I've taken my daughters car here 3 times for different problems (she decided to go car shopping for the first time by herself). The first time was after she went to brakes plus on the suggestion of the dealership and 3 days later had no breaks. I worked with eric on a plan to keep the car on the road without over doing it. The cost was't easy to take but necessary. Eric was honest about the minimum milestone work that needed to be done at 200,000 miles. The car might not resale for what I spent, but we have a car that's now reliable.and will go for another 150k. No one likes costly repairs, especially when things go wrong all at once. But all the work that Eric and the crew has done, has never had an issue. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! I took my Toyota Tacoma here to get my engine with a blown rod to get taken out and replaced. When I picked my vehicle up, I popped the hood after I started it up in the parking lot to check things out and I immediately saw that the cap for the coolant reserve was missing. So, I went in and told the guy at the desk, Tim, if they just forgot to put it on and he very confidently said that it was missing when I brought it in. On my drive home, I also realized that the Air Conditioning wasn't blowing cold which it was when I dropped it off. When I got home I popped the hood again and also found that the cover for the fuse box was missing and fender was super scratched up on the passenger side (where they were bending over to work in the engine bay). I picked my truck up Thursday fast forward to Saturday I'm driving and not only does the maintenance light come on so does the check engine light. I take the truck back to the shop because of the warranty. I told him all the issues that it had including no AC, scratched fender, missing coolant reserve cap and cover, and dash lights and once again Tim reassured me that all of those things were like that when I brought the vehicle in. Luckily before I had the truck towed to Choice Transmission I took a video of the engine bay and front of the vehicle. I showed him the videos showing that it was all there and that's when he decided that they would take care of it (I caught him blatantly lying to my face and he knew it). I picked the truck up and he replaced the caps and they did the best they could to buff out the scratches but they were still very much visible. Throughout the next month the check engine light turned on not once, not twice, not three times, but FOUR TIMES. I understand if it turns on once or maybe twice because a motor swap is a big job but this was ridiculous. Before I took it in the fourth time, I bought a kit to swap out the condenser, compressor, and when I was swapping the parts out I noticed they didn't even plug the compressor back in and that was the issue for the AC not working. Anyways, these guys are a bunch of dishonest, lying, lazy, and rude individuals. Do not take your vehicle here! read more

About 18 months ago, around October of 2022, i brought my suburban in to have the 4L60 rebuilt with choice. Tim sold me on upgrading the internals so it would be more stout. Over the next 12 months i had about 6 Pan gasket leaks, with flaring and slippage issues. They replaced parts here and there, but never believed me because they couldn't get it to duplicate the problem, but they also never took it out and drive it for more then 5-10 minutes. I finally picked it i one morning and drove it to duplicate the problem and brought it back to them on my time. By this time the transmission has been pulled and "rebuilt" 2-3 times and the gasket has been replaced about 6 times. After the third rebuild the transmission grenaded leaving my stranded on the side of the road. After this incident they started with a fresh core supposedly. 6000 miles later it was slipping from 2-3 and missing its shift Point from 3-4 . Then it started leaking and getting fluid on the main connector which is what Tim blamed the problem on. They fixed the leak and low and behold 30 minutes into my drive home 2-3 started slipping and 3-4 had a lengthening shift point. I spoke with Tim who said they did not drive it long enough to duplicate the problem, then proceeded to gas light me because i made him feel bad because this is my daily driver and they are wasting my time and money. He advised me my truck is the only one with issues ever and it must be something with my truck. He also told me that he would be ok with this as a customer because they are doing everything they can. He acted as if he was doing me a favor by getting my truck in, even though i have paid well over 4000$. I have a 3 year warranty and have had no longer then 6 months of consistency with the transmission. Do not use choice transmission unless you want to risk sub par work and even worst customer service. read more

I was having problems with my transmission so I took it in with a coupon for a tune up. The problem I was having with the transmission was more than a tune up. The owner Jason which is the person that greeted me. Told me what my issue was and that he wasn't going to charge me for the tune up ( BTW I knew what was wrong with my car I just wanted to see if they did and would be honest about it) because there would be a tune up with the repair to the transmission. Brought in my vehicle for a clutch repair and I left with a huge exhaust leak, a check engine light related to it, and an ugly weld job on part of my exhaust. Tim Eversol is a real piece of work, even threatened me with sending his poor mechanic after me if I failed to pay. Take the advice Tim gave me himself and have another mechanic service or repair your vehicle. He said it in regard to the damage his shop caused to my exhaust, but I'll take it as admitting they are completely unqualified and will take advantage of you as soon as you cut the check. I'm disputing the charges with my bank so I can get the damage they caused my car to be repaired by a real professional. read more

