If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I went in expecting a simple filling repair. Instead, I walked out feeling like my tooth had been butchered. A shocking amount of healthy tooth structure was filed away for what should have been a routine procedure. When the filling was finally completed, I couldn't even floss because excess composite had been left packed between my teeth, essentially cementing them together. I had to be seated again so it could be corrected, and somehow the repair only became more of a mess. My gums were bleeding afterward, something that virtually never happens to me. I take exceptional care of my teeth and have invested thousands of dollars preserving them over the years. I did not come here with neglected dental health. I came here with a filling that needed repair. I left worried that this appointment may ultimately cost me a root canal and crown. The glowing reviews convinced me to come here even though the place looked sketchy as hell. I genuinely cannot reconcile those reviews with the care I received. My experience was the complete opposite of "excellent work." I am horrified! One final detail that made the experience even more unpleasant: when the dentist briefly removed his mask, his breath was overwhelmingly foul. This office took a straightforward problem and turned it into one that may require far more extensive treatment. I would never trust this practice with another tooth, and I strongly encourage anyone who values their dental health to think twice before making an appointment. read more

I love that they make time for you and they don't give you the upsell or run for your money. Even if you don't have an appointment they see you. The dentist has a good personality. He isn't rough with his hands and makes sure you aren't in pain or uncomfortable. They work with your insurance. They always make sure you are going to your appointment by sending you a call or text. I had moved to College Street Dental & was never able to get my cleanings done until I got my wisdom teeth removed per the dr there & after calling over 3 weeks trying to get an appointment I have yet to receive a call back. The office is not fancy, but don't let that fool you. The dentist here is honest. He's not going to recommend treatments if you don't need it. By far the best I've been to. My son recently transferred to this location last week for a filling that fell out and needed to be replaced. He was seen within an hour of transferring from another office and had his cavity filling replaced quickly. He came back home happy he made to switch to this place. During my first visit I did not receive a scan of my teeth and the observing and cleaning of my teeth lasted not more than 5 minutes. My gums were not checked for their strength by pricking them with a sharp tooth. In addition, they told me I had 3 cavities but had to call me back to schedule because they didn't know if my insurance would cover it. It has been a week and no callback still. I am concerned I may have a root canals because they still haven't called me back. My rating is because I don't believe they did a good job assessing and cleaning my teeth neither did they call me back to schedule the fill in a timely manner. Sandra at the front desk is sweet, kind and professional. The doctor's chair-side manner is gentle and oh so calming. I've had my share of bad experiences with several dentist offices in the SoCal area, and must say Apple Dental has restored my trust in a dentist. At my first visit I was surprised at how attentive Dr. Min was. He took the time to explain what my issues were and what our options would be. He even took time to go over basic dental hygiene techniques. And believe me, you may think you are brushing correctly but you're not! He's also pretty punctual and so far I've never waited more than 10 minutes past my appointment time. The dental assistant is professional and her and the Dr. work well together. The receptionist is always friendly and willing to go above and beyond what she has to do. She will greet you by name and always asks how you are doing. Overall, this place is amazing. I would give these people a zero star if I could. My husband and I have moved to California from the UK and this is the first time I have organised a dentist through insurance. Having spoken to a few dentists locally who were happy to speak to my insurers to check the eligibility of our plan, these people at Apple were not at all helpful and clearly do not want our business! Not only did the receptionist I spoke to get my all three of my name, phone number and address incorrect and need it repeating several times, she acted like she was only half listening to me on both phone calls I had with her. When eventually I persuaded her to call my insurers because I was unable to, she returned my call (she made it clear with her tone that she was doing me a huge favour) and then gave me a load of attitude, saying she had "said her piece" to me and wasn't willing to do any more. I felt like she jumped down my throat, she was really unhelpful and rude. Wow, I'm glad I didn't go for this company, I wouldn't want to give my money or risk my health with people who have so little time and courtesy for those trying to give them their business. Like the other reviewer says, I think respect is an issue for this company. Avoid. read more

My wife called days ahead to schedule an appointment and provide insurance information. The scheduled appointment was made for 4 PM. I was there they filled out the paper work in not time and it was 4:20 am I am still waiting....long story short Respect is reciprocal. If physicians are on time, patients will be on time. Because sometimes I feel certain dental offices will try to say you need things done to get more money in their pockets. Every time I've gone in his staff is courteous and friendly and have always been helpful if I had questions or concerns. I went here due to the good reviews and it didn't live up to it at all. I've always had a fear of the dentist and this guy certainly didn't help with that. I ended up having to get a filling and granted, the shot wasn't felt (only reason it's 2 stars instead of 1), but prior to the shot I was quite scared and visibility nervous. I was told to either calm down or leave. It was done in a very cold manner and did nothing to ease my fear. Once I calmed down enough to his preference, I got 2 shots and I could still feel it so asked for more anesthetic. He refused to give any more so I decided to try to continue the drilling, which was easily the most painful dental moment of my life for the couple seconds before I couldn't take it anymore. I was in tears from the pain and he still decided I wasn't in need of any more shots. He gave me a temporary filling (just putting putty in the cavity) and without any explanation walked into the back and shut the door and never came out to explain anything to me. The receptionist then had to be the one explain to me that I would have to go elsewhere to get my filling finished. Overall, don't go here if you are scared or have a high tolerance for anesthesia shots. read more

I had multiple fillings done in the past month. The first 3 fillings were done well and professional. I wanted to get 2 more fillings done and i let him know what teeth i wanted done. He decided to do 2 other fillings instead and not the ones i requested. I let him know this,but he explained that the other teeth were in worse shape.
