Recently I've discovered the airtag and how it can be beneficial to me since I have a dog that likes to run away I've done research here and there I've seen some videos but still not enough information, not the same info I can get talking to someone that actually work at the Apple store and knows the products they are selling... I get in line to go in ask them if they have them available they tell me I need to order online and I can get it in 30 mins yea no problems sure, but because I am buying the product I want to know a little more before I make the purchase, like any other person would want "morals and standards" I ask the guy if he can talk to me more about it to explain it more and it's perks, you know sell me the products after all when working in the APPLE STORE you would want to make sales for the company i mean that's your job... but no that was not the case he told me " I can't right now because I need to help these people in line behind you " so I politely said " oh okay thank you" and walked away. My point being is he kind of Rudely pushed me aside and denied my request for help on there own products that I was 110% ready to purchase that day... even willing to wait the 30 minutes if he had just explained it more to me literally the most simple fucking thing. She quickly discovered that the logic board was bad and swapped it out for a new phone of the exact model. Alyssa is friendly, honest, and great to work with. My MacBook Air starting have some issues a few weeks ago. I went to Apple Del Monte to have someone examine to see if it could be repaired. I worked with a women named Grace who was great. She tried lots of different things and explained what she was doing thoroughly. She was articulate, helpful, and earnest. Originally she thought it was software issue and that perhaps she could fix it. It turned out to be hardware related so I had to leave at the store for some service work - needed to order part, etc. Later, they told me that the service work they tried didn't work and they would need to try something else (much more expensive repair) so I though I better just trade in and get a brand new laptop. So I went back to Del Monte Apple today and just got the worst treatment from two male sales people. I had been told on the phone that I could get at least $150 for trade-in perhaps even as much as $250. With that, plus my educator discount, I figured I could swing a new device. When I get to the store today, first sales person tells me I can get $250 for trade in then the next guy comes over and says no, that's wrong, the device is worth $0 for trade in. Really? We go from $250 to $0? It was the worst bait and switch routine - and it felt really misogynistic (and maybe racist). I felt like they saw a middle-aged brown woman and just thought they could rip me off. I just know that if I had brought my husband (handsome, white guy) along this isn't how it would have gone. I ended up just pissed off and stormed off. I went back later to retrieve my old device. Really, Apple, I've been an public school educator for 25 years and this is how you treat people? It's an hour ride for me to get to Monterey so I wasted 3 hours of my time. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE for anything other than repair. The sales people are just AWFUL. read more