Their warranties on transmission rebuilds and parts replacement are fair and they can attend to any other issue you have on your vehicle. Not to mention normal oil changes are a pretty fair price also! Beware. They have had some sort of theft problem. Not sure if issue is still going on. Read on. Normally, I wouldn't let that affect a yelp review about their services, but actually it's a big issue because of the way they handled it. I was given a call the morning my car was ready and asked if I had removed the (new) battery from my car overnight. The reason was that someone has stolen the battery, but they wanted to wait until *after* they did the work to let me know. Red flag 1. I called a policeman to file a report. At this point, the owner (Jason) was *not* surprised by the event. He explained to the policeman and me that there has been a string of thefts and break-ins recently. I asked why he didn't lock the car, if there was a string of break-ins. **They don't lock the cars in their lots, he responded -- even overnight** Red flag 2. Even with the recently stolen property, they still don't lock cars? If this is an issue, why did he not tell me so *I* could lock the car or move it? Red flag 3. Finally, and the one that ticks me off the most is that he has property insurance which **should** pay for the stolen goods. Instead, I was asked to pay for it. My insurance company contacted him to ask for his insurance (to reimburse me) and he flatly refused to tell them his insurance info and no longer answered my insurance claims agent's emails and calls. Red flag 4. TL;DR (Too long, didn't read): According to the owner, they have regular theft problems, but don't lock the cars nor tell their customers. In fact, in my case they didn't even tell me my new battery was stolen until *after* they were done servicing the car. And when it was stolen, it was up to **the customer** to buy another. The owner said her truck needed the following replaced rear brake shoes, drums and hardware for $712.45. My husband and I talked, and yeah it seemed strange! I was able to take the truck to my mechanic, and didn't say we were requesting a second opinion, and after they checked the truck they said that nothing was wrong! Beware of the scam! These are the type of people who give auto repair shops a bad name. Bring in the Explorer to the guy's shop. At first, they seemed nice and had an idea of what the hell they were doing. EEEEEE no. They are complete idiots and like to scam people for their money. We get a smell of something fishy with their quote so decide to call AAMCO to see what's up. AAMCO told us that they were trying to scam us and we need to get it out of their shop regardless. They tell us it will be $350 for them to take the transmission apart which is fine. We get to their shop and they want to charge us double. Umm no, sketchy part 2. This is where it becomes really really annoying and sketchy part #3. I get in the place after they say they will not charge my credit card over the phone. I go in and their machine keeps declining my credit card that I just put gas on it. Umm no, so I try my other 3 cards including my company business card. None of them work. They continue to tell me that it was because I can't pay my credit cards that it is being declined. Using some choice words to tell me I am scum. They try to then take my card and type it in. Still decided after 20 minutes. I threaten to call the cops and was on the phone when suddenly my card that they said I don't pay off magically worked. WOW crazy what calling the cops does. We get a tow truck to bring the car to our friend's shop to get it fixed. The tow truck guy gets there and they wouldn't help him put any of the parts that they took it apart and charged us for. Long story short, they are scammers and try to steal thousands from people. We get quoted 2 grand less from another shop. I hope to have a better experience at the next shop. Jason, the owner of the shop is a quality mechanic! He also heads up a program through Mission church called TLCC a.k.a. Tender Loving Car Care where single mothers and widows are able to bring their cars for a FULL inspection and free oil change every 3 months or so. He does this as a volunteer service project for the women of the community who do not normally have the ability to have these things done for their vehicles. They have taken care of my car on several occasions always giving me a good price and never more than what I need to get my kids around safely! read more

As I looked back at some of the shop members you could just see a sense of pride in their eye's of another job done right. I hate to even give one star. I was going to keep my car because it was in such good condition. I needed to have brakes and shocks replaced but that was it. Two weeks later a bolt fell off one of the shocks. I took it back in to have it repaired and then a couple weeks later my brakes started to sound like grinding metal. I took it in several more times and they told me it was fine. The grinding continued so I called to have them look at my car and they would never call me back. I finally took it to another repair shop and they found the drum to be over max spec.. read more

I limped it in to several shops that told me it needed to be re-built or replaced. My experience with Choice Transmission: My transmission has never shifted better in the 25 years I've owned my truck. (4 transmissions total) I thought I just had a valve body issue but apparantly my transmission casing was cracked too. The price for a total rebuild was pretty good (competitive). An exhaust stud was broken during installation and I had to return and be adamant that it was broken at their shop. Jason had them jump on it and fix it right away, and clean off the grease that was tracked on the carpet and smudged on fender, ...the door, ...and handle.
