Wish there were a zero star option because that's what this place deserves. Booked an appointment with the technician support because phone was ghost touching and the screen was not responding. The technician person showed up clearly had some attitude. I don't even know if he fully ran any diagnostics before he said the phone can't be fixed because the Face ID is not working. And I need to replace the whole phone or get a new one. He didn't care try to help. Then I said I want to see some new Iphones. He goes you need to make another appointment and come back. What? The other representative told me due to covid I can't walk around but someone can bring the phone to me if I want to check it out. Christian (surfer looking guy) provided absolutely the best service I have ever experienced at an Apple store. This man definitely deserves a promotion or a raise of some sort. We came in to simply just purchase a new iPhone for my grandma and Christian went above and beyond of the normal customer service that I have previously had at an Apple store. He went through what options we had to purchase for a new iPhone, was very knowledgeable about the products and made it very easy for helping my grandma select what iPhone would be best for her. He also noticed my grandma's Apple Pay/Touch ID wasn't fully set up on her old iPhone, so helped her fully set up Touch ID for her Apple Pay (so this could later be transferred into her new phone) and was very cool, calm and patient with her for the entire process as she had trouble understanding how to properly set it up, much more patient that I could have ever been! But he didn't just simply help her set up Apple Pay/touch ID, he educated her on WHY it is important to get in the habit of using Apple Pay rather than pulling out her physical credit card to pay for things. Being in the times we are in now (COVID-19) he explained how important it is in keeping herself safe since she never has to hand over her credit card to anyone else and risk the spread of germs and bacteria. Christian was a very personable, knowledgeable and overall such a great employee that obviously loves his job and then some! Being an Apple customer for more than 10 years, I have never been so blown away by such excellent customer service! I'm hoping he doesn't leave anytime soon because I will definitely come back and ask for him when I make my next Apple purchase ! read more

I ordered a MacBook pro online and decided to pickup the same day. Got there in time within my pickup window. Once inside and introduced with an associate , I gave my details and was waiting for my order. I had simply asked if they have any cases available for the MacBook pro. Figure I ask while another associate is getting my order. Associate simply looked around and then told me to simply look ONLINE. Idk if they make commission when they make a sale instore? But it seemed like the associate didn't care because I had purchased online, and simply told me to look online. Associate could've looked or point me in the right way,but sadly didn't. First of all I finally got an appt to go in the store around 6:15 pm because the Iphone 11 I got from the Waikiki Store Sunday after taking it home was not working properly and I really need some thing bigger so when I was at the Center Monday I went to the Ala Moana around 5;45 early was told me to go to the other side to check in the employee did notice I was there finally she came and ask it I was coming for appt for either genius or sales I said both she than she said again is your visit genius or sales I said both again then she started to laugh at me so I told her why are you laughing at me even the guard heard the conversation then I ask for her mgr and she went inside to get a mgr and when he came out he took me away for the line to ask me what he could do for me I explain that I came here because I had appt and when I was talking to the girl who was in front started to laugh and I told him I do not take that lightly cause that was not right I explain why I was there and he told me that he was sorry about that and that he would talk to the employee about that. I was very upset because if you work in customer service no one should be treated that way he apologize to me reagarding her action said that he will be glad to take me in himself and so he did and had me stand at a table the front of the store. I waited a few min like 5mins than a guy name Christian who was understanding went out of his was to listen to me why I decided to return the phone and I told him the reason he showed me the style etc. I was still mad for how I was treated before coming in the store. Once I got into my finding of my new iphone 12 pro max I was getting better because I was in good hands Christian went out of his way to make a bad situation and turn it to a excellent service. I give him a high 5 for helping me and pick a phone that will be good for my needs. A word to the wise - do not use the delivery service. The extra $9 for delivery today was a complete waste. Driver was lost, unintelligible, in the wrong location, and it took me 10 minutes to go looking for him. He attempted to touch my phone while I was using it, and I reminded him to step away for social distancing. 