This Apple Store sucks. I had a mechanical issue with my phone, and they first told me it would be about 50 minutes to wait and then took the phone back for about 5 and told me they couldn't help me. I've decided to set a parenthesis in my schedule to do this, because it's important... While traveling to Monterey to attend an event my MacBook Pro charger broke unexpectedly. Immediately I went to The Apple Store at Del Monte Center, friendly faces received me until they sent me over to RAY BEDDOW... As soon as Ray knew the reason of my visit he told me that I needed to pay full price for the charger as it was physically damage and Apple is not responsible for that. (Diagnosing a "solution" without even checking my history with Apple or willing to learn more about my case, or AppleCare. And without even making eye contact with me at this point of his rhetoric response.) I asked him if that was my only option and he said, "yes". Then I told him that it was not the first time my charger was broken like that, and that in the past (in LA) they have just given me a new charger without charging me anything. He replied to me with the assumption that the charger got broken because I mismanaged it for being too rough, and he stated that it was obviously my fault as it was clearly not the first time it happened to me. Which is another assumption; giving me as an Apple user all the responsibility of the damage... I interrupted his assumptions and he started being defensive for me interrupting him... I told him that he wasn't giving me a good customer service with his arrogant behavior over me. I requested to speak with a Manager, he refused to look for one, saying that he was the manager. After insisting on speaking with a manager who had more authority, he then said that there was no manager... I insisted and he went to "look for the manager". He comes back saying that the manager was on lunch break, after already misrepresenting his position implying his was the store manager. He proceeds to inform me there's nobody in charge of the store and that I needed to wait until 6:00pm, and it was 5:00pm at the time. He simply brushed me off, my schedule already being tight I needed to keep on going so I ended up paying full price for the charger. I requested Ray Beddow's business card and proceeded to pay for it and get the charger as I was done with him and needed to move on. He sent another sales associate to take over and complete my sales transaction without explaining to him my case. Just delegating his responsibility on what he started, to someone else that didn't had a clue of what was going on. I repeated myself to the second person only to have Ray rudely come back over and said, "well, you didn't even let me give you the option of a discount as you were interrupting me". Which I replied, "why didn't you offered me the option in the first place?". He didn't reply. I paid for the charger took the receipt and left. I am writing this post as I believe Ray Beddow does not represent the A.P.P.L.E. way and values. The same values that got me attracted to the products, and that I stand for. Being arrogant and passing judgement on a client without wiliness to find a solution is definitely not acceptable. I've never felt to outwardly followed as I did here on Christmas Eve. I just popped in to get a connector for my iPhone 7plus and was followed to the very back of the store. I paid for the item and then my wife and I briefly considered a Apple Watch for our daughter for Christmas. As we got close to the table I noticed one of the young gentlemen (Apple Employee)on the other side of the table make a move to the opposite side of the table where the watches are laid out. This was very off-putting especially to a Marine Veteran with PTSD. The move was so blatantly obvious to both my wife and I we decided that we'd leave before I loose my shit! Not so genius and trying to rip you off! and why...? because you are telling them the truth about how far along you have troubleshot the situation and are now at the point that this is for apple to figure out... 6 months old iMac, worked like a charm until a week ago, in the middle of tax season... came home computer is dead and won't reboot, strange symptoms that I have never seen before (and I have been repairing computers for a living for 20 years...) but basically pointed towards a failed hard drive... Bummer, but hard drives fail all the time, so a Mac is no exception... Good thing I actually have a brand new spare drive to replace with at 10pm... there goes my evening of working on taxes.... 15 minutes later, new drive in, reinstall Mac OSX from the original CDs... Uh oh... install fails... strange.... even more so that the errors are random and make no sense whatsoever... I have never seen this on a Mac in my life... and I've repaired at least 500 of them... So here I am... it's midnight and my computer still not working... Well I restore my time machine backup, 450 GB over night... see if that works.. next morning... no dice... Appointment with the Genius bar, they scratch their heads and take the machine to do exactly what I already did... calling me later to tell me that (oh big surprise) it is not working. Now I don't know if they thought I was just telling them stories, but I did make it clear that I deal with computers daily and do a job similar to theirs for a living... enterprise, small business, consumer grade.... Oh well, next day appointment they report to me in person, that they what they tried (which go figure didn't work, since I already did the same thing). When I told them that this was exactly WHY I had taken the unit to the Apple store, so they would actually figure out the issue, Ryan Z and his ungroomed side kick Kyle J, who speaks under his breath like the peanut gallery in the muppets show, had taken a new stance. While they had not even opened up the unit to have a look at anything (mind you this process takes 5 minutes), they started giving me some attitude and quotes for hundreds of dollars for a repair of the computer, since clearly I myself put the unit out of warranty at this point! I'd have to pay them anywhere between $239 and $689 plus tax (mind you the iMac only cost $1199) to get it fixed. Now that is some genius at work. Upon the question, how they came to that opinion and how they though this would be acceptable, they go on telling me how "I told them" that I opened it up... duh! That's like Lexus telling you you voided the warranty when you popped to hood in death valley to check if there was still coolant in the car! So versus trying to help and get the unit fixed, they get into arguments about how much money they want to fix a machine that clearly is under warranty... so much for me opening my stupid mouth. Upon asking for a manager I get a sweet girl, looking about 12 years old, backing up the guys on their stance! I consider this an epic fail for Apple. Their staff should use a bit more common sense. We send out 20 macs+ a year for repairs that we can't perform because you can't get the parts from Apple. Each time, we remove the hard drives to make sure the customer's data doesn't get lost or abused... ya think anybody has ever gotten back to use from Apple, saying anything... Big negative marks for those guys! read more

