Small cafe that doesn't look like much from the street. We walked in and a bunch of what I could assume locals watched us sit down. The waitress and staff was super friendly and prompt with drinks and coffee. We ordered and the food came quick. The kids had chocolate chip pancakes and they were huge! When we left an hour later the lobby was packed with folks waiting for a table. Ok all you fancy pants reviewers. This is a diner. In a small town in Eastern Washington. And voted Evening Magazine Best Diner. For a reason. Good home cooking. A staff that is welcoming and makes the patron feel welcome. We've had breakfast hers 3 or 4 times. Great plate every time. Today I had the eggs béarnaise. We go here a lot. It reminds me of my momma as she used to do the dinner specials in the bar at least five evenings a week when she was alive and wasn't travelling. Plus I know so many of the local patrons that it feels, well, it feels like home. We eat in the bar. But I would say this is the best breakfast place in town too. when we walked in we were greeted by such a rude hostess, who gave us a knife that had a chunk of something on it. the waitress was super nice so we stayed. ordered pancakes and a chicken fried steak. when my boyfriend complained about his chicken fried steak and said it tasted like it's been microwaved the waiter herself said "honestly that's probably what they did" "i've been here 27 years and i keep telling them that they can't do that to steak" ego pancakes in the microwave are less dry and taste 10 times better then here so save 10 bucks and go to safeway and get dounts instead. read more

Service was friendly. The coffee was hot water. The veggie wrap had almost no dressing/sauce/spice anything so that was a waste. The tater tots were crunchy but sooo so soo salty. read more

Our waiter was really helpful with our big group with children and rolled with it when we had spilled water. Food came in big portions and they served us quickly. Went again the next day for breakfast and had another good experience. A good local cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day. The meat seems like good quality for a diner. Good rating, maybe a bad experience? To start, the place was busy but to me it's the small things that make or break you. My service was bad, the single scrambled egg my son got was more egg than what was in my country skillet. Portion size was lacking for a $14 breakfast plate. Breakfast was okay I did notice the waitress having to tell the cooks to add this and that from what was suppose to be on the plates.

Workers are always rude about Togo orders saying that items are not on the menu and that is why there are issues with the blue cheese burger

This is a great diner. I was looking for a hot meal on a road trip and the Apple Cup Cafe had a pretty full parking lot so that was a sign some good foods were inside. I had a mushroom burger with fries...the fries were awesome. This is a very good traditional diner, I'll happily eat here again next time I'm in the area looking for diner food. read more

Pretty standard breakfast place here. In my opinion nothing too special, typical breakfast variety and quality. I come from an area loaded with awesome breakfast places, but for Chelan this fits the bill for the first morning when we haven't bought groceries. It's a very homey type of restaurant, clean interior and friendly staff. The food is nothing worth writing home about, but it's typically pretty quick and hot. read more

I love me some biscuits and gravy with an egg on top. My wife and i ordered the Red Eye special. It didn't live on to the hype.! I enjoyed a well prepared rib steak with a nice big baked potato with all the fixings, veggies all proceeded by a nice dinner salad...and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Holy moly! The food is soooo good. We rolled in with 11 girls as part of a bachlorette party and we were starving. The waitress handled our large party with ease. The service was quick, the food was good, and the price was right. The decor was classic old school. It reminded of me of eating at your grandma's house. I grew up in Chelan and loved eating here. Over the past few years, the food has gone downhill and an alarming speed. It is officially dive status. I have eaten here with terrible food 3 times in the last year. I hoped each time that the time before was a fluke. Nope. Everyone's food was bad each time. It makes me so sad. read more
