WOW, PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AND LOOK ELSEWHERE. I had a confirmed appointment for 10:00 am on a recent weekday for a tire repair on my motorhome. I arrived at 9:40 to check in and make sure it would be completed before they go to lunch for an hour which I was told twice that wouldn't be a problem. I returned at 2:00 to pick up my coach and they said it wasn't ready because they couldn't break loose the lug nuts and to soak them with penetrating oil. I told them they were removed two months prior with no problem to fix a leak on the inside duelie tire. They didn't seem to care. So, he checked and said they're working on it now and should be done in 30 minutes. I waited and hour and returned and it still wasn't done. They said they finally found the problem and it was a leaking valve stem, but they didn't have the stem. So they had to drive around and find one. How does a tire shop that services RV's and semi's not have vavle stems? Anyway they got the stem put it in and pulled it out front for me while I was paying the bill. I came out of the office and walked up to the repaired tire and could tell the pressure was low just by looking at it. Quick check of the pressure and my gauge read 90 psi, 30 psi low. WTF. So back into the office and they said what should it be at? I said you're the tire people don't you look at stamping on the tire? He said, I'll take it back into the yard and fill it properly. After waiting 15 minutes I walked into the yard and a guy was trying to fill the tire but couldn't get enough air in it. I said why not, he said 110 psi is all there compressor was putting out. I said no wonder earlier in the day they couldn't get the lugs broken loose as the compressor wasn't capable. I said I'm out of here and I'll get my own air elsewhere as you clearly are not capable of doing your job correctly or safely. Really, do they send semi-truck tires on the road under inflated? They should only be fixing bicycle tires. I finally left their facility a 4:45 pm, a whole day. My God stay as far away from this place as possible. read more

My battery died on my motorcycle. Apache provided prompt and courteous service. I was impressed with the kindness of the dispatcher and the preparedness of the driver who came to my rescue. Wife's car wouldn't start so she called the Geico roadside assistance number and they quickly dispatched a tow truck from Apache Sands. A very friendly and professional driver named BRAVO showed up in less than the 1 hour estimate and was ready to help. Bravo quickly figured out this was likely to be a bad battery and suggested she consider having the car towed to Auto Zone instead of our mechanic. When we got to Auto Zone he even went into the store and acquired a jump box and started the car with it just to make sure that really was the problem before he set the car down. This actually turned out to be a pretty good experience thanks to Bravo and Apache Sands. read more

We broke down right off the 202 and Broadway. The temp was over 105 and it was around 2pm. The driver Timm took less than 30 minutes to get to us. He brought ice cold bottles of water and gave to us. I had a terrible experience with Apache Sands, specifically with the impound center. One star is far more than what they deserve. This review is for the interaction I had with the staff on 12/15/2016 and 12/16/2016. I got into a car accident, and this company towed my car to the impound center. I was never informed beforehand of the fees associated with this service (had I known, I would've elected to use my own towing service through my insurance). But this is not the issue. I went to the center to release my car the following day. The guy who works there made it very clear that he is not interested in towing my car back to my house's parking lot. When he realized I will go ahead and pay the fees to get my car released, he became even more rude and difficult. Eventually, I was asked to pay cash, and since I didn't have the money cash, I was kicked out of the place, without any desire to do business with me, which resulted in the car staying another night and incurring more fees. I came back the following day. I received the same rude treatment. The ridiculousness in the employee's behavior was to the extent that I was given my change back in dimes...and when I asked to get quarters instead (that were laying on the desk), he refused. After releasing my car, he also refused to tow it back to my house despite having this as part of my AAA membership. My car was thrown on the side of the street, and I was told I have until the end of the day to get it out of there. Eventually, AAA had to call a different tow company to perform the service for me. Overall, this is by far the worst customer service experience I have had since I moved to Arizona. Extremely unprofessional and unreasonable. I definitely don't recommend Apache Sands to anyone, and I will make sure to go out of my way to use a different company if I needed towing services. A complaint to the BBB will be filed as well. read more

