Nothing good about this place - HUGE SCAMMER - WARNING - SCAMMER They've changed the name of their shop at least five times to avoid their client's reviews. I was given nothing but aftermarket parts, never given an invoice but he's having my insurance company email it to me. My coolant reservoirs were bone dry when I recieved my car, and my freon is working way under - i'm in Phoenix in the Summer and this is what I'm given back as "repaired" - they threw away my bumper with my license plate and told me it should be in the car. Everything I asked for when I returned to get them fixed was that I was the one lying and that it was "unpossible" that they let the car to give back to me. BULLSHIT - and he just gave the keys and car to someone and told them to drive it back in ten minutes to tell me it was repaired and fixed. Absolute SCAM Be warned!!! read more

Purchased a Groupon and was offered a $27 rate, after service was complete informed me they added a $22 charge for synthetic oil, no mention of it until the work was already done. Had to call and ask when my car was ready, no courtesy call. But this time I had an issue and found that the owner, Tony, is worthless and unprofessional. They broke a wheel cover during a wheel alignment and Tony refused to accept responsibility and make it right. Instead I got to hear how he was a retired auto engineer and how they are making cars so much cheaper these days and out of plastic. Blah, blah, blah. So what..Not my fault and when I brought the car in that wheel cover wasn't broke and when they gave the car back it was broke. Let me first say that I've only dealt with Tony over the phone a few times, as I'm in So. Cal. My son, who is in Mesa, Az, has a 2012 Cr-V and needed shocks, struts, alignment, & tires. Tony offered a better package for everything needed compared to the other places I called. Tony also gave my son a loaner car while he worked on his Cr-V at no charge. My son said the work was completed within the time frame given and Tony & his guys were very professional. He also said the car runs and feels like new. Due to a credit limit on my son's credit card, and me being in another state, we had to make 3 separate payments. Tony was very understanding and didn't seem to mind or get upset. I have to say after buying my first car there was a couple of maintenance things that the Nissan dealership recommended. (I didn't buy the car from Nissan I bought it from a third party dealership). It needed a 4 wheel alignment, Engine Air Filter, Cabin Air Filter, and Nissan recommended a Brake Fluid and Transmission Fluid Service. I took it to Performance Automotive and Tore Center and they were very kind honest and professional. David told me he didn't think the brake fluid nor transmission fluid needed servicing he said Nissan was just trying to make additional money, Lol. I found a coupon for the alignment on Groupon and David made it super easy to use the coupon and the service was done super fast. Three other shops I called said it would take 3-5hrs, it only took Performance 1.5hrs and it was done and driving smoother than when I drove it off the lot. Purchased a Groupon for an alignment to find out from the business that they won't align the vehicle because of broken control arms and various other issues that would cost well over $5k to fix when declined t they told me that the Groupon had already been redeemed and to bring another car in for alignment within 30 days if I chose to. After taking my vehicle to another shop to check the control arms etc they confirmed that no parts were broken or needed to be repaired and aligned the vehicle! This is a dishonest establishment and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

When I made the appointment I did not tell them I was a widow and this was my first time ever doing anything remotely car maintenance related in 30 years. Wowww!!! If you have little to no knowledge of cars and completely rely on the courtesy and professionalism of your car service provider, then this is definitely your HOUSE OF HORRORS!!! I go in for my simple quarterly oil change and I come out with a $1,000+ service whoopsie. Apparently the threads on my oil pan were "completely shredded" and the car could no longer hold oil and it would be basically undrivable. 2018 Honda Civic bought straight from dealership, no oil leaks nor previous history of oil leaks prior to today's visit. Who would think that you can come in with a car having no issues or oil leakage and only an oil change from the same shop six months prior to this visit to now having no working car??!! ...ME!!! I end up paying 1,000+ to get it fixed... on my way back home I call my brother who is a mechanic to explain what had happened. He tells me that something is not right and to ask for pictures of the vehicle and damaged parts. I call to ask for a invoice and this is what they send: Like what?!!! Are you serious, no parts charge, no service fees, no nothing there detailing what EXACTLY was going into the service and what the issue was!!!! So I immediately drive back to the shop only to be told that even though I had paid for the service, I will not be getting an "official invoice" until after the car is done. Like what?!!!! So I just paid for a service and you can't give me a receipt for what I just paid for?!!!! When I asked for pictures they couldn't get me any!!! So that got my spidey senses tinging... something is not right, so I tell them to cancel the service because I will have someone else take a look at it and if I need to I will get lawyers involved because I am not paying for damage done to the vehicle while in the hands of the shop. I ask to speak to owner of the shop and they end up replacing the oil plug. With that, I was out of the shop and the oil stopped leaking. Only problem now is that I live in fear that this issue was not solved accordingly as the shop only put a bandaid on their mistake in order to avoid paying for it. I really feel for the people that have come in here with trust to give because this shop clearly does not value that and will take full advantage of it. read more

