Exceeded my expectations. Great location, lots of parking and lots of vegan sweets !! The owner is warm and welcoming. She showed me the cake proudly and with such joy. I loved it!! Not only was it beautiful but it tasted amazing and all vegan. Also so easy to order. I ordered online a week in advance for pick up, super easy, How lucky am I!? I will be returning for every function and celebration.

This cafe surpassed my expectations. I place an order the day before pickup and the staff was so helpful and kind. I found this place for a friend's birthday who has a son with allergies. This place catered to that and I'm so thankful. I'm not familiar with vegan diet so it was very helpful in the explanation. The cafe itself is so incredibly beautiful and tranquil. Lovely on a summer day! They showed me the cake before payment and it was great! Perfect size, good ratio of cake to frosting and it tasted pretty good for the non dairy cake. Takes some getting used to if you've never had vegan cakes. I was impressed by the quality and texture. You could tell a lot of love went into baking this. The pricing was great and love the reusable tote they use for the cake. I also liked that it's less sugar which is what we needed. Really great option!

Was having lunch near by and I spotted this cute new bakery yesterday. My companion and I were in a rush so we couldn't wait but I came back today with more time. We ordered two cappuccino's ($4.50 each) and a slice of Strawberry Shortcake ($6). The coffee was lovely, my companion wanted it hotter, I thought the temperature was perfect. They used agave to sweeten and it was delightful. The cake tasted light and moist. The buttercream was not overly sweet and very lucious. The Straweberry filling was the goopy clear kind and tasted like strawberries. The vibes in there are very cute and I will be back with all my friends.

A great addition in the neighborhood. The bakery caters vegan, vegetarian and has gluten limitation customers. Heard from a friend that she enjoys every piece she gets from here so we come, visit and try to experience the truth in it. My son is vegan, my husband prefers gluten free baked goods. For today, we picked the pineapple slice cake, the beyond burger meat pie and a sconce. We have no complaint and we could say that the chef met our expectations. This place is a perfect find for my family. The baked goods pricing is higher than the regular bakeshop but worth spending every penny for the quality we are after for. They are so many pieces in the shelf that definitely worth trying g, They have plenty of options in the menu on their website. It seems like that we could place an order for any special occasion cakes with no issue . This is our new go to bakeshop. There is a cute dining spot inside if preferred to stay and enjoy your sweets and treats. Not sure if the other Rose Valley shop we used to buy our party cakes has same management, but the staff here is very welcoming during our visit. Happy that we have now a closer bake shop that's within our reach. Congratulations to the management and welcome to the community.

Tasted absolutely terrible & was as dry and flavorless as it looks- had to toss it out

Rose Valley Cakes...I had high hopes for this new place in my neighborhood but unfortunately the quality and the food is just really...bad. We were greeted pleasantly by both the mom and daughter who runs the place. They told us that everything in the store was vegan which is fine by me- I've had delicious vegan treats before. Unfortunately, the Jamaican patties that I purchased were awful. First, there is no flavor and barely any filling. Second, it is way too doughy and doesn't taste good. Third, $4 for a piece of a stale pastry that I had to literally spit out and throw out is obviously not right. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone...really disappointing. PS- Feel free to eat here if you also want potential food poisoning as well because I've seen their behind the scenes sanitary conditions and they're NOT pleasant...yuck.

Happened to be in Glen Oaks last Friday afternoon and decided to try this bakery which is in the old Blockbuster store location. Cozy looking decor makes it feel inviting...except for the fact you have to be buzzed in lol. It turns out it's a vegan and vegetarian bakery with some interesting Caribbean pastries like guava cookies, guava cream cheese turnovers, croissants, brownies, etc. i ordered a coffee with my pastries "barista-ed" by a very nice and polite young woman, which was excellent. They also have several "chikn" sandwiches and rolls as well. Everything was delicious and I would definitely recommend it even if you are doubtful about vegan, vegetarian pastries.