20 minutes later, I am back home trying to get a refund for the $9. Went through their online process and after several minutes, the AI referred me to the 800#. Again a process to get to a person - who overexplained and then asked me to hold for 2 minutes. Decided I would call back after work. The 800# does not take HST into consideration, it's not operating at night. Called the store, explained the various methods I have already attempted. Mixed feelings about my overall experience. First, the good. Specialist, Christian Weeks, sold me an iPhone Pro Max and processed a $500 trade-in that essentially cut my bill in half. I had visited T-Mobile prior to this and their trade-in value for the same phone was only $200. Yikes! Christian was professional and attentive. He then transferred us to the setup table to finish setting up the phone if we needed a place to do so. We had a few questions, and the specialist manning the table was more than helpful assisting us. Nazareth tipped us off to a few new features of the phone, and showed us some helpful shortcuts. The one thorn in our experience was an unnamed asian female employee that rudely told us to "move aside" while we were waiting for the setup process to complete. Her nametag was not visible, and it was clear her only interest was in making a sale to the customer in her care. Unfortunately for her, the customer noticed her attitude and asked to be transferred to another specialist promptly. The employee then turned her anger towards us and said "you know, this desk is for Apple customers only. If you are not buying anything you need to leave." We decided not to escalate in reporting her to the store manager. She was likely having a bad day, and I am only having 1 star docked for an otherwise seamless experience at the Apple Store. read more

Friendly staff, but when we went to go in to fix a phone, the technicians were saying random statistics like, "there is a 0% that this will be fixed" without really looking at the phone. The apple technicians lack some knowledge. We went to get the phone fixed for $190 in Waipahu...we waited an hour and they said that it was an easy fix. read more

We have issues with shipments to Hawaii due to the battery. So I said strange, 3 watches, toe iPhones made it here direct from China, only requires it package has the battery identifier on it. How come Best Buy, all Apple Stores on island, military stores, Target, Costco, etc. have it in stock? Lazy Apple in CA cannot figure how to ship to Hawaii. He hung up. Before you enter the store, due to Covid you need an appointment you can't just walk in and roam the store. Their are 2 lines when you get their, one for no appointments made yet and the other for appointments made (but you can only checkin in the line 10mins prior to your appointment). Ok so let's get to my personal experience. I get their around 2pm with my husband and we were told it's about a 2-2 1/2hr wait, so an appointment was made for 4:30pm. However the gentleman who made the appointment said we could come back a little earlier and check to see if theirs an opening some times people don't show up to their appointment. ok fine, so we came back at around 4pm and was directed to the checkin line. got our temperatures taken awnsered the COVID questions and waited in Line, when we got to the front the girl said No!!! theirs no openings "that's why they make appointment times" in a very sassy tone. We got out of line and waited another 20mins infront of the store staring at the lines as people were confused on which one to stand in (no signage by the way) and getting in the checkin line with out getting their temps taken. I then notice theirs a changing of the guards of the ladies who take your temperatures, as 4:20 approaches my husband gets up and enters the checkin line again, getting his temperature and Covid questions done all over again. (i guess they don't want to take a chance on you catching COVID in the past 20mins. in their plain sight) Anyways, as he's in line I join him. The temperature girl comes up to me and asks if I have an appointment I said "yes" im with him as I'm pointing to my husband then she directs me to the line where appointment are first made. I said "No" i'm with my husband are appointment is in 10mins and I already had my temperature taken 20mins before you came.(I was pissed) due to the inconsistency. My husband turns to me and says Just do what she's asking since we've already waited the 2 1/2 hours. I comply and am immediately let in the store. So it already started with the first girl and her sassy attitude and then no communication with the changing of the guards of which customer who have been already screened but just waiting, You can clearly see, theirs not a solid control on the lines as so many people are coming up to ask questions and others sneaking behind, so they don't remember who's who. Mind you the waiting area outside on the shopping mall landscapes and Apples checkin line is all (OUTSIDE) like 10 feet from each other breathing the same air. I wish the lady who took my temp the first time told the next girl who was taking over the position. Ok, Apple is a billion dollar company just like many others. I'm sure they have a customer service program they put their employees through before they hit the floor. But here we are, we are 1 out of a million of apples customer and this probably won't matter to them but if I'm