Worst fucking apple service ever. I make two appointment at the beginning when I walk in. One for my phone to replace a screen and one for my MacBook. Firs table when the technician check my phone he said the phone will be ready at 7:20 to get picked up. But that asshole just tell me to come back at that time and sit wait to get my phone back. So I waited for him fuckin hour and that guy that who check my phone don't say anything and just walked away. second thing I make another appointment for my MacBook. And waited for another 40 min and asked them if my appointment is ready. And then they said I don't have any appointment for you. Really disappointed first of all i am a 19 year old hispanic woman i was helped by a white male who treated me as if i wasn't going to buy anything he told me nothing about the phones and their differences after i said i wanted to buy one kind of stood and stared at me, i started conversation saying my phone was stolen but he interrupted me and said " ok i didn't ask that but ok" i found this very discouraging and disrespectful. I've been to this Apple Store twice and have been less than pleased with my experiences. The first time, I had finally decided to buy iLife '09. I walked into the store, found a copy of the software right away.....and then spent half an hour trying to find someone to wait on me so I could pay for it! (The store has no cash registers, you have to hunt down a salesperson, which was no easy task when there were a few families in there buying iPods and iPhones like crazy.) Apparently I didn't look like I wanted to give them my money, even though I had a copy of iLife '09 in my hand and was looking around desperately, waiting for someone to notice me. The second time, I made an appointment with the Genius Bar to have my MacBook Pro looked at. I showed 5 minutes early for my appointment (as instructed) and stood around for a good 15 minutes waiting for one of the "geniuses" to become available. He spent 2 minutes with my MacBook Pro, pronounced the battery "bad", and proceeded to inform me that my Apple Care plan would not cover a replacement. Needless to say, after my previous experience, and then being told my expensive Apple Care wouldn't cover a measly $120 part, I was pretty miffed. I packed up my laptop and left. I will only go back when I have to. read more

The bad review is because their manager is super rude, arrogant and not open to any kind of discussion. Being rigid is typical of Apple but the rudeness and arrogance are really intolerable, especially in the manager. As a long-time Apple fan, I can't believe I'm writing such a low review. However, it's more for corporate policy than the store itself. I called to inquire about Snow Leopard, the no-longer newest OS. Not in stock. OK, I get it: they want to sell new stuff. I asked if they could upgrade the RAM in my 5-year-old Mac. Nope, say they. They can only do that for Macs up to one year old. Clearly, this is corporate policy, not store policy. I understand that Apple wants to maximize its profits and get more hardware and software sold. However, my old computer isn't dead yet, and still has a few more years of use in it (unlike poor Steve Jobs, who seems to be not long for this world). My iPhone 5 touchscreen was not working properly. Apple said there was water damage and that a new screen would ****NOT**** fix it. Anyway, they were out of stock of the new SE phone ($499 which I would have bought on the spot based on their ******MISDIAGNOSIS******) so I brought my phone to Phone Hut Cell Phone and Computer Repair in San Jose on Capital Ave.They put a new screen on (he said that the screen showed some water damage from sweat or high humidity) and for $87 (EIGHT SEVEN DOLLARS) my phone is like new! Why wouldn't Apple even *******TRY*****a new screen? *****BECAUSE THEY WANT MORE MONEY BY SELLING YOU A NEW PHONE.******The guy at Phone Hut put one on for testing right in front of me in less than THREE MINUTES! I wish I could rate this place lower. I just left the Apple store in Del Monte Shopping center and had the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Went in to purchase an i phone and change service from Verizon to AT & T. I knew we were in trouble when the first saleswoman kept asking what it was we wanted instead of guiding us through. I had no idea what I wanted and kept telling her that. Comes time to change service from Verizon to AT & T and before I knew it we had two women and a supervisor hovering around trying to figure out how to do this and asking for a multitude of account numbers and passwords that we did not have (even though we purchased an I Pad from them about a year ago apparently they don't keep customer information). So after two hours of nothing getting done, being given a runaround and being spoken to in a condescending manner from the supervisor. We threw up our hands when she asked for, yet again, another account number. I walked out. Will head to the AT&T store for my phone. I assume they will want my business. Stay away from here. It seems that most of the salespeople do not know what they are doing. read more

