Six months later, things have gotten better. The staff are still amazing, which is a constant. All the treadmills have been replaced and it feels like there's plenty for everyone. The EoS acquisition of Gold's gym locations proves, on the daily, how quickly a mega corporation can run a successful gym into the ground. The maintenance of their facilities has gone downhill at WARP speed. By cutting corners on maintenance staffing and shifts and leaving their broken equipment is states of disrepair for weeks on end, they are showing the clientele the complete disregard they have for their gym experience and satisfaction. The absolute IRONY of their corporate poster at the entrance bragging about the money spent on upgrades (basically repainting the locations with their new color palette) while the state of the gym is being neglected and run into the ground is not lost on me. Please see the photos below of just some of the issues/failures I witnessed yesterday. If I had done a complete walk through, there would be a lot more. Management needs to address this immediately and if "their hands are tied"then I'll take it to corporate. I was contacted by upper management, and my issue was resolved, I am still working towards my 1-3 years free, besides staying in shape, getting leaner & stronger, that's my secondary ULTIMATE goal!. Walked into this EōS Fitness expecting a workout and instead got a mini journey first: navigating the parking situation like it's a maze. Parking Pro tips: *Do NOT enter parking garage on Broadway. Instead, enter parking garage on Orange!!! Will save you time and headache. You're welcome!! *EoS is located on floor B4, park accordingly!!! Once inside, it's giving "former Gold's Gym that got a glow-up." Clean, spacious, and those treadmills by the window? Amazing views!!!!! Nothing like gasping for air while pretending you're in a fitness commercial with a great view. Now, the recovery section... or lack thereof. No cryo, no massage chairs, no shark tank, no fancy "treat yourself" gadgets, just hydro massage chairs that were apparently out of service that day. Tragic!! Like ordering dessert and being told the oven is broken. BUT the sauna? Big. Hot. Actually doing what a sauna is supposed to do instead of gently disappointing you. So points there. Whats with the spray stations being so far apart and there's like 3 of them total, spaced out as if they're rare Pokémon. You finally find one after a long journey, only for it to dispense what looks like diluted water.... just emotional support liquid, technically something, but mostly vibes. At that point your wipe's not even cleaner, it's just... slightly damp and confused!! Most of the machines were new, so points for that!! I have been to the 24 hours on Brand Ave. and L.A. Fitness in Glendale. I rediscovered this EoS Glendale Galleria Gym this month- it's great!! My first time here was during the Pandemic and like all the gyms then it had a low Vibe / Back today and 3 times earlier with and last without my partner Natalie- We are very impressed - not just seeing the new equipment but also the cleanliness of the gym / including the showers, sauna, steam, and grooming areas.- I am going to work on my body towards being strong enough to do a group workout at the soft floor impact wood gymnasium- The gym is populated with all different Angelenos and ages- everyone is very friendly but cool and respect your space - Before I forget I want to recognize A.J. / he is one of the Staff fitness experts. The gym is fine. Equipment generally works. It's clean. Spacious enough and easy to access. The issue is the people. Women wear their dirty sneakers and put them on the benches inside the sauna. I wonder do they put their sneakers on their sofa at home? People can also hog equipment in the evening and be rude about it when you ask about waiting, especially couples. This goes for other locations too. People just generally need to be more respectful and hygienic. read more

Shoutout to Demid for going above and beyond! Last night I accidentally left my AirPods at EōS Fitness in the Glendale Galleria and only realized it after I got home--total panic mode. I called the gym today feeling like they were probably long gone, but Demid answered the phone and was super friendly right away. He checked around, called me back literally within 5 minutes to say he'd found them, and had them waiting at the front desk for me when I rushed back. I can't thank him enough for the quick response and for taking the time to track them down. In a big gym like this, it would've been easy to just say "sorry, nothing turned in," but Demid made sure I got my stuff back. Awesome service--makes me appreciate this location even more. This gym went downhill after the transition from Golds to EoS. Machines and treadmills are always broken, parking is terrible, overcrowded. The membership prices got lower after the transition, but I didn't receive any notifications about the new rates. I was paying $44 per month for the same membership they offer for $24 per month. I had the option to downgrade but would have to pay the annual fee again, which I recently paid for on my current agreement. I'd have to pay to downgrade. I