I haven't been here for years and friends suggested we stop for dinner. I don't believe the inside has changed at all, which isn't a good thing. The menu is fairly limited and they do have daily specials. Our server wasn't very happy to be serving us but since we were her only table you think she would have been. I started out with the soup special which was red pepper Gouda. When I asked her to describe it she said she didn't know as she hadn't tried it . The soup arrived nice and hot and was extremely good. She should have tried it. I ordered the salmon with risotto and vegetable of the day. Food arrived timely and was hot, which are both pluses for me. The salmon was so dry and there was so little sauce on top that it was not a good choice. The risotto had very little flavor. I should have stopped at the soup.

I can't believe I've been living around for so long and never went to Apollo's Bistro until last night. Last night, my friends and I went for dinner, and we had a great time. I usually see their sign but always thought it's a community kind of place, but it's a nice restaurant. Our server Steph was nice and took great care of us. We enjoyed our drinks: Margarita and wine. They even let us try one of their seasonal drinks, a pumpkin beer, but the Margarita won. It seems like everyone enjoyed their meal: steak, chicken, and flatbread. We did love our desserts. In general, we had a great time, and the ambiance was nice. I had a 50% off my appetizer for checking in, which was a bonus. I will definitely come back!

A hidden gem! Back in what looks like a athletic club neighborhood its a nice little restaurant. Lucas was our waiter and he was nice and very attentive. The food was great.. A little pricey but all very well made and generous. We had blackened grouper sandwich, walnut bleu cheese salad with shrimp and french dip.

Half of a slab of ribs and asparagus (baked beans, not pictured)

OMG... the best kept secret in Apollo Beach! Great food, good portions, friendly staff, plenty of parking! We will definitely be back!

The calamari was amazing would recommend!

Great food and a very family friendly small town feel. My kids always order the soup of the day and it is never disappointing.

(Also iykyk BTS members were here too :DD) We arrived around 3 PM, and the restaurant was super busy and packed. I was expecting a wait but we got seated right away. Initially, we asked to sit outside and it was really nice at first. The breeze and fresh air in the shade were definitely 10/10. But as the afternoon went on, the sun got much hotter and the seagulls became absolutely VICIOUS LOLL, so we ended up asking to move inside. The staff were so accommodating and let us pick whichever table we wanted, which I really appreciated. Now onto the food, WOW was the first word that came out of my mouth the portions are HUGE. There were a lot of great options to choose from, but I ended up getting the grilled lobster mac and cheese. The portion was HEFTY. I ate so much, yet it still looked like I barely made a dent in the bowl lol. The flavor was good, but it was saltier than I expected, and the more I ate, the more noticeable the saltiness became. I didn't catch the names of my friends' dishes, but they all really enjoyed their meals. Overall, it's a great spot with amazing views, generous portions, and great service. I'd love to come back again in the future!

The location on the water is beautiful and the patio tables are great, with fans to help with temperature control. The meh: This place is super inconsistent, even within the same visit. I had one spicy margarita that was amazing and had a couple of jalapeno slices. My friend ordered one that was missing the jalapenos and was just ok. The cooks forgot to add the honey sriracha sauce to our brussel sprouts (which I've had here before so I knew something was missing). The solution to just bring a cup of the sauce to the table was not it. The bad: That parking lot. Not a single place to park, yet the restaurant was not at all busy. It seemed like people parked there and walked next door. Just ok. $75 for two drinks and two apps seems excessive when they just can't get it right.

