Wings were very good . I ordered 15 wings half hot half garlic parmesan. The garlic parm had plenty of cheese. The hot we're really just medium spice. Im giving only 3 stars because I ordered 15 wings and did half n half and I wondered which flavor would get the extra I only counted 14 hmmmm.....I bet this happens often and $20.00 for 15 wings that is not cheap!!!! Outstanding wings! Went there with a total of 6 people (among them a three year old), 2 of which were vegetarian. All of us loved the place. They offer great wings (we thought the Shearon Harris sauce was a little vinegary, but all the other sauces were excellent!). They make the sauce there themselves, and the wings are pretty meaty, generously covered in sauce, and served hot and tasty. My three year old had the corn dog, which was a lot of coctail weenie corn dogs, she loved 'em, and they came with lots of tater tots as well. They offer pitchers of beer, and have a decent selection of micro-brews (we have magic hat, they also have carolina, and a few others) The vegetarians among us had the appetizers, a smattering of fried okra, fried cheese, and a few other things (including fries). They also offer a grilled cheese sandwich (we didn't get one of those). Overall, I'd say that this place is much better than Buffalo Wings and Rings in Morrisville, and Wing Stop Cafe in Raleigh/Briar Creek. It's a bit hard to find though (its behind an Ace Hardware off of Davis Drive in Apex), and is kind of a hole-in-the wall. I'll be going back again with friends, and recommend you do also! read more

Ordered take out tonight and less than impressed....4 orders of wings and only 1 had correct sauce applied....2 orders of mild had little to nothing and an order of medium had little to nothing....sad to say you get home and find out and your stuck. Went today for Saturday lunch. My husband had the buffalo chicken wrap. I got the traditional wings. I am a wimp I got the mild and his sauce for the wrap was chipotle BBQ. Saturday lunch 1pm my first time here. Not too many people in here when I walked in but a small crowd soon followed. Big TVs with two of the football games were playing hence there are a few men in here... clearly regulars (Norm!). The restaurant is hard to find tucked in the back corner of the strip shopping center behind the Indian market. Walking in the door I found it to be a bit warm and the air was thick with the smell of mesquite (not my choice in BBQ sauces). I ordered the 10 pc wings with Thai Chili sauce (9.99). I can hear my wings sizzling and they were delivered promptly with celery and blue cheese...and a piece of warm...actually hot... Texas toast topped with cheese. The wings themselves were perfectly crispy and the sauce was delicious. Plenty of meat on the wings too.. The Bleu Cheese dressing is clearly bottled so not worth the extra calories. Minus a star here since that's a huge part of the wings experience. Texas toast... ok... not much of a Texas toast eater. Service was ok but not Southern friendly. I've probably tried 10 places that are known for their wings and some a pretty good but Apex wings is by far the best. I went with a friend of mine and ordered 50 wings and tried 10 of their flavors. The garlic, parm, habanero and jerk were my favorites. I just ate lunch and I'm craving them as I type this. They also give a big slice of Texas toast with cheese on it to enjoy some of the saucy goodness if you run out of wings. These wings seriously had the best mix of crispy outside with tender, juicy and yes I'm going to say it, MOIST chicken. This weekend I have to go back. My family has LOVED this place for many years but it seems that in recent months, this place has gone down hill in their food and their facility. I was there yesterday and they charged me $6.95 for some fried potato chips that were half of the size order that we normally would received and our family of 4 would enjoy. Yesterday, there were barely enough for my son and I to have as an appetizer. Additionally, the chips were either raw/soggy or burnt/bitter. Also, they charged me an extra $1 for the hot cheese that was over cooked and had bits of crust in it. I didn't know cheese had crust. YUCK! The wings were great until the KNATS landed on them (see info on Knat issue below) So, now on to the facility. Where we sat, there was a knat problem. Of course, I didn't know this until much later. While we waited for our food, I thought it was just one, so no problem. However, after our food arrived, we were swarmed. When I brought this to the attention to our server, she said "yeah, we know, we are trying everything to get rid of them". Well, what I want to know is if you knew there was a problem, why did you let us sit in that section. Why did you not offer some sort of apology or maybe compensation for our issue. Like free burnt/crusty cheese. Needless to say, we no longer LOVE this place. read more