First let me say this is not about the products but about my experiences at one of the stores. This store has what you want in stock but I suggest you use the Apple Store App to buy without the need for interaction for on the shelf items. Worst customer service I have ever had here. I don't post until I have at least one good or three bad experiences. This one was my third similar experience at this store. Long waits, never on time and misinformation about wait times and carrier processes. If you need more people then hire them or make separate queues for quick or long transactions. Not at all what one expects. Don't bother taking to management as you just get stared at as if you are from Mars. No emotion, not happy, sad, mad or shocked. I understand about remaining calm but no emotion at all tells me I was wasting my time. Look to yelp for other stores with a higher rating if you need something that you need to interact with someone for. read more

Ive been holding this in for some time now. I was going to let it go as just a thing but every time I listen to my computer I am reminded that they broke my computer. So yes, I am pretty upset at the team from the Apple store. I brought my computer in to change the monitor as it had a crack in it. They replaced it and then called to ask me if I wanted my speakers changed out while I was at it. I did not understand why they would want to change my speakers as they were fine. I picked up my computer and we checked to ensure the screen was working and I left. But when I turned it on and went to listen to a song, my left speaker is totally shot. This was not like this when I dropped it off and if their team broke it (as they called me to tell me it was broken), why would they not just fix it instead of ask me if I wanted to pay to have it fixed. We even checked my computer when I brought it in as they wanted to ensure that all other things were working. Anyways, I was just trying to listen to some killer music and I was reminded that they broke my speaker and it is killing me (I dont think that I should have to pay them to fix what they broke). Y'all can take your chances by taking your computers and phones to them but you might want to go through a thorough review of all systems before you leave it with them. Oh and when I called them back to discuss this with them they told me that they gave me the chance to change it while my screen was replaced and it only would have cost about 30 dollars. I did not do it at the time as I did not understand why they wanted to replace my speaker as well. read more

In contrast to some of the other reviews, I've had pretty good encounters with the staff - they came across as friendly yet levelheaded, very easygoing, a pleasant shopping experience. However, if you are coming here for a repair, be prepared for an entirely different experience. Earlier this week, on a Monday evening, I brought in my MacBook which had a dead trackpad and keyboard. The tech at the Genius Bar quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem, and then said it would take 3-5 days to repair, even though they had the replacement part (a topcase) in stock. I told him it was my work computer (I work from home) and that I couldn't be without it that long. He understood, said he'd "expedite it" and promised it would be finished within 1-3 days, definitely by Thursday evening. Thursday evening arrived with no call from the store saying my repair was complete. I went to the store in person and inquired about my MacBook. I was told that the repair hadn't even been started yet, even though the part was still in stock. After explaining my outrage, the staffer told me it would be done by midday Friday. We will see whether this pledge will be honored. This is the second time I've had long delays at the repair desk at this location. Other Apple Stores I've used for repairs have been prompt in their turnaround time, usually within 24 hours if the part was in stock. Yet this store seems completely unable to properly and timely conduct a repair. If you're looking to buy a new Mac or accessories, this is still a good place to shop. But if you need a repair, steer clear of this store, unless you're willing to wait a week to get your repair complete. read more

This review is solely for the customer service at this Apple Store and not their product. We went to the Genius Bar and the technician couldn't be bothered with us by helping us diagnose what was wrong with our computer. He said that he had to send it in somewhere for it to get serviced. I was not please with the nonchalance of this person telling me that I would be without my laptop for 2 weeks, one that I had purchased a month previous. I talked with the manager and he was telling me "Applecare this, Applecare that.". I had just bought the computer and was told that they wanted to replace a bunch of parts on it. This was inexcusable and an embarrassment for the Apple Product. It helps that the guys who work there are real attractive. read more

