I recently had my Porsche vandalized and was recommended to this shop through a Facebook Porsche group. They did a phenomenal job! Randy, who I believe is the owner, is very conservative in what work needs to be done while still ensuring everything looks perfect, and his shop runs a very fair business in terms of value. It was a difficult personal time for me while having these repairs, and I was met with much consideration, even when I was getting impatient. Go here! They are super wonderful and are honest and fair. My drivers side door handle came off and they provided me with a fix until I could order the parts, taught me how to install it and fix it myself, and helped me figure out what to order and where so it wasn't for the expensive price the dealership itself demanded. They didn't charge me for that and didn't have to take the time out of their day to teach me, but they did anyways. If you have big damages they are so worth putting your trust in. Had an accident with my 2013 Jeep Rubicon and after posting some recommendations in a local car group and a few people recommended Apex Auto Body and they were just a few blocks form my house so I gave them a call and Jamie quickly scheduled me for an estimate with Randy . After meeting with Randy he quickly got me an estimate to submit to Insurance. After getting approval from insurance I scheduled a time to drop my Jeep off which was about 6 weeks out I had asked Jamie to give me a call if any spots opened up , which she did just a few days later I was able to drop the car off the next week . Randy was great with communication even if my insurance adjuster was not and had my car finished very quickly and looking better than when I bought it . Randy even did some extra work removing some surface rust and cleaning up some prior blemishes as well as completing some extra work I requested I can't recommend Apex Auto Body enough read more

I made an appointment yesterday to have our front bumper looked at as we got hit while parked downtown and to my surprise, they were able to look at our car the following day! After they looked at the bumper, they were able to have the it buffed immediately and you wouldn't know damage was there unless you knew it had been hit! Very impressed with their customer service and highly recommend as it was a $56 repair versus a $600 repair! read more

Apex just went from 5 stars to one. They fixed a previous car Of mine and was completely satisfied. I was hit in an intersection and what should have been a "Total" loss, the insurance chose to have it repaired. I brought my car back here at Apex in hopes I would have another great experience. It has been almost 5 months since the accident, and still my car is not completed. A wheel that was supposed to be replaced with a refurbished one, is still "missing". Insurance had paid for a refurbished one, but I never got one. I was told this whole entire project would be 2 weeks of work; no It was almost 2 and a half months in unfinished work and I am just beyond frustrated. They gave me back my Car without my spare tire, rattling of my back speakers and trunk because it needed disassembling, another new door was put on my car and the inside of the door was scratched and not painted. I had to bring it back to Apex where Apex had to replace a scratched window that was made by them when they had to replace the door and had to have the window tinted. I waited for my car For another few days and was called to come pick up my finished car. I arrived, The owner of Apex, Randy, nor my vehicle was there. It was tinted a wrong color, so they needed to redo it, so I waited longer. When I got my car back.... the tint is still wrong and I'm without a paid refurbished rim. I bought Randy a bottle of Makers Mark to show gratitude for his willingness to fix this and make my experience right , he accepted. And you STILL haven't contacted me about my already paid for Refurbished rim. If one make promises to your customers, one should stick to that obligation and deliver. Never tell your customers that "you're too busy" to call them back or "we have been slammed". That is not your customers problem. If the damage on my car was out of your shops competency to fix what needed to be fixed the first time, Apex should have never taken it in the first place. Sorry Randy, it's been a month since I last heard from you (u said you would call me back in a couple of days). That's why I updated my review from 5 stars to 1. I feel Apex thought if they ignored me long enough, I would just go away. You're right. I will stay away and not recommend this shop ‍ read more

I had some work done years ago on a special car here and it went as expected. Recently I took the same car back and instead of the two weeks I was told it took 3 months. It surpassed even my patience. To top it off they were rude when I asked why it was taking so long. No parts were needed. In the end I think they liked having my car there because it makes them look good and brings in business. Even the third time they told me it was ready they were still doing touch ups. The prior times they had not even done the work we agreed on. I would look elsewhere. I think they used to be good but have let it go to their heads. read more

After a moment of being dumb and backing my vehicle into a concrete pillar, I took it to Apex. Randy kept me in the loop through the whole process, and worked with my insurance company to make the whole thing pretty painless. Meh. Paint looks ok. And just ok. Orange peel doesn't match the factory finish, but I am clearly in the wrong for thinking so. I thought it was obvious the second I saw it, but now I guess I'll have to live with it forever since it didn't seem to be up for discussion. Also, I would think if the shop has to disassemble the interior to do their work, they'd wipe it down and clean it up a little when they were done. I had to make two trips back to the shop (and should have made a third) to get my seatbelt looked at, to get paint overspray removed from the interior of the passenger window, and to get vinyl damage on the door looked at (which will be fixed by a 3rd party). When the response is always "let us know if you find anything," I'm a little put off. How about you all take the time to see if the car is properly put together before giving it back to the customer? I spent at least a couple hours detailing the interior after I picked up my car, scraping off paint overspray, removing adhesives from who knows what, and wiping up general dust and dirt. read more