The raw oysters were great and the baked oysters almost as good. We enjoyed the clam chowder, the grouper oscar style and the cajun pasta. The lobster grilled cheese was good. First impression was a little suspect because it's clearly a house turned restaurant/bar. Once we got inside though, I loved the charm of it. There are different rooms you walk through and they have it all set up with tables and chairs....all different kinds so it's a modge podge of tables. Then there are cool chandeliers over the tables and bar signs everywhere. Our waitress was a new implant to Florida and she was super sweet and helpful. She also made a mean vodka tonic! Ok so let's get to the food. First we ordered the Fried Alligator Bites and the Fried Green Tomatoes as appetizers and they were both delicious! The alligator wasn't super chewy and the voodoo sauce was banging! I went with the Shrimp and Grits and sheesh I was blown away! I loved the texture and the taste of the grits. They had just the right amount of cheese and the shrimp were cooked perfectly! The hubby got the Grouper Tacos and he said they were good but a little dry. He wished they had some more toppings...either sauce or pico de gallo. My daughter got the mussel pasta. She loved the mussels but was disappointed by the penne pasta. She wished it was a bit saucier as it only had a lemony/wine liquid that wasn't sticking to the pasta. All in all this place was good. We will go at least once more since it's by where we're staying and I want to try a couple more things on the menu.

It's a great place to share a meal with family & friends. It was very comforting! We were greeted immediately by Dilara. She was so friendly and helpful throughout the visit. She even gave me a great suggestion on choice of drinks. The Milkis Banana Soda was the perfect fit for me. The restaurant started to get very busy at lunch time, and none of it phased her. She handled it like a pro. We started with the Corn Cheese appetizer. I would have never tried it if my friend had not mentioned it the day before. It was such a great shareable dish. It's delivered all bubbly on a hot plate. It looks almost like Mexican street corn, but it has a totally different flavor profile. It was almost sweet enough to be a dessert. I love that sweet cheese topping! It was a cold day, so we decided to get soup. I went with the Galbitang, and my friend selected the Soft Tofu Stew. It also came out bubbling hot, and served in its own cast iron pot. A very hot pot, so don't touch it. Lol! The rib meat was plentiful. There was a large rib bone in my soup. The meat was so tender, and fell right off the bone. The broth was meaty and full of flavor. There wasn't a whole lot of glass noodles, so I suggest you add the meat dumplings for an extra $5. Otherwise, just add the rice that comes with it. It was perfect with the rice. The banchan sides were also very tasty. I was surprised that the kimchi wasn't overly spicy. I really loved all the different flavors. What's even better is that they don't rely on salt to make it tasty. All the natural flavors of the rich rib meat shined through in the broth. It was a meal to be savored slowly as the broth started cooling off from the hot temperature. You can actually carry on a conversation while enjoying it, and not worry about your soup getting cold. Again, it was a very comfortable & enjoyable experience! We wanted to try the Korean Hotteok for dessert. Unfortunately, they didn't have any that day. I definitely want to go back and try that. I'm also very interested in trying their vegetable ramyun & gimbap lunch combo. There was a Bulgogi Wrap special that also looked very reasonable. They have different specials each month. Everything was great! I could definitely tell that a lot of hard work goes into making each and every dish. This hidden gem deserves multiple return visits. It's very close to the Manatee Viewing Center, so you might as well check it out while you're in the area.

FYI: we ordered the Korean cheesy corn appetizer first and this is delightfully cheesy and sweet. It doesn't feel like Mayo more cheesy. It's so good! Back to the soup: I wanted their Soft Tofu Soup since I had one in Orlando that I still dreamt about. I had the Beef Soft Tofu soup mild. I was afraid that the flavor would get lost due to not being spicy. I still really liked this soup and I just have to have rice with it, and I just couldn't stop. It was so good yet, it's so easy to eat this soup and enjoy it slowly since it's so hot. It really warmed me up a lot. My friend ordered the galbitang which is beef on the bone and it's a clear soup with eggs and veggies. It tasted very good, not too salty, & reminded me of a caldo de res soup at a Latin restaurant or beef soup clear broth per se. Just to try to compare it. They provided us with 3 banchan sides and rice. I really wish we had more banchan and different types but ours were very good. The broccoli was my fave, the kimchi was not too spicy and the 3rd dish was good and starchy. Our server was a doll. So sweet, so knowledgable and so helpful. This was a great experience at this Korean restaurant. I would love to try so many items on this menu, but it's not really an area I frequent.
