I have had a very positive experience here, one of the first days I work out here on my was very cheerfully greeted by a number of the staff and it hasn't changed since. The trainers, aside from one who seems to be friendly with everyone aside from me, are very nice and welcoming. In the time that I have been here there has only been one piece of equipment that broke and it was fixed within a few weeks . Members will chat a little bit if you want to but will also leave you be to do your work out if you're not the type of person to jib jab at the gym. The only thing keeping me from rating the gym five stars is that while there is plenty of equipment to do whatever workouts you want to, it is still a limited selection and the parking situation is not great. I have never had to park in a completely different location, but sometimes getting parking in the industrial complex is a bit of a hassle.

And the only reason I stayed that long was because of my personal anxiety with change lol. This place is not clean, never really has been. The showers are gross, the toilets are gross, there is mold forming on the ceiling tiles in the Men's locker room so it has to be in other places. There are two water fountains (even though one has been out of order for two years now... COME ON GUYS!!). The benches and machines take a much longer than acceptable time to repair...some of the treadmills haven't been fully operational (incline and decline options) in at least 2/3 years...I am not exaggerating this. The parking is just not great at all...and will be pretty confusing to any new member. The rate has gone up from $10 to $15 to currently $25 for me in which I was grandfathered in to those rates (it's $40 a month now for new people). You would think with the rate increases the place and its conditions would improve but they have steadily gone downhill. Do yourself a favor and shop around before you decide on this place. I get it, it is just a gym... but this place is not clean like other facilities I have been to... not even in the same realm as sanitary and clean. The last straw for me was when I walked in one day and the 2 toilet stalls in the Men's locker room were out of order... as far as I am concerned you shouldn't even open the place if that's the case. Literally no where you could go if you had an emergency number 2. Don't let change keep any of you existing members from leaving like I have.

For the last 7 months, he has given me advice every time I ask, he's answered texts on a Sunday, and most importantly he cares so much about each of us. Sometimes I need my workout tailored to injuries or my Type 1 diabetes, and he doesn't even bat an eyelash, he just does it and I leave feeling like I pushed myself to the limit. He's so encouraging and loves to point out how well people are doing. The workouts are fun! It's so nice to have a room full of people cheering you on, but more than that I just love the exercises. I never thought I'd be able to get close to a chin up, or be able to bench press triple digits, but here I am! To anybody who is on the fence but wants to kickstart some fitness, take it from a former couch potato: you can do it! This is the place!

I have been part of the program for just over a month, and have already seen amazing results. I was never a runner but Coach Mike taught me how to sprint and get the most benefit out of it. He makes sure that you are always pushing yourself just enough, and I've surprised myself with how much strength I've gained. First glance, I did not like that people could see right into the class, I wish the bottom half of the glass was at least frosted. You MUST have socks with grips, but if you forget, they sell some there. Cubbies for your stuff and a small "waiting room" where you can also see all the people in the class. Andy was great, I love that she subtly assisted me while instructing. Very knowledgeable of positions and subtle changes to get the most out of it. THIS IS A SIZE FRIENDLY piece of equipment, not once did I feel like I'd fall or break it. However, although the class is beginner, and it's supposed to be easier than floor Pilates, you will feel it, but it is doable. You can take a break of course if needed. They have a membership, which is a little pricey, given I believe you also need to pay a one time fee as well. They do have drop in classes for $35 though, which is nice. I paid thousands of dollars for several months of personal training plus a regular membership. First, they promised one free month for the person who referred me to the gym, and that never happened. When I tried to stop training, they forced me to pay an extra month because of a "30‑day notice" clause, that translated to an extra $642 dollars for the month. Then I had to move from Rhode Island to Texas, well beyond their own 15‑mile rule for cancellation. They asked for proof of my new address, which realistically takes time because you only get that after you've actually moved. I waited, sent the proof they requested, and now they're still demanding the remaining three months of the contract before cancelling. To me, this is a PREDATORY, SCAM ‑LIKE way of doing business. If you're considering this gym, read every line of the contract and think twice. There are many other gyms with FAIR, FLEXIBLE memberships that don't punish you when life changes. It's a shame that such a great trainer like Nick is working for such a greedy company.

I enlisted in Olympia's 12 week program with a focus on specific goals that I wanted to accomplish to help improve my core strength, hip mobility with Mike Lefebvre. Mike customized a program that has tremendously improved all my goals, increased my strength and given me more yards on my goal swing (my true goal). Always followed up with ongoing communication (great accountability here) and was very flexible if I had to change my schedule.