It's hard for me to review this place! Here's why; I came here to get a factory accessory added to my car! I didn't want to pay the exorbitant amount the dealership wanted to charge me so I shopped around. Randy stated that they don't normally do that because their a auto body 'repair' shop. Not really a place to add body accessories. He stressed that if it was a body kit it'd be a no go, but since its a VW genuine body accessory they'll make an exception. Not only that Randy gave me a killer price because he was feeling generous that day. I mean he under cut the dealerships price by $650!!! He showed me some serious customer service that day. Now for the bad and why I give it two stars... The install was bad! I went back and they attempted to fix it by painting it but that just made it worse in time. I went back again and they had no choice but to touch up the paint. Like the first time the paint started cracking and flaking off. Making it look bad. I went back again a little more frustrated than I've ever been. They needed the car for at least a day he said. Fine, came back and it look like they just painted it again but he said they made some adjustments and it should be good. Well about one month later I noticed my bumper was loose! WTF! At this point I was done dealing with them. I took t somewhere else and they "righted" all the wrongs that Apex did to my car. I blame myself, the signs were there. He said this isn't normally what they do, I paid a crazy good price (get what you pay for) and at the end of the day I can't recommend them. My experience wasn't the best but that doesn't mean this place isn't good. My review is based on my experience alone and doesn't reflect the companies general performance. Apex Auto Body, and David Imes are outstanding. I am a knowledgeable, savvy, and enthusiastic Porsche owner and there are very few body shops that meet MY exceeding standards. I am a factory trained Audi technician and work in the automotive industry. I can say with confidence that the quality of work from Dave and his crew are second to none. On any given day they are working on cars that have been shipped in from out of state ( Hawaii), and even out of the country ( Belgium ).... I got a collision estimate done here after an accident. They got my Jeep in quickly and easily, but most importantly, they were extremely trustworthy and compassionate. I trusted them more than I trusted my own car insurance, and I absolutely feel they were looking out for my best interest. It turned out my car was totaled so I didn't end up using Apex for any repairs, but I would definitely go here in the future. read more

I wish there was an option to leave 0 stars.. hands down the worst company I have ever had to deal with. From the start the customer service was terrible and the communication skills are horrible. Robert, one of the managers is an absolute joke. Terrible customer service and even yelled and cursed at us for trying to hold him accountable for them screwing up on the work they did to our car. Not only did they not complete the project and get our car back to the way it was, before the accident, they damaged parts of the car that should have never been touched. They burnt our paint and then continued to cover it with the clear coat instead of fixing it. When we brought the car back for the improperly installed headlight, we asked that the paint be fixed. The entire front drivers side was scratched, Robert decided to throw a tantrum and cuss at us. I have never had to deal with someone so unprofessional. Not to forget that they never reattached the front end of the car. We had to get an oil change and the mechanic told us that the entire front end is missing 14 screws and clips. Will be contacting the better business bureau, in hopes of this place being held accountable for the poor work they overcharge for. I highly suggest never stepping foot in such an awful establishment, especially if you want quality work done and your vehicle to be safe to drive.. read more

THIS IS A WARNING TO FUTURE APEX AUTOMOTIVE CUSTOMERS: Reading this will save you a ton of time and money instead of giving you well deserved business to this sketchy family run car dealership. Jeff Schnase is a two faced car dealer ( go figure), he gets his shady "car guy" to barely fix up cars so that they can drive off the lot then crap out. When Jeff sold me my car with a broken windshield he said if I bought it he would fix it, and after only 4 times of his "car guy" not showing up, he did get it fixed 2 weeks later... This first time I waited for my title to get back to me after sending it to Jeff, I waited for about a month, then called him and he said "he already gave me one", forgetting I sent him it back to get it signed. But 3 months later and 5 visits to the DMV (each 30 minutes long), I still don't have a legitimate title for my car and it remains to be unregistered. I've had to get the temporary license plates extended, and after 2 times of sending my title to Jeff I'm hoping he will actually sign off on where he was initially supposed to, finally settling this awful car buying experience with Apex Automotive Sales. read more

We finally are taking the car to the dealer who has agreed to bill them for their poor service. I would never recommend this company and I would stay far away! read more