Do yourself a favor, and call ANYONE else. I have dealt with dozens of tow truck companies over the years as a paramedic on the scene of accidents/extractions, Never have I been so blow away by the rudeness and incompetence of Apache Sands Towing.. The driver, James, showed up to tow the vehicle and saw a bolt on the ground. So his opening statement was "I'm not towing this." I explained that the bolt was to hold the negative battery cable, which I had disconnected for safety. He contrinued to argue saying it might be something else, ie- Calling me a liar. He refused to listen to reason, I asked for a supervisor, he refused. James turned around, got in his truck, and drove away. Called the supervisor, who informed me their drivers can do whatever they want, and they have no control over them. I am a Firefighter/medic and my wife is a nurse, I can't believe they can treat public servants like this. Just avoid this place, use anyone else. ZERO stars. read more

This is for the Uhaul part of the store. I arrived on Saturday about 30 minutes early to pick up my Uhaul truck for a move. The guy said my truck wasn't there yet but I was early so I said I would wait. As soon as I sat down, I heard him call the previous person who had my soon to be truck and asked her when it would be back and reminded her that she was supposed to have turned it in already. The person apparently said she wasn't brigining it back any time soon. Rather than me having to argue which you usually do when something doesn't go right, he fixed it. He told me I could have the larger truck for the same price plus discounted the gas/miles charges. No argument, no trying to worm his way out of it, just good customer service. He fixed it and made it worth my while for the inconvienience. I returned it to the drop box yesterday when they were closed and had an emailed invoice to me this morning bright and early. Great customer service. They even called when they got my rental information when I booked it online and confirmed. read more

Watch out for these guys. Don't trust thI called AAA and they showed up for them. I needed a new battery and they replaced it. They failed to tell me that my alternator was bad until after the new battery was sold and installed. If I had known that, I would have had it towed to where I bought the battery from and for a warranty replacement. I called AAA and Apache Sands after the incident. Apache sands never called me back. AAA was no help either. Very disappointed in both. One is the lowest rating you can give. Good for them. It took me a few weeks to respond to Apache Sands. I gave them my contact information to the address they provided. Never heard anything back. read more

I am currently on the phone with Cadillac Warranty support for the third time today.... this call is at 10:41 pm and they are transferring me to escalations. They are sending me to escalations because when I originally called in to warranty support they ordered a tow from Apache Sands Service Center. The tow was confirmed by text to me, with them arriving at 7:32 pm give or take 10 minutes is how the text reads. 8:23 pm I call Apache Sands, A young lady answers the phone and we determine in about 2 minutes that they have no idea about a tow scheduled. Ok, so I asked if she would call their vendor partner Cadillac Warranty and clear the issue up..long pause, then no she cant do that. Fair enough, I will call Cadillac and see where the issue lies... Cadillac - We sent a fax with confirmation to Apache Sands, let me call them please hold................sniffle.......... Their fax machine was not working correctly so I [this is the Cadillac rep speaking] stayed on the line with them and confirmed they received the fax. They will be there within 1 hour. Call ended at 8:32pm 9:55 pm I call Cadillac Warranty - Tell story again ( by the way retelling the story starts getting old and then I choose to tell it again here so others do not suffer!) I say please cancel the tow company from coming out to my home tonight, it is too late we need to go to sleep. I was placed on hold for a minute or two, the Cadillac rep came on the line and said they said they did not have a record of the tow ( I couldn't help but let a smile crack) She also informed me they did not seem to give it much concern. Transferred to escalations... Just hung up, great conversation with Cadillac, their whole crew was really customer service focused. I do understand small business is rough however this low level service noted throughout multiple years it seems makes me wonder how long a tow company can operate at that level and survive.... read more

