My location was complicated but when I called them to give my exact location, they were easy to get ahold of and were more than happy to accommodate. Anthony was quick and efficient and super nice!! When we got to the shop, the shop manager was impressed with how Anthony delivered the car and got it set up for them. Anthony handled all the paperwork and really just made my inconvenient situation much less horrible. They worked directly with my insurance to handle the claim, so I really didn't have to worry about anything (expect paying for new tires). read more

I was stranded in the middle of nowhere on Christmas morning at 1am. It was a scary thing. My tire blew out on the freeway on the way home from Christmas eve dinner. I found out my towing service did not carry over to my new policy. I just randomly picked the closest service that was open and got very lucky. I was sorry to disturb their holiday. The help was appreciated and kind. Thank you! I would definitely recommend. Turns out the person they sent was one of our old students in the area of town I taught in preretirement which was nowhere near the east valley area. Weird coincidence for sure. my car would be a very desirable total loss. Low mileage 2016 vehicle. This place on day 1 filed an abandoned notice for the vehicle after i was in a minor accident . Did they or didn't they know i was at the hospital for three days? probably not. Did they mention the abandoned title filing the next week when i showed up to claim items from the vehicle, no, they did not. did they jerk me around for 3 weeks while they attempted to legally steal my car? Appears the answer is yes. I would NOT use these people. there is a rot somewhere at the center of this business i suspect. as i look at all the other 1 reviews it must be a good thing police tow their cars here as nobody seems to like this place. read more

I'm not sure where to start here. I brought my RV in for an oil change and to get my main A/C looked at, which was not working. Reasonable pricing for the oil change, but not cheap. I was told they would also do an overview and inspection. Cool. I was promised they would call me later that day or the next morning at the latest. No calls that day. No calls the next day. I finally called late in the afternoon of the second day and was told they would get to it in the morning and call me. No call. I called the afternoon of the third day and was told it was almost ready and Apache Sands would send me the inspection report. What they didn't know is that six weeks ago, I had already spent $6,000 at another place getting complete maintenance done, tires, belts, etc. etc. in preparation for a long road trip. I was SHOCKED at the estimates for repairs. Here's one example: Apache Sands told me in their inspection report that I needed new spark plugs (8) and gave an estimate of $842. THE SPARK PLUGS WERE REPLACED SIX WEEKS AGO. The A/C was also serviced six weeks ago, but obviously something had broken. They gave an estimate of $3100 to fix the A/C. Something seemed fishy to me. I declined all services and told them I would just pay for the oil change. When I was checking out to pick up my RV, they tried to charge me over $700 in diagnostic fees, on top of the price for the oil change. The desk guy was polite, but I was feeling like something didn't feel right. I told them, "NO". I'll pay for the oil change, but I did not agree to any other services. I was told, "Well, that's just what we charge, and you were told this." (No, I wasn't). I didn't want to get into a back and forth, "He said/She said" so I replied, "OK, show me my signature where I agreed to pay for these diagnostic services and fees." Crickets. Finally, a manager/owner (I presume) came into the office and removed these diagnostic fees. I'm thankful for that. I understand techs and mechanics need to be paid, but my first experience here left me feeling suspicious and not likely to trust them for future services. I just moved here and live down the street. I was hopeful to have a good relationship with a local RV repair place to continue to work with, but this first experience left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Great service center for gas, propane, car wash and large bay for RV wash, vehicle maintenance and towing. Very organized, clean and friendly. This is the place to keep you on the move! I returned the next day pulling my 25 foot Airstream with tow vehicle to wash in the RV bay. The bay was so filthy dirty you did not even want to walk in it. Spray wash coin dispenser was jammed so you had to use dollars or credit card. Lack of attention to detail - I downgraded the review from 5 to 3 stars. read more

