Gina is a great water aerobics instructor and loves the pool and the people who take her classes. So, not a glitzy gym but a great gym for those who want to get into better shape physically and increase their cardio fitness.

I purchased 3 introductory classes and immediately fell in love with this place. I saw people from all ages and exercise levels. I signed up for a membership. Within one month I was doing exercises that I had never done before. Most of them I thought I couldn't do. But the trained staff showed me, patiently, how to do it and let me do it at my level. The class starts late, you warm up stretch, and before you know it what is suppose to be a 45 minute class is 15-20 minutes. If you count the rests in between you're lucky if you get a good 15 minute workout in. Now I perfectly understand that this is a special; however the point of specials is to get people so fired up for your gym that you'll sign up whatever the costs. Nope not the case here and I for one was very very disappointed. This is my third time doing CROSSFIT and this one for sure was my worst experience. Gave them two stars because the actual members looked like they were having a good workout. In the mean time the last time I went, I was like you can keep the money. A friend had convinced me to try out a class here with her and see what I thought. I have high anxiety in gyms where I feel extremely inadequate and as though I can't keep up with those around me. This gym however made being the new girl easy. The members and coaches here are so warm and welcoming and they all truly care about each other. There are members of all ages and abilities that are so supportive of their fellow members, cheering them on and motivating them every day. The coaches take the time to get to know their members on a personal level to learn how to best motivate you and help you succeed. Whether you are looking for competitions or just a more casual way to stay in shape, this gym is perfect. The coaches are well educated and make sure members are working out safely and to their full potential. They are also great resources when it comes to proper nutrition and stress the importance of good nutrition. Keith and Beth, the owners, have such kind hearts and go out of their way to help and support their members beyond the gym. The term family easily comes to mind when thinking about DHCF. Having been here just under a year I have definitely seen more personal results than I ever have at those gyms that are more concerned with stuffing your face full of pizza and bagels. The staff are all SO wonderful! When I initially signed up it was hectic chaos surrounding us, but the admin at the desk was the most patient, informative, sweetest soul. They all are! You can tell employees genuinely enjoy one another here and are passionate about their community. This gym might be older but overall has everything you need, plus it's clean and they make all necessary updates.
