Just signed up recently and I'm definitely a fan. A significant step up from places like 24 hour fitness while maintaining a reasonable monthly fee. All the usual dumbbells, machines, and power racks are available along with a functional strength area inclusive of sleds, rowing machines, rings, kettlebells, bands, etc. Staff including Tricia and the others have all been friendly and helpful. I also appreciate the key fob entry system that let's me come by anytime to work out regardless of the staffing hours. read more

The gym smells like wet adult diapers like a nursing home. Much of the equipment is old and in need of a tuneup or replacement. When management was approached about the smell they said the members don't like freshening scents. When approached about the dated equipment they said the members like the current equipment and don't want to change. Note the "management" were 20-somethings and the members are predominantly 50's and up. We changed to a different AF location and now drive 8 miles for better odor, newer equipment and management who cares. read more

Had to hit Long Beach from work, and I remembered this location, so I zipped on by before I had to meet up with a customer. Trying to get into the strip mall isn't too bad. No traffic lights, so do watch incoming traffic. Parked, tapped my key on their reader, and was able to walk in. Different machines than the other Anytime Fitnesses that I go to, but still relatively clean. I was there at around 7am on a weekday, and there was an employee cleaning the floors and making sure everything was clean. That's dedication. Changing and shower rooms are in the back. Yes, bathroom and shower room are connected. Good selection of weights and yoga mats. Good, clean equipment. There are TVs you can watch, as well. Clientele are a little older. Didn't really bug me, but people weren't cleaning their machines after they were done using them. Will probably be back, but only if I need to pass through that area. read more

I'm an Anytime Fitness member from Chico Ca. I used the facilities when I visited the area on January 25th I found it to be very clean. The equipment was very good and the personnel I interacted with (especially Tricia?) to be knowledgeable and very friendly. I believe I'll use it again whenever I'm in the area in the future. Great gym to take grandma and grandpa , don't be alarmed by the guy in the 1990 dodge ram van who comes in with a lady in the wheelchair that's apparently just normal for them they never workout , just enter and "shower" (they just sit in the bathroom for 30 Minutes doing nothing), he knows the managers and etc cause he folds towels, goes into the laundry room, talks to the workers and etc around the facility so he's no harm. There's a guy who works out in the morning named Joey he might annoy you and consistently ask for your number during your workout but don't worry he's no harm, if you take yoga be prepared to hear his wife answer the instructor in a (no sabo) English/Spanish response for some odd reason.You won't miss that lesbian haircut Mohawk. Website on the trainers need to be updated , If you're an athlete who boxes and want to lose in the first round get trained here by Anthony Juarez, his friends are no harm at all so don't be intimidated by his insecureness. Great 24 hour location very safe , elderly area/ retirement home folks really keep the area calm. If you work out at night don't be alarmed by the guy who drives the jeep , he just goes and walks around and does maybe 1 workout , he's no harm at all but will never stand up straight. I've been to over a dozen Anytime Fitnesses in the Southern California area and Seal Beach location is by far my favorite. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The gym is never overcrowded and they have everything that one could need for a good workout. They've done a great job of transitioning the gym to make it safe throughout the pandemic using a reservation only system and, now, having an outdoor area set up. I've never once felt unsafe and am glad that they enforce masks for any type of workout. read more

Joined just a few months now. So far, so good. Seen it get crowded recently, probably caz it's getting into summer and it's too hot to exercise outside, but usually it's pretty quiet. Equipment selection is solid. And it's roomy enough to do what u need to do. Separate class space is nice. Overall, place could benefit from more thorough attention cleaning-wise, and some upgrading, like automated hand dryers in bathrooms instead of paper towels, which are often empty (more sanitary, and saves trees!) Also probably wouldn't recommend showering in any public gym. Overall, for the price, a decent gym option! read more

This gym is as good as it gets. Generally, it's not very crowded. And even when it is, the clientele is super courteous and friendly. I've never had to wait for any equipment. They've used the space really well to provide a full range of machines, free weights, cardio equipment, and open floor space. If you can't figure out how to get a great workout at Anytime Fitness in Seal Beach, that's on you. They've provided everything you need. Note: The new management is really an improvement over the previous owner. They clearly care about the customer experience. I like the gym, just wish they had better-different equipment. I would like to see a machine dedicated to all the body parts. They do not really have a machine for the back and for lying leg curls. the arms machine must be shared for biceps & triceps... not great. It would be nice for seniors to exercise their whole body on machines only and stay away from free weights. Also I wish they just had a simple dedicated station for bench pressing & incline bench pressing. They have several cage style units which must always be adapted and a bench moved in for bench pressing, and therefore no one really uses very much. They seem to have a side room with alot of stuff , that does'nt get used very much. so they would have plenty of room to add a bench & incline bench press station which would get used alot !!!! Otherwise it is clean, and easy parking............. It is nice that it is small and you can get alot done by not haveing to walk all over like the larger gyms......Regards,,,,,,A.S. Having been a member of several clubs in the past(including LA Fitness), I have the perspective to state that this gym is exceptional in its cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, and variety of exercise equipment. Scott takes personal pride in maintaining the gym and the members buy into cleaning up after themselves. The hygienic point is carried through to restroom facilities as well. Trish is always welcoming, responsive, and professional. Nick is a well-schooled trainer with innovative routines and tremendous charisma. Other trainers seem to be more than competent. The clientele take their workouts seriously, but are also courteous and respectful of others "space". I also think the Saturday yoga class is exceptional! read more