willing to pay $3,000 on your products today. I at least deserve some type of descent customer service. Everyone has a choice they don't need to buy any of your products and go somewhere else, but to keep your customers coming back or to obtain new ones it starts with the first encounters. And mines was horrible. However I will give this review 3 stars because when we finally got in the store (god forbid I wanted to walk off when that girl was implying i didn't have an appointment) the gentleman who sold us our products was super professional. Tried to install one of those MacBook Air updates but it crashed my laptop. It wouldn't turn on anymore. Waited almost 2 weeks for a "Genius" Bar appt, understandable during the pandemic. After diagnosing I was told it was a software problem - which makes sense bec my laptop was functioning perfectly w/o hiccups until I tried to install the update. The next morning I get a call saying it's my logic board and it's going to cost close to $400 bec it's no longer in warranty. The man insisted it was the logic board even after I pointed out my laptop was running smoothly up until the attempted install. Took my laptop to a small business owner who fixed the problem for $75 WITHOUT changing the logic board and able to retrieve my files. Imagine that: a non-genius bar tech that fixed my laptop's issue that was caused by an Apple install in the first place. read more

I was the second person in line, went in to have my cell phone checked. First person to 'greet' me was already in a bad mood, no hello, no how can I help you. He is a large man with a beard. Once I was set up with a technician, polite young man, he told me my phone would be repaired. A second man came and gave him the parts for my phone. 3 hours later, the box with the parts in it, never opened were still on the table. I was told I would have to purchase a new phone. Although they have a LARGE sign in front of the store stating they will buy your old phone, the offer was never made to me. It was odd how everyone in this store seemed so unhappy and unwilling to work. I overheard a conversation with a customer complaining of his wait time. There were only 4 customers in the store and over a dozen employees! I gave this store one star because I could not proceed with my review without giving it a star. I will never return to this Apple store, I have notified my family and friends of the lack of customer service at this store. I will also file a formal complaint. No ALOHA in this store! 02/07/21 My 2nd generation Apple Pencil broke - it was purchased in July 2020. I'm a student who avidly uses my Apple Pencil to take notes for classes so this was quite the tragedy lol. My bf took my pencil into this location on 2/6. The Genius Bar employee who helped him made my pencil a work order to authorize a replacement and told him that Apple would call him within a couple of days to let him know when to pick up the new pencil, but I'd have to pay $29 for the new one because it was out of warranty (apparently they only take products back within 2 weeks of purchase?). I'm not sure if the Genius Bar employee knew that my boyfriend came in wanting to walk out of the store with a new one right then and there? The employee said that the Kahala Apple location was the only store that had Apple pencils "in stock". ......Okay. Strange. He made my bf an appointment for an Apple Pencil pick up at Kahala for 12:45. Come to find out......... The Ala Moana location definitely DID have pencils in stock. So we ended up going BACK to the Ala Moana location on 2/7, purchased a pencil that was magically in stock, and was told to come back when they call to give me my $29 replacement and then I would be able to return the one I bought and get the refund. Quite honestly, the whole policy is just strange. I just wanted a new pencil just so I could go home and still be able to do my studies. I was willing to purchase a completely new pencil and just get refunded the balance of $100 ($129 - $29) all in one trip, right then and there but... I guess that's not the case? JUST WEIRD. I just hope for y'all's sake - your return process is much, much easier. UPDATE (2/12): My bf got a call on 2/10 saying that my Apple Pencil was ready for pick up, no appt needed. He was also told no appt was needed to come back for the pick up by the Genius Bar employee the first time he went to Apple) so pls tell me why I'm here now and they're telling me that I needed an appt and they're fully booked today......... tomorrow will be the FOURTH visit to the store. Repair my computer for 497 dollars and customer service is poor. The quality of the computer is not worth it! First, I didn't do anything to it the screen cracked by itself and they can not give any reason what cause this issue. NOT PROFESSIONAL!! Second, charge for this for $497 is too over. So I went in to make a appointment for my iPhone cuz it was out of service. And AT&T sent me to Apple Store cuz it might be the phone that's broken or the SIM card. The appointment wait was 2HOURS!! So I made a appointment at 2pm and be back at Apple at 4pm. I went a little shoe shopping for myself just to kill time. Once it hit 3:45pm I walked to Apple to check in. I sat on the Genius Bar table for my assistant to help me. I waited like 55mins exact cuz I was timing them and they