I stopped in today to buy a Fitbit for my wife. Hers was falling apart. I announced what I wanted as I walked in. Three of the employees hanging at the door passed me off to another employee who was further in the store. Maybe he is the Fitbit expert or only gets the small sales. He led me to the selection of Fitbits. I told him what I wanted and he pulled one from the peg board. That was it. deal done in less than 3 or 4 minutes. Paid with my credit card. "Do you want a printed receipt or an e-mail". I opted for the e-mail in order to save them the 6 inches of paper it would have consumed. By the way, did you know that Apple does not have owner's manuals. It's all on the device in the 'help menu'. Another way to save money and trees. I was outta there in less than ten minutes. Not great service, just service so I found what I wanted. I must not have been spending enough $$$. read more

While traveling to Monterey the earbuds I use with my iPhone broke. We were on hold with AppleCare for an HOUR before anyone even answered. Then, the woman I spoke with had no idea of what is covered under AppleCare. So I was put on hold for another 30 mins while she checked with her Supervisor. I finally just hung up! Since we were coming to Monterey anyway...we decided to walk into the local Apple Store and see if we could get a replacement. ( couldn't be any worst than what we just experienced with AppleCare direct) This Apple Store is easy to find as it's located in a large shopping mall. We walked in...we were immediately greeted and asked what we needed. We explained...someone pulled a new pack of earbuds...we were out of the store in EIGHT MINUTES! Unbelievable. In our local Apple Store, even with an appointment you wait an hour or more! (No joke). You need an appointment just to exchange / replace earbuds... and you WILL wait as long as 45 minutes just for a simple transaction. Going to this Apple Store was a real treat! I have attempted MULTIPLE times to visit this store to just unlock my iPad. Every time I'm instructed to return many hours later for assistance at the GENIUS BAR. Apple Store claims this is a 10 minute fix and recommended to make an appointment. I did and am still sitting at the genius bar without a genius to help me. Why ? I have an appointment and then have no one to assist me. They r running late?!?! For those of us that happen to work 14 hours a day and have limited time off between scheduled shifts and do as they suggest, by making a useless appointment THEN Apple should honor those appointments and not delay the genius from doing the 10 minute job. Either you'll get someone who knows their stuff, or you'll get a trainee who isn't yet trained and just tries, tries again and finally calls on someone, hopefully, more knowledgeable. "Over and beyond" best describes my experiences at this apple store. I used to complain about the high prices of apple products. Not anymore. During my last visit I became convinced that Apple prices are justified. You're not only getting a laptop or iphone or parts, you're getting excellent service when needed. During my last visit, I went for an iphone issue. Without hassle, the young lady had replaced it. While there, I explained to them about my macbook pro and how my music on Itunes were much larger files which has taken up nearly my entire hard drive. The young man, (can't recall his name) not only explained to me how to size them down, he actually had me retrieve my macbook and sized like over 1000 files for me. (while the new software on my iphone was loading) This took quite a bit of time. He then cleaned up my laptop with spray and towels. This level of service is much appreciated and will keep me an Apple customer. read more

They over book and make you sit for hours waiting for your appointment and are rude when you point it out to them. Wow is all I have to say. My review is on the customer service of one person. I will not give out his name. I went in because my iphone had the devil inside it. Diagnosed as maybe a hardware issue. The genius bar guy reset my phone but was still having problems with it. I never dropped my phone or had it in water which showed. The guy goes back into the office and brings a brand new phone out and gives it to me for free with a 3 month warranty. Should of cost me 200 something. Pretty sure not the policy here. After months of procrastination, I finally bought an iPhone. I went to this store as it seemed the process would be more pleasant in an Apple store as opposed to an AT&T store. After a few minutes checking out how much glare the new glossy screens on the MacBooks kick out, I was finally ready to go for it. Unfortunately, the first staff member I talked to informed me that they were currently out of staff who can do iPhone purchases - they were both otherwise occupied. However, in the 5 mins I had to wait, two other members of staff checked in with me and assured me it wouldn't be long.
