The layout makes sense, the aisles are easy to navigate, and the product selection is great. From the moment you walk in, it feels like the kind of place that should become a regular stop. But the moment you're ready to check out, everything falls apart. The checkout lines here are consistently long and slow-moving, no matter the time of day. What makes it even more disappointing is the fact that ALDI removed their self-checkout options without putting any effective process in place to keep things flowing. If the goal was to ensure items in the cart match what's being scanned, you'd think there would be a smarter and more efficient way to do that -- but instead, customers are left waiting with no clear system or support. It's frustrating because ALDI's nearby competitors, like Lidl, do offer self-checkout at their busier locations, and it makes a huge difference in convenience and speed. Here, it feels like the store took a big step backward. As much as I appreciate how clean and modern the store looks, the checkout experience completely overshadows it. Plentiful street parking is available outside the store. As what I noticed the owner tries to keep the store clean, neat and organized. Some of the item prices are more affordable as compared to other well known groceries. This is where I prefer to purchase raw unshelled peanuts , so that I can cook fried garlic peanuts, and prefer to get fresh red delicious apples. Costumer service is not that preferable (a one time experience), I may describe some staff as dismissive, may lack empathy, or show no interest in solving the customer's problem, and I understand that each costumer experience may vary. Sometimes language barrier could be an issue. I've had an unfortunate experience here while recuperating from a recent surgery. After I was done purchasing some items and while I was pushing the grocery cart towards outside, a staff who is very anxious to help bring back the cart in place has forcibly pushed my cart resulting to minimal pain on my surgical site. I raised my voice at what the staff did, because of the commotion, I found out from another staff that the person who pushed my cart has language challenges, my sentiments were dismissed by the staff who informed me. For reasons unknown to me they stopped carrying them and now carry a different kind of cannoli cookie, which does not measure up. Please bring back Maria's cannoli cookies. They are the best.
