They are very communicative throughout the process and send you excellent documentation with photos! I was excited to go to Apple as they are a community business. I took a vehicle to get an inspection. They looked at the vehicle and provided an appointment and price. During the the day of visit, the receptionist called me 1 hour after dropping it off and stated the lift couldn't lift it. After asking several questions as we took it in to be evaluated to see if they could do the job before hand. She then stated something was wrong with their lift and tried to charge me a whole lot more. I asked to speak to a manager and she said no. It is very disheartening that they wanted to charge me addition fees due to their malfunctioning lift. read more

The day after I took my car into a Dealership for oil change and maintenance (June 2019) I received an email for numerous items needing immediate attention. CROOKS!!!! I specifically took my car for a knocking noise in the left back tire driver side. I've been riding with this knocking noise for awhile so I know exactly how it sounds. I was told that it was the rear knuckles. My car was there for THREE DAYS, I dropped my car off on Monday morning didn't get it back till Thursday afternoon . I never complained because of the reviews, I thought they were doing me right. When I got the call that my car was ready I was told that the knocking noise was gone but there was a slight noise that was from rear shocks that would cost me an additional $616. I already paid $1263.14 fuel injection was $80. I pick my car up start driving and I hear a noise so I drove for a couple a blocks until I heard the SAME EXACT NOISE I SAID WAS THE ISSUE. I called and spoke with Dan and said that what I brought the car up there for you guys didn't fix. He tells me what they did fix and I said well the problem that I wanted fixed is still there. No resolution. Just awful to cheat someone out of their hard earn money!!!! Never again will I go there. I will dispute this with my credit card company but if that fails I'm going to courat. I work two jobs and saved just so I can finally get this fixed and it's still not done so disappointed. read more

I can't say enough good things about Apple Auto. They've been super helpful, accommodating with scheduling, they're upfront and honest about costs, and they really seem to care about their customers and their community. Today when my husband was checking out, they applied a coupon we hadn't even known about, taking a generous amount off of our bill. They gave us a good heads-up warning at our last oil change that we'd be needing some more significant work (rear brakes, tires) at the next oil change, so we were able to prepare for that financially, which was a big help. They've never cornered me into feeling like I need to upgrade things on the spot or put unnecessary pressure on me. I really appreciate their work, as well as their customer service. read more

If you are looking for an honest mechanic, you are looking at the right place!!! This review may be a little lengthy, but I like to give full detail so people can make their own decisions. I scheduled a high price job (direct injection high pressure fuel pump) to do be completed on Nov 10, 2021. This shop was the only shop that scheduled the labor to be done the next day or two days away. Everyone else was talking a week to two weeks. I dropped my car off on Nov 12, 2021 a little after 8 am. After telling them a story straight out of The Twilight Zone, I left my car in their hands. I get a call sometime after 2 pm to inform me of a couple of things that was very informational. The first was previous work I had done on the car was done and was done correctly. They saved the previous mechanic's tail with that info!! The second was what my car really needed and it was way over the price of the fuel pump with 10-12 hrs of added labor. The 3rd was giving advice on what I should do. They waited to hear back from me on my decision. No harassment. No bullying. These gentlemen could have easily just done the work I schedule and took my money without saying a word. Instead, they chose honesty, amazing customer service and took the time to build a reputable relationship that earned my trust. This place restored my faith in mechanics in this city full of scammers and dishonest people. Shoutout to Peyton, Ms. Janice and BJ (the owner). Apple Auto will always have a customer in me. I have been using Apple Auto (Harford Road) for years. In June I called to make an appointment (oil change) for August because I was going on vacation and I always like to do things before hand to anticipate issues. The lady on the phone gave me the appointment for yesterday (August 20) at 8am and asked me whether I wanted to drop my car off or to wait until done. I chose the second option because usually changing the oil is not a big deal. For two months Apple Auto didn't communicate with me at all (no texts, emails or calls). Yesterday I showed up and first of all, the guy dealing with me could not find me in the list for appointment on their computer. The lady at the desk (no idea if she is the one I talked to in June although I suspected it was her) said my name was on the notebook. Second they said they were not doing wait ins at the moment. I said I had nobody with me because they told me in June I could wait there. I asked if they could give me a ride (like they have done in the past). They said they were working around the clock and that wasn't possible (even though I live 5 min away by car and they knew it). Bottom line is that they changed their rules over the summer and didn't bother to communicate that to customer. The worst part of all is that even though they had made it wrong twice at the time of making the appointment (not putting me in the system, misinforming me about what I could do in the meantime), they had the change to make it right on the spot (by giving me a 5-min ride) but they weren't smart enough (from a business point of view) to do that. I would not be writing this bad review otherwise. I had to walk home in the rain for 25 minutes. I know they have good mechanics and good prices but they have no clue about good customer service and administrative efficiency. Even though they deal with cars, they still need good people skills and a minimum of education to avoid poor judgement decision and to discern what is going to be good or bad for their business. Cars don't drive themselves to the shop nor call to make the appointments. You still deal with people, learn how to treat them! I guess this pandemic has shown the good and the bad for everybody, including businesses. You lost me! You will have to do 100 times better to get me back! read more

These guys are great. They are always very responsive, good at prioritizing short-term repairs vs. things to work on in the future, and very patient at explaining the inner workings of the vehicle. I brought my 2006 Civic here after my warranty had been expired for a while, and my dealership told me I needed a good deal of maintenance done that would set me back around $300. My brother recommended Apple Auto to me, and I am so glad he did. When I brought my car in and told him what the dealership said I needed verses what I could afford, Dave worked out what absolutely had to be done at that time, and what could wait for the next time I came in for maintenance. His prices were much lower than the dealership, of course. The best part was that Dave explained things to me in a way that I could understand without being condescending or impatient. I really appreciate his friendly and helpful attitude, and will gladly make the trip to Hamilton from Towson to bring my car to Apple. read more

been here several times. they tried to upsell me each time (and are fairly expensive in the first place), left parts off they removed, and broke something else (less than $10 for two of the part, replacement is less than a 5 minute process), then wanted to charge me $150 to replace it. i was recommended them on the basis of inspections, and maybe they're good at that, but i cant rationalize giving them any more money. they had a friendly disposition at least, so they get a star for that. read more