I bought a groupon oil change for my wife's car a few weeks back. She brings it in for the oil change and a flat repair. They charged her $39 for the flat repair (which seemed high) but ok it allegedly needed 2 patches so ok. Then they charged an extra $10 for a "special oil filter that the car required" It's a Chevy Camaro not a McLaren 720S. It takes a basic non specialty filter. Overcharging because she's a woman? When I disputed and told the Mgr that I already paid for the oil change on Groupon, he said o that's bo good because you used a coupon 5 years ago. I replied that they should had told me that when I made the appointment the Mgr told his staff to get me out of there he's tired of looking at me. He told me next time go to the dealership. I was traveling from out of state when I noticed a strange clunking sound coming from my suspension. Performance Automotive was able to inspect it the same day I brought it in and diagnosed the problem straight away, which was just a pesky pebble lodged between the frame and body of my 4Runner. They performed an inspection but didn't pressure me to purchase any other services. They just removed the rock and confirmed it was the culprit, I paid them for the diagnostic and went on my way. Now, some shops might not be inclined to charge anything for that, but I was told up front that there would be a charge to put my truck on the lift and inspect, so I can't fault them for that. They also provided free shuttle service to and fro while working on my vehicle. They were nice and friendly and made me feel that I was important to them. Good job guys. read more

Their assessment of my vehicle was honest and accurate, and they even caught a bent rim I'd missed. The staff (Ike in particular) were very professional, helpful and friendly. Only because I can't give this business (that has changed owners since my prior review) a truly negative number. I have a friend who is out of work and desperately needed the car fixed. Because of my prior good experience years ago, I asked for a quote. I was careful to respectfully preface that the car would be donated for parts if the expenses were beyond the value of the car. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the man on the phone. He was extremely angry that anyone could possibly imply that the prices were less than honest. Brought the car in for the estimate. Turns out the repairs would be a little under $8,000. Decided to just donate it and move on. A short time later my husband returned from a lengthy assignment for a major aerospace industry. Turns out my husband is---- guess what?? An amazing aircraft and AUTOMOTIVE mechanic. He got it fixed for $1,200. Parts included. While we realized Performance has overhead costs....this was pure and total greed. Recently my son (who lives near Performance and has not yet taken his business elsewhere) got an quote. I think he's still laughing. He was told he needed to replace the part he'd just fixed the week before. When I asked if he told the man exactly what had already been done, my son looked at me as if I was crazy. He answered that it would have done absolutely no good: "he doesn't care." Great. I would never attempt to detract from an honest business. And even have patience with the 'less than honest' if they seem to be struggling and tempted to kind of 'tack on' a little here and there. But outright theft based on the gullibility of the customer is pretty sad when there is so much legitimate money to be made. Ugh! read more

The customer service here is non comparable to other independent shops. I always feel iffy and a little uncomfortable when I go outside my dealership mechanic but you can tell there is an honest group of guys in there. The free snacks and drinks is a nice touch for the wait. You can really tell they care about your experience. They also got my oil change earlier than promised. They texted me an inspection report 25 min in and let me know what else I might need on my car but they didn't try to force it on me like other places will.They didn't charge me labor for replacing my cabin air filter which I thought was nice since no other shop I've been to does that. Not only did they give my vehicle a full inspection and check all of the fluids, they also comped me on my oil filter that wasn't included with the Groupon price as courtesy to me. I wish there were an option to not give a single star. I purchased an oil change here again only because it is so close to my house. I call to schedule and learn that because I had been there over a year ago I would have to pay full price, and it is in the fine print. I was fine with that, until I started asking very simple questions like: what will the other costs be, and it was like pulling teeth for Randy the Manager to just tell me strait out. Come to find out after all of the aggravation this guy was causing over innocent questions it would be, 49.95 for oil change, 16.00 for 2 more quarts of oil and 10.95 for the shop fee. This guy literally raked me over the coals and then on a recorded call, asked me to come down there to discuss this transaction with him. He literally called me out to FIGHT. The guys that work there are nice enough but the BULLY MANAGER wants to fight if he gets questioned. Me, not feeling like going to jail decided to get a refund! These folks took great care of me. Found the shop on Groupon years ago and have used them for oil changes. They always snap photos if they see any other issues during the oil change. Finally took them up on their suggestion. Being a bigger job, they were nice enough to let me use the loaner vehicle while my car was getting work done. They finished within the day, but as I'm at work, I had no way to pick up my car until after the 4th of July holiday. I've had good service both times I've had oil changes here, but this time it was suggested I need a new battery. No surprise, as this is AZ and it's been a while. They were going to charge me $400! This is a Fiat 500X and it takes normal batteries! I had to ask why is it so much and never got an answer. I wrote a complaint to the business but haven't heard back yet, so I'm posting here. Bought one at Costco and had someone install it, all for $135!!! Ridiculous and I feel like maybe because I'm a woman they figured they could jack it up-absolutely done with this place. read more
