We had utilized another piano tuner from Yelp before, and while he was good and professional, I found that the keys slipped a little too soon after the tuning. Granted, my parent's piano hadn't been consistently tuned so it was a bit hard at first. However, after the third consistent tuning it shouldn't slip so quickly as it did. So this time we thought, try someone else. That's how to we got to Adam. Adam was actually a little pricier than the other tuner, but I said if he tunes well, who cares? Well... who cares is right. Not only was Adam very good, the piano is still holding its tune very well - and thats with me going to town and banging out some Chopin right after he finished tuning. Last time I did that the piano seemed already off. Given that the whole family are opinionated musicians, piano tuning can be a pain but not anymore. We're going to make sure we stick with Adam and have him continue to tune for us! Excellent tuning service. Highly recommended! Getting a piano tuned at your home can be a nervous event, inviting a stranger into your house for a few hours. However, Adam was in-out and there was never an awkward moment. He was focused on tuning the whole time and I got an honest sense about him. For not knowing anything about pianos, he could have charged me the estimated $145 I agreed to pay, but didn't because he said it wasn't as much work as he originally predicted. He was also able to offer some basic knowledge about my piano and didn't push any sales on my broken keys, if anything he gave it to me straight about the potential of my piano.