I wish these guys were better, because they seem like a good one-stop shop for RVs. they have a dump station, they have a propane fill, they sell diesel, they have a car wash big enough to fit a large RV. But, if you read enough reviews, you'll find they "forget" to reset the counter on the propane fill before they fill your tank. They did this to me, in my presence. I have been to Apache Sands to have my AC fixed 4 times now. They said it was guaranteed after charging us 2800 dollars and on 4th visit they charged an additional 280. My AC still does not work I'm actually in car now overheated, threw up and hope I can make it home without urgent care. Over 3000 dollars spent and feel very cheated. Absolutely dishonest, terrible work and UNREAL pricing for RVs. Like an idiot I keep trying them out thinking I'm going to have a different result but no.....every time they do shotty work and completely rape me on pricing. I typically spend $120 on an oil change for my RV, but since I had scheduled an appointment to have the alignment done there (there is a reason why they always have open appointments and it's not because they are good!!) I asked them to do the oil change. Charged me $270!!!!! Then called and said they couldn't do the alignment because the black tank was leaking on their worker while he was changing the oil. Well that's absolutely insane because the holding tanks are all the way at the back and the oil is done up at the front. And when I got it home the black tank was completely empty. I wish I could rate this better, but the timeliness was horrible & caused more of a headache than the help received from the tow! I called at 6:45am to have my car towed to the service center. I was told the driver would be there by 7:45am. After confirming the time frame, I called the service center to alert them of the estimated arrival time to ensure it could be repaired as scheduled- no later than 8:15am. Well, no one showed up at 7:45. By 8am, I had to call and inquire. I was told the driver was still several miles out, and it would be another 15 minutes. No explanation or apology. And the driver finally shows after 8am. Now that I've missed the appointment window that I confirmed after speaking to the dispatcher. The driver also offered 0 apology or explanation. At least he was quick to load my rig & get going to the shop... Because the driver didn't show up until well over 30 minutes past the arrival time, I missed my appointment window at the shop & ultimately had to wait until 5pm for the repairs to be finished instead of being able to pick it up on my lunch break- which ended up costing me for alternative transportation, on top of it. If towing wasn't included in my insurance policy, I'd be livid with paying for this. I don't recommend if you need timely service- especially if you have an appointment with a shop. A simple apology or explanation for being tardy would have been nice. But overall, you need to ensure you show up as scheduled, not 30+ minutes late! I don't see why it took 1.5 hours at 7am when virtually everything is shut down due to COVID-19. Rush hour traffic & high demand isn't even an excuse. My wife's vehicle was towed to the Apache Sands location in Gilbert at 1321 Pioneer St. Apparently, Tempe Police have a contract with this towing company, as the accident occurred in Tempe. My wife called today to inquire about retrieving personal property from the vehicle before it was released to the insurance company for salvage. The man who answered the phone was very rude. When we arrived at the location, we witnessed first hand just how rude and unprofessional this man (Tommy) really is, and he has zero people skills. His supervisor, Chad, witnessed his behavior and he has to know how poorly Tommy behaves. While waiting our turn to be taken to the vehicle, we spoke with 2 other parties in the parking lot who were also forced to interact with him, and they both reported the same rude experience. It's a shame, because the tow driver that took our car from the accident scene was very nice, and the individual on the golf cart who took my wife to her vehicle on the salvage lot was nice. Chad was ok, not overly impressive, but at least he was professional. Tommy has no business dealing with customers and he is tainting the reputation of the Apache Sands company. read more

AAA explained that a company isn't supposed to take a call if they'll be outside the one hour window and should shoot for 30 min or less. They took my call knowing they were too busy and left me on the side of the road at night, alone. All for more money. AAA will be noting that and I won't ever use wit services again. What a crap show. Took my car from an accident scene. Called later to get the car released to my insurance company. Took 2 hours of calling to get an answer. When I finally got a hold of someone, he was a total jerk. Very combative when I was simply asking questions about getting my car picked up. Very disappointed in the lack of basic phone and customer service. Not sure where they get their people but don't expect a friendly experience from a reasonable person. We brought our Motorhome in for an oil change, we supplied the oil and filter. A half hour job took 1 hour and 45 minutes, and that is what we were charged for in labour. They were originally going to charge just over $200. and then he remembered we supplied the oil and filter. The bill was $145. HE MUST HAVE THOUGHT WE JUST FELL OFF THE TURNIP TRUCK. The young worker took our 5 litre jug of oil and poured it into empty one litre jugs, instead of using a funnel with an extension. We watched him dilly dally around for over an hour from the waiting room. We didn't say anything because he was so young and learning, didn't want to get him in trouble. But his learning shouldn't be at our expense. It was painful. We've done this before at other locations and were charged $40-50. Today we stopped at Walmart, and for the same job/scenario they quoted us $30.!!! This place was 5 TIMES MORE. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, if we could do zero stars we would. We are senior citizen tourists, and are absolutely disgusted with this business. We were in disbelief of the bill when we left. read more

