I am an African-American disabled Air Force Officer and I was looking to purchase a new handgun, specifically a Glock 19 or Beretta. However, I was met with immediate poor service by the staff there, in particular, David, the store owner. Not only was there a one (1) hour and a half wait to even get in, but once I did get in, none of the staff wore face masks. Further, David, the store owner, limited the number of patrons to six (6), but had no sense of urgency or concern to help customers in a timely manner. It should also be noted that I only went to this store because my friend (a white male) recommended it. Nevertheless, I was met with a combative tone and attitude by David, the store owner, who unnecessarily interjected himself into my shopping experience with snide comments. I don't usually notice or comment on the personality of salespersons, but this store owner had such a twisted and self-absorbed way of speaking that he is practically a walking case study of narcissism and self-delusion. For instance, as I was completing the state required firearm safety certificate test David, the store owner, again interjected and instructed me to move to the back of the store to complete the firearm safety certificate test even though the direct salesperson that I was working with had previously told me that I could complete the test at the counter while she went to get the gun that I was purchasing. David, the store owner, without prompting, said that he was "overruling" her instruction to me, and was now requiring that I complete the firearm safety certificate test in the other room without any explanation or rationale. In short, David, the store owner, just gave me an "order" to move even though he provided no reason for why he was requesting me to do so. It was just something that he wanted and ordered me to do just because he was the store owner. When I asked him why, David, the store owner, angrily said, "Is there a problem?!" Then before I could respond David, the store owner, demanded the firearm safety certificate test paper back and said, "We will not be selling you a firearm today." I want it to be known, that I do not write this review because I want to lambast a business owner nor do I have an issue with how a person runs his or her business. The reason I felt compelled to write this review is to inform future patrons so they know what to expect. This is the same thing that I would've done if a young airman came to me and asked for advice on what to expect at a new base and any relevant local Air Force instructions. When you patronize a store you should be well aware of who runs it and how they run it. I, for one, do not recommend that any person of color or any current active duty or retired military personnel patronize his store because he doesn't live by the same code of conduct that I dedicated my life to uphold or hold to be true. That's honesty, sincerity, honor, respect and integrity. The fact that David, the store owner, treated me differently due to the color of my skin was readily apparent in his actions and words and that I cannot respect.

I must reluctantly give a 1 star review. I say reluctantly because I am a business owner and I get how hard it can be. I am also a customer, and I was not treated right. In fact, this place was horrible. I dropped my Ruger 45 pistol off around September of 2016 for a repair. I was expecting a month or two wait and a 50-100 dollar bill. Come Christmas time I started calling to find our what was up. Three times I was told they would check and see and get back to me, but nobody ever did. The forth time I called I explained that I really needed my gun and would be willing to come pick it up and move on, no hard feelings. Once again, " I will check with the gunsmith and get back to you ". Nothing. No call. No email. So, I go in and politely ask for my gun. No problem. I got it back, but here is where it goes from too busy to deal to complete b.s. The owner, a nice enough guy, comes out and says he couldn't find the replacement part. Moreover, I would never find the part and would join the ranks of P90 owners with broken magazine release Springs and useless guns. Something did not feel right. I went and did a Internet search and found out that true, the spring was discontinued. But, in the same page of search results was an ebay link to a guy stocking Springs. Bam, before I left the parking lot I had two Springs ordered. A couple of YouTube videos later on how to replace the part I did it. The whole time I was working on the gun I was getting more and more annoyed that my gun had sat there for 4-5 months and the part was readily available. Meanwhile, the whole time I got a deranged former employee stalking me. I went to the city for a restraining order but you know what? I NEEDED my gun. Like I said, on the phone over all the calls only to be lied to. Here's the deal; if you are going good to lie, make it a good one. Or just say, I can't deal with the b.s. repair because I'm too busy making rifles and that's what pays the rent.

Had such an amazing time in your shop today! My first time in and I guarantee not the last! From making me feel comfortable asking questions about subjects I'm not yet familiar with, to walking me through what I might need based on what I described to David! Thanks again to both David and Drew for talking the time and helping me with my purchase!

