BEWARE. I processed an online order at this Best Buy on Saturday. It was in stock and would be ready to pick up in 1 hour so I purchased it. The hour goes by as well as the evening and still no notice to pick it up. Fast forward to Sunday after store opens, the status is still "preparing order". I called and spoke to an employee who said the product is coming from another store and will be ready in 4-5 days. I decided to cancel the order and was told they could do that and I could expect a refund in 7-10 days. When I told him I would call my bank to dispute the charge, he quickly said that wouldn't be necessary because they haven't finalized processing the charge ....checking my bank the charge is in pending status on my bank account. I asked to speak to a manager and was told one would call me within 4 days. Based on this experience, I will never shop Best Buy again....online or walk in. I feel this was a bait and switch situation, very dishonest practice and despicable customer service. I have had the worst experience at the Salinas location to where I didn't want to go back but I also had to do a return. Luckily I came in today and with met with the biggest smile and a very kind person that was incredibly knowledgeable. Val not only had the answers to ever question I had but took the time to find solutions that no one had ever given to me and explained protocols and procedures so that I understood where before people would just dismiss or talk at me and make me feel inferior even though I am purchasing something from their store. Went there for the switch 2 drop and I have to say everyone was really awesome and it went really smoothly. The general manager came out several times to check on the people at the lines and showed his appreciation. The workers were really helpful and professional. Truth be told we were out for a meander and figured we could cruise through Best Buy before a pickup at the noodle house in seaside then home .. We went into the Magnolia section and was greeting by a young guy called Ryan (make a note) . We told him what we were looking for and to say he was efficient, knowledgeable, expedient and bridged the selling/helping like a pro would be an absolute understatement .. Fast forward to today and I parted with over $5k of goods based on that trip and the TV was bought on his sole advise and recommendation through Best Buy. It's sadly super rare I get the pleasure of being served by a real gem of a salesperson, if I had an immediate opening in the west coast for a rep I would sprint down and persuade him to change careers and join my company. Talked to customer service on the phone yesterday. Told me to bring my gift in for a return and store credit. Arriving at the store the next day Gilbert refused my brand new unopened gift return with the best buy shipping tag still on the box saying they dont sell that item in that store so he won't return it. Exactly the opposite of what best buy corprate had told me on the phone a day earlier. I tried calling the store directly to talk to the General Manager and it keeps hanging up on me. I usually dread going to Best Buy before Christmas. The crowds and really long lines become my worst nightmare. I try to avoid this store at all costs. But when we needed to find a camera for a family member, we ended up at this Best Buy. The store was crowded, but we found a pleasant sales associate right away. Not only was he knowledgeable in assisting us in finding a camera, but he seemed honest. Although we went directly to the cameras, the rest of the store seemed fairly clean and organized as well. I did notice that this store seemed a bit understaffed, and our sales associate seemed stretched a bit thin. Other than that, our experience was really nice here. Well, I guess that we are going to start the countdown as to when Best Buy goes under. Please pay very close attention to purchasing anything online as they stop their support after 2 weeks from the order. I purchased an HP8035 printer for my office, only 2 months later it is having issues with the printhead and wont work anymore. Upon contacting Best Buy I noticed that their support on returns or anything warranty ends after 2 weeks. I will go to Amazon and purchase a new printer there after I work through HP to get this one resolved. At least Amazon takes care of their online customers and does more than say that the support period is over and I need to contact the manufacturer to process any returns or exchanges. My wife's phone had been acting up, so Apple made an appointment with this store for service. She came home very upset at the way she was treated by the service desk employees. She felt talked down to, ridiculed, and ultimately ignored. The employees kept passing her off to one another, forcing her to explain her issue over and over again. Only one floor employee, who apparently saw what was happening, was kind to her. I buy a fair amount of games and peripherals every year for my business from Best Buy. HORRIBLE experience!!!! Ordered a dishwasher at the Marina store. Was given a delivery date of last Thursday. Even got a confirmation text from Best Buy the night before the installation. Day of delivery, no one showed up!! They flat out canceled the appointment with no call, email or text to inform me. The only way I even found out was because I called the BestBuy customer service line to check on the status of my delivery. Waited on the phone for 45 minutes to speak to a