I've been going to Anytime Fitness in Seal Beach for the past couple months, and I have to say I'm a big fan. You will always get a very clean, non-crowded, gym environment with pretty new equipment. Almost all of the cardio machines are equipped with TV's & ipod docks which is a great plus! The only negative I would give on the cardio is that they don't have any precor elypticals..which are alot better on runner's knee. They also have clean towels readily available & stock cleaning spray bottles through out the gym to wipe down for the next user. I took advantage of the 3 free training sessions during my free 2 week trial (GREAT DEAL..btw), and immediately was hooked! I train with James Cox, he's always very professional & helpful with the equipment and fitness routines he gives me. He keeps it fun & constantly changes up the fitness routines to keep me guessing. I get my butt kicked..in a good way! I definetly recommend Anytime Fitness. read more

I've been coming here since they opened 3 years ago. My favorite thing is that you never have to wait in line for a machine. Also, there's a big room with a projector where you can Yoga, Zumba, spin, with a friend or solo. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is soothing. read more

So after over a year abroad, I needed to get back to the gym, and I love Anytime, so I went back in to see about getting a membership. Somehow I managed to reactivate my old membership in the most painless process on earth. In total, it may have taken 5 minutes from start to finish. I've raved about these guys before (customer service at this particular Anytime is stellar). I can't even yet process how amazingly easy the whole thing was. I love this gym..... And I HATE gyms, all of them. Just not the person that likes working out indoors but this place is amazing. The staff is so friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to help you. Everyone has a smile on their face and greets you as you walk by. The equipment is new, I'm not savy on state of the art fancy equipment but I can tell you that they just got NEW TREADMILLS that are touchscreen and have some sort of Bluetooth hookup with apps like Netflix and iHeartRadio. The gym is fairly big for being privately owned, I can hide away in my corner and do my thing and not be in the way lol Theres plenty of bathrooms/changing rooms. A yoga studio that anyone can use. Okay, don't get me wrong. I really liked this place, but it was just odd to me. My friend is a member here, and therefore has a key to get into the place. I personally have a membership at 24 Hour Fitness and I LOVE my gym, but Anytime Fitness has a guest roster. Interesting... So my friend took me here at about 8pm. She used the key to get in and there was not a soul in there. I felt sort of uncomfortable at first, but everything was super, super clean and all the machines are like these state-of-the-art, spankin' new things. They each have an individual TV and a lot of the machines that would normally be separate are combined, and the pieces can be rotated to turn it into another machine. Like, woah. So, like I said, I really liked the place but it was kind of strange and I don't think I'd get a membership here, plus it's a little far from me for my taste. I know they have things you wear around your neck (that have a button in case you hurt yourself - it calls paramedics), but it's just so weird because the employees leave at six and there is NO ONE there. Guess that's what I get for going to a gym with a hundred people in it. So don't take my review to heart because I was just weirded out by the lack of people working out. It really is a nice facility. Oh, and the bathroom and shower are connected. Wtf? read more

After going to several gyms near Long Beach/Seal Beach, this Gym is a winner. The staff is friendly, and it's never crowded. I'd recommend seeing their in-house Physical Therapist/Trainer Matt Rice for advice, it completely changed my approach to working out for the better, and has helped to mend old sports injuries. I've been training with Scott for about a month and I am totally satisfied with the results I have so far! He's very patient and goes through the motions with you. The equipment is ok if only members cleaned it after they used it. Kind of disgusting and management doesn't seem to watch that type of thing. The roof has been leaking (new facility) and after nearly two weeks it still wasn't fixed. The first day I signed up the office personnel was extremely frustrated using the office equipment and getting very angry about the paperwork not being in its proper place,etc. bad first impression for me. Hands down, my favorite gym. The weight section is not crowded or cluttered; there's a row of cardio machines so the gym is perfect for both weight and cardio days; there's a ballet/dance room, stretching area, and big back room/section with medicine balls, exercise balls, padded weight bars, a Bosu balance board, foam rollers, bands, a punching bag, a mini rock-wall section, peg-board, rings, mini-tramp, pull-up bar, and TRX straps. In short, this gym has something for ANY workout you want to try! The variety of equipment and workout gear allows me to mix up my workouts so I'm never bored. Plus, it's close to the 405/22/605 so it's super-convenient to stop there on my way to work. The staff is friendly, the gym is clean, and the membership is really reasonable. I HIGHLY recommend this gym more than any other gyms in the area, even other Anytime Fitness gyms in that area. This is the best gym in So Cal. read more
