Music on the beach .. decided to give the restaurant a try . We were seated at a dirty table they needed to reset. Once the table was cleaned properly we then order drinks that arrived about 10 minutes later and we placed our dinner order. 1.5 hours later we still had not seen out waiter so we tracked him down and asked about our food . We were told it was coming up and would be out in 5 minutes. 25 minutes later still no food . We asked for our bar tab and told the hostess we were leaving , we did this several times and then the waiter showed up part of our order. The food was cold to touch and the sauces had congealed. We again refused the order and asked for our bill. After 5 minutes I went to the bar to ask what we owed and the waiter presented a bill that was not ours . I questioned the bartender and he agreed that was not what our tab. The owner was at the bar had an unapologetic attitude towards our negative experience. We spent over 2 hours here and truly felt ignored . It was not a positive experience and we will not be returning. On a side note the large party of 20+ people that arrived an hour after we order where enjoying there meal and 5 star service that we felt we also deserved. read more

Yummy! We got the Estrella Del Mar pizza- never had pizza with oysters on it but it works! Very good and the portion is huge. We also got the Uber (octopus) taco. It was delicious and it was probably my favorite thing we got. The octopus was tender and not chewy. Lastly, we got the guasabi (tuna, avocado, lime...) and it was great. If you want beachside dining, Estrella del Mar is one of the most popular options in La Paz. This place is so legit!!!! Indoor and outdoor seating. Inside is a little more low key. If you want to catch the game or bite, inside is great, want something a little more romantic, their outside seating is perfect. Tables are a little rustic on right on the water. Alright now the food, BEST IN TOWN!!!! Super hearty portions and I must say, try what you can and then take the rest home. The service is great too. I love when waiters/waitress/host notice things. We got a margarita and I think just with the weather it melted quite quickly. Our waiter saw and asked if we didn't like it, he had been great the entire day, joked with us, gave great options just hands down amazing, so we didn't complain. Just said yes and left it at that. He came back with 2 shots and took the margarita and said "here, take this instead" he knew our vibe. I believe his name was Daniel. Was a nice guy and actually grew up in Huntington beach. Oh my. This place. It's not good. We waited an hour for our tacos and they had a couple small pieces of fried fish on a tortilla. No slaw, sauce, etc. It was bland, unsatisfying and not filling. How is that a lunch? It's deep fried fish on a tortilla. And why did it take an hour or make? The staff was very friendly but seemed a bit frantic. The chaos surrounding us was overwhelming, only complicated by the floor under us shaking violently every time someone walked by. Don't get me started on the music. The playlist was excruciating. I'll never get this piece of my life back. And for that I have to leave this regretful review. read more

One of our favourites in La Paz for on the water restaurants! Food and service is consistently excellen!

We've eaten here several times as it's walking distance from Marina Cortez. The food is good, but we have found there isn't consistency with how it is prepared. For example, the last 2 times, my fiance ordered the pasta with the white sauce, but with shrimp only, instead of the seafood variety. The first time, the sauce was creamier and the shrimp didnt have the tails. Another time, we ordered the fish tacos that were superb, the second time, while they were still good, they were not the same or as tasty as the first time. Alex was our server tobight, whom spoke very good English and was attentive (but not annoying), helpful and friendly. Food and service is always good, but inconsistent. read more

Great open-air waterfront spot for dining or drinking next to Marina La Paz and the Malecon. Service was outstanding! Fresh fish offerings with a large variety of preparation choices and sauces.