cancelled my membership. I used to visit this gym when it was Golds, both before and after COVID. I recently rejoined (now being EOS) and as a platinum gold member, my experience has been pretty positive so far. The glute lab and escape room stand out as key benefits. There are fewer members, which offers more focus, privacy, and a tranquil atmosphere. I am giving it a two mainly because of the broken treadmill machines and the fact that some equipment still dates back to when it was still Gold's Gym. They definitely need to replace some or half of those equipment. The EOS machine pictures shown on Yelp are not seen in the gym. Since mid November the scanner has been having trouble reading my barcode when I enter the glute lab and escape room at both Glendale and Northridge locations. This issue needs to be fixed urgently, as member services did not assist at all in resolving it. read more

HORRIBLE!! I can only give 1 star to be able to write the review, but since EOS took over it's been horrible and deserves 0 stars. The staff's service changed, and worst of all was today, when we all paying members showed up and NO ONE was there. I always go there around 5:05 am the line was all the way to the parking entrance as you can hopefully see in the picture. Many people left, I eventually did at 5:25 am. So many of us can only go at 5 am because of work, but now not even that was an option. I tried calling and no one answered either. There was no notice posted at the entrance, no email, or anything. I'm not a bad review person at all but this company needs some serious work. Golds gym had the best gyms in LA and within a couple months of EOS owning them it's gone severely downhill. CLEAN YOUR GYMS. It's not that hard. I shouldn't be stepping all over toilet paper while I'm trying to use the bathroom which also tells me you don't wipe down the toilets or facilities through the day at all. Trash cans are overflowing. Machines are breaking. This in my opinion is the only nice EOS in town but they refuse to clean! This facility is unsanitary, the sauna constantly has a layer of caked sweat and smells like a morgue. Soap and paper towel dispensers are always empty, bathroom stalls are littered and covered in piss. In a rare occasion when you do see any type of cleaning, they aren't properly trained and will literally wipe down a machine while you're on it. Most machines are completely broken or need maintenance and have been this way for months. The only upgrades are closed rooms that require additional tiers of membership. The gym is packed with kids and you have to dodge influencer tripods like land mines. Don't bother asking staff for help, the counter is extremely rude and the rest are thumbing through their iPhone and will only perk up if you mention extending your membership. Bbl room is great. It's so gross when it gets super crowded here but the real reason for the two stars is that none of their water stations work and they have no intentions of fixing them, they are constantly out of cleaning supplies to wipe down equipment which is disgusting, they don't refill soaps/shampoo/conditioner in the bathrooms. Great gym, but the service is disappointing. They offer upgraded amenities like the Booty Room, but they won't let you try them out before upgrading even if you politely ask. They also don't offer tours of the additional amenities, which would make it easier to decide if the upgrade is worth it even after you ask. read more

Been going to this gym for 4 months now. The steam room has been shut down that whole time. Today I go in for a workout and try to go to the sauna after, out of service, fine I'll go with a hydromassage, and they're not working! I find that many of the machines break down and take forever to fix. I'm addition, the weekend hours are horrible. WORST. GYM. EVER. So bad I struggled to freeze or cancel my membership and even PAY for apparent months that were not charged to my card but every time I try it says no payment due so I am officially DONE - and yet they keep harassing me for money. They couldn't respond to questions, concerns, and wanting to freeze (then cancel) my account but they can constantly hit me up for money - checks out with a major corporation with awful branding. I usually don't do these reviews but this place really set the tone for me to unleash the fury. Immediately after sign up and paying the annual fee they canceled my partner's membership with zero communication, no notice, nothing. I had it on autopay and the contract was signed so not sure what even happened. I wanted my money back for that fee because I paid for both of us and then all of a sudden her account is gone?!?!?!? I have tried to email the person who signed us up several times (won't say his name because he was nice at least) - no response ever - but he certainly responded when he was trying to sign us up for memberships. Great - they fixed/replaced their machines, but they cannot fix the vibe in there. And the worst customer service I have ever encountered - there was one nice guy with curly hair who is always there at the front desk - that is it. Gold's would be ashamed at what they turned this place into - also, change you automated