So- I waited months to write this review. Apex describes themselves as being able to repair windows as opposed to replacing them. I contacted them received an estimate on what needed to be repaired and agreed to the estimate. They said they needed 30% down which somehow I avoided, thankfully. The day, the technician who was supposed to perform the repair repairs came out and told me that that was only half of what need to be repaired. They stated that this is what's on the list today please do it and we'll talk about the rest at a different time. The person came and looked at the job started doing something to compare. My windows. Left them hanging glass out, trim out in my yard in the basement. I went out to look and all of a sudden his truck was gone so figured had to go get materials went to Home Depot whatever Waited an hour and a half and he never came back so called them and they said oh the driver got strong by a B and he had to leave because he had a allergic reaction so doors open. Have an issue yell and say have an issue I gotta leave Didn't happen. So left my windows open mess glass hanging everywhere and was nowhere to be found when I called the office they said they were gonna call him. That's when the "allergic reaction issue "seemed to come in to play. He appeared not to want to do the job. Later that night the manager of the wheeling office contacted me to see how everything was going knew nothing about supposed to be staying didn't know the guy I didn't do anything. Hear left my place a mess offered to come back. I had already taken a day off work at unpaid and was not willing to take another one after back-and-forth and back-and-forth he was like well what if we come on a Saturday and I just at this point didn't want them back in my house at all ever so the manager of the wheeling office never even heard about the "bee sting" whatever.... Alexander simply didn't want to to the job. It is on a lower level and there are some obstacles, but that is what they agreed to. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

The complaint that I have is that the appointment was set up with the window between 12 & 2 o'clock and the technician was 1 1/2 hrs late without any contact. I literally had to reach out to the company to determine why. The other concern I had was that the company failed to reflect my deposit that had been provided 1 week prior to the installation, therefore upon completion of the installation the invoice was incorrect. Although minor it should have been addressed prior to the visit. Overall the job itself was very well done and looks amazing. The rescheduling fees were not explained upfront and were instead referenced only in the fine‑print notes of the contract. For transparency, trust, and good customer service, any additional fees beyond the project cost should be clearly communicated when the appointment is made. I have used apex over the last couple of years to rebuild doors and windows on an old house. The workmen did wonderful work and were very efficient. They told me that the door may warp a little and they may have to make an adjustment to get the door to catch at the lock. They would not come out. So the work is good but if you need any follow up, you are up a creek. read more

Looking to have trim repaired as well as a few foggy windows. Katie who I have been dealing with will only schedule a day and can't narrow down am vs pm. You don't get your "window of time" until the evening before. Not many people can work like that. When I spoke with her yesterday, she gave me today (May 7th) as my day. I told her I am not available in the afternoon and could make the appointment as long as it were in the morning. The scheduler called me last evening and made the appointment window for the afternoon. What company works like this? No one can work at a job and only be given notice the evening before. Looking elsewhere due to their new scheduling process and not having effective communication. It shouldn't be this difficult. Apex provided me with an estimate to replace several windows ranging from $225-280, Mechanical Mchanism for about 8-10 windows $45.00 each. The bathroom mechanism replacement $310. This is just a brief description of the services I requested. The total cost of all the repairs was over $5,000 ( I didt list everything) i I almost decided to go with this company. Glad I didn't. I was able to locate somone who repaired the broken windows for $75 and the replacement mechanism for over 10 windows much lower than the cost provided by Apex. My cost from the other company was under $500 with a warranty. Many are struggling financially and I was almost ripped off by this company. I'm so glad I decided not move forward with this company. read more

We were recommended Apex through our realator... needed to have glass in 4 French door panels replaced. Sales rep visited day after I called them and confirmed glass could be replaced. We were told 2 week turnaround. However (i) tech visit for measurement could not be scheduled for them for another 2 weeks and then (ii) when he visited he informed us the glass could not be replaced. These guys did the wood work but refused to finish the job with weather stripping. You need to install weather strips separately. The technician also left the curtain holders unattached with the screws destroyed, not really caring for your property. Estimates were not thorough. I ended up paying almost 50% more than the estimate to have the job completed and they were not the least apologetic. The on-the-fly additional charge was priced in haste and inflated. I called Apex for an estimate to re-caulk my windows. A salesperson came to my home to provide an estimate at 3:30pm on January 29th. He said I would receive a call from the office regarding a day and time the work would be done. About 5 minutes later, I received a call from the office to get my credit card number for a deposit and confirm someone would be out the next day. Later that day, I noticed I had a voicemail letting me know that someone would be at my home between 11 - 1pm the next day and left a number to call back. I called back the next day at 9:00 to let them know that 11:00 would not work and asked to reschedule. They then told me there would be a $100 rescheduling fee even though I never confirmed the time. They also would not refund my deposit. I will never do business with them again because of their unreasonable business practices. read more

I had Apex come out and replace one of our windows. They were prompt, clear and seemed to have fair pricing. Since the replacement, I had to request 2 replacements. The first replacement experience was seamless and I understand, things happen. The bad part is, the second time they never would get back in touch with me. The replacements they provided were not sealed correctly and allowed air and dust in between the panels. I'll be looking for another vendor in the future. read more

Poor quality installation. They disassembled my patio door and glass frames to install new glass. And after putting it all back together, the door was crooked and is not sealed from drafts. customer service. They sent someone out to fix it but after attempting, they couldn't figure out why it was still crooked. Been a couple days and still waiting to hear back from the company. I suppose I'll have to track them down to get someone out again. Be careful with this company. Their customer service barely speak English and sent an estimator out instead of a laborer.
