I called Apex for an estimate to re-caulk my windows. A salesperson came to my home to provide an estimate at 3:30pm on January 29th. He said I would receive a call from the office regarding a day and time the work would be done. About 5 minutes later, I received a call from the office to get my credit card number for a deposit and confirm someone would be out the next day. Later that day, I noticed I had a voicemail letting me know that someone would be at my home between 11 - 1pm the next day and left a number to call back. I called back the next day at 9:00 to let them know that 11:00 would not work and asked to reschedule. They then told me there would be a $100 rescheduling fee even though I never confirmed the time. They also would not refund my deposit. I will never do business with them again because of their unreasonable business practices. read more

These guys did the wood work but refused to finish the job with weather stripping. You need to install weather strips separately. The technician also left the curtain holders unattached with the screws destroyed, not really caring for your property. Estimates were not thorough. I ended up paying almost 50% more than the estimate to have the job completed and they were not the least apologetic. The on-the-fly additional charge was priced in haste and inflated. Poor quality installation. They disassembled my patio door and glass frames to install new glass. And after putting it all back together, the door was crooked and is not sealed from drafts. customer service. They sent someone out to fix it but after attempting, they couldn't figure out why it was still crooked. Been a couple days and still waiting to hear back from the company. I suppose I'll have to track them down to get someone out again. Be careful with this company. Their customer service barely speak English and sent an estimator out instead of a laborer. Used this company before and they were very good. Yesterday I had them for 2 repairs. 1) A window which they could not fully fix because the estimator did not realize the wood sill was rotten. 2) Needed 2 sliding doors fixed so they open and close easier. Very difficult to open. Was told the repair would allow the doors to open and close with one finger. After the repair the doors are still very hard to operate. I had Apex come out and replace one of our windows. They were prompt, clear and seemed to have fair pricing. Since the replacement, I had to request 2 replacements. The first replacement experience was seamless and I understand, things happen. The bad part is, the second time they never would get back in touch with me. We had used APEX in the past for patio door repair and were very pleased with the quality and price of the work performed. We hired them again this winter to paint our front doors. TERRIBLE. They contract out for some jobs and this job was contracted out: it was NOT quality, reasonable, or acceptable work performed. Workers did the absolute minimum and did not take the doors off the hinges even after we offered and asked for doors to be removed. We offered our garage so the work could be done. We were told nothing and the worker could barely speak English and communicate. HE worked several nights in the dark so obviously that is a problem- he could not see. Doors were not removed, sanded thoroughly, and primed and painted in any sort of methodical way. We will NOT be using Apex again. read more

I was a bit skeptical about getting glass replaced on my 25 year old patio door. I was told it couldn't be done without ruining the cladding. The service tech that did it was very careful and did an amazing job, he was able to get cladding off and put it back on without damaging it.They had to come back for a minor repair, which took the service technician about five minutes to fix. They are very professional and efficient, and did a very good clean job. I would consider them again for a project of this sort. The door was an excellent condition except for the glass, this was a great option as opposed to purchasing a whole new door. read more

45 year sliding patio door rotted inside the metal cladding. They were able to replace the rotted wood and got it just like new. I've used them for other old rot on windows and even woodpecker destruction on window frames. They can also defog your sealed double pane windows.
