for machines or the weight area. I always wanted to start lifting but I never could because it was so intimidating at big box gyms. There is enough space to safely lift, thrust, press, etc and plenty of time to learn because it isn't overwhelming. I used to ask Andre (personal trainer) for help a lot in the beginning and he always gave me a huge smile and proceeded to help me with any questions I had on my form. He even gave me some great variations of exercises. I went from never stepping foot in the gym to now coming 4-6 times a week for almost TWO years! I love coming here and the environment is great. Incredibly clean & private bathrooms, plus an awesome staff that cares about you. I have found almost everything I could ever need here and I went from barely being able to lift the bar to being able to do so much more. If you're dedicated to a life style change, anytime fitness is it. It's a relaxed environment that welcomes people. If you want a gym with no wait time for machines, lots of barbells & equipment, friendly staff, clean areas and bathrooms. This place is it. Huge shoutout to Andre and Steph! read more

The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it's always so humid in here. To the point you can see condensation on the windows near the treadmills. I have gone through way too many gyms to really count but I have heard stuff about this gym and I told myself that I just need to check it out for myself. I became a member back in August 2019, but it was not till later on that month that I decided to have a PT. I am usually an early bird, so I was happy that I was able get a trainer to work with my schedule. On the first day of my evaluation/training, I saw Andre and although we clicked on so many levels I knew that he would help me out with my weight loss. At the end of that evaluation I had 10 mins left and we did some training, My goodness, have you ever sweated so much after just doing a 10 minute exercise??? I have not until Andre really gave me a killer workout. Since then, Andre has been my trainer and he has been pushing me to be better. He a true trainer that is very much willing to work with you no matter the circumstance. When I had a break up I still showed up to my training and I told him to bring on the heat. Oh he did, he pushed me to my limit but he also proved to me that I can hold a plank for a minute. He mentally, physically, and emotionally have been there for me and since August I have lost 10-16 lbs. He also tell me, before every workout "Close your eyes and focus on that weight goal. Don't Quit!" Andre, what can I say? He is the best of the best and he is worth waking up early for if you have a goal because he will bring you there! read more

I joined here in January of 2020, and enjoyed it greatly for the variety of free weights (who has a trap bar?!) and the collegial atmosphere. People were respectful, friendly, and most importantly reracked the weights when they were done. Additionally, the security and rule enforcement was top notch! I gladly paid more after watching 24 hr Fitness "remodel" their place only to pull half the racks in free weights, and then having to go on scavenger hunts at Golds to find weights and wait for people to get off their phones so they can finish their curl set in a squat rack. It was definitely a breath of fresh air and it felt more like an "adult" gym. However, I moved out to Glendora in March and I was hoping that the Covina location would open soon. It appears that isn't the case, and I was prepared to argue my case and cite CA consumer law, etc. when I called to cancel today. I'm sad to say that Stephanie took all the fun out of my righteous tirade that I had meticulously prepared by being pleasant, helpful, and ultimately accommodating by canceling my membership. I am still in disbelief that I not only had a PLEASANT experience but that it was by far the easiest way I have ever canceled a membership to ANYTHING in my life. If you're tired of dealing with douchebros and influencers and just want to do your workout without having to spend half of it finding weights or asking to work in....go here! read more

I have been to several Anytime Fitnesses in Cali and this one is by far one of the cleanest I've ever been to! The showers and bathrooms are always spotless. I've been a member of this location since the grand opening and I've been nothing but impressed with how they handle the maintenance and daily upkeep of the gym. There is always some new equipment or upgrade happening so you can really see where your money is going. The staff are all friendly and approachable, and really know their stuff, don't hesitate to ask them about anything you may need help with! You can always count on Stephanie and Jaime to greet you with a smile and a hello the moment you enter , or Andre and Dennis working in the gym with clients to take a moment and say hello or offer some advice The community is also very friendly and I've never had a problem unlike some other gyms I've been to. I've gone to plenty of gyms throughout my fitness journey and I never found one that I enjoyed going to until I found Anytime Fitness. My friend has a membership, so I wanted to give them a shot. I decided to get a PT because I felt that would motivate me more. I met Andre for my evaluation and we immediately clicked and asked him to be my PT at the end of our meeting. Andre's extremely knowledgeable about health and fitness...and he actually LISTENS to your goals, which some PT's I've had in the past don't do. He pushes me to do better and very encouraging. Every workout is curated to how I like and my fitness level. And most importantly it's different every time I go. I get bored very easily, so it's great that the routines change up for me! If anyone decided to go the personal trainer route I definitely recommend Andre. You'll see results! read more