forgot about me they said!! I WAITED ALMOST AN HOUR JUST TO GET MY PHONE FIXED!! Omg I was so pissed cuz I didn't get any service that I wanted!! It took a while I r them to see what the problem was with my phone. But they said that when they use there special AT&T card it works. They said "it's not the phone that's broken it's the SIM card" so I got my SIM card replaced at AT&T after the appointment at apples. But I seriously didn't like the service at Apple Store in ala moana!! I was about to walk out already cuz I couldn't wait anymore!! YAY!!!! So here's my short review on this fabulous store ... I FINALLY got my replacement phone!!! :D I now have in my hands my Iphone 6 ... Oh how I missed you!!! If you read my review for The PlayBar you'll understand why I had to get a replacement :( This is the first time I've ever had to come here for a replacement ... over all I've never had to come here unless I was picking up the latest gadget that came out. I'm an Apple freak .. so what!! Hahaha I love how the associates are never pushy, and don't bombard you with the standard "Is there something I can help you with?" ... But they know their stuff here and I don't have to go through 20 million people to get one answer .. like the competition across from them .. Can I even call them competition?! Lol ... cough cough .. granted the other side offers beverages and has it's own restrooms for public use .. I don't think Apple does, but it's really not a deal breaker for me. For me, its all about customer service and product knowledge. Yelp Challenge 365 # 106/365 About a month ago, I became a proud owner of an IPhone 4s. For all the times I said I would never get an IPhone.... sheesh! I have to eat my words. So here I am enjoying all the perquisites the phone has to offer and then!!!! DROP....CRASH.... CRACK.... Putting my phone in my bag, I was not paying attention and tripped...phone went flying to the ground :( I go to my phone service carrier who tells me I need to go to Apple...jump back in my car and drive to the Apple Store. Of course, they are crowded (when are they not?) but some nice CSR comes over and asks me if I have an appontment...I said no...He said no problem, looked at his list and said I have about a 5 minute wait. Sure enough, 5 minutes later I get called to the Genius Bar. Show them my phone and that's when I was given the bad news. I have to get a new phone and pay for it all over again! They don't fix the phones, they just replace them. But. he said it with a smile and with great confidence. No choice but to buy another phone...... it's okay. The service from the moment you walk into the store until you leave is enough to make you forget about the additional dollars I had to pay for another phone!!!! Well, it finally happened. Perhaps it seemed unlikely at the time, but I finally gave in so to speak. And, like many before me, including the biblical Eve and fairy tale Snow White, my temptation got the best of me and I succumbed to the goodness of the almighty Apple. In this case, no evil plan was concocted to lure or convince me to do anything. Simply put: I just merely made the decision to buy an iPhone 4S since my contract with my previous wireless carrier was coming to an end. And a fruitful end it was to be..... On the advice of a friend who has had an iPhone since 2007, I chose to purchase a phone and sign up with AT&T at the Apple store, versus going to an actual free-standing AT&T store. My friend advised this because (according to him) the Apple staff are trained to sell you what you need and do not suggest extra or unnecessary items, or plan add ons. Needless to say, this no pressure sales approach is what ultimately convinced me to visit the Apple store. NOTE: At the iPhones display table, there are iPads placed by each phone that list and compare plans/rates/prices from the 3 wireless carriers you can sign up with: AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. The side by side plan comparison was extremely helpful, and I would think most consumers may find it beneficial to help them make a decision. The sales associate that helped me sign up and processed my entire transaction from start to finish was Kainoa. I absolutely commend him on his exemplary customer services skills, knowledge of the product, as well as his never-ending patience. And, of course, everything my friend said was utterly true: Kainoa was very polite and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need......except a case, which I already bought a few weeks prior. The entire process was more lengthy than I expected, but this was due in part to a credit check required by AT&T. After I finished my transaction with Kainoa, he led me to their "personal set up" station/table where their technician was going to attempt to transfer my contact list from my old phone (from T-Mobile) to my new phone. Like Kainoa, Jeff also possessed the same quality level of customer service and knowledge. I also was thankful he was so patient as I tried to locate the "communication" settings in my old phone so he could complete the transfer of contacts. In the end, I was unsuccessful in locating the function, but made sure to thank him profusely for his attempt before leaving. SHOULD KNOW: After my number was successfully "ported" from T-Mobile, I was informed that it could take up to 6 hours before the iPhone could be used to make/receive calls/texts. Thankfully, it was working properly as soon as we left the store!! Bottom Line: Terrific experience overall! Exceptional customer service was provided by knowledgeable and helpful employees. read more

