    Chicken sandwich

There was a special offer on Fandango to watch the movie Lee Cronins The Mummy on the Screen X projection so we had to venture out to this theater. Apon arriving I will say the parking garage is soooo damn confusing so make sure your paying attention to where you park and which elevators you take. When we finally made it to the theater, we were surprised to see how empty it was for a Friday night at 6pm. Not complaining at all just to make note seems that's the perfect showtime. When you enter you are greeted by staff who proceed to explain to you the newest form of technology to order your snacks from the concession stand. It almost felt redundant to introduce a new way of purchasing items to not interact with a human and yet, the staff helped us throughout the whole way. There is a wall of all the snacks printed with a barcode which you take with you and then proceed to scan in order to pay. For our movie we opted for the chicken sandwich (that comes with fries) and of course a slushy drink. I did see that the popcorn was self serve so next time I will definitely indulge. There were soooo many flavors of slushies instead of the basic coke, blueberry raspberry and cherry! When we entered the theater for ScreenX it was one of the biggest theaters I've ever been too! I liked how they seemed to have the rows separated for minimal disturbances. I will say though the ScreenX is definitely gimmicky. Throughout the movie some scenes were not ScreenX adapted I presume because it did not take up all the screens. But it was VERY loud. Almost too loud that I found myself covering my ears at times because it was way too much. As for the food this was the best theater food I have ever had. The chicken was nice and crunchy and hot! And the chicken didn't have those weird fatty/mystery pieces theater chicken usually has.

IMAX or nothing. Nice theatre but they really need to upgrade to the real deal. Like to see a 70mm besides NYC.

Great theater! The atmosphere and experience has improved since opening and they have paint and sip nights.

The line for concessions was crazy long and made us miss the start of the movie. The imax theater has a lot of steps. It's a unique design, but not very accessible. I also didn't find the quality of the screen to be anything special. On the positive side, the seats were comfortable and roomy. The popcorn was fresh. The bathrooms were clean.

Since I've been in all the theaters let me break it down. IMAX - as a kid, I saw the dark Knight movie with my dad here and I thought it was amazing. Then I saw Demon Slayer recently and realized this theater...kinda sucks. It needs to be updated seats wise. The screen in this theater is the largest though, and you actually have to climb stairs to get on the platform to watch the movie. 4DX - I was disappointed by my Demon Slayer IMAX adventure so I ended up seeing the dubbed version (to change things up) in 4DX. I had a freaking BLAST because this movie had a lot of elements and they are fighting and falling, you go on quite the journey in that chair. I was worried that if I had popcorn, it would fly everywhere but that didn't really happen much in this movie. However, when I saw chainsaw man in the same theater, even though it started off, kind of slow the explosions in that movie made me feel like I was slipping out of my seat if I wasn't holding the cupholders. I can see why some people may not like this, especially if you're prone to motion sickness. RPX - honestly, it's the best of both worlds. The seats are comfortable, the screen is large, and it's an enjoyable experience. Overall, I love this movie theater, and I always will. I hope the screen explanations help!

Patrons are respectful of others here. The QR-menu ordering system was problematic, awkward, and time consuming. I imagine if you're an Alamo Drafthouse regular who is locked-in on what to order and memorized the process already, nbd. But it was a hassle for me. Plus, I used to enjoy the brief but pleasant interactions with the staff during the ordering process. Also, at this particular location the bathrooms could be a bit cleaner.

Finally got an excuse with the Super Mario brothers movie to come by. 'Cool' is the word when it comes for what they're going for with Alamo. It's located in the back of a shopping center with ample parking, however the decor is very nice inside. They had a headless horseman figure, a well designed lobby, clean bathrooms, and a few games for the kids. Also had a Super Mario poster kids could take pics in front of. Bar looked great too. They like their retro vibes, and the old school Mario cartoons/shows before the movie was a nice touch; saw some Godzilla stuff I might come back for too. Food was easy to order from your seat. Why only 3 stars? Service was very uneven. My food and my son's food came out immediately, however my wife's food (and a side of sauce for me) took 20min. I flagged this multiple times in the app without acknowledgement, so eventually grabbed someone only to get a boilerplate answer of 'we're working on everyone's food'. Luckily her food came independently right after, but she was starving so not a great experience. My food was cold when it came, however the boneless chicken wings were very good. Still sucked for her. My beer was also flat when it arrived, however I do t expect the world there when it comes to a theater (although if they poured it with more head it might've been fine). Lastly, my chair's back didn't recline much, which prevented me from the nap I planned to take during this movie. Could've been worse, however also could've been better. I am open to going Alamo 1 more shot, however might be just for me and friends versus a family. They really need to work on the operational back end here, as the place is cool as hell and I'd love to be a regular if they had things together.

I'm not complaining! Loved the large extended leather chairs, great sound and truly what seemed like a private showing -- I mean we're talking 'small,' as in 'tiny!' Pretty cool! The only negative was the fact people (adults) sat on the one side and let their kids go ape $#*! on the other side! Remember, this is a SMALL venue. It reminded me of what I hate about a similar cinema in Pleasantville -- a lot of privileged people on their phones, feet on the chairs, talking... but I digress! Anyway, I can't wait to go back and see something else, and hopefully in the same theater. If I see kids again, I'm getting my money back! I really want to know if the other theaters are the same size or larger. Assuming larger! Oh, parking was brutal -- almost non-existent!
