I was referred to Gill's Auto via Facebook as my truck had broke down. Figured I would give them a shot as the reviews I read about them were impeccable! The owner Mark had called me to follow up and let me know what was going on. Once it was fixed I picked it up and took it home. Parked it in the garage and saw oil leaking. Let Mark know and he asked "where do you live". I gave him my address and he said "I'll be right there". He shows up with his wife and gets under the truck to see what's going on. After an hour or so he lets me know a mistake was made and he will have it towed to the shop. Next day he tows it to the shop, fixes it and drives it back to my residence with a full tank of gas. I ask him "what do I owe you". He replies "we made a mistake and it's on us". The best customer service I have ever experienced in my life! Mark went above and beyond to fix a mistake his mechanic made. Since then I have used him time and time again and they always do a great job (truly above and beyond) and their pricing is very reasonable! read more

Gill's did not try to oversell me and showed me what part failed and explained why. I can not thank them enough for being honest! They did an excellent job. We called up, set an appointment. They got everything done we asked! They alerted us of potential future issues but gave us timelines and when to have it re checked again. The best part, I had a fender hanging slightly off my Ford Fusion, and they reattached it without charging?!?!? I didn't ask for them to do that but they simply reattached it. I live near Tucson, but was in Gilbert running some errands. In need of an oil change, I turned to Yelp and happened upon the excellent rating of Gill's! Everyone was very nice and helpful, and very much lived up to their 5 star rating! Even after I requested a new air filter, Mark came back in and said, "Nope, you don't need it! No need to waste the money." He said it's easy to do the right thing by customers, but I think many of us can say we just don't see that often enough anymore. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend this place to anyone. These people here are amazing. I went to the Nissan dealership to get my oil changed and just an inspection to make sure everything was good. They came back, and told me I would need 5-6 thousand dollars worth of work done. I took my car to Gill's and they priced me out at a little over a grand. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Mark, the owner was so helpful. When he was looking at my car he let me come outside and he even explained things to me and showed me everything that needed fixing and everything that the other dealer told me I needed that was perfectly fine. I ended up getting a new car anyways because my car was getting a bit old but if I ever have clients or friends who need an honest and fair quote, I'll send them his way. read more

Love this shop! They handle anything, but more than that they can be trusted! When's the last time you said that about a repair shop? They even found/fixed a (minor) problem I had forgotten about. They are the old style "neighborhood mechanic " that can do almost anything, but will tell you if they feel they can't handle it. Everyone working here from the woman who answered my call in the office, to the technician working on my car, to the guy working in the back, to the owner Mark was kind and helpful to me. They fixed my AC in like 15 minutes for free! When I tried to pay they refused to take my money. It's not common to find generous, kind, and fair people in the automotive industry and I had quite frankly given up trying. The first time I had taken my car into Gills was when my car overheated and I first went to Big O Tires and they charged me $1,300. I always hated going into car shops because I feel like they could over charge me and I would have no idea. My friends recommended Gill's Auto Shop and I ended up paying $800 for the same repairs.