I put it in myself and took me 30 seconds in there parking lot. (I had to look it up on u tube)When I left I got a 3 page recommendations of what was wrong with my car. Had my 16 y/o car towed to Apache Sands and they quoted me a price of $2,000 to replace the muffler and said I needed a new catalytic converter. This sounded like toooooooo much. So, I had my car towed to Wade's Muffler shop in Mesa. Wade did the repair for $146 and said my catalytic converted was fine. For additional insult Apache Sands charged me $200 to do a diagnostic test on the car, or they would not release the car so it could be towed. I asked to see the report and the manager never produced one. Wades Muffler did the whole repair for less than Apache Sands charged for the diagnostics. No where to begin. I am a 25 year veteran automotive technician. Dealing with this place may cause you to suffer from PTSD. I don't know if they are rape artists or they just get off on grabbing peoples money? They definitely don't have any manners or respect for the customers that pay for the roof over their heads and the meals that they put into their body. I wouldn't bring my worst enemy's automobile to this automotive shop. They should not be in business if they don't want to give at least an ounce of respect to their customers. I paid the $267 for a tow and $67 of that was to jack my car up from the ruts that they dropped it off in. That way I could put my 2 rear wheels and tires on and get it out of their tow yard. So they ignore the fact that I just paid them $200 for a tow and they expected me to pay them another $70 just to bring some jacks out and have their mechanics jack the car up in their backyard. This is two weeks before Christmas. DNA is something you can't change for these people. I guess they're just born this way. Croooks. Service manager is about as cocky as I've seen and he can't even get his guys to come back from lunch on time. Poster board bad shop. Im a 25 year veteran auto technician. These guys were great! I had two flat tires the same exact day on two different cars! The exact same tire(rear right)! After blowing out a perfectly brand new (second tire) on the freeway, these guys showed up in 20 mins and saved the day! After the second car was towed they went and towed my first car to the garage as well.Should be done soon. I hope I dont need another tow truck but if I do then I'm calling Apache sands ! WOW, PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AND LOOK ELSEWHERE. I had a confirmed appointment for 10:00 am on a recent weekday for a tire repair on my motorhome. I arrived at 9:40 to check in and make sure it would be completed before they go to lunch for an hour which I was told twice that wouldn't be a problem. I returned at 2:00 to pick up my coach and they said it wasn't ready because they couldn't break loose the lug nuts and to soak them with penetrating oil. I told them they were removed two months prior with no problem to fix a leak on the inside duelie tire. They didn't seem to care. So, he checked and said they're working on it now and should be done in 30 minutes. I waited and hour and returned and it still wasn't done. They said they finally found the problem and it was a leaking valve stem, but they didn't have the stem. So they had to drive around and find one. How does a tire shop that services RV's and semi's not have vavle stems? Anyway they got the stem put it in and pulled it out front for me while I was paying the bill. I came out of the office and walked up to the repaired tire and could tell the pressure was low just by looking at it. Quick check of the pressure and my gauge read 90 psi, 30 psi low. WTF. So back into the office and they said what should it be at? I said you're the tire people don't you look at stamping on the tire? He said, I'll take it back into the yard and fill it properly. After waiting 15 minutes I walked into the yard and a guy was trying to fill the tire but couldn't get enough air in it. I said why not, he said 110 psi is all there compressor was putting out. I said no wonder earlier in the day they couldn't get the lugs broken loose as the compressor wasn't capable. I said I'm out of here and I'll get my own air elsewhere as you clearly are not capable of doing your job correctly or safely. Really, do they send semi-truck tires on the road under inflated? They should only be fixing bicycle tires. I finally left their facility a 4:45 pm, a whole day. My God stay as far away from this place as possible. read more