CUSTOMERS BEWARE. My car broke down and was towed here. The next morning when I called to see what happed. The Mechanic said it would cost $5000.00 to fix. I said I might as well scrap it..HE said I have a fire fighter friend who will give you $50 to use as a burn car. I called my Mechanic in Phx and he said get your car out of there and tow it to me. My car is running like new. It cost $900.00 It was the A/C Clutch ONLY. He said "What a SCAM" You should turn them in. Mitchell runs the front office and has to be The RUDEST Person in Service I've ever encountered. She would not answer any questions about where my car was. She was Impatient and Mad and said "I told u the tow will take ur car to Phx, u did not have to be here" I said " I'm stuck in Mesa and need a ride to Phx". She turned and walked away from me. There were no chairs in the front so I waited outside in 32% cold Weather. A guy came up to me an hour later and said we have a waiting room hidden in the back inside, Sorry Mitchell didn't let you know. BE WARNED! read more

Called to confirm that the self-service car wash could be used for RV. NO ANSWER to several attempts. Then because the rig was filthy, I decided to go anyway. Got there fine but they have only one RV slot and the over head hoses caught on the air conditioner. After 15 mins of back-and-forth we went to buy tokens. Can't buy with credit card and the personnel informed us that we need to buy TOKENS with 1 or 5 dollar bills only. Asked for help but no one was interesed. Left with a dirty 5th wheel and will use a local mobil cleaning service. read more

*****update, after reporting to BBB, they gave me a refund and picked up the battery- I'm still out the TWO+ HOURS and the 2 $20 bills I gave the Good Samaritans for doing Apache Sands work. NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS- WORST SERVICE & CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. 2 hours to change my battery at the gas station. He Lost a 5" bolt in my engine. Spent 20 minutes looking for the bolt before he told me what happened. Took the battery in and out of the car at least 7 times scratched my fender in the process. Lucky for me (and your clueless employee) a few good samaritans had a great idea, so they jacked up my car took off the wheel, retrieved the bolt, put the wheel back on. Your "mechanic" still couldn't get the battery bracket on- so the good samaritans also assembled the battery bracket. 2 hours. I asked for a discount and he said I should be glad he didn't have to charge me the 2 hours "labor" - which I think he meant "standing there watching the Good Samaritans at work" and that usually he has to charge a "jack fee". My jaw dropped, I replied- "Seriously- for your mistake?" I am extremely unhappy and CANNOT BELIEVE that I was charged $170. Please review this situation and offer me some type of reimbursement. I had two children with me- who needed to pack for a trip. I will be waiting for your reply. Next I will contact the BBB. read more

Worst service ever - I called Geico for a jump start and they sent me a confirmation that the Apache sands guys will be here in 60minutes. After waiting for 75 minutes, called the provider (Apache sands) and they told me they will be here in another 30 minutes - it's been two hours now and no one has showed up. Not the first time this has happend - had expect same experience last year for similar problem. Next time I call Geico for emergency service, will make sure it's not these guys. read more

I went for an oil change because I had a coupon, called, made an appointment with no trouble. When I arrived, Randy greeted me and was very friendly, he said it would be about 30-45 minutes. Having been to a multitude of other service shops that always say that (and take much longer) I was prepared to wait it out for a while. My car was done in 25 minutes, granted I still had to pay so my total time there was about 35 minutes. I was very excited about this! I was told two things that were recommended to be done on my car but did not feel pressured to have the services performed right then and there or to schedule right away. I greatly appreciated the information and education they provided me in what I needed done. That in itself made me want come back! Great service!! There was a large waiting room with 2 couches, regular chairs and a rocking chair, with separate mens & women's bathrooms (although I did not go into the bathroom). Based on being a first time customer, Apache Sands gave a great first impression and I plan to return for future services!! Hopefully the next visits I have are just as good as this one! read more

Worst service ever. Will NEVER bring another vehicle here or recommend. I was totally overcharged for parts (200% markup) along with being lied to. They charged me $75 to install a hose that literally took about a minute to put on and didn't even require tools. I'm worst off than when I started because I'm not sure they even did the work they claimed so I have to do it myself anyways. This is exactly why people don't trust mechanic's. read more