Would love to say I'm still checked in but I left pretty quickly. The cranky bouncer at the front does an excellent job of running customers away. We were outside waiting to get in and got griped at for not wearing a mask. Uhm, the Hawaiian government no longer requires a mask if you are outside and the mall where you work is very explicit that they are an outdoor mall, masks required only inside a store. Nope, cranky dude apparently has authority to override local regulations and guidelines of the mall where is store is. You can't even stand in line at Apple unless you are masked up. I get the safety but really, you aren't the police, the governor, or the property owner. No wonder malls struggle, online is so much easier than dealing with people who become power mongers. LOVE the employees--HATE the store. A typical visit for me: 1. Make online appointment for the Genius Bar at least a couple of hours in advance. 2. Get an early start over to the store to ensure I arrive well in advance of my appointment (I learned the hard way that if you're even a couple of minutes late, you lose your appointment and go to the back of the line). 3. Get to the store and fight that feeling of nausea that comes over me when I see wall-to-wall people. 4. Edge my way into the noisy throng and attempt to find an employee to check in with. 5. Get buffeted on all sides by the other 5,000 people in the store who are there to browse, suck up bandwidth, or legitimately conduct business. 6. Wait around for 10-15 minutes, on average, for a Genius (Apple employee) to help me with my service appointment while amusing myself looking at the fun/cool/innovative products. 7. Receive help from an Apple Genius (oh joy!) and feel my blood pressure begin to decrease to a more healthy level. 8. Try not to spend too much money before beating a hasty retreat upon the completion of my service appointment. The Apple Store gets five stars for customer service. Employees have always done a fantastic job of providing friendly help and make me feel that the inconvenience and wait are worth it. The product line gets three stars: five for product innovation, two for price and in-store selection. The fact that the store is always jam-packed with everyone-and-their-brother makes it feel a hassle, which is unfortunate, giving the atmosphere a one-star feel. Not their fault, but I gotta call it like I see it. The Apple Store at Ala Moana is currently being renovated and has relocated to a temporary location a couple of doors over to an even smaller space. This Apple store stinks! Like literally. As soon as that door opens, you can feel and smell that gush of stinking air from inside the store! hope they do something about it. Plus, Customer service doesnt help increase this rating. A while back i went to this store asking if they can fix the screen on my ipod. They told me they can no longer fix it but they can give me $70 credit for a new one. I told them i didnt have the money to buy a new one right away, also because the ipod i had was given to me as a gift by my significant other, and it still works only the screen had some dead pixels... After a few weeks, i finally decided to get that store credit with the permission of my partner. We went to the store waited 2 hours for our turn and to our surprise, the store credit went down to around $30?! I was soooo irked that i asked that I speak to the manager or whoever is in charge. I hate it when they answer you sarcastically, and have someone from the other room come out and act like a manager when in fact that person is also just one of those so-called "genius" at the store. Let me start off by saying that I am an Android user and definitely a fan of the Samsung S Series cell phone. That being said, I had to go to the Apple store because somebody forgot their Apple phone at one of my parties and I didn't have an apple charger to determine who the phone belonged to. Frankly, I don't understand why this place is so busy but it must be great stuff that I'm just not understanding. I was directed to a customer service representative who said he would have a manager come out to see me. When the manager came out only a few minutes later, he took all the time necessary to charge the found cell phone and try to determine who it belonged to. He said he could run an internal scan but its a privacy thing so he can't tell me who it belongs to. No problem, my goal was just to have it returned to its rightful owner. You know what, Ala Moana Apple Store? I'm done with you. Really and truly done. My last experience with your store left me feeling bad about spending my money with you. I'm off to Kahala from now on, where I might feel just a bit of appreciation for the money I spend on Apple products. Yesterday I ran in to buy a nano. My husband has a Touch that has stopped producing sound for some reason, making it not at all useful at the gym. I decided that a nano and a watchband made the most sense for workouts, so off I went to the Apple Store. The store was crowded, but not terribly so. Still, I wasn't