I got my first, nice, car and it was devastated by hail during the summer. I was so bummed and had no idea where to go or how to handle the repairs. Apex Auto took THE BEST care of me. My poor car needed $12k+ of repairs and Apex handled all of it. They are honest and their work is incredible. It is tough to find a great car repair shop that is honest and that will take 100% care of you. Apex is that place! Randy is the nicest guy ever and kept me updated on my repairs as well as communicated directly with my insurance for me. I got my car back and she looks so great! However, I wanted to take the time and respond to you because it's important to us that you are unhappy. I was unaware of the poor review until recently. I do however remember your particular case and I wanted to respond. Although, our company does have an overall great impression on people as we do try to do our best, there are times where we lack in our responsibilities. Eventhough you had a poor experience with us I wanted to take this time to say that we apologize for the experience you had and would like the opportunity to make it up to you if it should ever present itself in the future. I understand that even after giving you gas money for the inconvenienced trip from boulder, it obviously wasn't the problem solver no matter the outcome... it was important for me to let you know that you were and are important and we wish we could have done a better job for you. We make mistakes and are not perfect but we do care. Respectfully, - Randy" I understand that everyone makes mistakes and sometimes crap happens, I'm a reasonable person and gave them a chance to make it all right. It doesn't change the fact that when I did call to tell him I needed a tow hitch cover and the other various items fixed, I was expecting him to acknowledge the mistakes and make them right. What I didn't tell you before was that Randy actually laughed at me when I told him there was paint on my back window and that there were crumbs in my backseat and told me that "mistakes happen" and his guys don't speak English (to read the warning lights on the car). If he had resolved the issue without laughing at me and making excuses then I'm sure I would have been a satisfied customer. Please consider these guys for your next repair job. The front bumper of my 98 Subaru was hanging off and, previous to Apex, I checked with 3 other repair shops, all of whom said it would need to be replaced, and one of whom didn't identify the headlamp as being cracked and also needing replacement. Within minutes, Randy identified that the bumper could be salvaged--saving me hundreds--as well as the headlamp. He gave me the lowest quote, and you know what that means! Or do you? The repairs took exactly as long as they estimated, and the final cost--spot on. They were courteous throughout as well. An entirely satisfactory experience. read more

They did all of the necessary repairs on my vehicle. I get my car back, and the soft top is all jacked up. Driving around with it like this put a hole in it. I return to the shop as soon as I have time, and Robert swears up and down that they didn't do anything with my top, so it had to have been like that, despite my disagreeance, but says he'll have his guy look at it. As soon as his guy comes out, he apologizes for his oversight, and not reinstalling it the correct way, after he removed it to do the work. A couple of weeks later, I notice my headlight/fog light aren't working, which they had "repaired." I call to get an appointment to bring it in, and Robert says to just "drop by anytime." So, I show up at 12:05 and he takes my keys, only to return 20 minutes later to tell me that everyone is at lunch. He basically told me it was my fault for coming at that time and suggested I come back some other time. 1) This is why I tried to make a damn appointment. 2) I had to sit there for 20 minutes before you could tell me this?! I had to leave at 1:15, so at 1 Robert pulls my car back and returns 10 minutes later, with my car wreaking of cigarettes and some excuse about not finding the problem. I'd be surprise if anyone even actually looked at it. We'll see how this turns out, seeing as how they already got paid for this work, but if it's anything like the customer service or work they've done thus far, I shouldn't expect much. read more

I just called to ask for information on getting some rust removal/repair on a newer truck that is from the east coast and has quite a bit of rust. The women starts off by telling me they do rust repair for older vehicles and then puts me on hold to see if they can help out with a situation like mine. She comes back online and tells me to go to a dealership as they only do body work. I tried to get a little more information about why they don't do this type of work, etc. out of curiosity (as it seems like body work to me) and she proceeded to hang up on me. These guys are amazing. First a 2004 WRX STi with hail damage. They fixed it in less time and worked with insurance to make sure it was fixed correctly. It looked epic. I swear the paint they use is much better then stock Subaru paint. It was tough. Then a garage incident happened with a 2010 Legacy GT. They attempted to fix it for little dollars. Honestly it looked fine, but Randy took time to point out it was not perfect and showed me why. I contacted the insurance company and got it fixed right. Another incident with someone backing into the Legacy GT, and APEX nailed it. Recently, the hail storm in W. Denver took out my wife's brand new 2017 Outback. APEX worked out a time when she would not need the vehicle, and did an awesome rework. They did it in a very reasonable time, and worked with insurance for the minimal increases to do it right. It looks awesome. I am sure if I found a minor flaw (I have not yet), they would make it right. These guys are solid. I actually enjoy writing them a check because they do the best job possible.
