I really wanted to enjoy my time here at Look but it was honestly a disaster. The place is great in itself, this is for sure a management and execution problem. The workers here seem to simply not care about anything. Any question goes over their head and after a while it feels like you're begging for answers after spending your money. I came to see insidious and actually arrived before most people in the room. I ordered my food and somehow never received it for the entire movie. I kept asking one of the workers and he kept telling me it was coming until the movie was finishing and he tells me finally I should ask for a refund. It's one of those situations where they give you generic answers to keep you happy until they realize there's nothing that can be done. The place itself is nice, functional. Beautiful bathrooms. The area really needs places like these for people to have fun but for them to actually be good and enjoyable we need a change of management asap! read more

This place could be amazing. If it were just managed better it would be worth the prices. 3 "adult" (which includes 13 and up) tickets plus one child: $85 online on their website. Hefty. Seats are great and all, but that's about it. There have been a few employees that stood out over the last couple of years but mostly it's lots of mistakes. The servers are very nice always but basic things like napkins and condiments rarely are provided without asking and then waiting for quite a while as they hustle to their other orders. The food has gone from hit or miss to abysmal. Anything other than popcorn or boxed candy and you're most likely going to be disappointed. I mean. Pizza, fries and chicken fingers come out nasty. If you can't even get those basics to taste good I'd hate to see what the rest of the food is like. Is it all just frozen microwaved food? It sure seems like it. Tonight we had pretzel bites. We've enjoyed them sometimes before (sometimes they're great. Sometimes they're almost raw in the middle) but tonight they served smaller, barely salted bites that were lukewarm at best. I'm pretty sure they forgot to bring them because our drinks and candy came quickly but the bites took a good hour. The floor is always sticky. Always. I get it. People are pigs and the patrons are to blame too but maybe swiffing or something between shows would help. Tables are also hit or miss w stickiness. The bathrooms are literally hell on earth. Not once have I gone and they're cleaned up w toilet paper and soap available to use instead of being all over the floor and sink. Again, disgusting patrons are to blame for that but where's the restock? I can't overstate this: the ladies room is ALWAYS a disaster. Anyhow. Guess I needed to vent after tonight's experience. I wanted to like this spot, but it just felt like a poor experience. My partner and I grabbed some food at the mini bar/restaurant while we waited for our movie to start. The people working at the bar were disorganized, seemingly having trouble managing the drink and food orders by various patrons. The high-top chairs were very uncomfortable, and our table was sticky. Lastly, they were out of many food and drink options on the menu during this weekend night. The food we eventually did get was meh. It was our first visit to this cinema. I purchased our designated seats on-line after reading a dozen reviews from prior customers. From those reviews, it was clear that the food was not viewed favorably. We therefore stopped for pizza before going to the theater. On this Friday night, I was very happy to find free parking, just steps from the entrance door. From our first steps into the lobby, the ambiance is upscale. At the "box office" I received an apology that food offerings were very limited that night. I thought, well we made the right decision to grab a bite before arriving! The theater, the wide comfortable reclining seats, their cup holders and swivel table tops proved Wonderful. So Very Comfortable, clean and second to no other theater anywhere nearby. The audio quality in theater #6 was adequate. Westchester County has lost many, many movie theaters over the past 10 years. Though far from perfect, this cinema will now be our 1st Choice. read more

Lately the popcorn has been hit or miss. The latest visit we got last licks of the popcorn. Between 1/4-1/2 of it was so tiny it filled the bowl but you couldn't eat it. I would have rather waited for them to make more instead of receive bottom of the barrel. My new go-to entree has become the cheese quesadilla. I really like it. Thank god they give you four pieces because if it were three or less I wouldn't go for it. The value wouldn't be there. Especially since they keep undercooking the sweet potato fries for a numberrr of visits now. I pretty much stick to their popcorn and cheese quesadilla. I find little value/health/interest in many of the other options. Looking forward to possibly one day being able to order from Mirabella to my movie seat? That's one rumor I've heard. Who doesn't love the movies? This is your standard dine in cinema experience. Bathrooms are kept clean and stocked. Service in theater is very hit or miss. Last time I was here, the servers were stonily silent. When I asked (and asked) for a water for my son, I waited 40 minutes and ended up having to get up and go to the bar for it. He's 5 so he didn't love that. Other times the servers have been friendly and quick. Also, while the servers in theater are hit or miss, all the other theater staff has been great. read more