Saw this establishment while driving down Union Turnpike and decided to stop for a visit. It is located at the corner of Union and 255th Street, across from the library. It is quaint inside and beautifully decorated. There are a few tables to sit and eat. There were several customers inside when we walked in, but the staff made sure to greet us and asked if we had questions about the food options. Very kind owners and employees. There are many options to choose from. They happen to be mainly vegan, with gluten-free and vegetarian options. Speaking with Kavita, one of the owners, and learned they consider themselves an international bakery, and this is their second location; their first is located in Richmond Hill and are known for mainly doing cakes there. They have coffee from Italy and a variety of teas as well. Their food options vary and include vegetarian sandwiches, vegan Jamaican patties, cookies, pastries, croissants, muffins, cakes, bonbons, breads, brownies, etc. They make their foods in small batches, so they don't end up having to throw unpurchased food out at the end of the night. Everything is made fresh on site. Prices are very reasonable for this kind of quality and healthy food. They packed our goodies nicely and provided cute rose gold colored utensils and napkins. We decided to try the Jamaican patty, vanilla Mango cake, carrot cake, chocolate walnut bonbon, and rum gingerbread bundt cake with coffee cream. Everything was absolutely delicious and not too sweet, which is right up my alley. The vanilla mango cake reminded me of a mango Lassi. You taste the mango, and the density of the cake was perfect. The carrot cake was another hit, the spices were great, and you got the hint of carrot. The bonbon was covered in a ganache and had a walnut on top, great chocolate cake. Our savory choice, the Jamaican style patty, was awesome! It was spicy, had veggies inside with vegan meat, and the patty itself was flaky and delicious. They offer to toast it for you, which we did. The rum gingerbread cake was moist, had a hit of coffee flavor along with ginger and spices. I am so happy I decided to make a U-turn and visit this place. I plan to return and try other options. I won't be surprised if I update this review and make it 5 stars!

    Three flavor cake

Horrible! I wish I could give them no stars for my experience. Ordered their Three Flavor Specialty cake for a special birthday and was horrified. It was poorly decorated and tasted worst than it looked. And my fingers are stained the next day from the blue icing that I scraped off. Grocery store cakes taste better. What a waste of $57! Dampened our celebration and very disappointed. On the flip side their counter person was nice and the place is nicely decorated but if this is an indication of what they serve, BUYER BEWARE!

    Front of store

The girl, Jacqueline is very sweet and helpful, she knows a lot about the menu and is patient when asking questions about the ingredients, pastries and drink options. Although the cafe is small, the business is very clean, the music is lo-fi and the cafe atmosphere is very aesthetic. The fact that everything is made fresh, in-store and to vegan desires leaves me wanting to come back often as my local bakery/cafe.

Finally! A cute cafe/bakery in the neighborhood. The cappuccino is so good! I'd like to note, I'm not vegan. That being said, I couldn't taste the difference. In fact, I think their red velvet cupcake is so much tastier than the nonvegan option. Best vegan spot and even great for non vegans. Their croissants are incredible! Love that it's family owned business. Theyre so kind. They asked for my name and made a "k" with the milk foam I. My cappuccino. It was so cute. They clearly put a lot of thought and consideration to their design. Just an overall inviting bakery.this is a must! Will be back this week again!

The decor is nice. Some of the vegan stuff is overprocessed and makes my stomach hurt. The chai is uniformly terrible.

Bakery items are fresh and good quality. My favorite item was the hazelnut eclair and chocolate eclair with vanilla cream. Both were delicious! Stepping inside of this magnificent dessert emporium I became perplexed by the variety of desserts and pastries that were very desirable and readily available. In the words of Vinnie Barbarino, I'm so confused (IYKYK). It's a different setup that causes the line to move faster than it used to, I see the improvement. The ordering is done in one place and cashing out is next to it, in the same area. You still walk in and head straight to the display cases where you pick you pleasure. I did not pick my names sake only because it slipped my mind due to me being focused on breakfast. No, I don't eat cakes for breakfast. I picked up a couple croissants, apple turnover, a couple of cheese Danishes, and an almond croissant. Service was prompt and the employees were attentive as well as pleasant. I like how they approach the counter and inquire about your status versus staring at you letting you try to figure out if someone is going to help you or not. At the check out, there's the coffee station or tea. I ordered 2 French Vanilla coffees, to say the least the French vanilla flavor seemed distant to none. On the second trip it was exact same coffee request with the same results. An improvement needed is to have different sweetners for the coffee. Not everyone wants white sugar or sweet n low. Since the vanilla syrup is not sweet enough, another liquid sweetener can work. Nonetheless this was such a sweet experience! Inspire more, Yelp more!
