Really awesome experience all the way around from my initial phone call through the whole process it was a outstanding customer experience. Its a real challenge today to find a company that sincerely offers customer service top tp bottom, these guys do just that. I drove all the way from Baltimore to Apex to get my new truck tinted I made that decision after I hang up the phone with William the owner I knew I had finally found a place that not only appreciated my business had the experience and also offered the top of the line product and quality work I was looking for. I went in on a Saturday and the guy behind the counter was freaking awesome (so sorry I can't remember his name) was handling the Saturday morning rush perfectly greeting everyone with a smile it was nice to see I waited my turn got all my questions answered and away he went to the back to do the job as well, this guy was a rock star I'm telling ya lol. The job was perfect the tint is freaking outstanding and I'm 100% grateful! Thanks Apex, William and the gentleman that was manning the store that morning I'll be back with my next vehicle I'm trying to convince myself to get the Ceramic Coating coating I know it'll be worth it but just can't fit it in the budget right now -

Great tint and ceramic. Had a few tiny bubbles in the tint - probably cold weather - stopped by the shop and they fixed it right up. Good price, transparent, easy scheduling.

Very professional and punctual! I've been taking my cars here for sometime now. Whether you need PPF, tint, or a new wrap, they're the team to trust. They are not only efficient, but produce high quality work as well. I highly recommend this place for anyone who needs work done to their car!

I Sent requests for quotes for ceramic window tinting . I got almost immediate response from William at Apex. His response was accurate detailed and complete. He answered follow up questions as well. Based on this I called his shop next day and made an appointment. William was even better in person than email. He carefully answered my questions and I made the decision to have the work done. It was done in the time frame promised and looks excellent. Actual install was done by Jimmie I think. Lifetime warranty as well.

I don't normally leave reviews but felt I needed to after the great communication and quality of work. I emailed for a quote on a Monday, fully expecting a little while for a reply. I immediately got a response and was able to be schedule for the upcoming Wednesday (2 days!!). I arrived at my allotted time and was immediately greeted and walked through a couple different options. Once all the papers were signed, was told about 2.5 hours time. No biggie. Showed back up about 2.5 hours later and my car was being finished up. Overall, the communication and quality of work is outstanding. Would recommend.

Absolutely the best customer service out there. So helpful and steered me in the right direction on which to tint to use on my front windows. Work done was flawless. My car looks great! Thanks again!

I highly recommend Apex Auto Performance. I took my vehicle in to have the windows tinted and the service was excellent. William explained in detail all the options, pricing, and performance of each product. They didn't pressure me to purchase the most expensive product and made sure I was comfortable. Additionally, I was in and out within an hour with no appointment and the vehicle looks amazing. APEX has earned a life long customer.

William and the team at Apex Auto Performance are hands down incredible. I first took my vehicle to Apex Summer 2019 to do a tint removal and then put a new tint on. William was very accommodating, provided quotes for the job, and was able to fit me in the following day. The tint came out perfectly and based on the service I received, I knew I'd take any future cars of mine back to Apex. Fast forward to 2020, I took my Shelby back to Apex to get a Ceramic Window Tint from the team. Once again, William was able work with my schedule for my appointment, and while at the shop we discussed additional protections, such as detailing, paint correction, PPF, ceramic and even vinyl wrapping. Each option was explained in depth, including their pros/cons and why I would want these services (William definitely knows his stuff!). I've since gone back to regularly get my car detailed (which always comes out looking as beautiful as the day I picked it up), and most recently had PPF applied the full front end and doors (another service done flawlessly). Apex Auto Performance is the ONLY shop I'll take any car of mine and I'd highly recommend them if you want the best as well!

This mechanic shop is attached to the Stevens Forrest Exxon, located just off of Rt. 29 and Broken Land Parkway in Columbia MD (not far from my home). Due to their proximity to my house, I stopped in there to service my Ford Explorer about two years ago. They replaced the serpentine belt and damaged my vehicle by forcing too much refrigerant into the system. I discovered this once I took it to another shop, and they told me that whomever worked on my serpentine belt, damaged the system. With that bad experience behind me and needing a state inspection for a different vehicle, last week (03/16/26) I figured this would be a quick in and out process. They advised that it would take approximately two hours to complete and they would contact me. After four hours, I called them for an update. They advised that my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee had failed the state inspection because of its windshield tint and faulty rear windshield wiper. I was shocked at what they said was the cause of the failure, but I literally laughed out loud when they said that the repairs would cost over $600. I kept my composure as I advised them I was headed back to their mechanic shop to retrieve my vehicle. This experience cost me $150 Since this vehicle is a work vehicle, I took it directly to a Jeep Dealership in nearby Clarksburg MD for them to perform the state inspection. They did advise that the tint would need to come off due to state inspection regulations, but they advised that my rear windshield wiper was functioning just fine. Now I am not sure what occurred for the rear windshield wiper to "fail" at their location, but function perfectly fine and "pass" the next morning at dealership. Also, Auto Obsession lists tinting as one of their services, so I would believe they could have simply offered to take the tint off my two front windows. I am still clueless on the faulty rear windshield wipe scam they attempted to run on me. In conclusion, I have had two unpleasant experiences with this location, and I would not recommend anyone utilizing their mechanic shop services. I will share pictures of both state inspection receipts to show what Auto Obsession claimed was a failure vs what the Jeep dealership performed to pass the same state inspection.