manager. Got disconnected. Called back and waited ANOTHER 35 minutes before being connected to a different manager named Dustin Knoll who made promises of remedies and follow ups and did absolutely *nothing* except reschedule the appointment to today. Last night, I received a text from BestBuy once again reconfirming today's appointment. I once again rearranged my schedule to wait for the delivery. And this morning, they once again canceled with NO reason given. I had had enough! I just called customer service and canceled my order (which took another half hour of waiting on the phone!) As if all this wasn't bad enough, a couple of days ago we received an email from Citibank (which runs the BestBuy financing program) that someone had created a user id on our account without our authorization. We called and spent an hour on the line with two of their representatives to report fraud. Ultimately, the manager told us that they are investigating a possibility of a problem at the store level where issues can sometimes occur since they have access to financial and account information. If you want an absolutely *nightmarish* experience with fears of fraud and have all the time in the world to sit around and wait for deliveries which will never happen, and then spend hours trying to get to a customer service manager who will be of zero help, I suggest you go ahead and buy from this store. Else, stay away and take your money elsewhere. Absolutely pathetic excuse for a business!! read more

Best Buy is a good store with a great diversity of products, computer, TV, kitchen, phones, etc. The staff here are excellent. But Best Buy has a problem in the area of returns. The Best Buy return policy is 15 days or less (or a store credit after 15 days). We bought some small items. But not only never used them. But never opened them, they were still in the Best Buy bag, and with the Best Buy receipt. We went to return them (not needed as it turned out) but it was over 15 days. So no refund was allowed. Only a store credit. Despite the items being unopened and with receipt and in the original Best Buy bag. This was disappointing. For unopened items, the return time limit should be longer than 15 days. This restrictive return policy makes it seem like Best Buy "accepts" our being customers but does not really "welcome" customers. Whose fault for not returning within 15 days? Ours. 9/27/22 6:42am One word - DISAPPOINTED. My order number: BBY01-806676405331 Their contractor Pilot Freight Services - TERRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and UNRELIABLE who come out to the property wave at you and then claim that no one was home! The first attempt, my inspector was at property while I was on a conference call with him and customer service. The drivers drove by and waved at him and left. Never even getting down from the truck and knocking on the front door. But as we were on the phone with customer service, they reported no one was home to receive the delivery. The second attempt at the property the installers came and inspected, and we had plumbing issues - which we fixed the very next day and rescheduled. The third attempt they were able to install WITH JUST A TWO MAN TEAM. However, due to a faulty machine we had to schedule a pickup of the broken machine. The fourth attempt, a two-man team came, and the delivery associate stated that he wasn't comfortable with the delivery because he was training. At this point I decided to go to the local Best Buy (Marina) and spoke with Roberto the manager on duty. He contacted the delivery service and ensured a four-man team for September 26, 2022. The day of the delivery I continuously checked the app every 15 minutes that morning starting at 6:30am. The Best Buy app gave an estimated delivery timeframe of 7:00am-9:45am. But as one can suspect, this timeframe came and went, and no one showed up. Then when I finally checked again to give the delivery team the benefit of the doubt it no longer showed the appointment, and the app was asking me to reschedule. My inspector went to the Best Buy store in Marina and the manager did nothing. My coworker and I called spending an additional 4 hours asking customer service yet again what happened. They stated that the manager did not tell them this was a scheduled four-man team. Excuse after excuse was given. Even though this has been escalated every single time after each failed delivery attempt-my company and I have yet to receive a callback from Best Buy and their management team. To say that communication is lacking is an EXTREME UNDERSTATEMENT. On a positive note, I decided to go to Lowe's on Cottle Road in San Jose, and they were able to sell me the exact same unit with a 15% discount which I picked up last night in the company truck. They assisted with the loading and today I will deliver it myself to the property. Not to mention I hired an installation team. Everyone was wearing a mask which was a good thing. We went to the TV section there was one clerk working with a customer we stood there forever until she asked if we needed help. Finally as I was getting ready to leave and make my purchase elsewhere a nice young man came up and asked if he could help us. He was friendly, knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with. We purchased a 65 inch LG TV then he took us over to the vacuum section and helped us to select a vacuum . He took us to a register and completed the sale then carried the vacuum out to our car.
