I appreciated that she was so helpful but also not pushy or hovering after she answered my question. I explored the rest of the store and even grabbed another tea to try. The store has a lot of teas and spices in various sizes. It was well organized and stocked. They all had various tea and spice related items. When I checked out she told me that if I bring the container back they will refill with any tea and take $3 off the purchase which I thought was great! I will be back to get my chai tea here from now on.

The sales associate was so helpful letting us know which teas are similar. She was bright and friendly and offered to help me create a new mix when I mentioned looking for a dupe of a discontinued brand. I definitely recommend if you're a tea lover.

I don't partake in the "smoking" of anything but their glass pipe selection is beautiful as well. Update: my new fave from these guys is their green maeng da. And so far their prices are the same if not better than my online vendors...their quality is the same too. (I think it was $175 for 1 kilo but not entirely sure....) Also, this is the ONLY place I can find locally that sells empty (gel) capsules as cheap as they do! The wall of chocolate contains bars from all over the world, and a section with local chocolates. Half the wall contains plain chocolate ranging from milk to the darkest dark. The other side does the same, but with mix ins. And not just the typical almonds or sea salt, be adventurous and try the dark with dried berries or the honey lavender. The bars are pricey, about $11 for 2 oz, but worth it for a decadent treat that you savor slowly, say with a glass of red. Lots of bitters to make craft cocktails and spritzers. Also some syrups - I love the cardamom. And so many salts!!! I've ought a jar of fine finishing flakes that really take a simple dish or baked good to the next level! The truffle salt, while displayed as a topping for popcorn, is even better sprinkled on triple cream Brie. As you enter, there is a table filled with dozens of vases, each containing various stems of flowers for purchase. Love that you can mix and match to make your own bouquet. They have 2 walls that are 5 shelves high with glass jars full of all the dried plants listing descriptions for each one so you can decide what you need. I've been with this shop since 2008. This shop helped me get rid of horrible, itchy acne I had for 2 years that not even the dermatologists at OHSU could remedy (sure, I had to drink a special tea 3x a day, take herbal capsules 2x a day and steam a few times a week - cleared up in 2 months!). Whether you're a novice or make your own plant medicine, this is the place to go.