messages - still says Gold's Gym AND the callback number is incorrect/disconnected. Extremely frustrating experience at EōS Glendale this morning. The gym is supposed to open at 5:00am, and it's currently 5:28am with still no employees here to open the doors. There's a huge line of members waiting outside all the way into the parking lot. People pay for a membership expecting the gym to be open during posted hours, and this is a major inconvenience and a waste of everyone's time. Woow!!! this gym doesn't stop on surprising me, this is crazy they perform construction and remodeling while guests are present! Seriously?? This place needs an immediate change on management. It's not healthy, actually unacceptable be inhaling construction particles and paint fumes because they release VOC (volatile organic compounds), specially while people is working out since our lungs needs to restore our levels of oxygenation. let's start with the parking, the structure is awful. The people drive like maniacs through the parking aisles. Full speed like there aren't people walking through them or parking. The gym itself most of everything is broken. ESPECIALLY the treadmills, you might hurt yourself. The amount of times the treadmill has abruptly stopped on me mid run is concerning. She and I both clashed management do something about it, anything. She spoke to Ignacio in person. I tried calling Ignacio several times, and he never returned a single call. I wrote Ignacio two emails asking for some kind of response or action - nothing. It is clear this gym not only tolerates this type of harassing behavior but condones this behavior through inaction. Equipment is "cleaned" while members are actively using it, which shows complete incompetence and zero respect for paying customers. A significant number of treadmills have been out of service for months, with absolutely no sense of urgency, repair timeline, or communication. It's clear that management simply does not care. This gym is poorly run, badly maintained, and shockingly inattentive. Management is either clueless or indifferent--possibly both. Members pay full price for a facility that feels abandoned by the very people responsible for maintaining it. It doesn't matter what time you show up -- 5am, midday, or late at night -- it's packed beyond capacity. You spend more time waiting for equipment than actually working out. On top of that, half the machines are either broken, worn out, or barely functioning. It feels like maintenance just isn't a priority. The minute front desk greets you, you feel empowered to jump in, grind, and put in work. The facility itself is among the largest space in the community. The exercise equipment is always being updated, and maintained. Since the transition from Golds Gym, this location has been revamped with new leg extension machines and cardio equipment, The staff such as Demid, Ignacio, AJ, Caesar, and JD, the front desk staff have all gone above and beyond to making my fitness journey a unique experience. I can work out anywhere but I choose EOS Fitness, Glendale because I know the experience of having a professional staff backed by the amount of equipment encourages me to push myself even further. They could get new staff that doesn't insult you when you enter the gym or when you leave. They could also make sure all equipment works correctly. The majority of the gym equipment doesn't work and I spend hours at the gym waiting my turn. They could also get a better janitor because the bathroom is never clean and always out of toilet paper. The sauna and steam are usually dirty as well. And maybe get a better location in glendale so you don't have to deal with the bad parking situation They have at the mall especially on weekends. Since this Gym changed to EOS , I realize how amazing Golds Gym was . This GYM is the WORST. If you are considering signing up, DONT!! The quality of this GYM is so poor. Machines are ALWAYS broken and last month's that way. They have the same excuse "the equipment has allot of use" or "people let the weights drop" , well this is a gym, that is expected is it not? Thats the reason for regular maintenance . The machine that has allot of cables has been broken for months. Yesterday I saw a guy go around the entire machine, only to be frustrated none of the cables were working. Same frustration me and so many others have. The machines are NOT being serviced I see I'm not the only person complaining about this. And it's the same lame response from the District Operations Manager ,Sami Cacchione - "your feedback is important" "we are committed to improving" "we are actively working on your concerns" You are doing absolutely NOTHING to improve this gym. You are NOT actively working on people's concerns nor are you committed to improving this ongoing issue" What are you doing??? Besides nothing and responding the same corporate lie. Only 5 / 40+ of the treadmills work. My stuff got stolen out the locker room including my wallet and keys. Crowded and can't ever use the machines which will prolong your workout for waiting. NOT worth it in any way unless you're like unemployed and have 3 hours to do 5 machines while getting your stuff stolen. read more