Tonight we saw Christopher Nolan's The Odessey and thoroughly enjoyed this epic film. As always, we were eager to see the credits - to read about locations, special effects, identify some of the actors, and see if any of our fellow union friends had a hand in making the movie. We got as far as the first line "A Christopher Nolan Film" and then the house lights went up, completely washing out all the credits. I ran out to the lobby to find someone to turn the house lights back off so we could see the credits, but the supervisor sighed and said, "we've been here all day and we just want to clean up and get out of here." (We saw the 6:15 showing and know that there were two more showings tonight after the one we saw...no one was clocking out any time soon.) I told her (as if she wouldn't know, working in a cinema) that watching the credits is a vital part of the movie experience, especially to those who still go out to see a film in a theater. She offered me free tickets but wouldn't turn the house lights back off. I think that Universal Pictures might like to know that Look Dine-In Cinema in Dobbs Ferry NY is likely violating their distribution/licensing agreement by turning up the lights on end credits. She did give me free tickets to another movie. I tore them up and threw them out. No thanks. I like movie theaters that respect the the artform enough to show the entire film, credits and all. I join in solidarity with my sisters and brothers in all the various unions that would have been credited if the theater was compliant with the contractual obligations that our union forbears fought so long and hard to secure. read more

The movie theatre itself was the bomb with a connecting restaurant. The staff working was very delightful and high energy. Ordering food while you're seated was also cool. The food was delicious. I rarely leave reviews but... We went to see Spider-Man yesterday and the movie was awesome but that's where it ends. Unfortunately the food and server experience was a total disaster. The mini tacos were cold and smothered in cream. It was a nasty mess to eat and it didn't come with the salsa we asked for. The pretzel bites were not only cold but raw on the inside and also did not come with the mustard we requested, only the cheese. Our movie began at 6:30 and we did not receive our drinks and popcorn until after 7:35. My "small" sprite was over $7.50 but should have been called a child size. The popcorn was sadly also cold and very small. Not to mention, there are not even pin spot lights above your seats so you can sort of see what you're eating. Totally pitch black. I've have never felt more ripped off and disappointed in a movie visit. I mentioned my concerns to the server and she said she didn't know what to do. We left right after the show and I have since left a vm and email for the venue to discuss this disastrous experience. (As a side note, there was no more than 8 people including myself and my son in the whole theatre so size of crowd cannot be a factor here.) There's a good chance I will not come back and I for sure will NEVER order food or drinks here again. Edit: Management refunded my food and drink order in full. Service was horrible. I got there at 7pm and sat down to place my order using thr qr code. The movie started at 745pm and we didn't get our food until 8:45pm. We never got napkins and I requested service to come back which they never did. I ended up having to go get the napkins myself. Amazing customer service. The seats recline and are sanitized after every movie showing. Simple tech ordering menu and wait staff is excellent. Plenty of parking and the bathrooms are very clean. I did have a glitch with my order. I received my food but no drink. After the movie was over I alerted Janet, the manager. She apologized and not only credited my card but gave me a free ticket to the next movie of my choice. Definitely 5 star customer service. Thank you again Janet. I absolutely love coming to this theatre because at the end of the day, it IS an experience. It's all how you look at it. I have loved LOOK Dine In Cinemas since my very first experience and perhaps since then a few things have changed or things aren't always right but WHO CARES, I'm at the movie theatre. There WILL be popcorn on the floor, the floors WILL be sticky. And yes, restrooms aren't spotless but could it be it's an us problem and not a staff problem? Like could we throw away our paper in the trash and not on the floor? Could we not be gross when we use the restroom and leave it in a decent form for the next person to use? I think the staff would actually be able to keep up if people didn't walk in there like a hurricane and just throw whatever wherever they want. So give the staff credit, they're trying. I never had any recliner issues or order not coming in issue until last time. And just by speaking