greeted, wasn't noticed, wasn't seen. I walked up to the wall, picked out the band I needed, and stood by the table with the nanos and shuffles. And then I waited. And waited. I had my hand on the item I wanted to buy. I has another item in my other hand. My purse was open and on the counter. Nothing. I looked around, and could not make eye contact. I waited. Finally, someone in a blue shirt noticed me. Was it someone who could help? No. It was someone who could call over someone who could help, though, so she did, and then left. Blue shirt number 2 wandered over and I told him what I needed. He repeated my request, typed it into his computer, and then we waited together. Silently. No conversation that wasn't initiated by me, and nothing past the question I asked. Sad, especially since the question I asked was "Why is it suddenly so difficult to get someone's attention in this store?" His response was that they were busy. And then the conversation ended. Eventually, blue shirt number 3 walked past us and handed blue shirt number 2 my item. Blue shirt number 3 did not make eye contact with either one of us. Just walked by, holding out the box. I handed over my card, asked that the receipt be emailed to me, and left, wishing like anything that I had kept my money in my pocket. Long story, really long. We live on Kauai and went to Oahu for a surprise birthday trip for my boyfriend's sister. Went to the Apple store first thing (since we don't have these stores on our small island) to go fix my boyfriends air pods. Kailey and Whit were amazing. Walked right in and our girl Kailey took care of us. She set us up with Whit and she took care of the air pods within minutes! Left happy and didn't think we'd be back! Little did we know... Later that day, we went to the beach (in front of Dukes area) and hung out for about 15 minutes then all our IDs Credit cards, clothes , phones were taken! Of course we were dumb enough to just put them all in one easy-to-take-bag . We didn't know what to do after the police report, so we went back to our store that took such great care of us. She set all three of us up on all the computers to "Find my iPhone". Worked with us to tell us our options. They are great. Starbucks gift card or something from that bougie store KITH next door. AppleCare+ because Apple cares. I set up a new iPhone 8+ with Ryan, who was a trooper through the entire process. The first phone that was sold to me online via Apple had hardware issues and encountered several errors that prevented a migration from an existing back up. Ryan kept his cool and worked through the issues with Aaron. The store was packed with Memorial Day shoppers, but Ryan was able to spend the one-on-one time with me to make sure that the phone was properly set up. The added convenience of purchasing the device for in-store pick up made this experience easier. I would not have been able to set up the phone on my own due to the hardware issue and appreciated having Ryan there in person to troubleshoot. I left the Apple Store with a properly set up device and few new lightning cables to make my life easier. Broken lightning cables are the worst, right up there with hang nails and restaurant cups with teeth marks on them. read more

Made an appointment today with the Genius Bar on line about 11:30am today. I got a 2:00pm appointment because my Magic Mouse stopped working. 2:00pm shoulder to shoulder freaking people. OMG. But, it is always like that at Ala Moana.You have to check in with the dude or dudette at the entrance. Went to the back and within 2 minutes a very nice lady helped me. She got a laptop and verified that the mouse was dead. Within 10 minutes I was out the door with a brand new Magic mouse. She was calm and able to diagnose the situation inspite of total mayhem going on around us. In the brief time I was waiting for my new Magic mouse to arrive I witnessed a clueless customer holding an item that he wanted to purchase. The customer looked like Kumar. You know from "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle". He was looking for a cash register to pay for the item. What country is this guy from? An Apple employee with a blue shirt spotted him and very patiently explained to him that any person with a blue shirt could complete his transaction but he was busy helping someone else...and in a split second he realized the guy was still confused he spotted another Apple blue shirted guy and asked him to help Kumar. The new Blue Shirt said "yes I'll help him!" and whipped out his special iPhone to complete the transaction. Right there on the spot! Also, in those brief 5 minutes, I counted the number of Apple employees. Easy because they all had blue shirts on. I counted 13 in the area around the Genius Desk. Since that was about 25% of the store area...I estimated there must be at least 25 employees in this very small store. What other small Mall store has 25 employees. None! Most have one or two plus perhaps a security guard if they are a "Designer" brand. After I got out of the crowded Apple Store I checked out the space where they are remodeling the old Apple Store and enlarging it to about 3 times the original size. You can look in thru the cracks between the doors. It's almost done.I took a pic thru the crack and put it on FB. It's really big. Lots of tables all over the interior. I'll say it only once...it's not going to be big enough...I'm just say'in...within 90 days they will have out grown the new store. Honolulu deserves a store like NYC with a Glass Cube Architecture and an underground store. I was going to rate this place 4 stars because it is sooo F#**#'n crowded. But, I think the customer service is so remarkable it deserves a full 5 stars. read more