Horrible people, horrible service! Do not trust with your car! The water pump pully broke on my car so I called my roadside assistance. Tow truck driver broke my car's oil pan. At first they promised to pay for the damages and now they say my car was already leaking oil. Ron the so called manager is a liar and now they don't want to pay for damages. I called the owner Brian and he says he won't be held liable for the damages they caused. These people are crooks. Stay away! What should have cost me $50 to repair will now cost me thousands because of these scam artists. read more

Terrible experience. Would not recommend. Either they are racist or they like making things difficult for people and try to use any excuse to hold your car hostage to charge you more. I came here to pick up my car that someone else was driving who had some legal trouble. The car was towed on Saturday morning 3/28/20 when I called Saturday the guy who answered said it was 85 for the tow and 15 dollars per day after that. I had to go to the police department to get a release letter because I am the owner but I wasn't driving the vehicle so I had to wait until Monday. On Monday 3/30/20 I arrive to this place, the guy is incredibly condescending and lacks any kind of moral empathy for another human being. Just terrible customer service. He tells me the total is 180.00 after they told me a different price on Saturday. Doesn't even apologize. Then when my brother comes in to pay he tells us he can't accept his card because my brothers legal name has a jr at the end and his debit card does not. He literally looked straight at us and said I can't take your card because this is your father's card. I was dumbfounded. It was my brothers card. All of his debit cards are like that. My brother has never had that issue before, he works at Chase and this is not a thing. Such a disgusting interaction with another human being. We were completely respectful he had no reason to deny my brothers own card we looked it up afterwards and banks do not always put the person's Full Legal name on the card. The way this guy handled our interaction leaves me with no choice but to assume that he is racist. I would never come here again and will never recommend this place. I did not come here by choice. Someone else was using my car and was involved with the police. I had to get my car so I could sell it and not pay the daily fee they charge. Sorry I am not white but I am also an American citizen and being rude to me and discriminating will not make me go away. Nobody chooses who they are born to. Extremely disappointed with this business. Not only are they inconsiderate but act like it's a burden for them to have to deal with people that want their belongs out of their own vehicle. Here is the story parents were in a bad car accident and this is where the car was towed. Upon arrival all they told us was one person back at a time and the golf cart would pick you up. The golf cart came and picked me up took me to the vehicle to gather belongs. As I am trying to get items out of the vehicle the guy let's me know I am almost out of time. What a time limit to get my parents belongs out of their vehicle. They were just in a horrible accident and can't move so I am trying to get their things but guess that doesn't matter. Yes to be exact 10 mins I guess which is not a long time as you are trying to get into a car that has been smashed and glass everywhere and trying to get things that are sandwiched into places and you can't even grab them out because the impact from the crash was that bad. While trying not to cut yourself on all the glass in the car. I could understand if we didn't pay a bill and the car had been impounded but this a accident. A little bit of compassion and a little more time would have gone a long way. read more

Don't use Apache Sands. They held the car a hostage to collect extra storage fee. After the accident, the car was held by them for 12 days and they gave State Farm many excuses not to release the vehicle. It was a nightmare. read more

Dustin Hunter #87 was amazing! He was knowledgeable and friendly and helped to de-stress my situation. My location was one of those places where GPRS maps don't lead to the exact site and I was amongst a ton of other office buildings and hotels. Rather than just submitting his location for AAA to notify me with the "arrived and would wait 5 min"- he called and clarified directions. He had to take the wheel off my car due to the weird model design( something I had no idea of) but he kept up a friendly conversation helping me to relax. He arrived on time, as indicated by his enroute text alert to me, and within the response time given to me by AAA. Minus stars for their towing office. My son was pulled over and my car was impounded. We got the release from the Mesa PD and there was a mistake with one number recorded for my VIN#. I understood there might be a legal issue when Matthew said he couldn't process the request. I contacted the police dept. and we found that the DMV has entered my VIN incorrectly in the system. Mesa PD was kind enough to fax over the paperwork enabling the release of my car. When we returned to the office, my total was ~$70. Matthew would not give me $30 change from a $100 bill. We had to go out for another 15 minutes to find a place to make change. When we returned for the third time, I said his customer service is lacking to which he asked if I was there by choice.