to someone we were able to get it resolved instead of being so rude and unsupportive about it. This is a movie theatre, if you order food, you WILL dine in the dark. That's just the way it is in any theatre btw. To quickly check my food I did turn the flashlight on my phone in the lowest setting for a quick moment to make sure I got what I ordered. This last time, the half nachos portion from the 2 for $34.99 was so good! It even had tajin on it. Bottom line, is the food Michelin star worthy? Absolutely not, we all know that. Is it convenient to be able to just come to the movies, sit and enjoy your movie and be surprised at whenever the food does come to you? Absolutely. You don't have to get up, you don't have to order, you don't have to wait, you don't have to miss the movie. You sit back, enjoy, relax and get to eat pretty decent theatre food. I will say, if you order from one seat then move around seats, you're not going to get your food. Perhaps that's what's happened to some. Your seat is your food order. Pro tip: $7 Tuesdays and happy hour at the bar. You can then take your drink to your seat. Best of both worlds. Was it the best margarita I had? This place was so nice before. Honestly, they can do better. Staff are young and kinda lazy. Went here recently with my to watch Deadpool & Wolverine and enjoy a dining experience as well. Ordered food with the waiter/staff member and waited a a long time before the food came only to get our orders incomplete. Ordered soft pretzels and nachos. Pretzel never arrived. My friend went outside to complain, and the staff said they would bring. The movie was finished, and pretzels never arrived. I'll give them points tho, the manager did make it right and gave us 4 fre tickets for another showing. I also have to say that the pricing here is somewhat reasonable, but the staffing and service could be better I dont like that they don't take their time to clean properly between movies. I love going to the movies--especially theaters that offer food and beverages. That being said, LOOK is a fantastic theater with great ambience, but lately, there have been recurring issues that are hard to overlook. Two weeks ago, the only available drink from the fountain was Dr. Pepper. Then, on my most recent visit, we ordered several items, including buffalo wings, only to be told afterward that they had no ranch or blue cheese dressing. When I asked for the wings to be voided, the waitress said she would be right back--then suddenly, ranch dressing appeared. It left me confused as to why it wasn't available moments earlier. Another concern is the tipping system. The staff includes their gratuity at the beginning of the order, rather than after the service is provided. For me, tipping has always been tied to the quality of service received. It's hard to justify pre-paying a tip, especially when the waiter who took my order disappeared and never returned to check in again. For the premium prices LOOK charges, the level of service needs to reflect that standard. First time ever at this theater that started under a different name, then closed during Covid. I believe that the construction of the facility was done wrong and that was a bed bug infestation- not 100% sure of the validity of this..... Fast forward to 2024 and the Look Dine-in group operates the facility. We were there to see the Bob Dylan move which BTW was excellent. Pluses: * The screen quality and sound were very good. * The facility looked really clean. * The customer service was warm from all that we encountered. * Seats are ultra-wide and comfortable and clearly labeled. Opportunities: * While it is great that the seats are comfortable and that they recline. If I reclined, my feet were just about touching the row in front of me- I was in row G and am 6'2" Every time a server needed to bring someone in the row an item I had to un-recline my seat. Whenever a guest needed to use the restroom I needed to un-recline my seat. * $11 plus $2 tip for popcorn? * The back door of the theater was not closed and there was noise coming from outside which was annoying. Overall I would rate the experience as a strong plus. I seriously wonder if the business model will work moving forward as I now go to the movies a few times a year, when I used to go to movies 20-25 times a year. I don't think there are such compelling reasons to pay the cost to see something that a few weeks/months later I can see from the comfort of my living room and on my 77" TV for limited cost. read more