I had a small budget for something temporary so I purchased a Pioneer unit on Amazon. Afterwards, I contacted Hot Tint in May 2022. They responded to me that day and told me to stop by the shop. I made an appointment for later that week. When I arrived, I asked them to install the unit and a backup camera. I can't recall how much time it took but it was done in a reasonable amount of time and I'm happy with their service. I called a few other shops around this time. A couple had other projects and couldn't get to me for a few months. A couple of others didn't want to touch the van because of its age, manufactured in 1989. Hot Tint was straight-forward. They said let them see what I have and they'll let me know if they could use what I had or needed something else. I appreciate that approach. I did have a couple of problems but they were responsive. While driving home, my radio rebooted twice. The cable came loose so they told me to return to the shop so that they could fix it. The second is my clock resets to 12:00 every time the vehicle is restarted. They told me to bring it by so that they can fix it but I haven't. I'm rarely on the screen to see the time and just had other priorities. I mention these items to show that they were responsive and willing to troubleshoot the problem. I rate them high also because there are many mechanics and technicians who can work on a classic vehicle but refuse to do so. There are a handful like Hot Tint that jumps right in and do the job. I'm finally ready to add an amp and subwoofer so I will be contacting them again soon.

It's $280 if you don't want the front windshield done. Speaking of which, the darkest they'll do for windshield is 45%. For no ceramic I believe it's $180 for five windows, addition $100 for the windshield which is always going to be ceramic regardless of if the rest of the car is ceramic. Not hard to find, wasn't too sure on where to park when I got there. If you knock, I don't believe anyone will answer lol so just walk right in. Okay this is not the place you'll receive the friendliest customer service. They're not mean or rude. Just not the most welcoming. But it's cool I'm here for tints not to make BFFs. I was told three hours but they actually got it done in half the time because an additional associate came in to help at the end of the day so that was great. No one wore mask and there's no waiting area so just keep that in mind. I knew I would be in and out and didn't plan on staying to wait so I was cool. Overall nice job. Tints are still "drying" which they said takes 2-3 weeks. There's a small bubble at the top of my front windshield but it's gradually gone down. They said they'd fix anything if it didn't completely go away at the end of the drying period. They also offer $20 lifetime warranty if you do anything to mess up your tints like scratch it or if your ring hits it.

I appreciated his advice just not his tone. So instead of spending $220, I saved $100. That in person encounter totally contrasted with the phone call I made to set my appointment. The lady who set my appointment didn't mention anything about the windshield and even suggested different shades I could get (as low as 40% but she recommended 70% tint). She was so nice!! She made me feel at ease and honestly I felt very good about making my appointment with them because of her phone manner. So I get there and knock on the door. No one answered so I let myself in. A couple folks (I'm guessing they were part of the family who owns the business) were there, no one wearing masks but hey, I'm not judging, I kept mine on so no biggie. They looked at me for a few beats until the guy who ended up doing my tint acknowledged me. Didn't exactly make me feel welcomed but the lady who ended up taking my keys was decent. She told me some places I could wait in the area. No waiting inside due to COVID-19 so I had to hang around the area. They initially estimated it would take an hour. It took 4 hours. There was only one other car when I got there and I had an 11am appointment, but I arrived at 11:02am. When I called after 2 hrs to check, they said they had gotten busy. How??? I would think anyone else would get done AFTER me. So that didn't add up. Made me wonder how long I waited unnecessarily before they even got started on my car. I wasn't impressed by the customer service, when they finally called me, they said I was done, they let me know what time they normally close but mentioned they wanted to close early. Kind of awkward again but luckily for them, I was only steps away and got there 2 minutes after they called. Once inside, the guy who did my tint made a point to tell me how difficult it was to apply tint to the small triangle windows within my front window. He said it was a pain in the butt actually. He couldn't resist telling me they normally charge for that but they weren't charging. I did thank him but 2 things came to mind: 1. Why when I let them know my vehicle details over the phone did they not know about those windows or when I dropped my car off did they not look it over and call to tell me about the extra charge? I felt the decision not to make me pay was because they took 4 hours to tint 2 front windows. 2. What was the point of mentioning that? It lead me to once again feel awkward and struck me as unprofessional that he felt the need to bring it up. I'd almost rather have paid than to be spoken to like that. When I left, I was so ready to go but as the lady was detailing what I should expect of my windows over the next 2 weeks, I noticed something dark on the passenger window. I mentioned it and she came over and it was on the exterior. It was tape of some sort that she brushed away, casually mentioning the guy who did the job must not have cleaned up after himself. Not the end of the world but just one more thing. I really wanted to love this place. It's a small business, in my community and they had stellar reviews. I am not criticizing their work, they did a fine job and I'm sure my tint will be great when it "smooths" out in the next few days or so. I'm just asking them to try to deliver a consistent, PROFESSIONAL customer experience. The experience that so many other reviews raved about and influenced me to try Baltimore Tint in the first place.

When I contacted them to request a cancellation and refund, they refused and simply pointed to the contract I signed -- despite the fact that the recurring charges were not properly explained during the interaction. What makes this even more frustrating is that I did not use the car wash at all during the last 30 days. This experience felt misleading and unethical.