Cerakoted Glock 34 frame. Tactical grey. Masked the back strap and finger grooves. Absolutely no visible bleed over.

This is long overdue (1 year?) but I just want to acknowledge how incredibly knowledgeable and…read morehelpful the "older" man working in the shoe section was as I was trying to choose shoes for a long upcoming trek. Because of him and the cashiers working at the time (who helped me with a return and a discount coupon and were very patient) I am giving this location 5 stars. This was a second visit. I only came back to the store as I had a return. My first experience was miserable. The "younger" male at the shoe area was very unhelpful, part of why I ended up with the wrong type of shoes. What was more distressful for me, though, was how he treated a very elderly gentleman who had trouble walking and putting shoes on and off. It was obviously an effort for this veteran to get into the store from his car, much less to the back of the store. (BTW, he did not appear homeless/disheveled/dirty. The clerk was quite dismissive of this man who was obviously in very very poor physical shape. I ended up helping him try shoes on (the clerk disappeared), and made suggestions the clerk should've been making for shoes that were easier to put on and walk in. Anyway, the clerk didn't seem to care about his job or the customers. I don't recall any other noticeable interactions with other staff. I had planned a 1 star rating but never got around to it. Then, my next visit I met the older clerk/manager? who was attentive, helpful, patient and everything the first clerk wasn't. So that made up for it for me. HE would've been kind to the elderly gentleman. And the rest of the staff was lovely. So I decided on 4 stars. I just hope the district managers talk to staff about kindness to all, especially for those who need it most.

They had both in stock, so located them was quick and easy, not to mention having my size. Both pairs were very affordable. The young lady at the register was very cool and helpful. The store was very well stocked and organized. They offer a good amount of parking at this location and a very good selection of shoes.

I formally express my dissatisfaction with the handling of a firearm purchase that was defective…read morestraight out of the box, and the unacceptable customer service response I received. For clarity, the timeline is as follows: The firearm was picked up on November 15. It was stored, unused, as it was intended to be a Christmas gift. The firearm was gifted on December 25 and attempted to be used for the first time on December 26, at which point it was immediately found to be non-functional. The firearm was returned to Turners on December 29, promptly after discovering the defect. This was not a case of wear, misuse, or buyer's remorse; the firearm never functioned as intended. In fact, during the return visit, the store manager personally inspected and tested the firearm and determined that the firing pin was not striking the cartridge with sufficient force, confirming that the firearm was defective. Despite this confirmed defect, I was informed that because the issue was identified ten days past the 30-day window, I would be required to pay $50 out of pocket to ship the firearm back to the manufacturer. What makes this demand particularly unreasonable is the fact that Ruger provides a free prepaid shipping label for warranty returns. Rather than assisting or advocating on behalf of your customer, Turners chose to ignore the manufacturer's established warranty process and instead imposed an unnecessary and punitive fee for a defect that existed at the time of sale. Let me be very clear: A firearm that fails immediately upon first use and is confirmed by your own manager to be mechanically defective is not a return issue. It is a defective product. Penalizing a customer for discovering a manufacturing defect days outside an arbitrary policy window, especially under normal and foreseeable circumstances such as a Christmas gift, is neither reasonable nor customer-focused. The policy, as applied here, shifts responsibility away from the retailer and onto the customer for a problem that Turners sold in non-working condition. That is unacceptable. I did not purchase a discounted or as-is item; I purchased a new firearm with the expectation that it would function properly and that the retailer would stand behind the product if it did not. What further compounds this issue is the complete lack of discretion or advocacy shown by the staff. No attempt was made to escalate the matter, no consideration was given to the fact that the firearm never worked and was confirmed to be defective, and no effort was made to resolve the situation in a fair or reasonable way. Instead, I was met with a rigid policy and told to pay $50, despite the manufacturer already offering a no-cost warranty shipping solution. Turners' reputation is built on trust, responsibility, and service--especially in an industry where safety and reliability are paramount. This experience reflects none of those values.