RATS RUNNING RAMPANT. This place is absolutely filthy. Rats literally running throughout the theater. Not a care in the world from the employees. They don't even clean the theater between shows since there was food and garbage all over the floor before the movie even started. Both our chairs were completely broken. Charged a mandatory 'living wage fee' meanwhile the employees (men and women) spend all their time screaming and cackling on the couches in the women's room. The same women's room that has garbage everywhere, no toilet paper, and no soap. This place was great back when it was iPic and they actually had some standards but unfortunately has been on a decline ever since it was taken over by Look. DO NOT go see #Sinners at LOOK Dine-In Cinema Dobbs Ferry! Last night, my sister and I went to see the blockbuster Sinners starring Michael B. Jordan, Wunmi Mosaku, Miles Caton, and Hailee Steinfeld -- directed by the incredible Ryan Coogler. While the film itself was AMAZING, the experience at LOOK Cinema Dobbs Ferry was a complete disaster. Here's what happened: We placed our order, but a different server brought the wrong drinks and insisted that's what we ordered (it wasn't). The movie BLACKED OUT partway through and showed a weird grid -- completely ruining the experience. NO staff apologized, restarted the movie, or offered any kind of refund or discount. When my sister calmly voiced her disappointment, the manager Ricardo was extremely rude and disrespectful to her -- an African American woman. What's worse is that he didn't show the same attitude toward an African American man who also expressed concern. Clearly, he had a problem with her being both Black and female. Ricardo even threatened to ban her from the theater for simply expressing frustration over missing the movie. It didn't stop there: Another manager named Zarc was present and did nothing to address the situation. A server ( that had Paula tattooed on her arm) actually yelled "SHUT UP" at another customer who was upset -- completely unprofessional behavior. This was the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I used to support this theater regularly because of the dine-in feature, but I will NEVER return after what we experienced. It honestly felt like this location was trying to sabotage a #1 Black-led film on purpose -- and targeting Black women who dared to speak up. Go see Sinners. Love the idea and the theater experience- as good as previous owners. the sound is a bit loud when there were only 10 patrons but picture quality, reclining seats, cleanliness in the theater that experience was great. Not great- No one at the check in stand, line and problems at the register (three employees helping one family) so we just walked in and found our theater. The staff area is next to the "bar. The bar cashier and staff members were talking to each other like they were in a club. Loud, personal business while we stopped at a high top and looked at the menu-ordered from our seats. Saw a server eat something from the food he was delivering on the way to our theater. A couple mentioned it to the Manager who shouted "who was it, I'll fire him now!" Everyone turned including the waitstaff in the hall. Really!! They walked away. The food was awful. Automatic 18% tip for small kernel popcorn (but a lot if it) and cold (not fully cooked) pizza. Okay dine in theater experience - would probs rate it a 3.5. I went for a movie premiere here and enjoyed the movie with some good parts, some meh parts. Good drinks & clean/comfortable seats. Food was meh (referring to the chicken bacon mac and cheese - more of a mayo taste than cheese taste) but it is also movie theater food so I didn't have the highest expectations. The negative is that it did take quite some time to get my food & I had to remind the staff walking around a couple of times. However, the staff were all really nice and pleasant. To be fair, I think part of the delay may have been that it was a really busy event since it was a movie premiere across 2 theaters and everyone had a similar order (we were all given a choice of ~5 options). Usually, I go to Ipic Theaters in Fort Lee or on Wall St, but tonight, I wanted to try this movie theater, which was once an Ipic Movie Theater. This movie theater could be better. Why do I say it? First off, when you walk in, no one is there to greet you, like in AMC or IPIC no one is there. But the customer service person sitting on the desk in the corner on his phone on top of it was rude as hell, and he was bored. When you are bored with your job, you will hate it and the people there. We went to the theater to see "The Color Purple," which started at 3:45 PM. The theater was Theater Three, and we went inside and guessed what was wrong with it. It was filthy. So when I asked someone, a cook, when they would clean it, she said she would look into it and find out. She went to talk to her co-worker and said she called me a tall idiot who needed to clean up his look. So, is that what your workers do? Mumble stuff out loud. Suppose you don't like your job, then quit. But they went in and cleaned up. By the time they finished, it was when the trailers started playing. Also, during the movie, the crew kept walking throughout the film. If they had cleaned on time, it would've been different.t The food was ok, but I mean you can't read. I ordered a burger with no lettuce, onions, tomatoes, fries, extra cheese, mayo, or honey mustard. What did they bring me? A burger with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, and onions with fries, no condiments, and no napkins. The fries were good, but the burger was something you buy at Wendy's, nothing outrageous that jumps out at you. The menu had many items sold out, limiting you to what to eat off the list. The price of the tickets was decent, I am not going to lie. The theater was clean and very beautiful