My old iPhone 6s was on its last leg so it seemed like I finally had to cave and buy a new iPhone. My family and I arrived at the apple store and no employee had approached me (usually they're very good about asking if you need help with anything or why you're visiting). My mom asked an employee to place me on the "help waitlist" which took about 13 minutes to be helped (it was at 8 PM on a Tuesday and not busy). During that time of waiting to be approached and being on a waitlist, the security talked with me and was incredibly more helpful than anyone else employed! He was discussing the pros and cons between different models and what he preferred. So nice!!! I wish I knew his name because he was kind and informative. Once helped, it seemed that the employee was irritated with me and just wanted to get my sale over with. I get it, I've worked in retail for a pretty long time and am incredibly sympathetic towards others in retail. However, one would think that since I am purchasing over $1,000 in apple products, he would've acted a bit more customer oriented towards myself and my sister. The employee who pulled my new phone for me from the back was friendly and informative (and excited!!!), but I interacted with her for only a minute or two. I'm glad I have my new phone, but decided not to buy my case or screen protector from the store because of the lack of customer service. Nah, for real Apple Store, why you gotta be so crowded full of people doing FB, skyping, looking up BAD sites, laughing with friends, listening to music, buying a hella bunch of stuff and just overall BUSY! What the heck? OHHH, I know why cause you somewhat rule the world with your no discounts, brick and mortar sense of ease, and just plain good products. Good customer service with their 100 reps running around, great use of space, and just a great place to hang out if you need to kill some time. Can you please put a sign that says, "You will find something in here that your absolutely need so you might as well take out your charge card and slap it on your forehead" cause that is usually what happens when I go there. Bad customer service! Many sales people walking around but NO help. I guess they only help when you already purchased something. Very disappointing when you have to make appointment online and wait half hour until 5 minutes before appointment time outside and go in and stand for another half hour before they decide to come help. I guess I'll only come IF someone wants me to pick up something again for them. I'll go other places where I'll get better service or order online. Never been disappointed until now. read more

Apple workers at the Genius Bar don't understand the impact and headache that they cause customers. They are a prime example of a little knowledge is dangerous. Last week came in due to bad battery in iPad. For some reason the Tech person said they had to restore the unit to factory settings in order to test battery. Ended up with Loosing all data from the last year. The data was within the app used for my work. Lost forever and unretrievable. Then he said the battery tested and is working fine. 48% battery at this point. Was told a fully charged unit should last about 12 hours. Ten mins later battery down to 17%. He ended up finally ordering me a new iPad. Lost data will never be accessed. Forever gone. read more

As usual the most of the workers at this location are too busy to be bothered and to lazy to look like professionals. One person greeted us and because she did I will rave at how great her service was. Her name is Kristen and I'll be her customer. She did just 2 things : 1) said Hello 2) asked if I needed help.... Is that SOOOO HARD? There are items priced the same as an Apple product at designer stores and they greet u and dress the representation of their product. U got kids in slippers selling me a 2grand laptop and cant say hello....? Go to Kahala or Royal Hawaiian...or visit KRISTEN at Ala Moana. read more

Today I came into the (Ala Moana) store with my stroller and baby girl. I want to thank Candy for helping me with my new Iwatch and send a big hug. I was able to pick out the perfect Nike light pink band thanks to her. She was very patient and kind. What I didn't like was when she asked another manager for assistance. He was so rude and demeaning to her in front of me. "Weren't you at that meeting I had. If you were there, you'd know about this." As though she was stupid. She isn't. No manager should talk to an employee that way in front of a customer. That is workplace bullying and harassment and should not be tolerated on company grounds. Another thing that really bothers me is that manager did this in front of my child. Showing her that it is okay for men to disrespect women and there is no consequences. I hold a degree in business management. I've also survived workplace bullying myself. I cannot sit by and say nothing. So I'm writing it here.
