Waiting in line for my 1:30 appointment.

We came on needing new devices and help because one was dead. The service was incredible. Especially Angelica who was so patient with my husband helping him get his watch paired with a new phone. The techs tried to save that iPad but it was toast so we are fingers crossed cloud has most of what is needed to get the new iPad hubby got up and running. Thanks for a good experience. Finally!

General area

This Apple Store in Bellevue Square is located upstairs near Nordstrom. There's no restroom inside the store, just shared ones in the mall. I visited to try out the newer iPhone cameras. The store is clean and the layout is easy to navigate. The staff were on point, and it's worth noting they are polite, quick to help, but not overly aggressive. It's what you expect from Apple. Great visit overall and a solid in-store experience. Efficient: Yes First-Time Friendliness: Yes Would I Return: Yes JY review

Busy store. We stopped by to pick up phones, but they didn't have any in stock. We did get a watch. On another day we picked up cell phone cases. The staff was very quick to offer help. The store is average size. They have new products on display on tables around the store. On both days we stopped by, and they were giving a tutorial on how to use their product. I found this handy. My parents are older, and this kind of hands-on tutorial would have been great. On a side note, if they don't have what you are looking for in stock you can order online.

Retail stores in general get a bad rap on customer service and while everyone is entitled to their opinion, I'd like to add some context on why I gave 5 stars. I visited the store on launch day of the iphone 13 models. I had a pre-ordered the phone. I arrived in my window but was surprised to see a line out the store and around it. At first I was thinking, "what's the point of giving you an appointment window when you give it to 20 other people?" I then took a moment and thought, okay lets evaluate this on how I am treated by the actual human beings in the store. Let me just say that every interaction was a pleasant one. You could tell the employees were doing their best with the huge lines and trying to accommodate everyone's needs. In a environment such as this, you encounter all sorts of skill and experience levels from the customers who are coming in for an event like this. Personally, I would of had little patience for people who didn't realize you needed to back up your phone beforehand or bring your ID (things mentioned in the pre-order email) but as I witness these things, the Apple employees showed patience and kindness during these interactions. My interaction and transaction was pretty straight forward. I knew what to expect when buying a new phone and trading in my older one. The small talk was great while waiting for the transaction to be complete and I look forward to my next visit there (hello new apple watch).

This store is the most convenient for us but definitely has the worst customer service of all the Apple Stores I have been to.

I chose to pickup my purchase at the Bellevue store. About 2 months and and 1 or 2 day days of ownership, the laptop was EXTREMELY HOT to the touch. Hot enough to cause burns. I was using the original included charger. And the laptop was on a hard flat surface as recommended. After unplugging it, it was still very hot after over 5 hours. I put a box fan next to it and direct airflow over it. Once it was cool to the touch, it would boot up as far as the log-in screen and then shut off completely. It did that twice. I'm not plugging it in again. EVER. I felt like had I not unplugged it when I did, it woud've caught fire in minutes or seconds. I went to Best Buy and the guy in the computer area and explained what happened. He said basically, tough luck. Even though I'm a rewards member. Deal with Lenovo. He actually BLAMED ME for purchasing from the Best Buy website, because if I would have done it in person they would've sold me an extended service plan and warranty. What the hell? it's only two months old! and well within its warranty period. All I expected was some kind of store credit, not even 100%, whether Lenovo repaired it or not, so I could purchase an Apple product from them. Partial credit would've been fine to keep me as a customer. Sales guy said they couldn't do anything for me and I should've bought something with an Intel processor, because he was wearing a shirt with an Intel logo. If he was joking, it wasn't funny, because Best Buy just lost a customer with disposable income and an amazing credit score. I am never setting foot inside a Best Buy store again. Even if I have to take leak, I'll go somewhere else. I literally won't take a piss in a Best Buy store.

On top of that, this is only 1 of 2 certified places that can repair my Lenovo laptop and I had to drive hours to just pick up and drop off my laptop. They offer shipping, but that's more money out of your pocket for them to use on top of the diagnosis cost, repair costs, and cost for any other supplies. Whenever I asked for a time estimate on how long it would take to diagnose my laptop or to see what's wrong they can never give me an accurate time. They always say a couple hours or the next day. They told me that they would be able to fix my keyboard in one day once it arrives, and I bring my laptop thinking that I can wait there a couple hours for them to fix it and then they tell me that they can't guarantee that will be done that day. I literally drove all the way home to get a phone call saying that my laptop was ready to pick up! I could had waited if it was only going to take a couple hours oh, but they couldn't tell me. They definitely do not speak the customers language or put them first. I feel like they're more in it for the money then going above and beyond for customers. I've literally wasted hours of driving back and forth just to get my laptop keyboard fixed. When I finally received my laptop, they fixed the problem, BUT added another irrelevant problem! My laptop's battery now isn't being detected by the system and isn't charging and has to be connected to an adapter at all times to function. Now I have to pay another trip to Redmond to fix this new problem! Absolutely more inconvenience on my plate! Don't be surprised if you bring your laptop here and get it back with another problem, because that's what happened to me.

I asked about them in the store and was led to a plastic box that was filled with identical wireless keyboard mouse combos. I picked one out and asked where the chip was. This should have tipped off the clerk that I was not tech savvy. As I suspect many of there customers are not. She told me the toggle was under the mouse. I got the set home and did not see a toggle under the mouse (latter I found out she was saying dongle). I looked in the battery chambers of both the keyboard and mouse and did not see it. I called the them and was told to check the battery chambers of both the keyboard and mouse and once again I didn't see it. I was told that this would be a once in a lifetime that a chip was not with the keyboard. I brought the unit in and we looked in the keyboard battery area next. Then we looked we looked at the mouse and they pointed out a built in dongle compartment in the battery chamber of the mouse. I was never told there could be a built in compartment when I was in the store or later on the phone. I have since find some YouTube videos that explain where to find the dongle. This tells me I'm not that only one to have trouble finding it.

I originally connected Netflix with TMobile and received a confirmation that it was connected. Except that it wasn't and I was being charged in full for Netflix instead of getting the promotion of basic Netflix on them. In December of 2024 I had a chat with a TMobile representative, helping me reconnect Netflix to TMobile. I have a full copy of the chat, where the representative confirmed that it was connected. It got disconnected at some point and I have not received the Netflix benefit again. I just called TMobile and the most unprofessional and unhelpful discussion with Customer Service. They agreed to reconnect it, but actually blamed me for disconnecting it (which I didn't do) because they had no record of it. They also blamed me for not being proactive about this issue. I actually asked only for a credit of 50% of the amount I shouldn't have paid. They told me to call Netflix. Netflix has no connection to TMobile's benefit, and TMobile still said I should ask them for a credit. TMobile refused to contact them and wanted me to be middle man. I initially spoke with Bonez in Customer Service. He seemed helpful until his only solution was for me to call Netflix. Everything went downhill and I had to asked at least 15 times to speak with a supervisor. Finally I spoke with Chase, who parroted everything Bonez said. I asked to speak with his supervisor but said there was no one there that could do anything else. He then refused to give me the name or department of someone else I could talk with. Extremely bad experience with TMobile since 2024. Great prices, but terrible customer service when really needed, or not providing a service they said they would makes the great price not really great.
