Their compassion, teamwork, and willingness to help made all the difference. They didn't just treat his tooth, they treated us with kindness, empathy, and genuine care. They are often rude, dismissive, and show little concern for patient care or communication. Our family has been with Smiles for Kids for over 15 years, but we will now be finding a new dental office. I have two children with braces and schedule their appointments together on the same day and time. We use the dental office next door for routine care without any issues. I have provided updated insurance information multiple times for one of my children, yet every visit I am told his insurance has "expired" and I am asked to pay out of pocket. Each time, I explain that I already submitted the new insurance information months ago and that there are no issues at the neighboring office. The response I receive is often in a snarky and unprofessional tone, stating that their system does not communicate with the other office's system and that it is "not their responsibility." I was even told I should have read the contract to know this, which is unreasonable and unhelpful. When appointments need to be rescheduled due to illness or unforeseen issues, the wait time is often weeks or even months. However, when they are selling braces, they seem to have immediate availability. This creates the impression that sales are prioritized over patient care. Additionally, phone calls are rarely answered and voicemails are not returned in a timely manner, making it extremely difficult to resolve issues. Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and repeated billing problems have made this office more stressful than helpful. Save yourself the frustration and consider another provider.

The office staff that did the billing texted a receipt to me, which upon review was incorrect. She overbilled me by almost $140. Anyone with an FSA knows that they won't even accept an incorrect amount. I tried four different times to get this corrected because all they needed to do was issue a refund for the portion that was incorrect or provide a revised receipt about why the original amount was correct. The office manager never returned my calls, they never responded to emails, and quite frankly I don't want to go in there after all this because they are so unprofessional. So disappointing after all these years of being loyal patients of this office.

He major explains what he is doing, had no pain from the procedure. My tooth had a crack, I need a root canal and a crown, I am sitting here 5 hours and 40 minutes after the procedure he did with NO PAIN during him cleaning out my tooth and right now. NO PAIN. This is why all of his reviews say he is THE best dentist here in Albuquerque. My wife is looking for a dentist cause we just moved, and I am sending her to Dr. Allman.