with the different pictures. The customer service and food were gross. I am not coming back to this place. It makes you wonder how the 57th Street NYC location is. The employees are not friendly and have no compassion or love to work. They all need to be retrained or fired. The food if you are trying to make it luxurious, make it with more flare, but it is bland and needs some flavor and variety. This place... is not great. It's conveniently located and has great potential, but tons of issues. I'm not sure if it's just understaffed but it has no shortage of problems. When my daughter went with her friends, they couldn't order anything and no one ever came around, so good news is I saved money but bad news no drinks or popcorn during movie. We've also had orders take until halfway through the movie to show up even though we ordered before the movie started. A concession stand isn't so bad in comparison. Also, the bathrooms always seem to have things broken and be in disarray. All this leads to is fewer customers, less revenue, and less money to fix what's wrong. Alamo has a great experience and even Ridge Hill is better than this. I want this theater to do well because it's 5 minutes away from me but right now I'm driving 15 minutes for a decent movie watching experience. Imagine if there's a restaurant that's pitch dark where you eat in recliners. Drill down and think what that means. Close your eyes and imagine not being able to see your food-- neither when it comes nor while you eat it? Let's dissect these shortcomings. I ordered tenders and fries but honestly--in the pitch dark-- I couldn't see what I was eating. I think those soggy things were fries. They tasted greasy, bland and as i ate them I became progressively dispirited and demoralized. I thought to myself, if i am going to eat food that was a not good for me, it should have been something like a steak, or piece of Junior's cheesecake, or even a Snickers. No this. The chicken tenders were O.K. They were definitely not made from scratch--and while eating them it struck me that I a) was not 100% clear that I was eating what I thought I was eating; and b) was eating something that tasted like almost ever other chicken tender I had ever eaten--meaning, overly thick crispy outer that was under spiced ensconcing a piece of dry, cardboard like chicken. The service was necessarily poor. Again, pitch black movie theater, with loud movie speakers blaring out dialogue and/or music and the poor waitstaff can't see, hear or be heard. That said, some orders never came. Other stuff came that I didn't even order. Impossible to address incorrect orders. Seats were comfy and large recliners and there was plenty of room between rows to make getting in/out non-stressful. So, although i gave it 2 stars, had i gone to the bar to order and bring the food to my seat, I probably would have given it 3 stars--maybe. read more

Again I am not a rude person I do not disrespect anyone. One of the employees literally intentionally bumped into me as I was walking out of the auditorium as he was walking in. I purposely try slide to the right to avoid contact with him and then he goes and says 'you good' I turned around in disbelief like is this person serious? I overheard an employee screaming 'f***k these customers are annoying" as he walked into the kitchen. I stood by as they laughed and joked about the customers as the kitchen door was open. The staff here is disgusting!!!! The kitchen door was open and all I saw was ice on the ground. A mountain of ice. This place is not worth your money. Then they have shady business practices. They make you scan a barcode, order your food and tell you to close your tab before you leave. It then states you're supposed to have a small window of 30 mins before they charge you a surcharge. Before I could close out my own tab they closed my tab for me and then charged my card, and put an automatic tip on my card. This place is not worth your money. They serve you popcorn in metal bins....it just feels gross. The chairs are breaking. There's no service. This is incredible. I will never come back here. LOOK Dine-In Cinemas - The entrance a mess. And no service - Cinema Near Me - Dobbs Ferry, New York

Here for a 2nd time. First time the service was so bad they comped our next visit. This time service and food was just as bad. Regular Coke tasted exactly like diet, wife's food came waaay late, my $17 bbq bacon cheeseburger had a dime sized amount of bbq sauce so it was completely dry. The best part about the horrible experience is they tack on a mandatory $14 "livable wage fee" on your bill so they're charging you up front for the bad service. Overall it looks and works great. 1.- food: the food its pretty decent and priced ok. The 2 for 29.99 is actually close to 45 with all the extra charges that are not shown upfront. 2.- Drinks: $11 for a canned beer. No thanks 3.- Service: the service personnel were very professional and quick to serve you. Extra tip them pls. 4.- cleanliness: it looked great and didnt see anything out of the norm. Bathrooms were very clean as well as the hallways. 5.- price wise i think its ok as its not the same as a regular movie theater. read more
